Religion / Re: Eating In The Dream – Pastor Chris Oyakhilome by colp2015: 2:08pm On Mar 02, 2018
The pastor is misleading millions of ignorant Christian youths with his perverted and uninformed interpretation of the Bible.

First, let me say this: the Lord Jesus is aware of destruction that satan and his demon slaves and human agents are capable of; hence the Lord promises that if believers should eat or drink any poisonous thing, they shall not be harmed. This truth underscores the fact that humans can be harmed by eating, either in the physical or via dreams.

There is no reference in the Bible where God fed anyone in his or her dream. The said pasor is not thorough in his exposition primarily because he does little of meditation, but relies on concordance.

What is Wrong With Eating in the Dream?

Before I state the effects of eating in dreams, I wish to draw the attention of believers to an interesting observation about satan..

In the book of Genesis, the Bible presents satan as a serpent, but in the book of Revelation satan is revealed as a dragon with seven heads and ten horns. A serpent is no match for a fire, even water, spitting dragon. The implication and the message therein is that satan is getting more vicious and sophisticated. Satan is becoming a dangerous being that humans cannot match in wits, tricks and operations.

The Lord Jesus knew this and thus remarked that there were yet many things to teach His followers...but when the Holy Spirit comes, He would guide us into all truth.

There are many aspects of spiritual life, especially wafare, that the Bible says nothing about.

For example, the Bible does not tell us the implication of having sex in a dream. We are not told about eating in dreams, or what it means to fight animals - reptiles, dogs, etc. There is no where the Bible mentions the effects of seeing and pickiing snails in a dream. All these activities are satanic operations against humans to achieve certain goals.

However, the Bible tells us that satan is getting more sophisticated every day. Years ago, no one knew how to combine the name of Jesus with satanic powers to heal sicknesses and diseases as evidenced by the practice of human agents in shamanism. But now, such practice is common place.

The Body of Christ as a whole owes the Holy Spirit much gratitude for arresting human agents of darkness who confess and reveal their practices against mankind. Without the confessions of these ex-occultists, many believers would still be stuck in their minds, pushing intellectualism.

So what are the ills of eating in dreams?

1. Human agents of darkness use the craft to afflict their victims with sickness.

2. Eating in dreams can be used to plant depression and discouragement to make their targets prayerless.

3. Sorcerers can drown their targets in the sea of near success syndrome. They usually do this when something good is coming to the person.

4. Eating in dreams can be used to initiate humans into withcraft. This class of witches is known as 'blind witch.'

5. Generally, eating in dreams is used to pollute believers and thus disqualify them for spiritual promotion. But this rarely works against the saints who are prayerful, because believers are not defiled by eating.

But careless and worldly believers are mostly affected by this craft. This plays out when the believer stops reading the Bible, stops relating with other believers, and inability to fast or stay true to his/her resolutions.

In conclusion, eating in dreams is bad. If the believer cannot reject food in his/her dreams, it is an indication of a weak and fireless spiritual life.

Medical science may have sanctioned masturbation for men as a means to fight or ward off prostate cancer - a lie from the pit of hell. The question: what is the equivalent of that benefit in women who masturbate?

Sin is a law (a force) acting on man.

Christians discover the reality of sin in their own lives, not from public opinion. It is when believers receive the Holy Spirit that they are able to discern right from wrong. Actions that are perfectly normal in the world may turn out to be abnormal to a believer in Christ whose goal is to conform to the likeness of Christ.

Regeneration of the sunken and comatose human spirit cannot be achieved by reading any book, Bible or any known and unknown Scripture. What we read is subject to the mind. The problem of the unregenerated human spirit is beyond the grasp of the intellect. This is the reason it's humanly impossible to arrive at salvation by READING, ANALYSIS or ARGUMENTS.

As a muslim, no Christian ever won an argument with me. Yet, when it was time for my salvation, God did it in such a way that my spirit was regenerated. A new awareness came upon me; my life took a 180 degree turn around. I could not explain it or how God did it. I just knew I was a hater of Jesus few minutes before the encounter; a sinner steeped in all manner of sins; but right after hearing the words flowing from an unassuming brother, something came alive in me.

My heart that was before then cold and recalcitrant was set ablaze with the love of God. The week following, I was filled with the Holy Spirit and started hearing the voice of God in my heart; knowing things well in advance. It has been a glorious experience ever since!

Man is a composite of spirit, soul and body. The human spirit is like fuel (evaporates at death); the soul is like a car engine (also departs and starts a journey at death), and the body. What we do by REASON takes place in our souls, in the mind; but the human spirit, which is the image of God in man is trapped and dormant deep within man. It's for this that human beings can never be satisfied with material acquisitions, academic achievements, etc. This condition creates a void in man that nothing external, abstract or concrete, seen or unseen, but ONLY GOD can fill up.

Bottom line: Man cannot arrive at the true knowledge of God by reading! There must be a definite encounter with the Spirit of life before man can know God.

The Lord Jesus Christ is the Way, the Truth, and the Life. No One comes to the Father but by Him.

I was born and raised a muslim for twenty two years before the Lord graciously delivered me from the grip of false religion in the early nineties. Muslims are sincerely deceived by satan. The entire belief system is based on sensuality and violence, but branded as religion of peace. There is nothing peaceful about Islam. I know because I was a violent and sensual man before my salvation experience.

Unfortunately, there's no degree of argument that can convert a muslim to the Christian faith without signs and wonders. I could not have believed or surrendered my life to the Lord Jesus in light of my indoctrination and seeming contradictions in the Bible. In fact, my salvation and continuous walk as a believer in Christ Jesus is nothing short of a miracle - Grace divine!

The LORD Jesus Christ is the Way, the Truth and the Life! Nobody comes to the Father but by the Lord Jesus Christ!

I decree that every unsaved person who reads this piece shall receive the seed of regeneration into his or her heart, in Jesus' name. Amen!

Bishop Oyedepo could silence his detractors by posting online the monthly cost of running the institution. If Nigerians have an idea of how much the school management pays the lecturers and other monthly expenses, I suppose there will be less attack on the person of Bishop David Oyedepo.

I took time to ponder the merits and demerits of running a tertiary institution and reached the conclusion that God is not the author of school business.

There's no way an individual can run an institution like Covenant University which was built with offerings and donations by members of the Church (according to public report), who in turn cannot afford the tuition and fees, without incurring harsh criticism.

How to love God?

1. Obedience to His commandments/will - John 14:21

2. Leading a sacrificial life. Love is demonstrated by sacrifice. God will give you opportunities to sacrifice your time and resources to His cause.

3. Love for fellowmen and particularly for the household of faith.

Where is the will of God in one's choice of marriage partner?

Do human beings come perfect in every facet of life and at any given point in time?

If God should reveal to a young male Christian who seeks His will in prayers, that a particular sister is God's will for his life, I wonder if the right thing to do is to start asking if the lady can pray for one hour or if she is a good cook!

If a young Christian woman or man is unable to pray for one hour at any stage of her/his relationship to God, does that spell eternal doom for such an individual? I thought believers could ask God for grace to help in any area of their lives? Hebrews 4:16.

Why do people base a lifetime decisions on factors that are so trivial as lack of cooking skills or inability to pray for one hour? If these factors are problematics to an enduring relationship, we need to ask ourselves: are they not subject to time? Can't the problems be fixed?

The most important thing in relationship, even life in general, is God's will for an individual!

Airtel customer services are straight forward. You can get their customer service reps if/when you call them, although they may not be able to solve your problem; also MTN 180/181 customer service lines are always through - they too may not fix your problem.

But GLO customer service line (500) is the worst ever! I've not been able to get any of their pseudo customer reps four months into my Data subscription. Their data balance check process is something else.

The feast was to endue the Israelites with divine strength ahead of their journey...

that is not correct because the feast of Unleavened bread was continued after the Hebrews left Egypt and even when they settled in their land.
No, it is correct! The Feast of Unleavened Bread was prepared and served for seven days before they ate the Passover hurriedly in preparation for mass exodus. The Israelites needed supernatural strength to endure the long trip out of Egypt into the wilderness. This fact was well known to the Jews, hence the yearly celebration. But the Lord Jesus reminded the Jewish people of His time that despite the spiritual connotation of all the feasts, which at the time had become mere festivals, their fathers still did not live forever (they died in the wilderness) - a symbol of weakness and life devoid of Christ.

In John 6:53, the Bible says: 'Then Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except ye eat the flesh of the Son of man, and drink his blood, ye have no life in you.' to point the Jews to the necessity of Eternal Life. However, in John 6:57, the Lord Jesus said ''As the living Father hath sent me, and I live by the Father: so he that eateth me, even he shall live by me.'' to stress divine enabling necessary for Christian living.

The Bible verses are clear as daylight.

The Early Century Believers abandoned all the numerous feasts and instead observe the Private Feast as well as The Lord's Supper.

In Exodus 34 and Leviticus 12 the Most High said we should keep these feasts forever..... not until Paul comes and say we shouldn't.

I would rather follow the Most High's law than whatever Paul wrote to the Romans.
There are many sick people roaming the world; and many more that the ruler of this world, Satan, has messed up their minds. So your take on Paul's Ministry is not new. The eminent Apostle did not instruct believers not to observe or celebrate the feasts. In his ministry to the Gentiles, he writes about the Lord's Supper in 1 Cor. 11.

Peace!
Religion / Re: Igbo People Are The Hebrews Of The Bible ... 100% Proof by colp2015: 2:38pm On Apr 19, 2016
I read some discussions here as to whether Christians should celebrate the Feast of Unleavened Bread...

In the Old Testament, God instituted seven different feasts for Israelites, to commemorate certain landmarks in their history. The Jewish people observed the ceremonies with vigor until the Lord Jesus technically upturned the numerous feasts. In John 6, the Jews were preparing for the Feast of Passover (John 6:4) when the Lord Jesus began to discuss a rather bizarre doctrine of ''eating His flesh'' and ''drinking His blood'' for Eternal life, Power, Freedom from Sin, and Purity.

Christians are not required to celebrate the Feast of Unleavened Bread for seven days as handed down to Israelites. Be that as it may, believers in Christ Jesus have a clear instruction from the Lord to eat His flesh and drink His blood in order to enjoy certain spiritual blessings, such as purity, freedom, and power. John 6:48-58.

The sacrament commonly called 'Holy Communion' has several dimensions, purposes, and preparations. The common denominator to all the purposes of 'Holy Communion' and ways of preparing it is the unleavened bread.

The unleavened bread means bread without yeast. To prepare and serve the Private Feast (the feast of Unleavened Bread) implies the partaker desires and seeks from God a life devoid of sin, weights, and leaven. The feast is different from the Lord's Supper which is served in remembrance of the Lord Jesus.

The above is the explanation behind the use of unleavened bread.

It is rather unfortunate that we human beings swing to the far right or to the far left in our views, especially on spiritual matters. We seem to understand laws, rules and regulations without investigating the reasons or principles underneath. One of the spiritual undertones of the Feast of Unleavened Bread in Exodus was to prepare the Israelites for a long journey ahead of them.

The feast was to endue the Israelites with divine strength ahead of their journey. Since the idea behind unleavened bread is divine enabling, the Lord Jesus hints believers in John 6:48-58 that it should not be a celebration, but a fellowship between individual believers and God.

There are many Christians who are bewildered by habits that have defied all manner of spiritual activities, such as fasting, Bible reading, positive confessions, and many others. The reason for many believers' defeat is simple: They lack clear understanding of Private Feast, which is necessary for divine enabling.

The feast of unleavened bread is not a formula that any soul can appropriate and get results. The spiritual exercise must be preceded by a rather simple process that disarms the flesh. This is necessary before God's grace for victory over the flesh is activated by Private Feast.

The spiritual life available through faith in Christ Jesus has certain requirements before believers can enjoy its reality. Unfortunately, many Christians live by common sense, instead of God's power. Any wonder, very few believers are able to keep besetting sins at bay.

Though the Bible instructs us to flee all appearances of evil and lust, it nonetheless tells us that a man that is dead, as it were, is free from sin. (Romans 6:7). Common sense is good, but it cannot lead believers into a life of power. It takes spiritual power to overcome the force of sin that is acting on man.

It's a futile exercise to discuss about an invisible entity with Man.
It's a futile exercise to discuss things that have not been proven to exist. There are invisible things who's existence of which we have clear, objective evidence for, and can thus discuss productively.
As stated earlier, the problem with you was the same problem with Adam. With all the seeming intelligence you demonstrate on this thread, you still fail to see all the evidences of EVIL, nay the presence of Satan, in the world. Your very essence is flawed just like Adam was a flawed creation.

The problem was never with God, but the limitations of man.
But... God created man. So God created those very limitations. In fact, the problem is precisely with God. Adam had no say in how he was made.
Adam had no say in his make-up, but he understood that when man is hungry, s/he eats food, not poison, to quench the hunger. Adam and Eve were intelligent enough to understand what it means to 'be wise like God;' thus their desire to be like God.

If a sculptor makes a flawed piece, do you blame the piece for being flawed, or the sculptor for being unskilled? The fact that God can even create something imperfect clearly contradicts the idea that he is perfect.
Adam was a sentient being - a being capable of independent action. He was not an inanimate object devoid of intellect, emotion and volition. In fact, Adam was endowed with sufficient wisdom, hence he put the blame of his disobedience on Eve.

Man was incapable of understanding Satan and his forces.
Again, God's fault. He could've easily given man the ability if he wanted to.
The ability to decipher and checkmate the forces of darkness was contained in the fruit of life. Adam and Eve were not barred from the tree of life until they disobeyed God.

God actually wanted man to dominate the forces of darkness on earth.
So why couldn't we? If God is truly all-powerful then he should get exactly what he wants. Nothing is superior to Him, correct? So why should anything, or anyone be able to interfere with his plans?
Actually there are people on earth dreaded by Satan. They are folks who maintain holiness and righteousness through Christ Jesus. God is powerful and He's getting His desires through believers in Christ Jesus.

have you ever wondered why God decided to save Man?
Save Man from what? The very problems he created by making them flawed in the first place?
...to save man from eternal perdition, separation of man from God. ''God is in Christ reconciling the world to Himself, not imputing their sins unto them...'' 2 Cor 5:19.

Adam and Eve, though, were no match for their enemy, they were capable of obeying a simple instruction.
Actually, no. This statement is self-contradictory.
No! It's not contradictory! You simply refuse to engage your faculties! God did not discuss with Adam and Eve about Satan - just as Christians are instructed not to expend their energy and time on the devil, but to abide in Christ - God simply gave Adam and Eve a simple instruction to guide them from becoming captives in the devil's net.

That they were no match for the enemy means that they in fact were not capable of obeying the instruction. Them obeying the instruction was a potentiality that would only be actualized IF they indeed WERE a match for Satan & capable of discerning his trickery.
The statement above is a mockery of your intellect. Adam and Eve wanted to be like God, hence their disobedience. Don't suspend your faculties, lady!

if you reject the creation story in the Bible, then you must be bold to say that the Christian faith is a hoax.
That is precisely my stance. Christianity is a hoax, along with the thousands of religions that came before and after it.

Humans created religions and the God(s) within them to explain things they did not understand (like weather, disease, and death), to maintain control over societies, to give hope and emotional comfort, the list goes on.

Before science, before medicine, before education, before space travel and exploration, before widespread availability of food and resources, humans needed some sort of guiding ideas for their societies, some semblence of protection, and some relief from the fear of dying (since death was far more frequent and common in the absense of medicine & reliable food production).

So every society created their own ideas of gods, and what supposedly pleases those gods (typically aligned with whatever the society valued at that time). The religions with the most powerful supporters conquered, and the ones less popular died out. Emperor Constantine of Rome is the reason Christianity still exists today. He spread it forcefully throughout that geographical region, and history ran it's course.

This proclivity of religion to to fill gaps in understanding and provide comfort in harsh societal climates is still clear today; we see that most under-developed countries who lack access to education, medicine, science and resources, also have the highest degree of religious belief. And the countries that are thriving, making steady scientific progress, living long and living peacefully, have very low rates of religiosity. Because they no longer need those comforting imaginative ideas.
I knew you would say that! I was on board the same boat with you until God rescued me. You will soon see the light, because people like you (as was I) will never leave the Christian faith and its adherents alone. Why do you bother to read the Bible since you believe it is a compendium of fairy tales put together to control the minds of the 'gullible'?

I read the link and the argument put forward there is very nonsensical.

Satan was too powerful, so God was unable to disclose his presence to Adam & Eve? Foolishness. How does Satan being powerful/invisible prevent God from putting a warning sign? If anything Satan's "ultra powerful-ness" and invisibility would be even MORE reason for God to DO SOMETHING to INFORM/PROTECT HIS CREATIONS rather than simply allow Satan to work is way into Adam & Eve's minds, especially when he knew they would be too mentally unfit (and lacking in knowledge) to be able to resist!
The way you are arguing against the blog post would have been the same way Adam and Eve would ask endless questions about Satan, his nature and modus operandi. It's a futile exercise to discuss about an invisible entity with Man. The problem was never with God, but the limitations of man. Man was incapable of understanding Satan and his forces. The Bible describes him as a Dragon with seven heads. The most practical way to alert Man of another entity in the Garden of Eden was to give Adam an instruction like God did. To people like you, God and Satan are nothing more than figments of man's imagination.

The reason for creating man predates the drama recorded in Genesis. God actually wanted man to dominate the forces of darkness on earth.

And, Satan's super-powerful complexity and deceptive abilities are even more reason why it makes NO SENSE AT ALL for Yahweh to have PUNISHED Adam & Eve for blundering, especially with such severity of punishment (cursing them and every generation of human beings?). THEY WERE NO MATCH FOR SATAN THE FIRST PLACE - they did not know of his existence AND they were not suited to overcome his deceptive abilities. That is like putting a mouse and a lion in a cage for a fight, sitting back and watching the lion tear the mouse to shreds, and then punishing and damning the mouse (and every member of the mouse's familly, and all future decendents) when he inevitably loses the fight. Nonsensical, unfair, and cruel.
The argument in your post is valid to some extent, but have you ever wondered why God decided to save Man? Man was disadvantaged from the beginning, but not without an instruction that gave him an edge over Satan.

In addition to the submission above, God actually wanted man to know that Satan was, and still is, in the world. Adam and Eve, though, were no match for their enemy, they were capable of obeying a simple instruction. They were given a choice to live by God's enabling power or live independent of him. They made their choice and consequently plunged their kind into a mess.

That blog is just more mental gymnastics that answers nothing, creates even more questions, and dodges the problem at hand. A convoluted non-answer that is extremely typical of apologetic arguments.
The question to you is: What's your take on God's salvation plan for man?

You cannot straddle the fence on this matter: if you reject the creation story in the Bible, then you must be bold to say that the Christian faith is a hoax.

What is so hard about saying, "by the way there is a serpent here that will try to convince you otherwise. he will mislead you so don't listen to him, just a heads up" This simple two sentences is too difficult for an all-powerful god to utter to his creations? Especially given the stakes? The mental gymnastics is strong.
Not quite!

Satan is a complex being. You can't pin him to any particular action or situation. If God had said to Adam and Eve ''Hey, look out for serpent, your enemy may use it to deceive you..'' Please read below for the situation in the Garden of Eden.

First, man knew nothing about Satan. The whole concept of Satan could not sink because Satan is invisible.

Second, Satan would use another method to carry out his enterprise. This is perhaps the most difficult aspect of Satan's nature. He can manifest in any form he chooses.

So, the problem was not about God, but the limitation of man's understanding.

Man simply did not know that Satan was in the garden/earth. The story is the same for every one who repudiates the existence of God and Satan.

To underscore my posit on this issue, I'd like to ask you a question:

Do you know that Satan is the ruler of this world?

God planted the tree of knowledge of good and evil to alert Adam that Satan was in the garden. God did not intend to test man's obedience through the tree, but to communicate to Adam and Eve that evil spirits were in the garden with them.

Adam knew nothing about the invisible enemy. God knew Satan was in the garden, but since Adam did not give name to Lucifer, coupled with the fact that Lucifer/Satan is invisible, there was a problem communicating the nature and mission of Satan to Adam and Eve. Hence, God planted the tree of knowledge and evil to induce the adversary to reveal himself.

Who else but Satan would kick against God's instruction? Adam and Eve would never have sinned deliberately without influence.

Religion is man's efforts at reaching God. Hence it is characterized by rigidity, fear, alms giving, and routine.

True Christianity, on the other hand, is relationship based. It is characterized by love, faith, God's leading, joy, confidence, and peace.

Is religion a thing of the mind?

Yes! Religion stems from the mind, but Christianity is by regeneration of the human spirit - Inward revelation of the Lord Jesus Christ, otherwise known as New Birth.

Religion and Christianity are like two parallel lines that can never meet.,

I think pornography is not ideal, to me I don't see the holy spirit encouraging that, but I could be wrong so please I need your sincere thought on dis...Pls not of a carnal mindset...but on the spiritual foresight with biblical backings if any thnx
posted it here because romance section have full traffic Dan religion let's air out view thnx
Pornography is bad. There's nothing educative about porn

Christians should avoid watching anything that adds no spiritual value to their lives.
