Wahala no dey finish my brother. I always tell people, the 20 - 30 seconds you'll wait for WAHALA to pass would pay off in the long run. I don't drag road with other drivers anymore. You sabi speed pass me? I agree. The TIME and MONEY you'll spend fixing an avoidable crash or bash is not worth it.

JUST 30SECONDS
Just let those Danfo, Korepe and Keke carry their wahala go... Most times self, it doesn't take more than 5 seconds of patience.

We also have to understand the way those guys reason. They want to meet their daily target, thereby trying to overtake any how in order to get to the next bus stop to pick up any available passengers before the danfo behind or ahead of them.

They also want to make up the money wey agbero dey collect from them at almost every bust stop.

Not justifying their actions, but the frustration and the stress dey too much for their head.
Best way na try to avoid hem.

Bros see in this life just be praying for connection and to at the right place at the right time, before I used to think like you that everybody is broke.

Some people have this money and are ready to spend it, I will share another experience I know you won't still believe it.

A friend, we stay in the same place was traveling to his town.
I had to join because I knew it was going to fun, we go out together a lot almost every evening to wind down.
As usual he threw the keys to me so I had to drive, there's this his friend a developer that traveled with us too. He parked his car in my neighbor's compound and we drove my neighbor's small car, the other paid for our accommodation and all the food we are throughout the three days we stayed in the east.
Mind you he have a mansion ooo but he wanted us to have fun, on our way back this man bought all manner of things plantain, garri, yam and what have you.
I am still struggling to finish my own share of the things we bought I had to give out the plantains so they won't spoil, the garri and the yam is still here.
My neighbor gave asked for my account number and transferred 25k, he said he enjoyed the trip that we are going again next month that's this December I just said okay but I know I won't join them again. Lol.
I didn't expect him to pay but he did, my own was to use the opportunity to do small travel.
Forget things dey happen
Can I go on your behalf ?

There are rules of engagement on Nairaland. # two and three of the rules says :
2. Don't abuse, bully, deliberately insult/provoke, fight, or wish harm to Nairaland members OR THEIR TRIBES.
3. Don't threaten, support or DEFEND violent acts against any person, tribe, race, animals, or group (e.g. rape).

This is not a subject of debate but a clearly stated rules. Felicity and few others here have violated those rules not just once but repeatedly.

The only proof they claim to have is that majority of people are saying it and their personal encounter with very small number out of over 40 million Igbo Population. Felicity has not even encountered as little as one percent of the Igbo race. Yes, 1% of 40 million is Four hundred thousand people.

If it was a one-off thing, then ignoring him would have been fine. The thing about fake news is that many lives are being affected silently and the extent of the damage cannot be quantified.

There is a difference between general/popular beliefs(misconception) and fact. So many people take general/popular beliefs as fact.

Imagine the general/popular beliefs about 20w50 against 5w30. Despite the fact that 5w30 is what is written on the oil cap. People still follow the general/popular beliefs. Thanks to people like "we at Dru23" that has been singing aggressively about the danger of using 20w50, aka palm oil, according to Dru23. I wouldn't have known about 5w30.

So many general/popular beliefs that are not true... Fine girls will always cheat. The rich are cocky and arrogant. "Yello" girls are mamiwater. Mungo Park discovered River Niger

Lets obey the rules.

Felicity0001:
See my brother each time I hear or see the blacks cry "racism" racism" I just look at them and laugh. grin

If the white man calls you black monkey
you call him white rabbit.

If a yoruba man calls you an igbo man "omo igbo"
you too call him "omo Yoruba".

So Mr man if you feel offended that I'm trying to address the moral decay identified not only by one person alone but by a large majority (even tho many don't have the boldness to come out and speak due to what you're currently doing now, i.e accusing me of being tribalistic) in a particular group of people then I'm sorry to offend you again, I reserve no apology for you.

If my true words hit in a bad spot it therefore means you've to check yourself very well, train your kids well and tell your brothers and sisters to do likewise. That's how to change rather than crying a fowl play.

Mind you I'm not a SW neither I'm a northerner. So stop twisting the true reality by saying I'm trying to be tribal. Lets change the society that we live else we'll live by being criminals or be killed by the criminals we raised with our "sit down look" attitude.

Cheers!.
No be you dey shout up and down here say Warri no dey carry last ?
I knew where you were from before making that post. So it's not as if I was thinking that you were from so so ... place.
And as expected, you didn't disappoint me by your response.
You don't even know where I come from, but you have concluded that I am from that Igbo because I just pointed out my observations.
It's clear to everybody that you have not called out any other tribe here apart from Igbo. Or are you telling me that you have never had any bad experience with other tribes before ?
My point is ; if everybody started mentioning the name of the tribe of bad riders, some tribes would definitely be high on the list. But then, tribal sentiment will come into play.
BusinessRe: If You Are Uber Partner In Lagos, Please Share Your Experience Here by confusedworld17: 10:00am On Dec 16, 2020
Bad character or crime has no tribe or region.
Felicity and co wants to turn this thread into tribal/regional war. At the mention of "Igbo girl", Felicity would Ejaculate.
He has even made himself the Chief Judge of bad or good accent.

A good number of South-Southerners bear Igbo names, some of their names sounds like Igbo names. To most people who are not from the South-Eastern part of this country, as long as your name is not Kazeem/Omolola or Musa/Aisha, then you are authomatically an Igbo person.

Lets be guided and STOP stereotyping
Person wey dey always complain say people dey look for him trouble, be like say na him dey look for people trouble.

I got to a pick up one early morning at about 5am at lekki phase 1, rider was in a haste going to the airport.
I met the rider already standing outside with her bags beside a coro with open bunnet, obviosly huber driver.

The driver (An elderly man) rushed towards my side and said "Good morning, abeg help me with your battery ? I dont no what happened to my battery, the thing no just start after I don reach here to pick this rider wey you want carry.

At this time the woman was already seated and shouting at me that I'm wasting her time that she's already late. For some seconds I got confused, who I go listen to. I turned to the woman and pleaded with her that this is not going to take more than 3 to five minutes, that we are going to be super fast about it. The woman insisted that I should leave and that she's going to make sure the she report me to Uber for delaying her.

I told the woman... Well, it's obvious that you are going to report me even if I left now, so the best thing I can do now is to help this Man start his car and he will take you to the airport... that way, nobody will report me since trip did not happen.

Lo and behold, it wasn't battery issue as the car still could not start.
I was still contemplating whether to go meet this woman and take her to the airport... before she now approached me and said that I should please take her to the airport that she's not going to report me since that is my fear and that two drivers had already cancelled her request.

I sha drop her off but I no come know whether she report me or not.
My point is,
Manner of approach matters a whole lot.
That guy wey request @Eyinola, his own don even pass entitlement.

Pam Pam Pam I go make so so amount of money. Pam Pam Pam I go save so so amount of money.
I even told myself say, since nah inside ac I go dey drive always, I go fresh like newborn baby. After some months into the hustle, some riders begin ask me say "Is this really you? . You look lighter in your profile picture." Me go answer dem say nah the hustle Oo..

@MrHeff. There's nothing to lose by trying rentals first for few months.

I have never picked any rider from local airport, just drop off and face GRA.
I like pick up from the international wing. Well organized and simple. Drop off at the top, pick up under.
Not the chaos they usually have at the local wing where drop off and pick up are so close.
There was this back to back trip I did. I got this request from badore to international airpot, after dropping rider, I decided to go make a uturn at nahco and then join the light traffic at the drop off zone just to see if request go enter. Lo and behold, request enter, another long trip to chevron.

Female Rider : Where are you ?
Me : I'm on top of you.
Female rider : You said what ?
Me : I... I wanted to say that I'm at the top... where... where they drop off passengers.
I turn to stammerer by fire by force for saying " I'm on top of you. "
Me and rider no talk till I drop her at her destination.
