I swear, christianity will go into extinction by the year 2030. Let the sheeples keep fooling themselves
It is a pity people like OP make some basic mistakes to hand guys like you the opportunity to talk zigzag. God's move towards men are triggered by acts of man. God doesn't have a timetable the way OP is portraying here. Faith itself is a force and can be ramped up for a forceful delivery of our right/entitlement according to God's will.
God as a creator or the Chief creator also has the power to mould a vessel of honour out of same material he moulds another vessel to dishonour.
In fact the bible is one big book of analogies meant to open us up to things and nature of the spiritual realm/man which is where the true man exists. We have made bedtime stories of some of those analogies and that's why folks like you will type what you typed about Samson.
God works according to His own ways and a timetable of God's deeds toward men doesn't exist as we portray it. His blessings can be provoked as hinted in Malachi 3. He asks us to pay tithe and watch if he won't pour out His blessings upon us. That tells u there is a part you must play to set God in motion regarding that situation.
Alexaonfleek: I wonder when cu started offering medicine and law They haven't been accredited some courses I stand to be corrected tho.
So offering medicine and law is now a good gauge for school standard? Take the hatred and jealousy easy man. UI and OAU featured in the ranking and didn't perform better than Covenant so stop adjusting your perception of things to appeal to your ego, it amounts to delusion.
Their own prophet came to earth to preach hate and they saw nothing wrong in it. How can a true religion lay claim to govt properties like lands and wealth? That's a canal religion.
Primusinterpares: From 75k to 250k that's like over 300% hike...
Govt can't be sponsoring yahoo bois and runs girls. Let them.save up for university education. In America people don't complain about minimum wage but save for college education a decade before or more before their wards are due for college education. People also take loans to fund college education.
Homosexual feelings & Lesbian feelings are something I do not fully grasp. It is getting rampant by the day and may soon blow out of proportion. Why a man or woman would share sexual feelings for someone of the same sex is beyond my comprehension.
Studies have shown that it is somewhat prevalent in the teeenage age due to hormone surges bla bla bla. But then, it becomes a habit and habits are hard to break. There is need for more research on this subject.
Ihedinobi3: Question I am new here please. I need explanation concerning tithing. Why do pastors only quote Malachi 3? Whereas there are many verses that talked about tithing, from Old Testament to even Hebrews. Please I need very serious and convincing explanations Answer Hello. My explanation will be serious but you will decide just how convincing you find it. First of all, I cannot speak for any pastors concerning why they quote only Malachi 3. You will have to ask them. The best I can do is take an educated guess. And that is that it is probably the best way they can try to convince believers who don't know the Bible well to pay them money. Also, there may be the problem of spiritual immaturity on the part of the pastor so that he does not understand the Scriptures in this particular matter. Second, the tithe was the income tax of the ancient nation of Israel paid in agricultural products (both animals and plants crops or in their monetary equivalent plus 20% of the value). It was necessary to sustain the Temple worship and provide welfare for the indigent in the towns and villages and cities of Israel. Leviticus 27:30-33, Numbers 18:21-32, Deut 14:28-29. After the Lord Jesus Christ came and paid the Sacrifice in His Blood, the Law of Moses was removed and a new Law in Christ was instituted so that the ritual provisions of the Mosaic Law and the rituals associated with the Temple are no longer in force, certainly not for the Gentiles today. So the tithe is no longer in force. Heb 8:6-13. But under the New Covenant in Jesus Christ's Blood, we are now supposed to cheerfully and deliberately take responsibility for one another so that 1. those whom the Lord has tasked with feeding His Children with the Truth (that is, pastor-teachers) are provided with what they need for sustenance (1 Cor 9:4-14, Gal 6:6); 2. indigent believers find material support from fellow believers (2 Cor 8:13-15, 9:11-12); 3. unbelievers are witnessed to by our compassion and generosity toward each other and them as well (2 Cor 9:13). So, while we must not return to the Old Testament Mosaic Law in any form so that we do not blaspheme against the Lord Jesus Christ (any recourse to the Mosaic Law denies that the Lord Jesus Christ has come in the flesh and died for our sins, Gal 5:4), we are not therefore to become cruel and uncaring toward others. In fact, we are now called to a higher standard of life where we are to be proactive in helping others who are less fortunate in material circumstances than we are, of course prioritizing our pastor-teachers and fellow believers in this as well. May the Peace of the Lord Jesus Christ be with your spirit.
are you aware a born again christian is actually the modern day Jew/Israelite? So by you own explanation up there Christ's blood covers provision in the church?
Somebody already beat me to the Mathew 23:23 defence so I will refer you there.
fof1: DO UR OWN IN SECRET AND WITHIUT PRESS COVERAGE. HYPOCRISY AT ITS PEAK. ... THIS SINGULAR ACT AND CONSEQUENT PUBLICITY WILL TEACH, SHOW LOVE ABD UNITY AMONGST MEN OF GOOD WILL, THE CHURCH IN NIGERIA AND NIGERIANS GENERALLY AS PEOPLE READ ON NOW AND IN FUTURE....
Did God order you to teach others charity? There is a way that seemeth right to man but the end of it is . . . . .. . .?
Don't bring your Ogbomoso based aluta here OP. Minimum wage doesn't determine fee of public uni in 95% of nations out there. In USA people save for college education for average of a decade and even end up taking loans to fund their education.
Our economy is now an economy of balanced diet. Just serve them 2 cups of beans, 3 cups of rice, fish, egg, ginger-spiced zobo, and instant cocoa beverage (Milo).
No need to ask them to do anything with the strength the diet gave them.
asuustrike1: Many states do not value enough resources to cater for her need. They depend on revenue allocation from Abuja to sustain them, you don't expect such state to do well. Had it been many of them are generating revenue, they should be able to sustain their higher institutions. You pointed out that corruption, student population, research and operation scale are eating up funding in many state universities but you forgot that this phenomenon is also found in federal universities too yet they are doing well to a large extent
Federal unis have relatively better funding because they get funds from the centre. The states can't equally use lack of Abuja funds as excuse because Abuja isn't there to give them money endlessly.
fabinfos: A young Muslim lady identified as Amina Hassan, has sued her dad, Alhaji Adamu Hassan for banning her from marrying her Christian boyfriend.
Amina, 20 met her suitor Christopher from the Niger Delta region last year and recently introduced him to her father who rejected the relationship.
She immediately hired a lawyer to help convince her father.
Amina and her lawyer Barrister Ado Ali appeared before a Sharia Court at Magajin Gari area of Kaduna state yesterday where her lawyer begged the court to serve as her guardian in order to allow her wedding to hold.
In his objection, Alhaji Hassan through his lawyer said the only issue he has with Christopher is that he has no regard for him.
The girl’s counsel, however, prayed the court to grant the two parties two weeks to sort things out and reach an agreement.
In his ruling the Judge Lawal Dahiru said Alhaji Hassan has every right to assess his daughter’s suitors but has no right to force anyone on her.
He thereafter adjourned the case till the 29th of October for hearing.
HigherEd: I'm not surprised this is happening. I don't blame the university staff neither do i blame the students. However, hike in fees may be the pragmatic solution to Lautech's challenges. This is a lesson to admission seekers, if your parents are of a modest background, just do well and apply to Federal universities.
Codetemplar
The challenge with the bold is that people prefer to work smart and not work hard like you recommended. They do this by bribing their way into the school and when this is the case they tend to be the unmotivated type whom yahoo, G and runs often appeal to after grad.
asuustrike1: The presidency mean well in respect to minimum wage. The federal government may pay but many states can't pay.
In advanced nations, minimum wage level hardly features in the factor determining university fee of funding level. People save for college fee of their ward right from birth in some advanced nation like USA, Canada. It is only in Africa people assume govt impregnated their mother and therefore govt must train and employ them. if govt is training you and the society needs your skill then it is only normal govt try to employ as many of as possible. There is no room for employment any longer. Look at the minimum wage debacle alone. Money don't grow on trees.
asuustrike1: You are right. State universities shouldn't exist in the first place because many states can't sustain it.Most Federal universities are increasing their fees from time and with time it might be beyond the reach of the common man.
I disagree. State uni should exist but limit their operation to let's say biological science, Engineering, Arts, or Business or Even IT or Artisan education. The fact that that Lautech a state uni owned by two states and already limited in operation to technology and sciences isnt running smoothly shows there is fire on the mountain.
Some factors that eats up university funding are 1. Student population. 2. Research 3. Corruption 4. Operation scale.
These can be varied to adjust required funding level before asking students to pay more. The students themselves are also guilty in a sense. how many of them can defend their knowledge acquired? If the plan of a dull student is to grad then start hustling ( runs or G ) for money, why should government be sponsoring such a students?
The thing about lautech here is same thing affecting our whole educational system. under- funding, leakages or wastage of available funds and admission racketeering to unmotivated student. Even if you increase the fee, what happens to the corruption within the school that eats up a good chunk of the fee?
dmakoy: Covenant University Registrar, Olumuyiwa Oludayo has finally stepped down.
You forgot to state that he was brilliant a student who grad with 4.49 cgpa and that was largely attributed to his student council commitment taking toll on his academic focus. He dropped out of first class at the very last second. It was a popular story then in 2006.
In the Old Testament the bible makes us understand that one of the benefits of tithe is God rebuking the devourer. Since our anti-tithe army have dispelled the usefulness of tithes after the coming of Jesus, How can I provoke Gods intervention in rebuking the devourer or personally rebuke the devourer effectively?
Please let's keep it simple and provide bible backed arguments.
UgwuAghachi: As an Igbo man, I don't need to go out of my way to campaign for Atiku/Obi. Nigerians from all the regions are tired of APC. 2019 election is not about Igbo vs Yoruba, its about Nigerians tired of an inept backward president and his conniving powerless VP and sending them packing out of government house
Is APC the dominant party in SS/SE? You buttress my point further again.
Things are really getting worst by the day. Imagine a government owned institution paying that high...Yet the quality of education is in an all time poor condition.
SMH for this country. Let's use our PCV wisely o. My2kobo
UgwuAghachi: Yoruba people like Sowore and Durotoye are contesting but Yoruba won't vote their sons but will rather vote a lifeless clueless Buffon.
By attacking the Yorubas like this you already proving my points. You are insecure and dont have any real means of luring people to support what you support or sell your political ideas and thus resort to tribal blackmail. Look at delta APC, is there any Yoruba or Hausa man there? None, but delta state folks treated APC like that when it was formed. Tribal blackmail is harder to disquise than you think.
