Afam4eva: Great adventure. I'd love to do something like this too.
It was really great, the videos don't even come close to showcasing it. There is a point where River Niger/Kaduna meets, you could clearly see the difference between the two Rivers, for some reasons unknown to me, they don't mix.

This was in July 2012, during my youth service in Patigi, kwara State. We were traveling from Patigi to Niger state through River Niger/kaduna. There is a ferry service that helps in crossing people within ten minutes to where they can get a bike or car to continue the journey, but I decided to go directly with canoe, it took 3 hours. Risky, I know but fun too!

tyson55: So what are you trying to say in essence ? That Islam should be forced on people?

You need to get head examined.
That's what born again muslims believe.

Lachynos2k2: my free 15 mb don finish....why did I click on this thread? damn
So you still allow these people to give you limits? smh. I watched champions league final live on my laptop last night using my MTN magic sim. I couldn't have done that even with a 10k subscription

Abagworo: I agree with you 100%. Its more like uncontrolled urbanization than actual development. There's so much wealth in the city but not much edifice that reflects it. Even the thousand and one oil companies have no high rise offices. They rather use containers and makeshift offices.
What do you mean? This is just a pic I took immediately I saw your post, there are many more. You people shouldn't just lie on your bed and make conclusions

justwise: @Chinom

My advice to you is to stick to this topic, if you want to fight/argue about who loves Nigeria more or how great life is for Nigerians back home then head to political section.

Please don't derail this thread.
What exactly is your criteria for hiding posts? I can see many off topic posts still unhidden. If you can't balance it, it's better you close the thread.

The same countries where people commit suicide everyday because of depression is where these guys are try to paint as heaven to us. Some of us know better. Since they hate Nigeria so much why they should look for an American or British forum to join and stop spouting rubbish here. They can't even integrate properly where they live.

A-ZeD:
If Nigeria is so "great" can you please tell us why the 1st lady goes to Germany for treatment?
There is something called 'specialists' even people in the UK sometimes go abroad for treatment.

Who says people in Nigeria don't sleep with both eyes closed? Some even sleep with their doors open, the wealthy ones inclusive. At least we can walk freely on the streets of Nigeria without the fear of being shot by a lunatic with licensed gun. Who knows which of them might just be a victim of the next public shooting/massacre.

Some of these diasporans make me laugh, they are neither here nor there, they don't identify with their country of origin yet they ain't accepted in the country where they live. Some of them have no social life there because they ain't accepted, so they spend all their time here on nairaland spouting drivel.

automaticcarzz: As a matter of fact, police got there within 5 minutes but had to wait for armed police officers to arrive. Police officers in UK normally don't carry arms.
what if the guys had decided to kill more people within that time?
