jaxxy:I am happy you were able to mention all that. But I must say you mentioned the direct opposit of the reality on ground. For instance, the issue of Niger delta is one of the areas the government has done very well. Immediately they came to power, the Avengers started avenging the lost of their brother Jonathan By blowing the pipelines. The government studied and arrested the situation. That is why For over a year now, you don't hear sporadic bombing of pipelines. What did the government do? they released money for the take off of the maritime university okerenkonko delta state, which is one of the things they asked for. They improved the amnesty package by increasing the budgetary allocation to the scheme. The ogoni oil spill which is being cleaned up is also one of the major factors that arrested the restiveness in the region. Then very importantly, the government took other developmental issues seriously like never before. All the major roads in the region are now receiving serious attention like never before. Secondly, investment inflow in the country I must say you don't have the current information. The first quarter of this year, the country had above 25 billion dollars investment inflow, which is higher than many previous quarters. In fact, the economy has received major reforms like; the ease of doing business policy, the VAIDS, economic recovery growth plan, TSA, the anchor borrowers program, whistle blowing policy in the fight against corruption etc. In fact, are you aware that world bank just last month ranked Nigeria as one of the ten best reforming economies in the world? are you aware that the policy of the government has led to the increase we are having in our foreign reserve? And this is happening at a time the income to the treasury is very small to compare to the recent past. As for people traveling outside the country, that one is an age long issue and has nothing to do with buhari. Do you think that the Libyan returnees just traveled during this regime? No. Like wise many others. The issue of cabinet ministers is just a statement that people keep making and many seem to adopt it without making constructive criticism of that. This cabinet is working and have worked better than those who claimed to have had PhDs, schooled in Harvard, have the best experience and exposure etc. At the end where did they leave the economy? Of course you know where we are coming from. |
swiz123:Are you the father? |
Those are not prophetic messages. He was just reacting to the current political realities of the moment especially as it affect those states. many of us have done the same many times. So I don't think there is a big deal here. Advising a party to choose a good candidate in other to win is a natural precaution every party must take without being told. Again, Fayemi like every other candidates will naturally be mindful of their utterances. In fact he merely advised the players in the coming elections. |
Hedonisst:Any proof? at least we heard about this one and many others when the former regime was in power. It wasn't like sitting down and be making baseless assumptions. Or are you among those saying that they are hiding it? then I will tell you that PDP has their spies everywhere and will not waste time to shout to the hearing of everybody at any slightest abnormal behavior of the present government. |
jaxxy:Can you mention some of those bad policies so that you don't look like one who has joined the band wagon shouting bad policies of the government because others are shouting. |
fotadmowmend:This is not blaming and those not look like one. This simply exposing the atrocities and crimes against this country by some of those who were saddled with the affairs of the country. Let's stop behaving like people whose minds are just fixated by calling a spade a nicke name. |
nkul:N9.2 billion stoves and you are not worried. The only thing you are interested is for the stoves to be shared, and of course why should the government expose and blame those that committed the crime. Tomorrow you will be among those shouting for a better Nigeria whereas you are not even sure of what you want. |
TarOrfeek:It is not blame but reminding you of some of the things we seem to be forgetting in a hurry. Even though some people who have mortgaged their conscience feel that it doesn't matter, hence they react more angrily than those directly accused. |
PassingShot:Don't mind them, they are now jumping up and down trying to change the narrative by saying PDP pulled down the federal might as if they contested against the federal government and not other political parties. Instead of acknwoledging that INEC is being freed from government interference. |
You lied with this your post. Booing is part of football, those English people and other European countries do it morethan us. And they would have done it louder in this case if they have their own guy playing for an opposition country. So Please there is nothing backward about the actions of those fans. |
She got what she deserved. Even in private sector, her action is an act of sabotage against your employer. If you want to be free to insult or go to some extent in criticising your employer, you first resign. Saying that her conduct was not stated in her offer letter is rubbish, like in every other places, the rules governing any organization are usually stated in the condition of service and not in an offer letter. Again, the issue of freedom of speech should not always be abused. After all the same constitution that gave such right also kicked against the same expression being made in the form libel and slander. |
This is where I have issues with president buhari. He is simply not approaching this herders issues with the urgency it requires. |
Is it that Jonathan Is not good at listening too? That is why I have long distanced myself from this PhD charade as a prerequisite for competence. |
Abeyjide:Why not pay attention to the reason given by the deputy senate president. |
I think it is a very good reason and wise step the national assembly have taken in this matter. If the Senate president is constitutionally empowered to head the country in the case of the president and his vice are for any reason not available at the same time, then it is only wise and consistent to make the senate president to be qualified in age among other factors. Else, there will be a serious constitutional crisis whenever Such situation beckons. people will still go to court to contest the fact that person is not qualified by age if he is below 35. |
So why all the noise about Malaysia and how the country's economy has transformed and left Nigeria and others behind. Most of the alarmist we have in this country who parade themselves as economic gurus will one day put everybody into trouble. They just look at structures built and confuse people by calling all that economic growth. They forget that there is a sharp difference between economic growth and economic development. Look at a country with debt to GDP ratio of 80%, just like America that has debt to GDP ratio of 101%. And all these fake genius keep pointing and advising we should have used the same model those countries have used as the right bench mark to adopt. When it is obvious that they can not even sustain themselves. Even though it is better to borrow and build infrastructure than to borrow and pay salaries as practised by Jonathan. But the situation of Malaysia and other countries have shown that they are not healthy because of the economic policies they have practised. it is not every infrastructure that is worth building, especially when they can not generate revenue to defray the debt used in building them. |
You are already under investigation as the possible sponsor of the shooting. |
dominique:Dont mind that fake person of a senator. He likes to play to the gallery just for him to be noticed. Ask him how many times he has patronized those Aba tailors just for his own clothes and shoes, you will be surprised he does not even know the address of any of them. I wonder if the Aba tailors would have had the financial capacity to sponsor the team as Nike is doing. Bruce Common sense has long been common stupidity to me. |
abokibuhari:If truly you were electoral officer in that election where Jonathan and obanikoro used federal might such that has never been witnessed before, and you are still saying this, then its either you are not saying the truth or you have simparty for Fayose and PDP. |
This headline lied just like the author of the news. |
Wiseandtrue:It's obvious you don't read meaning and understand the current realities of Nigerian politics. |
deomelo:You can say that again. |
HungerBAD:Don't be deceived by all these. Check my yesterday post about Fayose and this his charade sort of governance. |
Its only a child that sees a scorpion and call it a milipid. No problem go and spend the money at your own peril. |
KingRagnar:It's just people of like minds and mediocres that see it that way. |
Good for him and better for our democracy. |
Nigeria lost the revenue to who? This article is simply a sponsored write up styled to make the IPOB guys appear too relevant. |
Fayose old age is not a curse but a gift which comes with wisdom, wise council etc. If you think that buhari irritates you because of his old age, then I should remind you that, it is only a fool that does not know that the ugly look of his father's manhood is not a choice, because his will equally look the same after the tedious journey of procreation. |
agabaI23:You made a very intelligent and valid point. |
Sirjamo:The most important thing is not who initiated and who completed the project. In a situation like this, the ultimate winner is the entire Nigerian masses, so I join you in celebrating this wonderful edifice. Thanking God that it is happening in our life time. |
kimjongJezebel:That is the way you see it because he has joined your party. Anything he does henceforth will be right in your eyes. If this midiocrity he is exhibiting here is how to fight evil, never you cry tomorrow that anybody in government is not doing well. |
When a child dances the dance of surugade, he stops to look, how swift his waist and legs moves to the rhythm of the drums, he will not know that the old men sitting in the square in waist pain nodding to the same rhythm were once swifter than him. Let Dino be behaving the way he wants thinking that he is smatter than everybody, but Soon he will realize that he does not fool anybody. |

I served in Ekiti, I was a presiding officer when Fayose defeated Fayemi in 2014. Even in his own local government and ward, Fayose defeated Fayemi. I just the laugh when I see people from nowhere telling us that they will win Ekiti. They should add 4 more local government from ondo, Fayose go still sweep Ekiti.
