Hugoempirecargo:That is the issue. How do you mean 'save us'? You and who? Is Buhari the president of the other countries in the world, including the the UK, US, France etc, where economic crisis are deepening by the day? The PDP constructed less than 900km of Federal roads in 16 years while the APC has achieved over 8,000 in less than 8 years... Nigeria's decades of rot in the rail sector is receiving commendable attention with Lagos-Ibadan Railway, Warri-Itakpe Railway, Abuja-Kaduna Railway etc, already up and running... Under Buhari, key national airports received significant upgrade. So, what are you really saving Nigerians from? More than 30 fertilizer blending plants have been revitalized to support agriculture. Nigeria is almost attaining sufficiency in rice production. So, what do you mean by saving us from APC? Buhari and the current FG have been pivotal to the accelerated commencement of the Dangote Refinery early next year. This will improve the economy substantially, as the FG has a stake in the refinery. On power, the 700MW Zungeru Hydropower Plant is set for commissioning too. PDP started that project, like many others, but did not complete it, despite billions of investments in the power sector by both Obasanjo and Jonathan. Tinubu's campaign theme is 'Renewed Hope'...he didn't say that he is coming to save Nigerians from Buhari... It is Atiku that wants to 'Rescue Nigeria', after heading Nigeria's Council on Privatization as Vice President and Chairman, and making a mess of the system. As for Obi, that one knows next to nothing about leadership. Obi keeps talking about production, but none of his supporters has deemed it necessary to ask him how many production factories he set up as governor of Anambra state? Kwankwaso has way superior records in public office than Obi. Obi says that he wants to 'Take Back Nigeria'. Was he able to take back Anambra? Where was he when IPOB / ESN / Unknown Gunmen took Anambra? He ran off to Lagos abi? The Mondays of Anambra people, including their livelihoods, have been taken from them forcefully, many have lost their lives or maimed? What has Obi done about this? Obi that couldn't conduct LGA elections. Obi that failed to account for LGA funds in 8 years. Obi that only added around N1billion to Anambra's IGR in 8 years... |
PresidObi:Tinubu is way better than Obi. Let's judge them by their past records. Obi is no match for Tinubu at all. Tinubu does not have to attend any debate to prove anything. |
Jestin:Oga, I fit bet anything say people wey dey this Lekki Obi rally no reach 50,000 sef... |
mbos:You think say I be you wey no sabi where you come from? Go and ply the road from Awka through Umuawulu and Awgbu to Amaokpala in Orumba North LGA.. Even the bypass from Agulu to Nise and Awka. What of Agulu to Adazi to Neni. Awka etiti to Igboukwu to Isuofia to Ekwuluobia are ridden with terrible potholes. Abi na Uga to Nkpologwu to Ekwuluobia in Aguata LGA. What of from Amansea to Ndiukwuenu to Okpeze down to Ufuma? As a matter of fact, Governor Soludo just flagged off construction of this road, and work has commenced. Roads in Anambra are in a total state of mess. Ask anybody that knows Anambra well. Obi didn't do well as governor. That is a statement of fact. Little wonder, it took an Obiano for a state that, arguably, boasts the most travelled and enterprising people in Nigeria, to have an airport after about three decades of creation. It took an Obiano to have a state of the art conference facility - the Awka International Convention Center and also a standard sports facility - the Awka City Stadium. To even think that people believed Obi when he claimed to have saved Anambra N57billion is laughable. Let's assume that this is true, why save such money when your state is in dire need of infrastructures, industries and jobs? How much sense does this make? I am a proper Nigerian. I was born in the North, raised in the North, and lived significantly in the Southwest, Southsouth and Southeast. Schooled in the North and Southeast too. I don't do politics of tribe or religion. If you know the meaning of the word cosmopolitan. That is me. |
talk2hb1:Most of those monies were stolen or acquired through questionable means. This is beyond not believing in using the bank. |
Karlosorji:If not that you are senseless, who would be talking of maintaining a road just less than 10 years after construction? A good number of the roads even developed dangerous potholes while he was still serving as governor. And you come here to talk bullshit about maintenance....road don turn generator when dem dey maintain monthly? If you know anything about building strong institutions, you wouldn't come here to embarrass yourself. Lagos is doing even much better in developing new infrastructural projects as well as maintaining and refurbishing existing public services, provided by past administrations in the state. This is what institutionalization is about. If you are confirming that this is not happening in Anambra, then you just confirmed and agreed with me that Obi failed as governor, and therefore can't be president. The greatest hallmark of a good leader lies in developing quality human capital to sustain your physical legacies. You guys know nothing about leadership, that is why you think it is about wearing one kind of clothes and pretending to be humble; complaining about social ills to earn cheap popularity; leveraging on mass ignorance by young people and always being defensive to excuse your incompetencies, as Obi is known for. A good leader amplifies good things done by others while building his campaign agenda around areas of improvement in sectors where more is required...not by complaining all the time and deriding the current leadership. I have never heard Obi commend Buhari on the Second Niger Bridge, Lagos-Ibadan Railway and other outstanding projects, not even the Onitsha-Enugu Expressway or upgrade of the Akanu Ibiam International Airport rather he was credited with a comment that suggested that infrastructural projects do not have bearing on the economy. Did Obi not know that Cosmas Maduka (Coscharis), an indigene of our state - Anambra, benefited from Buhari's Anchor Borrower's Scheme, in billions, to setup one of the largest rice farms in Southern Nigeria? Did Obi not know that Buhari directed patronage of Innoson spares by the military? That Buhari approved purchase of vehicles worth hundreds of millions for MDAs from Innoson, including the FRSC? That, on account of Buhari's directive, tons of military footwears and uniforms are now made in Aba and Calabar? Anyone who dares say the truth is seen as being paid and used ...Lol. That further shows how incurably petty you guys are. |
Joezik:Tell me, how is he better? Please, let's stick to their verifiable records of past performances in office. Thank you. |
tegrianonigltd:Before we go to verify anything.... Please, let's ask Obi what Anambra money was doing saved in a bank in which he holds a majority stake...what do we call that? Let's us ask how he inherited the franchise of Anambra people in the entire 21 LGAs to appoint leaders for them for 8 years? How constitutional is that? |
Freethinker87:Lol! Cheap rhetorics! How suicidal are the Second Niger Bridge, Warri-Itakpe Railway, Lagos-Ibadan Expressway, Zungeru Hydropower Plant, Bonny-Bodo Bridge, Lagos-Ibadan Railway, Calabar-Cameroun Highway, Apapa-Oshodi-Oworoshoki Highway, Ogbia Water Project, Ziks Masoluem Project, Revolution in rice production, Airports upgrade, revitalized Fertilizer Blending Plants, Three-year JAMB result validity period, Pension payment to ex Biafran security operatives, retired FAAN staff etc, Schools Feeding Program, Anchor Borrower's Scheme, other social Investment initiatives etc. You should come talk to me on how to rid your heart of hate and petty sentiments in order to attain normal human rationality. |
buckeyemedia:U dey mind dem? Most people supporting Obi have never been to Anambra where he served as governor for 8 years. I told one recently that Obi vehemently refused to conduct LGA elections in 8 years, and the guy was dumbfounded. Nearly all his supporters are people that are grossly less informed, especially those in the Southsouth that hardly leave their states and region, and know next to nothing about happenings in the country. |
Rapuru14:We go vote am Asiwaju....go hug transformer. Vote your pandora, unquestionable billionaire who became a billionaire right from birth...e carry wealth come world... |
Aufbauh:I am from Anambra state, and from an LGA that shares same border with Peter Obi's Anaocha LGA. My town is a 10 - 15 minute drive to Obi's Agulu. I make bold to say that Obi is the worst candidate for president. Almost all the roads constructed under Obi are ridden with potholes today. The man left no legacy whatsoever in Anambra state. |
Karlosorji:1. You views passed you off as someone from the Southeast. 2. The North voted massively for Jonathan in 2011 despite contesting against Buhari. Jonathan won Taraba, Adamawa, Plateau, Kogi, FCT etc. Theses are all states in the North. 3. Jonathan lost in 2015 on account of abysmal performance. 4. If you talk about fairness, then you have to know that out of PDP's 16 years leadership of Nigeria, 14 was by Southerners. 5. It is halftruth that Atiku caused PDP loss in 2015. Atiku and the North felt marginalized as a Jonathan win would translate to 18 years of Southern rule, hence he left preferring to contest the APC primary against Buhari rather than have a futile fight against Jonathan for an already determined primary result in the PDP. 6. Wike is his own albatross. His senselessness will be his undoing. Was Secondus a Northerner? Why did Wike work to kick him out as National Chairman of the PDP? Was it not for his own selfish gain? Wike erroneously thought that having a Northern party Chairman would better his chances at the primary. Despite that, Atiku thought him that he is a learner in national politics. Everyone smart sees this as a backfired plan and nemesis on Wike, except you. 7. Everything Wike did was for himself, including your claim of him bankrolling the PDP, almost singlehandedly. He used Rivers money, not his own money. 8. If you say that the North is being unfair by always supporting Northerners for the presidency. At least, we have seen them support Jonathan significantly. Which Northerner have at least two Southern regions, (like the NC and NE did for Jonathan), supported for the presidency? |
Felimax:Lol! That means that the Nigerian PDP was also better than the current UK administration as the Pounds sterling has plunged in value; and also better than the US government and most countries globally, with greater external debts than in 2015. Village boy, Nigeria's agricultural output now dwarfs what obtained in 2015. Thousands of displaced farmers in the NE due to insurgency, under the PDP, returned to their communities and farms under Buhari. What does that tell you regarding the improved security that Buhari promised? Today, Borno is one of Nigeria's best performing states on infrastructural development, with arguably the most competent governor in Nigeria. Lagos-Ibadan Expressway which commenced under your thieving PDP was completed under Buhari. Buhari upgraded all major international airports in the country, including the Akanu Ibiam International Airport in Enugu. Where was your PDP while the nation's airports rot away? Buhari revitalized more than 30 fertilizer blending plants across the country, that were hitherto moribund under the PDP, including the Ebonyi State Fertilizer and Chemical Company Limited. This program alone, the Presidential Fertilizer Initiative, halved fertilizer cost, saved billions in foreign exchange and generated several jobs. The Second Niger Bridge, Southeast's most strategic projects, is near completion....thanks to the Buhari administration. Should we talk of the magnificent Bonny-Bodo Bridge project commenced and abandoned by your PDP? Even one of your PDP presidents, Jonathan , couldn't complete a water project he started in Ogbia, his own LGA; but Buhari came to the rescue for Ogbia people. Same way Obasanjo abandoned the Lagos-Abeokuta Highway in his 8 years as president. Should we talk about the Lagos-Ibadan Railway, the revitalized Warri-Itakpe and Lagos-Ibadan Railways by Buhari. Yes, it may be expensive...but Nigerians now eat their own rice. Where was the Cassava bread the PDP promised? Abi, you think say we don forget? You rate the APC against the PDP on currency value and external debt. Which of the two political parties stayed longer in power? Which generated more revenues? What were their labour bill sizes versus revenue generation? What are their signature projects? Zungeru hydropower dam project commenced under the PDP, that spent $16billion on power, has just been completed by Buhari with a capacity of 700MW. So, tell me how better PDP was....oya, let's do this in terms of projects and accomplishments. |
Felimax:You talk senselessly.... PDP ruled for 16 years...oya, let's compare their projects with those of just one APC president in only 8 years.... |
Acidosis:And Obi was known as a big time businessman before he became governor abi? Lol! |
azpekuliar:Where is the sense in what you wrote? Obi bought a house in the UK for a million pounds in 1996 at age 35 ?Have you asked the nature of businesses he does? Who mentored him? What does he sell? Who are his clients? Do you know what it is to have a million pounds at age 35? Una just dey too gullible. |
NaijaRoyalty:People aren't elected president just based on likeness. The question is, does he have the right level of competence to be Nigeria's president? How do we answer the above? Perhaps, we can attempt to, by drawing up a list of his key accomplishments, in policies, programs and projects, as Anambra governor. No be like we wan chop.... |
Felimax:Which useless PDP? The same PDP that raised almost double the value of money needed to build a party National Secretariat but haven't been able to do so in close to a decade? You just confirmed yourself as being that one and only FOOL. |
Hi Kingsmm55:Na mumu dey worry those girls. Dem no wetin their papa dey pass through for za oza room with their mama....maybe, their mum isn't doing well in that area na... See as their mama even tie wrapper like grandma there... Common cheating wey people dey cheat upandan here and life dey go on smoothly, naim dem dey give their papa global humiliation for. Lol! Abeg, make dem shift with their yeye accent. |
LagosIsForIgbos:Na normal Naija mediocre reasoning.... Who dash Osimhen deadly striker rating? Dude isn't as good as he is rated... |
JoeNL22:Na with Satan others wan take win before? |
olugabbie:Now, we are talking. West is it, not the US singly. That was what I was hoping he'd say. |
lhordspy:You surely will be tired of this kind of conversation 'cos you are just churning out conspiracy theories. Do you have proofs that the US is secretly influencing FIFA over the war in Ukraine? You don't just say something and expect people to gulp them in. Why the US? Why not Europe instead? That is my point. Of the nine FIFA presidents ever, 7 are Europeans. So, why aren't you saying that it is Europe that is secretly influencing FIFA and not the US? That is my point. I think that your assertion isn't fair on the US, especially since you haven't provided any proof. I only agree with what people say when there is clear rationality around what they've said. This isn't about going back and forth, or loving arguments. Looking at it from another angle, that FIFA never publicly allowed such supports from teams does not mean that it cannot change its stance in that regard. I don't really see how this involves the US. Why concoct a theory on the US while the current headship of FIFA is European? That is my question. |
lhordspy:Sorry, that doesn't add up. Don't even say it anywhere else... Politically how? And yet no accolades from FIFA that they politically influence over several decades or should I say centuries? How many times has the US even qualified for the World Cup? Of the nine FIFA presidents, including the current one from Switzerland, none is from the US, not even from North America; all are Europeans except for the Brazilian who preceded Blatter, also a Swiss. |
ImmaculateJOE:That is a genuine excuse, very genuine. That APC creation of a special PCC for women is their unique strategy towards an attempt to win the elections. If we are to analyse in a balanced manner, anyone would clearly see that, of the 4 main political parties, APC is the most woman friendly, on account of their creating a special PCC for just women. There is no such thing as main PCC. PCCs are designed for reaching out, organization and mobilization during campaigns. You percentage women representation computation doesn't cut it |
lhordspy:US-controlled FIFA? Haba, you misyan for there o. Why US never carry world cup, as dem dey control FIFA? |
Penguin2:Tinubu, Atiku and co....who are the co? Hope say you count Peter Obi join? |
juman:E pain am! Enemies of Nigeria. |
Allisgud:Which court convict am as drugs importer? Abi na carry talk? |
Anyenmoney:You use Peter Obi take spoil wetin you talk... Who go dash am 1 day as president of Nigeria, talkless of 2 terms? |
thesicilian:There is nothing to kid about there. Buhari has performed excellently, by any standard globally. Name any Nigerian president and their achievements and let's see if Buhari didn't trump him....I challenge you! Na today PDP start to use Zungeru hydropower dam dey milk Nigeria? I give it to Buhari anyday! |
