You can take this information to the bank.
Avoid St.Finbar's College road Yaba. That road na death trap.
Avoid Agege at night, except you know the area very well. I was robbed along that Old ipaja road last night at about 9pm. It was a destination trip. When the request came in and I saw Ipaja road, I was very happy and said to myself, it couldn't have been better than that, on a 1.9 surge. Though it turned out to be old Ipaja road and not ipaja road.
After droping rider at one hotel along that same road, I moved a little bit forward from the hotel in order not to block the entrance and then pulled over to take a leak. It would surprise you to know that the place where I parked was well lit because as a night crawler that I am, I always avoid making a schoolboy error.
While I was easing myself, I noticed some funny movements around me, it was some dodgy looking guys smoking what obviously was hard drugs. I was kind of backing my car, saw two guys sitting on my bonnet, by the time I turned properly to face my car, they were like three boys by the side of the driver's side facing my direction and then like four boys by the passenger's side.
Omo mehn!!! I knew immediately that hell was about to let loose. So I quickly put my phone inside my trouser so that it will not damage when it gets to the ground. You know when it's falling down from inside my trouser, it will not hit hard on the ground. So when I felt it getting to the ground, I quickly positioned my leg and push the phone under my car.
Immediately, one of the boys rushed me and held my hand and said "weting u want bring out ?" I said nothing that as you can see I just finished urinating and I'm tightening my belt. He then held my trouser just like the way a police man would 'jack' you by the trouser during street arrest. Na so these small boys drag me enter inside my car and started searching all the places that they thought I would have my valuables. Some of them were standing outside and leaning on my car as though they were the ones that parked the car.
Thank God that most of my trips yesterday was transfers. Only two riders payed cash. They took 4k and some change and then requested for my phone, I gave them the small nokia phone that I have. They said where is the big phone, I told them that the phone was with a phone repairer. Looks like they were satisfied that at least they got some money for drugs, they quickly left and even gave me back my small nokia phone.
Na speed I take come down go carry my phone and zoomed off. The oldest among those boys would not be older than 25 years. Those boys are ready to die any minute. Before they left, they quickly hid all their cutlasses, hammer, sharp iron rods. You could smell blood in their eyes. Everything happened less than two minutes.
Another funny and scary thing about the robbery was that the locals that were passing by that sensed robbery, hurriedly passed us and look the other way. Meaning that it was not an unusual thing to them.
One take away from this my horrible experience is : Always have some cash with you, e get why. STAY WOKE GUYS |

Pearl1910: Mess up?! The only thing u have the right to do is agree or disagree to my statement. Nothing more. You are an educated youth supporting and campaigning for Tinubu but I didn't say u really mess up. Let's be guided.
I still maintain that all of Tinubus supporters would vote for an Osinbajo, if Tinubu wasnt contesting and gave him his blessings but not all Osinbajo supporters will vote for a Tinubu candidacy, now that Tinubu is carrying the ticket. If u want to have objective, critical and constructive discussions on this topic I am open for it, but if u want to be emotional, sentimental, call names and throw insults. I am not home. And you say u be barrack boy... I would have expected a barrack boy to fight dirty, but your submission here is simply of a matured mind. ReadaDream: Some women actually know how to take care of their care even without their husbands input. There's this flat directly opposite my own, I stay upstairs so I am able to see her compound from my bedroom.
Every weekend, this woman will wash the car herself (they have two). So anyone she's going out with she will wash it. She doesn't engage the security.
When she goes to pick her children from school and the kids alight from the car, she will clean all the carpets and rug before she join the children in the house.
I wouldn't say it's because she works from home that's why she has that time because caring for 3 kids is enough work already.
I have also seen her a couple of times check the fluids before starting the car in the morning. Hmmm.... seeing from upstairs. Make u no go see wetin king David saw from roof top Ooo! |

pope191: Bros as I speak for no one else but me alone. I have said it time without number that a week from 80 to 100k is a good week for me and for the past 4 months I don't think I have relapse on that. But let's put things under assumption here, so we don't pearlifing.
100k on indriver 10% leave us with balance of 90k Gas 3k per day(18k weekly) leave us with 72k Remove 50k, we have 22k to play around with for the week
As fate we have it for the past 4 months, car has not come up with any major challenge. And check history you will never see me argue oil with anyone, I use groundnut oil and my engine is 120k. If the engine can service me for 2 years, it is ok for me. My gears is 100k, a year and some months is ok for me. I am at home today, already done 30 something this week. Tomorrow and Friday will do another 30 something. Won't be out on Sat till 12 noon or 3pm self as the spirit lead, but I'll balance both Saturday and Sunday with 30 something as well. Hope this is clear enough. Not adding offlines that may come as they are not constant. Drop mic Ehmm... Roughly how many hours a day, or until you meet your target? |

pope191: With regard to what Ghost1994...
Presently we are sitting on gun powder and amost times I ask myself how do people survive. Bread used to be 250 naira, today it is 500 naira, but asking ehailing to increase their money won't do any driver good. Maybe a little twisting would be better.
On ehailing you can make at least 100k weekly, that's 400k in a month. Give and take repairs, commission based on indriver, gas takes 160k and the rest 240k goes to driver as owner driver. The question now is are you OK with 240k as income monthly? How many salary earner take 240k home as of the country we are today? Put in mind they have transportation and clothing to deal with since drivers are known to dress anyhow. Some top level boss takes BTW 500k to 1million, but let's just bring it down to survival level. This month alone I have given out 300k as loan to ndi career people, meaning no where is actually easy. To survive in these country, one needs to activate all his antennas, just keep using madness to port it.
Here is the theory of life in a nutshell: - The Parkinson's Law says that your expenditures rise to meet your income. When you earn more money, your needs become more and you may end up spending more money. So, in order to make wealth, you need to break the Parkinson's law by setting limits.
Have you ever save money to buy bicycle? And you realise the more you save, the increase in price?and the money never get to complete. That's the problem with Corolla of today. I call it the moving money box and the problem starts from new driver that are yet to understand the reality of ehailing, even one of us push for Innoson to partner with them the other day. Investing 3m to buy a car for ehailing may take 2 years or more to get the money back before talking of profit. And most time the profit is selling the car off, waste of time and energy at the end of everything. The car I am using today was bought for 800k and that is what I have been using, I have over used it that the tot of getting another one is already building in my head, in-between exit kept ringing as well. I said to myself, spend 200k bake and fix seems better then using 1.5m to go buy another one. Not all rider cares about your car, it is not as if I have bad rating at such. 4.8 even since means it is good to go.
Take a look at someone in abroad making honest living, sometimes it takes them 10 or more years to raise 20 million. Do you think if you do ehailing for 10years, you can't save between 10 to 15 million? Question for the mind tho Can you please tell my friend who wants to join the biz, roughly how many hours a day and how many days a week he has to put in on the average to make 240k a month as income ? He wants to know if nah wetin he fit do or not. |

Kai! Lagos get some kind funny names wey dey sound like Yoruba movie title.
Otasunmi street, this one dey for ejigbo. Kosegbe street, this one dey for Ipaja. Esugbayi street, this one dey for Ikeja GRA.
Anyone notice say most of these slay queens that stay in face me I slap you, would put a fine house number as their pick up. You go dey wait for the house expecting the rider to come out from the house, only for someone to show up from behind knocking on your window signalling you that they are the one. Or when you want to drop them, them go say make you stop at one of the fine buildings on that street, only for you to notice while trying to reverse or when you look at you rear or side mirror, you go see say na another building them go hurriedly enter. |

Went to eat at that calabar kitchen on Emmanuel street Ogudu... Came out to see that a Police car had parked behind my car, there by preventing me from driving out and I don get request.
So I walked up to the two police men that was inside the car to let them know that I was leaving. The two of them started going up and down. Emmm.. the car key is with their oga... he is eating. I told them to Please collect the car key and move the car so that I can leave.
One of them now summoned courage and said, no vex abeg, two of us wey u see here no sabi drive. I almost burst laugh but I maintain. Las las them go collect the car key, na me come help them move the car.
I was dumbfounded say a whole police officer cannot move a car just from one block to the next block. What if in a case of emergency where by the one driving was hit by a bullet and they are in hot pursuit of a criminal ? Na him be say na to call control room to send somebody wey sabi drive. |

Guys, when ever you want to pick up any rider with loads, make sure you ask them to bring out all the loads first for you to know if it!s something you can carry or to know how much to bill the person on off line. Also ask how many people dey go. Got to pick up, rider was already waiting outside with two bags. After putting the bags in the trunk, oga say make I wait say some still dey inside house. Me: wait a minute... you still have some inside house? And, are these two going too? Rider: Yes. Me: Sorry, I no go again. |

northbird: VERY true Baba. Bolt is weeding them out. Broke ass riders who can't pay for their rides n start hiding under stupid transfer shyt.
Two weeks ago, Tuesday I think. I carried one like that. She did transfer, I didn't see alert, I reasoned since it's Ikeja GRA I dropped her, probably 8-5 person coming from work, I will get my alert. 24 hours later, I haven't seen alert I called her on the app, the line she gave wasn't going thru.
48 hrs later, Thursday I haven't seen alert. I couldn't reach her again through the app.
On Friday, I shot Bolt a mail, excerpts from the mail "you shouldn't allow riders abscond with their fares, it punctures the credibility of the system".
30 minutes later, Bolt responded she has been blocked n I should get back to them in 7 days if she doesn't pay.
Do you know she sent me a msg with a new line.... Yada.. Yada.. I reported her n all that balder dash. I'm like oh.... You knew the transaction didn't fly, but you kept mute.
So you can even reach out to me since Tuesday. what's wrong with this one... Should I be the one chasing you to pay for a service I rendered.?
Is it a Nigerian thing or what, you used a service, you then expect me to start chasing you for a service you are supposed to pay for immediately, I don't get. , some will even say text me your details, I'm like are you OK?
It's not by force to use Bolt /Uber. Something similar happened to me too that day that Super Eagles played Cape verde. Picked this girl from MM1 to surulere on 1.8 surge. I knew there would be heavy traffic but still shook head since na surge. Got to destination and she did her fake transfer. After waiting for like 5 minutes, no alert. She said 'Oga what do we do' ? I said let's still wait because me too I have closed for the day that my house is not far from here. Na lie oo... Me we dey live for Ayobo side. After like another 2 minutes, no alert. I said okay no problem you can go, I can come by tomorrow morning on my way out if I still didn't get the transfer. The next day still no alert.I called her and she picked and said that she had been debited since yesterday and no reversal yet. I said ok no prolem let's still wait. You can't belive that this matter dragged for like three days and she was always picking my calls. Luckily for me, I was in Surulere and decided to pay her a visit. I called her and told her that I'm in front of her house that she should just come and pay me my money that I'm tired of waiting. She now said that she will tell someone to send the money to me that she doesn't want to use her own account again so that it will not go and do like the first one, but that I should please send the money back if I later get her own alert. After just two minutes, I got alert from one guy. Imagine! So this smallie dey whine me all along. |
