dayokanu is a charlatan - a raving mad ignoramus. irwin is our best left back ever. greater than mr. evra can ever be. in irwin's prime, he was simply untouchable!

ritchboy: This is a really good XI. . . Consider Ando/Cleverley > Carrick(aka bestest English DM) cheesy
i cannot see the comparison - ando/clev are 2 attack-minded midfielders. carrick is a deep lying midfielder who can be called upon in difficult away games. do i prefer ando/clev axis to carrick? it depends on the opposition!

yemmight: Is this how our trophy will be gotten back when old man is not even making any impact in transfer market? Even Arsenal are really looking good with the new signing with an addition Carzola today. They already preparing a replacement for Song. Old man has revealed to us we will be loosing 3 defenders at the start of the season and Evra is already a shyte. Honestly, this season will be worst ever for us if drastic change is not effected. It just pains me anytime we identify fine players and some clubs will then beat us to it. angry angry angry angry
calm your nerves....
we are perfectly fine for the start of the season in my opinion!

ifyalways: If it's a new marriage with no pregnancy or child in the picture I'm so dumping his foooolish a.rse. angry but if it's a tested and trusted marriage with children etal, it's family first,I'm going to bail him, stand by him but when he gets home, the fvck up would be treated.
stand by "him"?
a woman stole the phone not a man!

degamonn: This happened at NYSC Orientation Camp, Wannune, Takar Local Government Area,Benue in the just concluded camping of of 2012-Batch B.
This woman applied for redeployment on marriage grounds and when she was granted the permission to leave the camp, she stole a Black Berry phone belonging to a fellow corps member and hid it in her pants. Every corps member in her hostel was asked if they saw the phone but no one admitted seeing the phone.
Unfortunately for the woman, when she was leaving the camp her belonging had to be searched at the gate and in the process, the stolen Phone rang severally and the security men at the gate insisted that she must answer her call having noticed that there were several reports of stolen items and most especially phones at the camp. It was at that process the phone was discovered in her pant and the NYSC authorities insisted that the husband must come before she could be released.
If you are the husband of this woman who subjected her husband to public disgrace and humiliation of that nature, what will you do to her? Retain her or divorce her?
bail her and drive her straight to her father's house!

Dharkchild: @justwise thanks. Would mail them and hope they reserve the apartment while I keep looking at other options incase they don't. Was just convinced Cos a friend went there to check for me. Advice much appreciated
pay your deposit asap - you have nothing to worry about. you're dealing with an agent who must have an office, phone number and people you can speak to verify the authenticity of the property you intend to rent. your £200 holds that apartment until you arrive and trust me, your problems in the uk are 95% solved if you have a roof over your head.

most friends/relatives/family would not take you in - you have already confirmed your friend have been to the property to see what it looks like. if you're in doubt, take the agent's office number/email and speak to them concerning the property. don't risk losing out on a property you're well satisfied in because of a paltry sum of £200.
Lemme say this. . .If I had the choice of getting something just once a month and getting more bang for my buck vs getting something 3 times a month and getting less for my money, I would be an Idiot to pick the latter

Maybe it is the Ijebu blood from my great great great great. . .wait, how many great is that ok it have not reached, great, great grandmother but there is no way I am spending more than I really have to. cheesy
i knew it - you have to be an ijebu woman to come up with these ground breaking ideas. i am sure you also form an association to share a crate of eggs too. after all, it cheaper when 5 people share 30 eggs than buying 6 on your own...
You don't need an Economist or Mathematician or one of them brainy people who can do calculations off the top of their heads, to tell you the quantity you get will be 10 times more than what you woulda gotten in the regular stores. It just makes economic sense for some people do that.
like storing a dozen bottles of skimmed milk for rainy days. it also makes loads of economic sense cos you get a discount doing such! grin

And again, it is not for everybody. . .people will take convenience over quantity and others vice versa and considering the fact that what is CONVENIENT OR INCONVENIENT itself is subjective, what is the lalakokofefe in this matter? cheesy cheesy
that it is not for everyone doesn't make it right too....sometimes sheer ignorance comes into play in the choices we make. i used to know a guy who would never get on the train cos he thought everytime he swipes his oyster card, he gets charged for it. so he was using the bus for years. when i told him after a certain amount of money, his card won't get charged regardless of the number of trips he makes in the same day, he could only marvel.

the funniest thing is he shies away from spending money on a faster mode of traveling but he can spend half of his salary in whorehouses in one night!

r231: So you expect me to get up every Saturday morning to go and que for meat When I can just get it one time, cook and fry it then toss it in the freezer
if you want it fresh, why not? how long are these queues anyways? go to east ham on barking road, there must be a handful of slaughterhouses there where you can buy your meat conveniently at any time of the day - if you add as little as £10, your goat can be special-delivered without requiring your signature!
Travel › Re: Why Is UK So Expensive??? by coogar: 6:06pm On Jul 30, 2012
jay bee: Splitting goat/lamb/pig ain't really a biggie.
Most people do so because of its value, freshness and the ability to enjoy quantity whilst quality isn't being compromised.
I wouldn't do it personally cos i ain't big on 'em goats et al as well as the requirement of having to wake up rather too early in the morning to go do the shopping.
It's common among Zimbabweans as well so it ain't just a Nigerian phenom
i second that....
the way some nigerians idolise meat, you worry if some of their ancestors were carnivores. wake up in the morning to hunt goats is not just what i can handle. food is fairly cheap and one does not need to go through such stress to save 40p!

penny wise pound foolish!

r231: Bro it's not about the price, it's quantity
A whole one is less than £100 and if you have storage for it fine
that's exactly my point---
if i have to buy a live goat with 3 others and store it for weeks/months then the excuse of freshness and quality cannot stand! the quality of the goat meat would deteriorate in your freezer and the purpose of buying that much gets defeated!
Jeeeedus Effing Christos!!! Where did anyone say they they slaughter the goat in their backyardshuh huh huh

From what I understand, these people get together. . .go to the slaughterhouse, pay for a whole goat and have it divided into 3 or 4 or 5 or however how many parts they want it divided into.
Seriously, someone help me out here. . .am I missing something??
getting together @ the slaughterhouse and splitting it there? of course, that's possible!!

r231: For the last time it's not a live goat undecided
Where do you see live goat in EastHam
You buy a whole goat hanging there on the wall and split it into 3
Simple
but then how much is a goat to go through the stress of assembling goat investors before one can eat? anyways, people priortise different things so it's a tedious issue to dissect!

Pay up and offer us £25m. . . .surely you don't want those noisy neighbours to get him? Y'all get a £5m discount because of the Fergie Wenger relationship. Citeh price is £30m. grin
fergie is a tool - maybe he's looking at the vacuum owen and berbatov would create but then he doesn't need to move dimitar berbatov - our bite in the midfield should be addressed instead of acquiring van persie!
There are places closer to London. i know a friend who works in London but stays in Aldershot. House are cheaper there and they are nice structures with full car park and garden. Thats almost an hour drive which is not bad
one hour drive is bad! it takes a toll on the mileage of your car, the stress of waking up far earlier than your colleagues, mental tiredness, you spend more on fuel, etc. if you add those factors together, sometimes you are better off paying for a flat in stratford or even grays.
Travel › Re: Why Is UK So Expensive??? by coogar: 12:21pm On Jul 30, 2012
justwise: That is an established fact, my point is that people should look outside London or shop around non-affluence areas and stop moaning about how expensive London is.
so if you are working in central london, you would move to leeds because houses are cheaper up north? what about transportation, time of travel, stress of having to wake up early and get home late in the night? you have to consider those factors - the people forking out wads of pounds are not silly. the choice is no longer in their hands but where their workplace is situated!

but what do you guys really expect? london is the capital - its expected that the cost of living in london would be much higher than the other cities in the united kingdom!

justwise: Which city in the UK is your friend studying? That seems like an exaggerated figure because in many cities in the UK that is what you pay for 2 or 3 bedroom flat.

If she really pays such amount then she must either be dull not to have noticed that is a rip-off or she is trying to show-off while she is dying quietly .
3-bedroom houses can go as high as £1800(bills inclusive) in most parts of london. how can you say £600/month can get a 2-3 bedroom when sometimes a one bedroom flat can be £1000 a month in london suburbs?
