Why should I answer the question myself? You are the one making the claim. Meanwhile, you haven't answered the following:

If u say that there is no certainty that terrorists are communicating with govt with cell phones, what now makes u think there is certainty that the terrorists are communicating among themselves with cellphones?

Is there any record that turning off cell towers affected their activities?

Before this last incident in Kaduna, what steps did the govt take to neutralise the bandits?

If sheik gumi knows where bandits are, how come all the security agencies in Nigeria don't no where bandits are?

Are the bandits ghosts?
You simply don't pay attention I have answered literally all your questions...

There is certainty that terrorist use cell phones amongst themselves because many of the raid the military carried out of them ..all of their weapons and belongings displayed includes regular touchlight phones...you hardly or almost never see walkie talkies or satellite phones...
Meaning they use regular cell phone amongst themselves..

If they used cellphones.... definitely the tower shutdown must have affected their operations...
You don't need to hear that from government..you should go into the bushes and interview them...

Inshort the cell tower shutdown didn't ground communication activities as there are some areas you could make calls with certain networks..

If you are talking about steps the military took against bandit..
I told you once a while when they are sitted..not specifically in Kaduna...they are usually neutralized In which many of the news makes it to nairaland frontpage in which you most certainly ignore...

And if you want to know the exact details of the steps they take...am afraid not..such information will jeopardize their effort...
All you need to know is if those steps yield results..and once a while it does..

Even the railways incident..there were steps to prevent it..but I am sure you read the details on how it was fustrated..if you doubt it...go to arise news and for the first railway attack...not this current one...and listen to amaechi talk..

Happy Easter

U should be able to answer that urself..
Will someone commiting a crime Intentionally want to link it

Also, from news of the attacks from the military.where pictures are taken.you hardly see walkie talkies or satellite phones..
It normal phones obviously for communication..

But why did the govt force Nigerians to get NIN? Isn't it because of these type of scenarios? Why did govt shut down communication towers in some northern states some time ago if mobile phones don't come into play?
The bolded is because they were using phones amongst themselves...not with the government..and it possible..those sims couldnt have been linked..

What I said is...

There is no certainty that mobiles phones arw used between government and terrorist..

And if they are..
This is a critical issue..that involves the lifes of many ..
If the call is traced..it doesn't guarantee that the location is where the victims are being held...
And government acting foolishly to invade the place could mean the end of those lives

“We acknowledged it and we appreciate it. But what we want to add is that the government should speed up the process of discussion with them (terrorists) so that they can come out to release our people soonest. This is our appeal now,” he added.
The government says they are on top of the issue..

They didn't say specifically...that they and negotiating

And the family of the victims could have assumed that "being on top of the issue" means they are negotiating..

The Koko is dat...
Did government say they were negotiating according to the article....

You just spoke my mind and it's d same questions I have asked several times in previous posts. The level of intelligence of people in this govt is less than that of nursery school kids. They blocking lines for NIN all in d name of security yet using the same phone to negotiate with terrorists
There is no certainty that mobiles phones are used for communications...the terrorist know better..

During the reign of Boko Haram...
They had a way of making their demands publicly known by dropping letters or video clips..not direct phone calls chat

DaveDGreat:
Dear Sir,

May God bless you for this. Even if Him nor want bless you before, make Him bless you twice and without delay.

It's only a fool that would ignore this advice of yours.

While in the university, I just wanted to graduate due to the hardship I was going through then. Lecturers rarely knew me. Except in final year when I was opportuned to lead two teams on research (project team and engineering design teams) both under very cerebral professors. In fact, my HOD only knew who I was when a company wanted to recruit the best students and he had to call me since I graduated amongst the best.

Recently, I became interested in foreign scholarships and saw the essence of research experience, publications, and leadership experiences. Na so I go back go publish my project. Did research assistant for free (it was very very very stressful) and working on other publications too.

When I wanted to start applying for grad school, my undergrad project supervisor was angry that I didn't inform him that I was having issues getting my transcript. This professor used his influence to help me get it on time from a Federal University ooo. I cried tears of joy. You need to see the strong recommendations I got from two professors, my HOD and 3 other lecturers. They school will request for 2 recommendations and I'll supply 3 grin Which school nor go respect HOD and professors recommendations?

By God's grace, it's paying off. I applied and get MS positions with funding. The last time, the professor (over there) was telling me she would be glad I join her and that she would do all within her power to help with funding. I just shock. I just collected my transcript this January ooo and applied after deadline while some I just hurriedly applied cos deadline was fast approaching.

If I tell you that I never knew about scholarships till last year, you go shock and LinkedIn made it possible cause I saw my classmate from another dept wey don JAPA. I regretted not knowing this while in school.

Now, I tell the young people in my dept that they should "chingum" a lecturer and beg him to allow them participate in his/her research, they ignore me. I would have kept quiet but I now see my mistakes and I don't want them to repeat it.

NOTE

Please if you're an undergraduate in any University in Nigeria, don't joke with that our oga I quoted just said. Don't joke with your lecturers thinking that you would need them after school, Las Las you would always come back.

Please be humble, be kind and respect them.

What's stopping FG from doing their own lobbying? Always looking for who to blame for their uselessness and failure.

As if Ghana needed to do much, to get companies to leave Nigeria for them. Who will choose a Terrorist-ridden country, with no constant power supply, clueless leaders, stvpid policies/ exorbitant taxes and a totally failed economy over a country with constant light, no terrorism, fast growing economy, good business environment and actual leaders?

Post-utme is partly because of the prevalent cheating and "miracle centres" not necessarily because of space sir.
No one is saying Private universities can't perform. I believe in possibilities.
So are they now miracle centres for jamb?

Look have u tried u check online the requirements for admission in foreign universities even within Africa...if it isn't tedious will u see Nigerians applying in bulk and see majority being successful...

Look let be honest it not only our bad system that prevents foreigners from applying into universities in Nigeria....

It only universities in nigeria that will tell u to
Present ur O, level results with atleast credit in all in no more than a single sitting..
Many will say u can't combine two o level results..
As if that isn't enough u must apply through jamb and sit for the jamb exams ...after studying and suffering to get let say 250+

Bastard nigerian universities will still say..u must visit the institution and conduct a screening
And u must pick them as first choice..2nd choice isn't even good enough..
U will see students travelling kilometers to do this...
After doing this .they travel back home

..next they will still invite successful candidate to still sit for post UTME ...like WTF... huh
After studying to pass all subjects in o, levels and writing jamb again..
I will still travel back again for the useless post utme exams...

They don't even give a damn...even if ur coming sokoto or Maiduguri and the school is in portharcourt....u must still enter bus down to the school to write it...

If God help u and u eventually pass...

U will be asked to travel and come for another screening where u will be asked to physically present some useless letters of good conduct , LGA certificate and useless documents....for what nahuh huh
What do dey need my LGA certificate for?..is it by letter that I will be proven of good conduct? huh

Now imagine after all this .many will still be denied the admission... Even those who are successful..a huge percentage must have known somebody inside...

Take ur time to reason....if this is how other government owned institution in foreign countries conduct their admission..will u see nigerians in numbers finding it easy going there?...

Or u think any nigerian even rich ones will waste flight ticket to go the school for screening and still flyback to Nigeria to wait for the admission?

In this era where ur jamb and pass in all ur necessary subject in waec or neco should be enough...and every application should be done online....
Some stupid universities will tell to even applying again in their website after applying in jamb...
And ask u to still come and present urself physically In the name of first screening...isn't that madness?

But when private universities now decide to ease the process like it is done anywhere in the world by only apply with only o, level and jamb results through jamb portal only ..and ofcourse not traveling distances to the school for any useless screening and they grant u ur admission sharp sharp once u meet their requirements..
Nigerians call them glorified secondary schools...

truly...suffer no dey tire una ..

I started laughing when I got to 200million people as if the 200million people are the ones writing Jamb... As much as I won't want to dwell on that, the 200million includes the millions of graduates out of the universities and many who aren't planning to even go to university. So when next you bandy figures think well.

We've not even talked about polytechnics o.

Now to address the essentials,
How many people are in our Federal universities? And who scored 305 in jamb, passed post-utme and was refused admission simply because no sufficient admission space? Telling lies won't help you.

The bolded is subjective so I'll skip that.

This is a weak argument because it shows you don't understand the issue.Ask yourself the number of students in those private universities. Do they even have the requisite faculties to accommodate those competitive courses? Or you think we are talking about just going to courses that you can study online?

Oga , we are talking about Universities not coaching centres.

I wonder the logic in this. So why have more schools without accreditations? How is this solving the problem if not compounding it? I just tire for this kain reasoning.

Your last point is so watery. So the government should encourage those profiteering from the destruction of our universities?Encourage moneybags to fleece the already impoverished citizens?

Finally, if you have the money spend it on quality. You can even travel abroad or go the established ones like Covenant University.
I have seen aspirants rejected with my Koro Koro eyes...after scoring 290+ for medicine...and unijos disowned them...
I have seen some in FUTA who couldn't get elect elect after 270 in jamb..and ofcourse a good score in post utme...and dey come and dash Dem physics education.... nonsense...
U think if there were spaces..uni will even see the necessity conducting post utme ..if it not just to further fustrate students...

Am average 1.5m to 1.8m Sit for jamb every year...can the entire higher institution take such number...

By the way...it not ripping off .if any parents decide to pay 1m+ for a child's fee in a private uni rather than pay 30k in unilag.

Many of u think it only government institution that can deliver..and then other private uni are just some secondary school because their student don't go through the totally unnecessary hardship government students go through...

It's okay to differ but make sure you contribute without being rude.
It's unfortunate you can't see how abandoning public universities and allowing alternatives will affect them.

By the way,
Did it occur to you that these schools won't be free? How many Nigerians will be able to afford them?Where will the manpower come from?New graduates or the ones from the public you refused to pay?

Is decongesting the schools the problem or equipping them with modern facilities and paying the staff? Your suggestion is tantamount to destroying the ones they have and allowing substandard ones start. This will further waterdown the quality of higher education in Nigeria.

Need I remind you that it'd take time for those schools to get full accreditation?
Maybe you think every private university is Covenant.

Friend, it is not as simplistic as you are making it look. There are ripple effects and no one who loves this country should support anyone who waste resources on useless ventures and become frugal when it comes to education.

The Simple logic should have been improve/preserve the ones you have, equip them, motivate the academics and staff. Those 12 new universities can wait, we already have
43 Federal universities
48 State universities and
79 Private universities many of which you'll be shocked if you visit
It unfortunate how u think 43 federal and 48 state universities are enough for over 200 million people
No be only by equipping them and motivating lecturers..how will someone score 305 in jamb and still be rejected because of no sufficient admission space..
U think high cut off mark is because the course is good.. absolutely not..it is because there are not sufficient space to absorb the demand
...if private venture come in and say they can take away some of the burdens..why deny them?

Secondly it takes time for private institution to be fully accredited same it is for public ones..inshort mention any public ones that have all it courses 100% accredited...this excuse is stale

And lastly
Not everybody is broke as u think...if those building these expensive institution don't see a market or class of people who will attend for them to make profit...tell me why dey still venture into it...or you think u are wiser than them
