Christianity EtcRe: Pastor David Ibiyeomie Gifts Houses To His Pastors by COMPAQ(m): 6:16pm On Apr 17, 2022
Interesting that it's only the Lead Pastor or Go that is able to make these gifts to their junior pastors.

How come the pastors who preach prosperity and blessing and all are the only one blessing. How come the junior pastors do not have the "business acumen" of the Go's to be prosperous enough in themselves to afford these things.

It shows that the Go source of income is nothing other than tithe and offering which only he controls.

PoliticsRe: Whose Mandate Is Osinbajo Standing On? Tinubu Or Buhari? by COMPAQ(m): 12:30am On Apr 15, 2022
The article is written in the paradigm of the political status quo. The reason why Osibanjo has some support is that many Nigerians, particularly the educated, intellectual ones, feel that with him as president we may finally begin to shift away from the political status quo that continually feeds fat from this nation while the citizens suffer.

All the talk of loyalty and what not is rubbish. Simply the mindset of the typical nepotistic, bigoted Nigerian who will say Sir, Sir just for the opportunity of a morsel of bread. Why is a man of 65 not expected to have his own ambition? Must he remain stupidly loyal to a man just 5 years his senior.

This inability to challenge our bosses is part of why we are so useless as a nation. No one in the civil service has any balls to point out something wrong. Once Minister says go in this direction, everybody complies like Sheep.

Osibanjo is no Saint and no doubt he is stained by the incompetence of Buhari. But as far as I'm concerned, these constant and lengthy attacks on him clearly show the the political status quo is very worried. And that in itself is a good thing.
TravelRe: Lekki-Ajah Traffic: See What Residents Of Lekki-VGC-Ajah Go Through Daily (Photo by COMPAQ(m): 9:51pm On Apr 14, 2022
I hope the regional road will not have junctions like the existing Lekki EPE expressway. In truth, it's not even an expressway. There is nothing express about it. The regional road should have flyovers, while people turn beneath it to go left and right.

Go abroad and see what an expressway is. An expressway means to you can go long distances at fast speeds with zero interruption. Between VI and VGC there are about 8 junctions.

Even Lagos Ibadan expressway that JB have done up to Shagamu interchange is not an expressway. The amount of turn offs off that road is a major distraction to smooth driving.

What they should have done is created like a service road parralel to the main expressway and have proper exits at say 2km intervals that properly exit you to that service road. Or remove all the economic activity on the side of the road (admittedly this would be hard to do)

PoliticsRe: Is El-Rufai And Atiku Bagudu Sending A Cryptic Message By Endorsing Tinubu? by COMPAQ(m): 7:35pm On Apr 11, 2022
oikirodah:
2023: Is El Rufai And Atiku Bagudu Sending A Cryptic Message Across Endorsing Tinubu's Candidature? Check This Out

In the Military parade, there is what is called "Parade Moving From Slow To Quick March" what this literally means is that the parade is going to change from a slow march to a quick march. Commencing with the left foot, a pace of 60cm (24 inches) is taken and the parade changes immediately.

As we approach the party primaries for the general elections the slow march has finally given way to a quick march. Everyone is declaring and at the last count Vice President Osinbajo has signified interest in the nation's top job.

This week we are expected to see Ogbonnaya Onu declaring, also the rumour is rife that Chirs Ngige is going to declare as well even Timpre Silva is warming up to declare.

So everywhere is bubbling with activities, Nigerians now have multiple choices to choose from.

There is something playing out that has gotten me thinking loud, you know the Governors are very powerful and have a large say on who gets what in party affairs. Getting to study the body language of some of these governors who are normally reserved has made me realise that some of them are sending cryptic messages across about who their preferred aspirants may be.

Last week Tinubu was at Kaduna to commiserate with the people of the State over the unfortunate train incident that led to the loss of lives. During the visit by the Jagaban the host Governor, Nasir El Rufai gave up his official seat for Tinubu to sit down while addressing the press and others.

Although the ceremony was a solemn one, nevertheless a cryptic message was passed with that singular act. El Rufai who was amazed at Tinubu's show of sympathy may have keyed into the "Tinubu Fever".

The seal of the governor of the state was not covered which goes a long way to say Tinubu was well respected and venerated, it would have taken nothing for Asiwaju to seat beside Governor El Rufai.

Then today again something played out that tells me Tinubu may have secured the majority of the backing of APC State Governors.

Tinubu called a meeting with the APC governors and the meeting was held at Kebbi House in Abuja.

Hmm, do you know what this means? Kebbi State Governor hosted the meeting, in politics during the eleventh hour which we presently are, every move is a suspect, you can not come out and host a meeting in your lodge when your party has other aspirants and tell me you are not sympathetic to the cause of the person your are hosting.

Why dem no host Yahaya Bello or Rochas or even Amaechi for their governor's lodge?

Why was Osinbajo's visit hosted at his residence in Aso Rock? Why did Tinubu not host the Governors in his house?

The game is getting more exhilarating oh, my own na to talk am as I see am o.

Check out the controversial photo that makes me conclude El Rufai has finally pitched his tent with Team Tinubu.

My name na Osigwe Omo-Ikirodah and I am the Principal/Chairman of Bush Radio Academy.
Don't read too many meanings into simple gestures. El Rufai is fond of doing such like bowing and stooping to talk to elders. But what he will do is in his mind.

Portharcourt to Maiduguri huh huh
What's the economic importance of a Portharcourt to Maiduguri Rail line.
It can make PH port very viable and means of getting imports to Aba, and the SW and north easier, as well as produce from the north down south for export

But of course a lot of policies need to support it for it to make sense. Calabar port can also link to it by rail at Aba intersection. That makes Aba a center of trade and it will further enhance economic activity in PH, Aba and Calabar and take some shine of Lagos. Other parts of Nigeria also need to prosper, not only Lagos.

Considering the economy, it should be from $5000 which is roughly 2,8000 Million monthly. At least you should be able to take care of yourself, your family and enjoy other good things of life plus investment as well.

The truth is that as a single guy, I spend above 200K monthly on feeding and other personal expenses. 5k be like 1K in this present economy. embarassed

You shouldn't be converting a US salary to Nigeria. Cost of living in relative terms is cheaper here, so a good salary shouldn't be as much. Rent in Nigeria is cheaper (except in highbrow parts of Lagos), so also food if you shop in open market. We also don't pay as much taxes in Nigeria as they do abroad.

So for me I'd say N1mln a month is a good salary in Nigeria.

This is possibly the pulling of the rug from under Tinubu's feet. And I for one will be glad for it. Tinubu's health condition is not top notch and we do not need a man that is not 110% on that job. Not after what Buhari took us through with constant trips to London, particularly the first two where he spent along time abroad.

Also, the way Tinubu has annexed Lagos for his family members is not a good sign. It almost seems like Lagos is a monarchy!!

Tinubu is expected to be better than Buhari, but that bar is so low that 95% of the Nigerian population will be better than Buhari as a President!

What has roundabouts and traffic lights got to do with toll or no toll?
Are you sure you've ever been to NJ or NY before?
Do you know that just to drive to London westend, you have to pay?
There are tolls in many many metropolise around the world.
The point he's trying to make is that tolls are on highways where there is no obstruction to your driving pretty far distance to get you to your destination quickly. Common from VI to Chevron, you stop at 8 traffic lights and junctions that are poorly designed and don't flow traffic properly.

And like others have said, you can what you have in central London are congestion charges. You don't queue up at any toll both anywhere.

In London you don't e en need a car. Those who pay charges in central London are all the big boy bankers and executives of top companies.

Really?
Coming from a so called Jersyboy.
How many tolls exist in Jersey and NY area alone?
There are so many tolls in the NE and FL that you have to think about tolls before venturing out.
Do they cause the kind of mad traffic we see on the Lekki Ikoyi bridge? And on the Lekki EPE expressway? How can Lekki EPE expressway have one single road in and out for the volume of cars we have in Lekki. No train? No standard bus service. I drive in houston and there is no tollway anywhere in the Houston area that requires you to slow to a crawl to pay tolls. I drive at 70mph under a toll reader and it takes my toll. And I'm sure the ones at NE/NL are either like that or nowhere near the kind of traffic as at Lekki.

This one that bandits can see coming a mile away won't work.

If I were the IGP I'd set up a squad of 100 Swat undercover cops in teams of 10 each, and dressed in mufti and driving unmarked buses, lorrys, etc to patrol the expressway, driving in each direction at different times of the day, and with communications gadgets to call for back up via helicopter if needed. Or backed up by drones that can stay in the air for 24hrs at a time. These will be top cops with jungle survival skills. Cops that aim and don't miss. Cops that will not just chase bandits away if they come across them on the road, but actively pursue till caught and killed.

I'd further motivate them with N1m per kill.
