Guys please I really need an answer to this question. I just saw a corolla drop someone off in my estate. From all indications, the car looks like an e-hailing car. Unfortunately, I couldn't get to him on time to actually ask him myself. So my question is this, Are some Uber/Bolt drivers still on the road during this lock down? [/quote

Just make a request from your rider’s app in order to hear from the horse’s mouth
BusinessRe: If You Are Uber Partner In Lagos, Please Share Your Experience Here by confusedworld17: 7:12pm On Apr 06, 2020
since the lock down, is there any driver here who has not even for once checked his driver's app just out of curiosity ? Raise your hand up.

I understand, like what he said, something that will fetch him daily income, having a million naira stuck in your savings acct for 3 months is a waste of fund, imagine you've used it to purchase Tbills within those months, maybe it would have return with extra 35k on it compare to 1500 gtb would have add to it... Having a save insurance/assurance for kids is one tin I hope and pray for any parents, nothing gives peace of mind regarding giving those little Glories a secure future... I'll encourage newly married couples to run such acct for like a year before giving birth to Felicity, but life can b funny, if u know what I mean.

On the side of real hustle and business, we honestly can't depend on what our financial institution have to offer. If you truly have money and want to invest, go find a land beside school and build hostel, like 15 rooms on a block, have like 6 blocks and go relax, just wake up in the morning tie wrapper and b reading newspaper from ur balcony, with a chilled bottle of woteva
Abeg make peace reign.

please don't be offended, thought you said the accident was entirely his fault and that he was beating up for causing the accident?
How come he was giving 15k again?
Besides you never mentioned it before, by the way by now with your experience (you always impress us with) I expect you to know this is part of the uber business package and that's why it was suggested you run insurance but you claim they are scam.
Or you expect someone you accusing of not paying promptly to fix the car or bring the 60k you spent fixing the car?
Walai I keep getting confused here. I hit person car, then they ask me to fix one part of the person's car and the person will fix one part of my car.

Any one here ever taken a rider to Alh. Abass st. Ogudu. or picked up from that street ? You will go in through Ramat.

That street long ehn... residence there park there cars on both side of the street. If you dey use camry like me, you go need to go to the end of the street to make a u turn.

The funny thing about that street is that the two times that I have been to that street and needed to make a u turn at the end of the street, one funny and wired looking man always comes out to watch you while you turn and will warn you not to hit the iron sign of "NO PARKING" in front of the house there.

The last time I was there, I removed the iron in order for me to get space to turn very well. The man jump out immediately and was watching me, as I was about to go, the baba just block me say make I come down go put that iron back to the position wey I carry am from.

@IZZOU. One of nigger dey town since last week and he need where to get neat olosho. Any hint please ?

Please guys lets take it easy on @felicity. We learn everyday.
We take some decisions in a matter of seconds out of annoyance. Like me now, due to the fact that I'm in the comfort of my home, I can reason it well and I have decided that if I found my self in that position, I will just ask one of them to sit in the front or I will drop them off at the nearest bus stop.

Some riders can even penetrate under your elephant skin. Na so one enter my car the other day, the first thing wey come out from him mouth nah, "Hope this your car charger is fast because my battery is very low" I bin wan parra, but I just hold myself and did not even answer him.

Savings ke ? I don talk am here before say we are living from hand to mouth but some drivers go dey claim say dem dey make am.

xrayj:
I am really surprised to visit this thread and still see people driving. It only bespeaks one thing, humans can be very careless. Bolt & uber making the bulk of the money don shut down their offices & u guys are out there risking your lives for how muchhuh If u have no savings to take a break for at least a week or two, it means u have been wasting your time! I was not expecting any driver to work this week. Make una use una brain. Italy is in this mess because of carelessness!

Save your self that energy and quit trying to please shitty riders, because YOU CAN NEVER NEVER PLEASE THEM, NEVER!
See ehn... lie down on the floor and have them use you as their foot mat or stool, shitty riders will still complain that you did not lie down well.

As long as I do my bit, I don't go out of my way to please any shitty rider. Because at the end of the day, whether you like it or not, you go still "CHOP" that one star.
So why not save your self that stress, cancel the request and move on once you see those red flags from the beginning.

Me, I don't even argue or exchange words with them any more. Once I see those signs, no matter how juicy (LONG TRIPS) the trip might look, I will just respect my self and jejely cancel the trip and wait for another request.

Now, before you start preaching to me that your nauseating sermon of "DESTINY HELPERS". Let me first of all tell you that Destiny helpers are not Shitty, Rude, Condescending and all those bullshit.

Na so I wan go pick up one man one early mor mor. The man with commanding tone say make I drive enter his compound, number one red flag. I politely told him that I don't drive into people's compound. He grudgingly walked out from his compound and dash me one kind condescending look. That's number two red flag.

Then the third red flag wey make me cancel the request and move on be say ... Instead of the man to enter car, he first of all begin dey go round my car dey check my tires. Ah! Ah!!
Now imagine if I had gone on that trip with that man, there's 99% chance that I would regret that trip.

So many other bad encounters but let me stop here for now.

You don't have any dilemma. Just hold onto the cash that you want to transfer to bolt, be using it to sort your self out until equation balance.
Uber/Bolt are now strongly encouraging card trips in order to reduce the spread of corona virus, so expect more card trips. A win win for all.

temb:
I've been in a delima since on sunday, I've been blocked from receiving cash trips on bolt, please how do I clear off my negative balance. Should I make a transfer and has anyone here cleared theirs...please show me the way

I have relations over there. Those guys work their ass off to pay their bills, take care of themselves and save

Now, I'm not talking about a good degree and getting a job. I'm talking about doing menial jobs as we have here. I'm talking about running little businesses as we have here

A fair percentage of struggling Nigerians can manage to build their little homes here. How many of our brothers in the abroad can do such?

Those guys don't rest oh.

Let's not argue it sha. We will just occupy unnecessary pages

With all due respect ma'am, your kind of hustle is what we call "soft hustle" in this side of town. To me, yours is like someone who embarked on a new adventure.

Your papa send you go "obodo oyibo" go study. Not just any how country but America for that matter.

Shey you go compare am with a "Wasiu" whose father can only manage to send him to Aduro oni gban gban secondary school ?. After secondary school, Wasiu go enter street find him square root.
