Now to the General public that are so quick to judge the government hospitals when issues like this come up....I will say...keep quiet and go sit down Joor. We choose to be blind and deaf tonthe yearning demands of the public health sector forgetting that we live in the same community and if not us a relatuve might need the system urgently someday. Lagos state population is in millions yet it can only boost of 26 gen hosthospitals and 1 teaching Hosp. these hospitals are greatly overwhelmed some attend to more th a one thousand patients a day with just few doctors and nurses working. Are they robots? Them no get family? They must eat now.. they do what they can do and stretch their consciences to the limits before leaving the rest to fate. Are we aware that the whole lagos state can't boost of more than 15 to 20 functioning intensive care units (private and public) to serve the millions? Are we aware personnel are short in supply? are we aware that some General hospitals in lagos here have 1 or 2 delivery beds for pregnant women yet they take 10 to 15 deliveries per day...ask yourself how these personnel cope with instruments and all. with 2 patients sharing a bed in labor wards...
please all when next health polices are being made think twice before you look away and better get involved. Shout out when strikes are on and get involved. Ask for a better health sector/system rather than waiting for the next person to die and then laying the same blames over and over again...if not, in 5 -10 years time, it will be the same blames we make and I pray it won't be our loved one involved then.
bros, I don't even know wat to type sef, bt d general public needs to be really enlightened, wen I was a corper in a health centre here in Lagos, I was d ONLY doctor on duty, I mean only doctor with several patients, so many patients, dir was a day I almost collapsed wen consulting because I was extremely tired, ( and you need to know d money dem dey pay..very ridiculous amount dt wasnt paid regularly o, dey pay march salary in june or july) do u expect me to work 24 hrs in dt hospital...hell no, wen I no be machine, even machine sef dey wear and tear, u can be so sure if a similar case occurs and d man decides to take me to court, I go win d case wella, u need to get to teaching Hosp to see ao docs and nurses work d hell out, a senior resident doctor once lost her pregnancy due to d excessive work , I know of nurses and doctors dt av collapsed and had to be rushed to emergency and ICU when on duty, can u imagine ....d general public will den come out to cry , some will say na humanitarian service.....instead of crying foul, dey shd face d government nao, y facing d doctors and nurses... Make I just rest my case, d best is to jah out of ds country for greener pastures.....

I don't think I like this op at all. I'm trying to give him benefit of doubt here but...
Really, why did he waste vital time? From his own story, labour began at 5am and he was at the health centre by 5am. Hmmm. Also he says he was at ikotun general hospital by 6am. First is it possible for labour to happen under 1 hour? Plus all the other drama that took place? This woman should have been in a hospital when she started having labour pains. Not when she began bleeding.
And why take wife and baby to a hospital where there is no doctor? Are there no other hospitals around? Or he just wanted to avoid spending money at the cost of his wife and child? If truly everything happened in hour including the 25 mins the husband spent demanding for a note, then the hospital responded quickly. I would like to hear their side of the story including why a govt hospital does not have a dr available.
Government provides hospital services to care for all citizens. But some people prefer not to pay for those services. These kind make it difficult for those who are in genuine need to get help readily. I wish the wife eternal peace.
bro, u spoke my mind actually, I got pissed off wen d man said water broke around 5 am, den he started packing d cloths and all stuffs, and den he got to hospital around 5 am, haba..na jet u carry, d woman must av been labouring for a while....moreover I hope pp know d meaning primary heath centre..dts where u get d least form of medical treatment, d nurses told u to go to a secondary health centre and u were there arguing wit dem and waiting for letter instead of running wit full speed to d hospital,

[b]I have tried to stay out of this argument but Napoleon55 is not wrong. It depends on who is in charge and how he views things. These guys are minors, it is hard for a coach growing up in our culture to allow minors go around with crazy hairstyles.

I remember when one of the sons of a former Nigerian Super Eagles coach carried this crazy hairstyle. He was about sixteen then but he gained a little popularity Nationally then.

When his father saw this boy return from Abuja with this hairstyle, the Coach went Ballistic. He said, "It seems the boy is tired of playing football."

His elder sister said, "There is no difference between this boy and a Motor park tout." His father and elder sister ordered him to skin his hair before he enters their family house. You need to see the laugh me and our neighbors had that day. The guy is a professional Footballer now in one of these Asian countries.

It is the same thing like Yaya and Bony asking Iheanacho to cut out his flamboyant celebrations. The Senior African Citizens felt it is not time for a young player trying to make a name for himself to celebrate like he is amazing.

I think young players should emulate Cristiano Ronaldo who has high level of discipline in his training and physical appearance. No tattoos, no crazy hairstyles and he reduces his party life. These can coke after the career.

Note, it is a case of choice. Not a case of right or wrong.

thumbs up bro

Are you aware that the match will be played in Santiago ( estadio nationale) which I reckon means the national stadium. Santiago is 4 hours behind Nigeria, the match is scheduled at 17.00 or 5pm and this is 21.00 or 9.00pm Nigerian time.

Check that well so you don't deceive people.

Sports / Re: We Won’t Beg Enyeama To Stay – NFF by confun: 12:56pm On Oct 09, 2015
prinsam30:
here is olishe version of the story:-

Nigeria coach Sunday Oliseh has said
Vincent Enyeama’s retirement from the national team is very sad, as he finally opened up on the incidents that have shaken the Super Eagles since Tuesday.

Enyeama, the country’s most capped player, announced his retirement via Instagram on Thursday after alleging insults to his mother as well as being thrown out of the national camp by hotel security in Verviers, Belgium.

However, coach Oliseh has debunked the claims, stating that he was surprised by the goalkeeper’s allegations on social media, something that has turned many fans against him as the team lost 2-0 to Congo DR in a friendly on Thursday night.

In an interview on Brila FM, Oliseh stated that the goalkeeper had insisted on airing his views during dinner after Tuesday’s training, despite the coach’s instruction to stand down and allow his observations be discussed at another time.

The goalkeeper was unhappy with the fact that he was overlooked as captain of the side in favour of Ahmed Musa during a routine meet and greet with the Nigerian ambassador to Belgium after their work out.

The coach said he told Enyeama to either remain quiet or excuse himself from dinner to enable him address the other players.

Oliseh stated that a few of the senior players attempted to calm the goalkeeper before leading him away from the room.

He said he didn’t call security to take him out and was surprised to find out that Enyeama claimed on Instagram that he was thrown out by security and that his mother had been insulted.

“How can I insult your mother? Never did the issue of Vincent Enyeama’s mother come up, ” said Oliseh, while stating that Musa and John Obi Mikel came to his room to apologize on behalf of the goalkeeper and he had forgiven the Lille player.

The coach said that Nigeria Football Federation president Amaju Pinnick mediated in the crisis and asked Enyeama to apologise to the coach but he didn’t.

Enyeama decided to leave camp on Thursday following the invitation of young goalkeeper Dele Alampasu as back up for the two goalkeepers in case of any injuries.

Oliseh said there was joke about preparing goalkeeper coach Alloy Agu as back up in case the need arose.

"He said because I invited Alampasu, he’s going,” Oliseh said.

Enyeama then announced his retirement from the team after 13 years in a very emotional post on Instagram, stating that “it’s been the most trying period of my life”.

“It’s very sad,” Oliseh said about the goalkeeper’s retirement while hoping that the team gets back on its feet soon enough for Sunday’s friendly against Cameroon.

Despite the 2-0 defeat to Congo, Oliseh took positives from the performances of Mikel and debutant Alex Iwobi, while stating that the reason for the friendly matches is so that the team can have better understanding ahead of the upcoming World Cup qualifiers.
just imagine.....

enyeama afantastic footballer no doubt abt that
Bt am in support of N F. F on dis.
Firstly we should be able to respect our own
( Coach olishe) takes evry blame for the poor performances of team even wen d players are at fault. Eg morinho
.
enyeama woulndt have tried what he did with his club or any European coach.
Or even with any of ex international who has coached eagles in d past. Saisia keshi & d rest.
U can proof me wrong.
A captain leads by example u don't talk back to ur coach . He said no need for question sit down let discuss our game plan bt he insisted in asking & dat was d end.

olishe hastily decision abt d captain might be a mistake on his part but if he has kept quiet and enyeama has his way dat would have been a disaster.
Other players wil try such d coach and impunity in d dressing room is not allowed.
I hope he changes his mind and come to playing for d national team.
My opinion anyway..
this is the best response av read so far, as much as I love enyeama, I dislike his present actions, though d coach was also wrong, bt abeg he is d coach, let him finish wat he wants to say ,den u can raise ur points, not for u to start dragging words wit ur coach in d presence of the other players for that matter, nonsense and ingredients..... And den for him to start showing some emotional stuffs on social media so dt Nigerians can pity him and hate d coach isnt manly enough..haba...for him to start ranting on social media dt he had served d nation faithfully, in rain and in sun...bla bla bla...na God use u bro..(..my principle in life is ds, if am fortunate to help u or make u happy in any way, abeg na God use me o, I don't need any appreciation from u, if I no make myself available, walahi, God go use anoda person), bt again all ds enyeama's action could be due to d pain of his mums death because I used to know him as a humble person on d pitch....whatever sha, 2 wrongs can't make a right, enyeama, God be wit u, its actually not easy, especially if na mama die...not easy at all.

Hello friends, I don't really know where to post this but I feel family section is okay.
We just rented a new apartment and we met a bill of 118000 naira, the former occupant left without paying, infact we heard he was so broke that couldn't pay the rent for 2 years and was chased out, now PHCN came to disconnect the wires, we haven't moved in, still renovating the house. The landlord is late, the child in charge is out of the country and seems he isn't interested in doing anything about the bill, some people advised us to remove his meter ( since the former occupant bought the meter in his own name) and then pay for a prepaid meter, some others said we should discuss with the marketer to wipe out the bill so that we will only pay a small amount compared to the 118k...please I need advise from experienced people. Thanks
