DrTee1: But why did the police have to shoot at the man in the roof who bore no arms?
I know the society is charged, but extra-judicial killing isn't right either. You don't shoot at an unarmed person except the court of competent jurisdiction has passed a death sentence, isn't it?
However, looking closely, despite the close proximity, it doesn't look like the suspected kidnapper in the roof was hit by the gunshot. He should have crumpled to the floor from the roof and died if that happened. However, his descent, thought fast, showed some clumsy coordination, suggesting that he wasn't killed.
Yet, this poses another challenge: how can our security agencies shoot that closely and not hit the intended target? knowing that kidnapping for Ransome, these days, now appear to be a business, I have no qualms with taking out any/all of the perpetrators knowing how slowly the wheels of justice grinds and the high possibility that these fellows would most likely return to the trade to cause more anguish and disruptions to the live of future captives and their families. We're in such a time where we can not afford to let confirmed kidnappers see a new day to cause people more pains. |

Amwitty: This is so heartbreaking to read. I’m truly sorry for your loss. My aunt also experienced something very painful in her marriage. She and her husband didn’t know their genotypes before getting married he was SS and she was AS. She had just given birth to their last child when her husband passed away. Sadly, she later lost her first son just a few months before his university graduation, and then lost her second son only a month after his graduation from Uni. She now has two daughters left, but the younger one is living with SS and is constantly in and out of the hospital almost every two weeks. Each time her daughter falls sick, my aunt breaks down in tears, saying, “I’m sorry for bringing this pain upon you.” It’s honestly so difficult and painful to witness. Hmmm… it is well. it is well! |

mctech: You don't know what you are saying.
If you have ever cared for an SS you will know that the pain, agony and sorrow it brings is more than the joy they have other the remaining five children.
Think of it as someone having a terminal disease from day one of his life. I have a customer that has remained inconsolable since opening up to me. Said the mandated genotype tests prior to his marriage said he was "AA" thus giving his the greenlight to proceed with marrying his wife, AS. Two children, and five years now, with recurrent visits to the hospital, he says he's totally miserable! More than he earns goes to managing those two kids. In the thick of his trauma, a new test (and a confirmatory test as well) has now shown he is AS and those kids are SS. He's totally heartbroken. To fully understand the extent of his frustrations, just imagine how a member of the Jehovah's Witnesses would want to consider having a new/right wife knowing how slim the chances of survival the ones he now has(AS) is. |

Phones › Re: How To Connect Your Phone To Tv by coldFLARES1(m): 5:33am On May 06 |
ifezymoslimited: In the fast-paced world of digital content, being able to connect your phone to a TV instantly transforms how you view, share, and present videos, campaigns, and ideas. A leading digital marketing agency shares this complete step-by-step tutorial to help creators, businesses, and everyday users get the most out of their devices. Whether you're reviewing ad creatives, streaming content, presenting to clients, or enjoying movies on a larger display, mastering phone-to-TV connection is now an essential skill. This guide covers every major method with clear instructions, pro tips, and troubleshooting advice. WHY PHONE-TO-TV CONNECTION IS ESSENTIAL High-quality video dominates digital marketing and entertainment. Viewing content on a small phone screen often fails to show the full impact. Connecting to a TV enables: • Better campaign analysis and review • Professional client presentations • Enhanced family sharing and entertainment • Improved content creation preview Here are the most effective ways to connect your phone to your TV. Method 1: Wireless Screen Mirroring – Fast and Cable-Free Wireless mirroring is the go-to solution for most users due to its convenience. However, for wireless casting to work, your phone and TV must be connected to the same Wi-Fi network. Detailed Explanation: What Does “Same Wi-Fi Network” Mean? Wi-Fi is the wireless internet connection in your home or office. Your router (the box usually provided by your internet service provider) broadcasts this Wi-Fi signal. • When both your phone and TV are connected to the exact same Wi-Fi network, they can “see” and communicate with each other directly. • If one device is on Wi-Fi and the other is using mobile data, or if they are connected to different networks (e.g., one on 2.4GHz and another on 5GHz, or one on a “Guest” network), they usually cannot connect for screen mirroring. How to Connect Both Devices to the Same Wi-Fi (Step-by-Step) On Your Phone: 1. Swipe down from the top of your screen to open Quick Settings. 2. Tap the Wi-Fi icon (it may show the network name). 3. Turn Wi-Fi ON. 4. Tap your home Wi-Fi network name (e.g., “MyHomeWiFi”). 5. Enter the Wi-Fi password if asked and tap Connect. 6. Confirm it says “Connected” under the network name. On Your Smart TV: 1. Press the Home or Settings button on your TV remote. 2. Go to Network or Wi-Fi Settings (the exact name differs by brand – Samsung, LG, Sony, etc.). 3. Select your Wi-Fi network from the list. 4. Enter the same password you used on your phone. 5. Wait for it to say “Connected”. Important Tips: • Use the main Wi-Fi network, not a “Guest” network. • Both 2.4GHz and 5GHz bands usually work, but 5GHz gives better speed and less lag for mirroring. • Many routers have both bands under one name (Smart Connect). If your router has separate names (e.g., MyWiFi-2.4 and MyWiFi-5), connect both devices to the same one. Once both devices are on the same Wi-Fi, proceed with mirroring: For Android Phones 1. Swipe down twice from the top of your screen to open Quick Settings. 2. Tap Smart View, Screen Mirroring, Cast, or Wireless Display. 3. Select your TV from the available devices and confirm the connection. For iPhone Users 1. Make sure both devices are on the same Wi-Fi. 2. Open Control Center and tap Screen Mirroring. 3. Choose your TV (Apple TV or AirPlay 2 compatible smart TV). 4. Enter the AirPlay code shown on the TV screen. Most modern smart TVs from major brands now support smooth wireless casting with minimal lag. Method 2: HDMI Wired Connection (Best for Zero-Lag Performance) For situations that require perfect stability, such as live presentations or gaming, a wired connection delivers reliable results. What You’ll Need: • USB-C to HDMI adapter or cable (for most Android and newer iPhones) • Lightning to HDMI adapter (for older iPhones) • Standard HDMI cable Step-by-Step Instructions: 1. Connect the HDMI cable to an available HDMI port on your TV. 2. Plug the other end into your phone using the correct adapter. 3. Switch your TV input source to the matching HDMI port. 4. Allow screen access on your phone when prompted. A useful tip is to use adapters that support simultaneous charging so the phone stays powered during long sessions. Method 3: Streaming Devices for Seamless Experience Dedicated streaming devices offer excellent performance and ease of use. • Google Chromecast: Plug the device into your TV’s HDMI port, set it up once through the Google Home app, and cast directly from supported apps using the Cast icon. For full screen mirroring, use the Cast Screen option. • Amazon Fire TV Stick: Supports easy mirroring with strong Alexa integration. • Roku Devices: Reliable option compatible with both Android and iOS devices. These tools are particularly useful for consistent performance when reviewing video content or running digital campaigns. Method 4: Samsung DeX Mode – Desktop Experience on TV Samsung Galaxy users can unlock advanced productivity: 1. Connect your phone to the TV using a USB-C to HDMI adapter. 2. DeX mode activates automatically, providing a desktop-like interface. 3. Pair a Bluetooth keyboard and mouse for full control. This setup works exceptionally well for editing, planning, and team reviews. Method 5: Media Streaming Without Full Screen Mirroring For playing specific videos or photos without mirroring the entire phone screen: • Use apps such as VLC, Plex, or your TV’s built-in player. • Enable media sharing on your phone. • Browse and stream files directly from the TV. This method conserves battery life and offers smoother playback for large files. Troubleshooting Common Connection Issues Even reliable methods can occasionally face challenges. Here’s how to resolve them quickly: • No devices detected: Restart phone, TV, and router. Confirm both are on the same Wi-Fi network. • Lag or poor quality: Switch to a wired connection or use 5GHz Wi-Fi. • No sound or black screen: Update your phone’s operating system and TV firmware. • Connection drops: Move closer to the router and reduce interference from other devices. Keeping devices updated to the latest Android or iOS versions significantly improves stability. Advanced Tips for Optimal Results • Activate Game Mode on your TV when testing mobile games or live streams. • Use 4K HDR settings for high-quality video previews. • Explore multi-device casting features available on newer smart TVs. • For security, always disconnect from shared or office TVs after use. Businesses and content creators should consider investing in a quality 4K streaming device for regular professional use. Connecting your phone to a TV has become simpler and more powerful than ever. Whether through wireless casting, HDMI cables, or dedicated devices, the right method depends on your specific needs and devices. This guide provides everything needed to get started and achieve professional results. Experiment with different options to find what works best for your workflow. No truer and apt way to describe the man Buhari, and the fact the Omatseye works at the "Nation Newspaper" purportedly owned by Tinubu shouldn't serve to taint the article with a bias coloration.
I was around, but too young to know the damage Buhari did in his stint as a military Head of State, but looking back to how he enabled banditry, ruined the economy, did nothing to rein in corruption and caused us extreme pains, by coloring some denominations of the naira and pegging insane withdrawal limits just to frustrate PBAT and the chances of his party, ......the man was selfish and did more for cows than men.
God forgive his errors and grant him rest, but I'd rather remember him as someone who plunged Nigeria into a deeper mess after begging to be given a chance to salvage it from a crisis situation. |

Is that fellow a combatant? No weapon? No helmet? Who is he? . Someone actually thought he's the troop's juju man. At some point he was showing emotions of genuine concern for their safety (human fear, if you like). So , I doubt he's their juju-man. Because he's not properly kitted for combat, I'd like to think he's a prisoner on death row, as such it doesn't matter whether he lives or dies. So pathetic! And that white sack he's bearing? All shall be well! May God keep these combatants risking their lives in poorly coordinated operations to keep us secured. |

Whoever is chopping the defense money, know that karma will catch up with you. Wasting the lives of innocent ( or not too innocent) soldiers , with inadequate equipment and arms...it's not fair o! . I watched the video and honestly feel terrible. I'm not a security expert, but if this is kind of engagement the military has with armed bandits/terrorists from time to time, then it's simply sacrificing soldiers for nothing. I just cannot critique this Operation, but is thankful it wasn't an engagement because breadwinners and loved ones would have been wasted through thoughtless planning. If my dad was made to go through 5 Operations like this without aerial support especially, I know he wouldn't have retired alive. My hope is that our military strategist would do more in intelligence gathering so that planned combat Operations as this would result in less casualties on the side of our ground troops. |

They actually meant 600m total liters that have been refined since the refinery came on stream not daily. I'm not sure that was expressly stated, nor was it implied. 600m litres could be correct! It was said 20 trucks are daily dispatched with products. If they're 33,000 litres capacity trucks, them you already have approximately 6.6m litres daily. 4litres make a gallon and 40gallons make a barrel. |

So if I were u, I go just relax and let them enjoy their lives . Truth is they don't entirely 'enjoy' their lives which is why we are duty-bound as the more reasonable ones to educate people, especially the ones we have filial connections with, to the dangers of unrestrained procreation. We're it not for for blood, God knows I would have ignored my sister, but now when water don pass garri, she has to be helped to stay alive to tend to the hordes she populated the world with. I don't even know what answer I'd give to her that would not sound like an insult. I've been totally downcast since probing my younger sister last night after she approached me for assistance with an health-related issue. We're not a close knit family because I long detached from reenacting any behaviour that could limit the opportunities of my kids like I had with my parents (yet dad did his utmost best. God forgive his errors and rest his soul). She's 8yrs my junior, now has 6kids and is presently a single-mom, abandoned by the man she had the children for. Sadest part was, the man absconded in 2015 abandoning her with 5 children; returned in 2021 to impregnate her with the sixth child and has abandoned her now. Was heartbreaking, I asked her to convince me she wasn't a witch who loved to suffer needlessly. |
