Pastor Chris Simon Amadi of Shalom Mercy Ministry in Aluu, Ikwerre Local Government Area of Rivers State has been arrested by the police for allegedly strangling his wife to death.
IGBERE TV gathered that the ugly incident happened in their home at Mbodo Community after a disagreement over school fees payment in his wife’s school.
Speaking with IGBERE TV correspondent, a relative to the wife who craved anonymity said trouble started when the deceased confronted her husband for chasing some of her pupils away from school for failing to pay on time, without first checking with her.
"When the wife confronted him, the pastor strangled her to death and wrapped her with clothes so that nobody will know".
"It was when we started calling her number but she wasn't picking that we decided to go to the house to know if everything is fine."
"When we got there, her phone kept ringing inside her room but we didn't see her. We asked her husband the wife's whereabouts, he said she went out."
"We were shocked when we saw my sister wrapped inside clothes. The husband has been beating the wife from time to time but we didn't it will get to the extent of him killing her".
IGBERE TV gathered that the pastor has been married to the deceased since 2012 and the marriage is blessed with four children, two boys and two girls.

In the clip that surfaced online, Patoranking was featured getting ready for a football match. As luck would have it, the man met him and Pato gave him two $100 bills (#120,000).
According to him, he had not a dime in his pocket and was wondering how he will survive these hard SAPA times before meeting Patoranking. The man took to Twitter to thank Patoranking and shower him with praises.

This story is long and like Nigerians would do, they will probably laugh but here goes.
I worked for a while for an organisation in Lagos. This is where I met my scammer. We were recruited together and started on the same day and became friends. This was in 2007. Not long after in 2008 or 2009, she left the company/country to go do a masters and we lost contact. In after saving every kobo from that job, in 2015 I used my money to cross desert and left too as part of the outflux from Nigeria.
I can’t say its been a bed of roses as hussle overseas is hard, but I have been able to make ends meet and been saving like a lunatic.
Out of the blue in 2015, this woman/scammer contacted me. She was back in Nigeria, married and in a very toxic relationship with her partner as she told the story. According to her, even though her husband worked for a big organisation in Lagos and was doing very well, she was struggling to feed. Even though she had foreign masters, he wouldn’t let her work when she tried and was making her life hell over working. When she quit he job, he wouldn’t provide for her and the child they had together.
She then pleaded with me to loan her anything, any amount to trade with. I believe I loaned her N250k not bothering what she wanted to trade. Couple of weeks later, she rang me back, returned the 250k and like 20k on top. I said thank you and moved on.
This continued, she would call for more, return on time and return with something.
As time went on, her husband left the country to join the hussle overseas. She reached out to me to say he had finally abandoned her and their kid and she was starving. She said to fund his exit, he sold all their household property, sold the apartment they lived in, borrowed money given to her for safe keeping by her aunt and basically ran with it. All this was her side of the story. As I was not friends with the husband, I could not verify what she said as true. I took pity on this horrible woman and asked what she wanted to do. She asked for a loan, she was going to start a business and wanted me to be an investor. This was in 2018. All in all I loaned her N26m between 2018-19. This might sound like I am a rich person but no. I had no reason to doubt her. I had loaned her 10m, she returned. 15m, she returned. So I gave her the 26m and that was the beginning of my problems. She was supposed to return 13m at the end of 2019 and the balance whenever I requested it. We agreed the return in this way so as not to crash the business she was building. I told her, add whatever you can afford on top, no obligations. This woman who used to speak to me once or twice a week, every week since 2015 is now unreachable. She has been unreachable since Dec of 2019. She has blocked me everywhere. Whatsapp/Facebook/Instagram/Phone calls. Ofcos when i hide my number, her phone rings but she doesn't pick as she suspects its me. As I do not reside in the country, I have been unable to do anything to her. The country I reside in has been in mad lockdown/covid since March 2020 so I cannot leave/travel. This woman basically has all my life savings.
I thought I was saving a life as per her cries about her husband from 2015 to 2019 and investing back home while out there hussling, this person is basically about to ruin me.
This is an example of why it is wrong to help anyone in Nigeria. This wicked wicked woman has taught me my life lesson. that if you find someone suffering, it Is God’s will for the person so don’t interfere.
And before anyone insinuates that maybe I had a relationship with her, well obviously I live too far away for that to be true. Neither did we run things when we were colleagues for a year or so.
I have been reading here how EFCC has been moving all of these suspected yahoo boys, I really need help. I don’t know who needs to see this to help but don’t know what else to do. I have hired lawyers to go after her but they are either incompetent or hampered by the Nigerian snail paced legal system. Nothing is off the table here, post your suggestions as I will read all comments.

We, the undersigned leading and prominent Civil Right advocacy group; Human Rights Writers Association of Nigeria (HURIWA) wishes to draw the attention of the Nigerian President; His Excellency; Muhammadu Buhari to the clear and unambiguous symptom of a failed leadership in the Ministry of Interior due to political distraction on the side of the Minister; Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola and the need for the Minister to be called to order or asked to quit and face local Osun State politics.

More worrisome is that there are indications of clear communications gaps between the Office of the Commandant General and the Minister`s Office for the deployment of tactical and combatant teams of NSCDC to all Correctional Centers in Nigeria, which was allegedly declined by the Minister.
However, there was an alleged express approval from the Minister for the transfer and deployment of hundreds of NSCDC officers to Osun State to protect personal buildings and provide security covers for persons fighting proxy political wars on his behalf. To show the import attached to these over and above the statutory mandates of the NSCDC, State Commandant of the NSCDC; Mr. Emmanuel Ocheja, personally leads most of the operations.
Referencing the Establishment Act of the Nigerian Security and Civil Defense Corps (2003), empowers para-military agency to function in the “enhancement of security network and formation within the country, so as to develop structures and training strategies that would contribute to the national security with a broader vision to put to work efficiency in service delivery with a fresh zeal; bring credibility into concept of security,” Aregbesola’s action so far has portrayed him as a man not worthy of holding a public office of such national strategic and security importance.
It has therefore become pertinent that Your Excellency implements sanctions in calling the Minister to order and direct him to appropriately deploy personnel of the Security Agencies under his Ministry to perhaps fortify prison security and other critical national assets rather than been deployed for political assignments.
This petition to call the Minister to order is germane owing to the fact that every jailbreak portends the release of possible arsonists, murderers, assassins, armed robbers, kidnappers, rapists, terrorists, and all manner of criminals that make the society a dangerous place to live in.
Beyond this, the successful and attempted jailbreaks across Correctional Centres in the Country have all exposed the gross incompetence and ineffective leadership at the Interior Ministry since Rauf Aregbesola’s assumption of office as Minister due to political distraction on the side of the Minister.
Hence, His Excellency, the President should expedite actions in curtailing the excesses of Rauf Aregbesola in his privileged position as a minister in using the Security Agencies under his Ministry for alleged political gains by exploring the use of sanctions that disallows public office holders to be involved in this phenomenon of using personnel of security agencies for personal interest and for advancing political expansionist tendencies.
This is because deploying sanctions in calling Rauf Aregbesola to order would provide accountability for and be a deterrent to anyone involved in using their position to divert the attention of security agencies to personal interest.

The woman named Roseline was caught with the child in Upper Iweka, Onitsha, Anambra state. The baby looks about a week old, according to eye witnesses and the mother of the child is not known.
When quizzed, the elderly woman, who is from Enugu State and based in Onitsha, claims she "intercepted" the mother of the child in Asaba, Delta State, and the mother accepted "a little money" in exchange for her child.

we even saw the woman in the car, because of the rush we got his number and decided to give him the money not knowing he was 419. His not picking my calls anymore.

The Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) has arrested an Arik Air worker for allegedly seeking bribes from a passenger at the general aviation terminal, Lagos.
General Manager, Corporate Affairs of FAAN, Henrietta Yakubu, said this in a statement in Lagos on Tuesday.
Yakubu confirmed that the on-duty card of the erring worker was withdrawn immediately, adding that she had been handed over to the relevant security agency for appropriate action to serve as a deterrent to others.
She said: “Officials were also directed to always wear conspicuous name tags anytime they are on duty.
“Airport managers have been directed to ensure that all stakeholders at the airports are properly sensitised on the new development as there will be no sacred cows.”
Barely a day ago, the Federal Airport Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) warned that bribe-seeking workers at Nigeria’s airports will be barred for life from working at the airport terminals across the country if caught.
The FAAN Managing Director, Captain Rabiu Yadudu, said this while addressing newsmen in Abuja after an emergency meeting with FAAN’s management over rising cases of bribery at airports.
The development trailed a viral video shared by an American vlogger, Sabbatical, as he called out airport officials for requesting money at different points.
