hotwax:You see, pathetic as our case is, the president was largely helped into office by the mass of the illiterate North and the number of us who stayed indifferent when the political process was on. I made the grave mistake of voting him in 2015 but was constrained not to participate in 2019 because of a defaced voters card. To be honest, Buhari's type from the north would still be president if pitted against the best from the south if those illiterates religiously stick with him while we chose to boycott the process either for fear an unfair or incredible process. As for this ambush, my heart goes out to the families of the fallen soldiers who would have to live with the loss, however, I am deeply saddened by the fact that the military authority would have us believe they don't know how many soldiers met the tragic fate because of fear of an outcry. Such an unintelligent deployment of troops when they are well aware of the opponent's capabilities. |
SanusiGworo:For me, your proposition should be prioritized over the lawmaker's. Na those illiterates up north make thunder strike for thesame place two times for this country even when the Bible says "affliction shall not rise a second time" according to Nahum 1:9 If you stop those dolts, no semi literate being without a verifiable education would be elected by literates to lead. |
bigpicture001:To say, gals are overall very stingy is to have stated it nicely. It would be near impossible to maintain the energy with which vows were exchanged on the wedding day. We both have been constrained by life's experiences to change, in some ways, and some of these changes are hard to cope with. Some wives were very supportive pre-marriage and that was their unique selling point, but you find them being stingy to their husbands because of the need to channel resources to take care of their parents and/or siblings -responsibilities which would break down their husbands if asked to help out. E no easy! We sha dey try. |
Afodot0022:Thank God for your experiences of a turnaround in financial fortunes following the birth of your second child. It's a 50/50 chance of success. For me, the decision to abort, with pills especially, should be dependent on how far gone the pregnancy is so has not to risk birthing a child with deformities. To the Op, my advise to keep the pregnancy is because your wife has fibroid! The weight of being responsible for a kid is huge, not to talk of adding another mouth when you're already struggling to be practically responsible. Good luck with your decision. |
khorex:About Accessbet, we are both united in commending them for their prompt, honorable, innovative and customer -centric services. They are on a class different and far above bet9ja. As for the guy I quoted initially, you can be rest assured he is not talking about a withdrawal on/deposits. I don't know of any being company that allows that. Was actually corroborating the guy's experience because my payout is still yet to be retired into my account since making the application yesterday morning. Something Access bet would have settled not more than 5mins after the application. God forbid that Bet9ja would push one into patronizing their shops that is open to all manner of miscreants. |
Organicist95:it does sure look like scam, but they'll get served. They assume theirs is just to pool people's money lost to bets while looking to tell stories when people manage to win. I pointed out to a call center agent how they should have gone past this inefficiency especially given their market share, but she thinks they are too big to fail. As soon as my account is fully drawn down, I'd resist the temptation to look their way. Wetin Accessbet dey tidy under 5mins na im dis guys want use agbari corner. |
WilliamsTheGrea:Single moms, especially those without the means to adequately cater for their child(ren) tend to show extreme love to clueless guys, who could fill in the gap, because they're in a mad search for a lifeline. Final decision would have to be yours ultimately, but be aware that you would train another man's child whose only duty after donating sperm, say thirty years down the line, would be to cry and beg for the forgiveness of your wife (assuming you go ahead to marry her) and his son. Being responsible for a child is not beans and it's the joy of knowing that you sired that child that serves as fuel on the journey! Then, to 'father' a stubborn child whose mom suspects your motive at correcting/moulding her child? Damn! Five years ago, I would have done that, but today? God forbid! |
Dpharisee:Truth be told, some guys may have committed suicide if they faced the kind of betrayal you faced after all the commitments. I think people resort to extreme measures relative to the extent of their commitments; the length of the period involved and above all, the likelihood or not of hitting that level of financial success that made them commit to such fraudulent ventures. Way back, I heard of a story of a guy in Rivers working on the NLNG train VI construction, who in the hope of marrying his gf, paid all expenses on her schooling (as a matter of fact, he usually surrendered all of his earnings to her, in the name of love, while she in turn hands him stipend to live by). Heard he committed suicide from shock, disappointment, betrayal, and an irredeemable waste of an economic opportunity when the girl, shortly after her graduation was mindless enough to thank him with an invitation to her wedding to another fellow entirely. You need some strength to cope with these situations, bit the best safeguard is not to allow oneself to commit to such misadventure. While we remember all we lost to ventures like this, and thank God for the strength with which we bore the losses, May God rest his soul and comfort those he left to mourn him. |
kittykollinxx:Not exactly a waste sir. Treasury bills doesn't pay that much when compared; stock market won't guarantee such gains, though it has the capacity to deliver multiple of that in a bullish market; sports betting? I reserve my comments. Because they fell for a ponzi after all the warnings, one could say they deserve to lose their monies because even the Bible says a fool and his money are soon parted (proverbs 21:20). |
kerzhim:Ogbeni, football no dey follow the logic of syllogism. This match hard us gan , but overall na the results we go remember after all the sweat. Congratulations Liverpool. YNWA!! |
izospindle:Don't dare do it. Way back, a friend quite particular about my 'progress' as an undergraduate scholar brought his nephew to make a business proposition to me that is supposed to be an equal partnership. We drew an agreement and I made my equity contribution but was shocked not to find any profits to share as per our agreement, when the date fell due. Of course I took drastic measures which produced a fraction of my investment but ended up destroying the friendship (no apologies). Not against helping a friend, but rendering assistance for a purpose which doesn't profit him directly is taking a hugely very risky gamble..... and you would lose! He wants to make up the fees of a gf? Makes it even worse! Let's not talk about monies lost to such enterprise at all. Just tell him to gamble with his money so he can learn his lessons when it's break time. How young men wilfully take on responsibilities they shouldn't contemplate is beyond me. She no get papa? My brother, if your friendship should end because you have refused to funnel your funds to take care of your friend's foolishness, let it end! Just take 2k from your savings and get 2 other friends to a roadside bar to drink beer because you would have lost the whole of your 70k. |
ambassadorgozie:Paddy, the haste with which some bad/unfortunate cycles go to completion would marvel. For me, it was absolutely insensitive and inappropriate not to have judged the situation correctly before proceeding to wrap your hands around her shoulders all in a bid to persuade her to eat with you. Haha! I take lessons from experiences and would not have done what you did in 2006! So, don't fight your sack after all no be you create the job and no be you go pay yourself salaries. Take the lessons and continue with your life. Las Las, you go dey okay. Sorry for your loss. All shall be well! |
patani:Up until your post, I only got to read silly rants of properly uneducated fellows, that I wondered if I had started lacking comprehension. I don't know about Nigeria's VAT of 7.5% being one of the least in Africa, but would have loved to be availed what items are covered. But the part I loved was exempting companies with annual turnover less than #25m from paying company income tax. Another one that gets my thumbs up is the PSC profits. Makes sense to me! |
Abujaexpress:Thanks for being humane to pay her wages pro rata after she absconded. Many won't do and that includes me too. As for flinging a document to/at her, let judges that don't know what heck it is to run a business masturbate on the propriety of your actions, if it makes them feel good. As for accepting her back, especially for compassionate reasons, please be guided! Even, IT students that in some cases pay for internship would not absond and dare to beg to be reinstated not to talk of someone in a paid employment, however small she considers her take-home. I don't know how big your firm is or how many people you have in your employ, but I think there's even no need to tell her to come formally end her employment. Baba, simply change your locks and get a new secretary. Please allow people to always take responsibility for their actions so that one day, in future, we shall have more sensible people than idiots. |
LesbianBoy:Your oracle lied on this. |
Ancellotti résumé is quite rich, suggesting it would be odd not to expect him to achieve measurable success with Everton especially considering the array of stars therein that have been consistently dismal before now. But, when I look back at how Pelligrini has been demystified at Westham after his successes at Man City, I cannot but wish Ancellotti well. We enjoy the competitiveness of the EPL and would be sufficiently excited to see him genially appropriate a UCL slot for Everton. |
HolyHero:Good you reconsidered. Filling stations for example have been structured to earn fixed amount on their products while compliance is ensured by the DPR. POS was a tool to help the government's cashless policy and more suited for the convenience of the customer. So why should one expect a business to eat into its profits to remit a statutory 'Stamp Duty"for a service not more beneficial to it as it is to the customer? Doesn't make sense and is impracticable! In due time, CBN would know just how sensible this 'clever-by-half' clarification is and how well it bodes for the government's cashless policy and act appropriately. |
rockcitie:A man could have a reason sir. Here's mine: It's less than 7 months and i can't recall the details but i guess wifey wanted us to talk nd i said i was tired and needed my sleep. She started, I left for the parlour with d blanket for fear of mosquitoes yet she followed me, ranting endlessly and was even moving to seize the blanket so mosquitoes could kill me. Where else would i have walked away to at 2am in a self-contained? Tell me why a slap wasn't a good way to cure such irrationality. |
YelloweWest:As married men, we face challenges that are huge, varied and very real, as such I don't subscribe to facing yet unnecessary squabbles on the home front. I did say it was irresponsible of him not to have called to inform his wife he would be returning so late. Yet, I consider it unreasonable to hound him everywhere, even after his apologies (he said he did before the slap), on account of the slight. Talking about divorce, I don't see a reason not to if the head could be side-stepped in such manner. They are a young couple and should be allowed an opportunity to resolve issues without interference, except it hs been established that a party lacks the ability for peaceful timely resolution of conflicts but is yet still interested in the union. So, my advise remains: ignore the wife and her family ! If it ends that way, so be it! |
What do I do?[/quote]First off, I am most unlikely to return from an outing by 2am when there are no unforseen incidences without putting my wife on notice. You got that wong man. In extreme instances of nagging, I could slap, if I am not allowed space even in the parlour. Done that once without apologies. Except you owe your livelihood to those in-laws, this is one very dangerous precedent to resolution of quarrels. Having apologized profusely and made efforts to placate them, I'd advise you absolutely ignore all of them for demeaning you. This meddling will never stop if you can't be the head in name and in deed! |
Chanchit:May God rest their souls. But, it has to be stated that debts aren't only incurred to procure elaborate weddings only. Depending on the ages/financial standing of the intending couple and the level of financial contributions they get from friends and family, they may even find themselves borrowing to get items listed as dowry sef! And this can be compounded by adding parties to it. |
Man City have got the memo: 2019/2020 EPL Title Race C'est Finis |
![]() Minemrys: Mehn, all join. Klopp has done incredibly well with this former mediocre Liverpool team. |
Klopp made this happen! |
YungJo207:Kalidou Koulibaly? If we bid and Napoli offers him, that should be answers to many prayers |
J111333:I have a favorite cousin whose works of kindness and benevolence actually surpasses yours. He got seriously burdened one day that he asked for my advice. I told him: Bros, I love you but do you think those fellas you are absolutely responsible for will die if you either become incapacitated or deliberately refrain from living your life for them? That was years ago. Now my fv bros os retired and not much of the people he did all manner of good deeds for have died following his seeming lack of capacity to play at that level he used to roll. When you choose to be largely responsible for a supposedly educated adult human, you kill his creativity. I would have stopped the moment they went ahead with birthing a fifth child they obviously had no means to take care of. Summarily, please stop being their breadwinner so they can think for themselves By then your favourite cousin could sign on to welfare support from the church that makes her take life less seriously while her husband could become level-headed to find a practical business that would make him play his role. Please note that these same people are not obligated to helping should tides turn against you. Then again, these people would ask what you did with all your money when you run into tough times, God forbid! |
E no get wetin Musa no go see for gate! One bloody heck of a gold-digging ashewo woman. |
I quite like tally with with his views most times. A great brain he was. Condolences to those left to mourn him. I quite value his contributions to discussions on the economy and would miss him. May the souls of the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace! |
solmusdesigns:Didn't quite follow those threads. But if true, would exactly blame him? I find it out of place to have Obj and Jonathan cram themselves into a seat if they are not guests to Dickson. Then again, this could just be a momentary change of position, as such no biggie. Or would have preferred Seriake kneeling the way that banker knelt while talking with Fayose or Standing the way Emefiele was when he was meeting with that guy that was lleged ro be a strongman of the Aso rock cabal? |
solmusdesigns:Not quite sure I read the part where it was stated whose sitting room that was. However, I had read somewhere where it was said Obj and Jonathan were his guests to prevail on him to rescind his decision to make his cousin the guber candidate against a hugely popular Alaibe. Guess, this 'pinchure' was from that occasion. Anyways, appears local mn ws feeling fly having two former presidents visit him to ask a favour. ...and you know how it is: pictures like this only start circulating when a previously living dog becomes dead lion! Now people are rationalizing how the PDP lost Bayelsa. You're welcome to Joi John's angle! |

No man has any excuse for hitting a woman.
