Nonsense reportage ...can a popular political figure curtail the number of political beggars and hanger on that follow his itinerary up and down .. can all those hopeless urchins that follow Tinubus motorcade up and down Lagos and even campnoutside his Bourdillion home all day when he is around be said to have been accompaniments of Tinubu? What weapons is the shallow police talking of when the gang leader explicitly said the robbery was concocted by a dismissed SARs police man named Micheal Idikwu who also brought the 5 assault rifles that was used for the robbery..... since the planner and amourer of the offa robbery is a policeman can we also say that an IG boy carried out the robbery
And what do you make of the specially invited guests during saraki's daughter wedding accorded to the hoodlums, or you didn't see that one?

The gang leaders said he knew nothing about robbery. What would a Senate President want with a robbery with hundreds of millions they allocate to themselves?
You are still fixated on rubbery or no rubbery. Stop being lazy and read the body of the report. Saraki is not being invited because he sent those hoodlums to rub and steal money for him. He was indicted for buying prohibited arms for the gang. And the evidence so far indicates that mr Saraki has a serious link with them. Besides, the boys have said that they are being used by saraki and his governor to perpetrate political violence in Kwara state especially in an area they are not popular. All these are why saraki and the governor were indicted. So get it now, the offa rubbery is a secondary matter.

Whenever that question is asked, of course I am one of those that ask the question, it does not mean that out of the population of Nigeria that buhari is the only one qualified. In fact, he might be among the least qualified when you take away the issue of integrity, focus and mental toughness among all the required qualities for a person at that level. Having said that, I will therefore inform you that among those jostling for the seat, Atiku, Lamido, makarafi, dakwambo, Fayose, morghalu, sowore etc. Apart from morghalu who has not been tested, though he has a mouth watering CV at his disposal, there is nothing spectacular about others. And because the project of choosing Nigerian president is a very serious one, it therefore means that the likes of Fayose are not even under consideration. Atiku may have the rhetorics passing a message that goes to the sensibility of many Nigerians, like the message of restructuring he has been saying very loud. But Nigerians don't trust him. Like he has been talking about giving the youths chance. But, at about 70 years of age, he is still contesting. Is he a youth at that age? Morghalu on paper looks like what we need, but that office demands much more than that. Besides, he is in a minority party. Nigerians have always voted majority party. Even the writer of this article just like many other Nigerians will not remember any other person during the coming election except the candidates of APC and PDP. This common attitude of Nigerians will also rub us off Morghalu and other seemingly good candidates who will come from other minority party, just as it has happened in the past. The likes of Lamido, sowore, dakwambo etc are mere pretenders. They don't have the national appeal to meet the popularity of buhari. So In all, among those that have shown interest, its either they are not better candidates or they don't have what it takes to win against buhari.

How desperate can APC get than organizing a robbery operation with people close to Kwara government and ordered them to kill dozens to make it a big deal just to nail Saraki. Same way they organized a kidnap and release operation with Boko Haram to proof that they're better than PDP. People's life are getting wasted in all these. Wouldn't it be easier for them to focus these energies on quality and transparent leadership to get people's approval instead this method of bloodshed and pain? Why are people so heartless. Anyway, I think they're cursed.
Do you have a proof that APC organised the incident? How can a government plan to bring bad image against itself by organising such a crime against the people they are leading? It will pay us better if we chose to be reasonable and constructive instead of throwing all we have to the gutter just because of hatred.

What kind of cheap blackmails are all these. Police now using criminals to lie. Before it was Dino, now its Saraki and the governor. How much did they steal from bank that they can't have. Abeg Yeye
Police is not inviting saraki because he sent the boys to go and steal. Rather for the fact that part of the arms they used were said to have been provided for them by those indicted for other crimes they have carried out for them. Even the car (jeep) they used were given to them by the governor. That is why the governor is admitting that the money given to the hoodlums was for empowerment and not for him to use and buy a car. Not knowing, if i am correct, that he was empowering them in their rubbery business.

For those that feel it is a witchunt against saraki for his seemingly opposition to the government of Buhari, you can now see that the truth is gradually coming out. Until the governor shows evidence of how the youth empowerment was advertised and how the beneficiaries will emerge and how much the single obligor limit is, coupled with the list of the beneciaries showing the number of people he paid the same amount at the same period he gave to this hoodlums, this his statement remains a mirage.

Senate Should Pass A Bill To Stop Employment Age Discrimination. What happens to the youths above 30 years? Are they not Nigerians? Who should provide jobs for them? Considering the struggle and delay that Nigerian Youths go through to have a university education coupled with incessant strikes, there should be NO age barrier to job employment. If FG jobs can peg age limit at 30, why should we still allow politicians to contest at age above 60 years? Check FRSC, Nigeria Prison Service, Police recruitment and the likes, the maximum age limit is between 28-30 years.
Job seekers are confronted with many barriers. Of all the problems, age appears to take the lead. Even when the applicant is qualified for the job, his age can be an obstacle, writes MUYIWA LUCAS.
THE number of the country’s unemployed youths may continue to grow in leaps and bounds. This is because of a seeming clog employers have placed in the way of job seekers. Presently, not only must a job seeker graduate with very high grades, his age at the time of seeking employment has now become as equally important as his good grades.
At business districts, they are noticeable as they comb the streets in a well dressed suit, moving from offices to offices to submit job applications but during the short-listing; most companies dump their applications despite their impressive CV.
Hakeem Akintunde used to be a victim of age barrier in the labour market but the US visa lottery which he won in 2013 helped him out of the quagmire. He finished his degree at the age of 28 but most of the jobs he applied for turned him down because he did not qualify for age benchmark of 25 at a new generation bank among several others.
He is not alone. Uche Chiwendu finished her degree at the age of 26 from University of Port Harcourt with 2.1 grade in Accounting. She applied for a job at a leading auditing firm in Lagos. She was called for interview but at the final stage of the interview which she passed, the head of the interview team praised her for displaying excellence performance. She was however told that part of the company policy is that any candidate at the entry level should not be more than 23yrs. Chiwendu almost collapsed.
Sometimes in 2013, Tue July 2, KPMG International, a global network of professional services firms providing Audit, Tax and Advisory services advertised job vacancy for graduate trainee copied on www. with job reference number J2013. With 100 slots available in Lagos, the company requested that interested candidates should posses’ first class or second class (Upper) in any discipline, five O’level credits (including English & Math) at one sitting with an age ceaveat: “Not more than 26 years.”
Age discrimination in employment has become a major problem facing graduates and non-graduates in Nigeria. It has continued to enhance the unemployment situation in the country. Take a look at vacancy adverts in Nigeria and you will see how they are equipped with age restrictions and sometime certificate barriers. A typical example reads, “Candidate must not be more than 25 years of age, must possess a good university degree with a second class honours (Upper division). Candidate must have at least 10 to 15 years of experience”. Emphasis hardly placed on competence.
Sadly, a practice which was mainly associated with the banking industry has spread to other sectors. Today, government institutions Champion this course. Even foreign companies indulge in the practice when they do not have similar conditions in their own countries.
President General of Trade Union Congress (TUC) Comrade Bobooi Bala described age barrier in employment requirement as an unwholesome development.
“In other parts of the world, employers look at your competence. They never bother with your age as long as you can do the work efficiently. In the US, you see people still getting new jobs at 50; people are still working at 60 years. There is another thing they do here. They ask for seven, eight years experience. Can anybody acquire experience without first getting a job? It is really sad. People are taking advantage of the unemployment situation.”
Akintunde Ojo, a businessman, said employers are not inserting the age clause to prevent any class of people from getting employed. They are just looking for the best in terms of efficiency and disposition.
“You know the older you are, the tendency for you to be slowed down by age. I also tried in vain to get paid employment. My inability to get a job after six years of leaving the university, made me go into auto spares business.”
He, however, added that not everyone would be able to raise capital from family members like he did. He appealed to employers to consider the state of the nation and try to remove the age clause from vacancy adverts.
Comrade Lateef Oyelekan, President, National Union of Food Beverage and Tobacco Employees (NUFBTE), appealed to employers to remove the age clause, and consider competence instead of insisting on employing people within a certain age bracket only. He said they should also consider experience in their search for workers as experience goes hand in hand with age.
“Many people are frustrated, not because they cannot acquire the necessary qualification needed to secure employment, but because employers make them feel rejected. Many have lost hope.
“Employers should consider older citizens who have the required qualification for jobs,” he said.
The National Assemby has made efforts in the past to ensure that employers at all levels remove age barrier clause in their employment criteria. An Act to prohibit age discrimination in employment in the public and private Sectors in Nigeria sponsored by Hon. Hassan El-Badawywas debated but nothing has come out of the assembly.
With age discrimination in the labour market, a job recruitment expert, Mr. Michael Omole, said most Nigerians studying part time programmes without being engaged in a job already might not have a company to employ them as a result of age barrier which prevented them from going to school on time. He said government should enact the bill on age discrimination in other to make companies stop this act.
Source: https://www.thenationonlineng.net/age-barrier
This is the kind of issues our youths should be staging a protest about, both in fiscal and online or social media. Engage the national assembly with constant disturbance until it is done. Not things like our mumu done do, fighting for greedy politicians with our data in nairaland and stuffs like that which makes no direct impact on our well being. I personally appreciate this your points.

The hoodlums did not say they went for the rubbery at the instance of those indicted. Rather, the matter here which is why Saraki was invited is that the criminals said they are being nurtured and sustained by the duo because they use the gang members to carry out other crimes. to substantiate their claims, they are showing evidence of gifts and cash given to them by saraki, the governor and others associated to them.

Tell all this to a lay man on the street and see wat he tells u then judge the situation.

Even the niger delta situation on got resolved when buhari was sick and osinbajo handle everything. Buhari want to use brutal force bt realised it doesn't work dat way after he saw the collateral level of damage dey can do and its effects on d economy. If u really think those green horn ministers are doing anything wonderful to bring the change we need ure wasting ur time. The seemly stable situation in the country and economy right now is only because elections are coming and the cabal hv backed off and left apc to do their work in run ups to the elections after That d cabal with bring d economy/country to a virtual stand still in polices and efforts using divide and rule tactics... Unless Apc is able to work seamlessly with buhari and the senate we won't achieve much if they win. I actually voted for dis Ridiculous party and govt.
My brother you are making valid points, no doubt you know the situation on ground that is why You sound very coherently and I respect you for that.
Where we are departing is at the point attributing that the government is not working or making progress. Like the issue of Niger delta you have agreed that the government has resolved but With a caviet that it was osibanjo that resolved it, whether him or buhari, history will record it to buhari's regime and not the other way round. Again, the same osibanjo is still one of the cabinet you wrote off. You know he is the one playing the role Okonjo Iweala played in the last regime, which is cordinating the economic matters of the country.
As for cabals you mentioned, I must agree with you because the signs are there. But I contend that it is not as being exaggerated. I also agree that buhari needs a win win approach to governance involving the national assembly more often than the seemingly opposition they are playing against each other.
Please let us sign off on this matter.
Its been nice reasoning with you.
