Is this for one location or spread accross 36 states? If one location, then this is why I will always commend Oyedepo. Give him N50bn and he will give you nothing less than 25 world class libraries fully stocked with 2019 books, a complimentary ICT system for management and some Air-conditioned reading areas. Some folks who can't access the overpriced library build with their taxes they forcefully paid will still condemn private entities blindly. |
LOVERS OF PRESIDENT MUHAMMADU BUHARI, this is solely for your eyes ONLY. TAKE IT TO HEART Great men and women of our nation, especially throughout this week. This thread is a good example of things to come this week!!
Sunday, February 10, 2019 PRESS RELEASE BY APC PRESIDENTIAL CAMPAIGN COUNCIL: DESPERATE PLANS BY PDP TO LAUNCH A SERIES OF CAREFULLY CHOREOGRAPHED FAKE NEWS EVERY SINGLE DAY TILL VOTING DAY. In a move reminiscent of how the PDP hired Cambridge Analytica in 2015 to scare voters from voting for President Muhammadu Buhari, we understand the PDP is at it again a few days to the actual voting day. This time, sources within the heart of the operations of the PDP and security sources have informed us of plans already concluded by the PDP and Alhaji Atiku Abubakar’s campaign team to roll out a series of fake news designed again to scare voters from voting for President Muhammadu Buhari. These fake news would consist of doctored videos and audio clips and fake news reports from fake news sites. Two of such fake news in the series have already been released through their proxies and nameless individuals. The first is an audio clip of a supposed “nurse” of President Muhammadu Buhari telling voters that the President is sick and cannot govern for another four years. We understand that a Nigerian girl whose real name is Sandra and who used a fake British accent did the said recording somewhere in Maitama in a house belonging to a PDP chieftain. Security operatives are already on her trail. The second fake news released is on the purported death of Leah Sharibu. This is a lie from the pit of hell as the Federal Government’s effort to set her free has reached an advanced stage. The other fake news lined up for the next few days by the PDP and Atiku’s handlers would consist of similar doctored audios, videos and fake news with no link to credible news sites. Our advice to the leadership of the PDP is that Nigeria must not burn because of their selfish ambition. Enough damage was done from these kinds of narratives they pushed out in 2015 from which we have not fully recovered till date. The election will come and go and Nigeria will remain one united, indivisible entity. We are shocked that the panic mode of the PDP has gone into overdrive, prompting them to push out such reckless fake news. We wish to advise the leadership of the PDP that in order to reduce this type of panic and desperation on their part in 2023 (that is, if they survive as a party), they must find something meaningful to do outside government patronage after they lose the 2019 election. This type of attitude is borne out of hanging around, idle and waiting endlessly for election cycles to try to get back to power to plunder our national resources. The bad news for them is that from feelers we are having on the ground, Nigerians are not yet prepared to forgive them for their 16 years of misrule, mismanagement and outright stealing of our national resources. Nigerians should therefore be on the alert regarding these series of fake news in the next few days. Thank you. Festus Keyamo, SAN, FCIArb (UK) Director, Strategic Communications, APC Presidential Campaign Council (Official Spokesperson)
The main issue here should be, how the govt is able to communicate with her captors so fast? What effort are they making to exploit this channel and secure her release? When faced with hard facts that expose the incompetence of your paymaster, you bury logic in a heap of shìt then go emotional and defensive. |

SaiATKUOBI2019: If anyone tells you the reason Buhari is not working is that he inherited corruption, tell them great leaders don't blame people and events for their failures. They simply accept responsibility and move on. Ask them, what has Buhari done after all the fake promise of fixing power in 6wks, reducing pump price to #45 naira, making N1 equal to a $ 1, stopping Boko Haram etc. It's a shame. The inferno truth is, corruption started from heaven when Satan violated a privilege given him. That never stop God's works. He waited for God to create man and brought his lawlessness and corruption into the garden of Eden. God wasn't moved. He introduced a redemption plan; The Savior was born, sadly, Judas Iscariot was there. Not discouraged yet, He gave us God the Holy Spirit. If anyone tells you the reason Buhari is not working is that he inherited corruption, tell them corruption is rooted in the DNA of homo sapiens ( Latin: wise man ) because we are just mere mortal infected with a virus of good & evil. Yet, great leaders don't blame people and events for their failures. They simply accept responsibility and move on." Buhari himself has a huge question mark over him because he endorsed a known thief in death - Abacha, and is surrounded by living thieves. His anti corruption histrionics is just a ploy to win the gullible over. Corruption has been institutionalized in Nigeria and only a change in structure can salvage this virtually non existent country. |

Same agbaje tried and struggled to be same puppet in 2007, but because he isn't that clever and intelligent, he equally lacks capacity to govern Lagos State was the reason Babatunde Fashola was chosen above him and others. BRF did proof it to the administration of the world If not for your blind hate and political bigortry, how did you appraise Agbaje as a governor when he hasn't governed any state yet. Just show your support for your chosen party and move forward, instead of passing judgement on people who were never chanced to rule Lagos. |

Rossikki: You're like a baby who washes only his belly when asked to bathe. Can't see beyond your immediate experience.
Critical thinking is not limited to the creation only of modern technology.
Before the industrial revolution of the 18th century, there was critical thinking. Sophisticated political, economic, and social systems were developed. Trade systems and protocols were developed. International shipping was developed. Well planned cities with glorious architecture, including pyramids, tunnels, and monuments, were developed. Magnificent works of art were developed. All of that required CRITICAL THINKING. It required the knowledge and use of mathematics, geometry, astronomy, geography, law, philosophy, engineering, architecture, and other disciplines to create the civilizations of the ancient world, many of which existed right here in Africa.
Without all that Critical Thinking - wrought development, there could be no modern world, and there would have been no industrial revolution.
Humans have lived on earth for a minimum of 50,000 years, and you are trying to say that it was only in the last 200 years of ''western'' civilization that critical thinking started, with the ''white man''?
Do you realise there is evidence of high technology existing thousands of years ago? When the ''white man'' was still in his caves? Have you heard of the Baghdad battery? A WORKING battery that was dated to 2000 years ago? There is pretty convincing evidence that the ancient Egyptians - ancient blacks - used electricity. And no one till today can explain how on earth they built those mighty pyramids.
Even suggestions of ancient flight persist. Heard of the Vimanas described in ancient Hindu texts dating thousands of years? These are flying craft described with stunning accuracy, and meeting today's standards and specifications for aerodynamics.
So shed your colonial complex and embrace the fact that 'critical thinking' is as old as humanity itself, and is not limited to ''white people''. So what has stopped us from using this critical thinking to forge ahead since the 15th century? You like to associate the present failures we see to some phantom past civilization that can't stand test of time. Why are we still using manual farm tools largely when hunger is killing people? Why can't we maintain roads, industrialize? or you think importing milk from new Zealand and Holland to seal in sachets in Lagos and Ogun is industrialization? |

Christianity Etc › Re: Is 'Critical Thinking' Induced By Race ? by CodeTemplar: 11:32pm On Feb 09, 2019 |
Rossikki: Very ignorant comment.
It took critical thinking to build Benin City, a city that had streetlights 300 years before London, and was compared at its 15th century peak to Amsterdam and Lisbon.
A city that had multi-storey buildings, underground drainage, and was surrounded by a rampart and wall that is rated the second largest human construction on earth after the Great Wall of China.
That took critical thinking.
It took critical thinking to create the world famous Ife Bronzes, the Benin Bronzes, and the Igbo-Ukwu Bronzes, all considered by experts worldwide to be at the very top echelon of human artistic accomplishments.
I could go on..
I really hope the govt will reintroduce the study of AFRICAN HISTORY to our schools so we stop seeing embarrassing posts like yours on NL. And why is this critical thinking not maintaining it? Critical thinking to me is invention of electricity, light bulbs, trains, roads, surgery, and the likes and not some pepper soup ingredients god. |

Martinez39: Between 1917 to 1991, the Soviet Union took chess seriously and it was their own way of showing that their system works. They would politic chess, spend money on their players and punish them if they lost. Guess what? the Russians dominated chess during that period and were the best in the world. They produced many world champions and chess giants like Alexander Alekhine, Mikhail Botvinnik, the magical Mikhail Tal, the impenetrable Tigran Petrosian, Boris Spassky, Anatoly Karpov, Garry Kasparov etc. They dominated chess except for a three year period (1972-1975) where the great Bobby Fischer was king and the USSR treated their chess superstars as national heroes and were given celebrity status. I guess you are right when you wrote that if a society places so much value on an intellectual endeavour, they are usually good at it. Asian parents place so much emphasis on academic excellence in the field of maths, physics, engineering and medicine. Little wonder they are out performing others. The Chinese go through a lot in training their gymnasts right from an early age and take their gymnastics seriously. No wonder they win a lot of gold medals. Well, while I agree with you to a large extent, I like to think of what you are communicating as the role of perspiration or hardwork. There is also a place for talent/talent discovery and inspiration. |

BronzeMajik: if there's one factor diminishing critical thinking especially in Africa it's religion Before religion came, what was our critical thinking culture like? You think the art consulting oracles on what to feed chicken to make them lay eggs more often is critical thinking? The white men who demystified the role of protein and other nutrients in chicken reproduction are largely Christians or religious people. How do you drive infrastructural development and tackle insecurity? How do you even curtail corruption in a systematic way? How many people can you arrest and imprison, and what really would that change in the long run?
This useless idiot lacks any development ideas. All he knows is to make noise about kuarapshin and arresting people. The lifeless bastard must be ejected this month, otherwise Nigeria's economy would collapse completely and our polity would be destroyed. The situation is critical. Ejecting this imbe.ci.l.e is the most important patriotic duty in Nigeria's history. Instead of strengthening the govt institutions to run effectively, he is busy trying to use it against people in the short term. That is why I ask, what happens when this man is gone? It shows even Buhari himself doesn't believe in Nigeria's current structure but on another hand he is resisting restructuring. That's contradiction. |

To me cache or processor cache is like the neck of a bottle. Its radius ( not area) can exponentially increase its area and thus input/output flow rate and that's similar to how a 3mb cache will greatly improve the performance of previously 2mb cache. I will choose a smaller ram of say 2gb with superior cache over a phone with 4gb ram as it has proven many times to be real performance influencer. |
