donleo92:I don't think it is because he is a party man that he is unwilling to leave the PDP. Fact is, there is simply nowhere else he can get the kind of recognition he is getting now. If he leaves, he's gone. Even in the PDP, once he leaves office, a lot of these people will distance him. Make e go ask Jonathan how far. |
Joshmoore:Petty bigotry will get you nowhere. |
beelon1020:Insecurity is terrible. Admittedly, Buhari can do much better. However, if it wasn't Buhari at the helm, it would likely have been far worse than we are witnessing. We have seen so many positives in the midst of all these. Thousands of residents from different Borno communities, once camped at various IDP facilities in the state, have returned to their homes, and importantly, their farms. This is very fundamental. The food crisis would have been unimaginable had this not happened. This is the singular most proactive, thoughtful, and beneficial thing that the FG has done, yet the least talked about or appreciated, and in fact, that effort has gone grossly unnoticed. We all can see the protests in Spain, including outrages over fuel and food costs in the UK, US and elsewhere. A country even invaded their seat of government and pursued their president out of the country. Thousands have been freed from the captivity of kidnappers and terrorists. All these are evident in the creation of an improved environment for development, which Gov Zulum is exploring. Zulum, today, is unarguably, Nigeria's best performing governor, particularly in terms of physical infrastructures; and also of course, we can see that the terrorists and bandits are no longer concentrated in Borno as before, but now scattered and taking advantage of states with 'weaker' security architectures. The governors have to sit up strongly, and work with the security agents and FG. We are now seeing respite in Anambra and Imo because of what the governors are doing. States have to make their territories red-hot and unhabitable for criminal elements. The insecurity is certainly a cumulative effect of bad leadership, over the past decades. It could even get worse with a next president, notwithstanding his best intentions and efforts. For me, I think that we should get to the fundamentals and quit the self-denials and pretenses. Parenting is at its lowest ebb. Religious, educational and community institutions have now become morally bankrupt, as quests for ill-gotten wealth swell. These are the main issues. What do you do as a parent when your 17 year old son suddenly comes home with a Mercedes GLK? How about a 16 year daughter who is still a student and without a job, but fends for her entire family? And the politician, within your neighborhood, who has acquired vast expensive properties at the expense of his people's welfare? What are the roles of society, families, communities etc, in all of these? Job creation is also at the root of all of this, but security has to be tackled appreciably for this to happen. |
Fahdiga:And you and Obi are what exactly? Tell him to account for Anambra LGAs fund. U don see una wey be saint.... |
jlinkd78:Highly celebral for saving billions of Anambra money in a bank where he is the dominant stakeholder, and in a grossly jobless economy? I no sure say you know yourself. |
Totilopussylick:Una sabi talk yeye talk o. Peter Obi was governor of Anambra, how better is the state today? Abeg, make we hear word jare. |
Fahdiga:You can't say that for a fact. It takes someone good to unravel another. What do you think? |
successmatters:Excellent leadership I must admit... Such that makes one deprive his people of leadership at the very most important level, the grassroot, by not conducting LGA elections nor accounting for LGA funds. Such that makes you save billions of your state's money in a bank, where you have a dominant stake, and in a jobless economy. Wow.....isn't that wonderful. What a golden man! |
Afamed:I am from Anambra but I have no choice than to agree with you completely. Anambra is overrated, especially when you look at the strides that Ebonyi state, in particular, has made within the past 8 years. When you also consider that it is Nigeria's smallest state, by landmass, after Lagos, I really think that no real, significant progress has been made. Perhaps, Obi and co, should go and see what Zulum has achieved in terms of infrastructures over just few years. |
Lazyreporta:You no sabi dem? Dem dey tell you say Adeboye supposed come out outrightly endorse Obi.... Their sense no tell dem say wetin Adeboye talk na the moral and right thing. If really Adeboye wan side person...no be Tinubu e suppose side? Tinubu na Yoruba like am. Tinubu wife na pastor sef for RCCG. Na Obi naim Adeboye's neutrality even favour pass....but him supporters brain never develop enough to understand am. |
Kaysalas:My brother, what will I gain from lying or hiding my identity? I am from Orumba North in Anambra state. My LGA borders Peter Obi's LGA, Anaocha, on one side at a town known as Nanka, very close to Ekwuluobia, which also happened to be the town where the late Prof. Dora Akunyili was from. Dora's husband, Dr. Chike Akunyili, also late now, hails from the same town, Agulu, as Peter Obi. Soludo comes from, not far from this axis as well, though another LGA called Aguata, which of course used to be my LGA, before it was split into three; namely Aguata, Orumba Noth and Orumba South ( where the popular waist whiner and singer, Flavour, hails from, Lol). Flavour is from a town called Umunze. All these towns and LGAs that I am mentioning are just few minutes, say 10 - 25 minutes drive from one another. Whether you are from Aguata, Orumba Noth or Orumba South, we are still bound by one strong bond known as the OAU, which means Old Aguata Union. |
TOMMYS:Link of the protest please. |
Softmirror:That's maturity. Who cares about the rants by immature bunch of social media fellows... It is simple...vote who you want, and stop talking nonsense about Muslim-muslim ticket. What did Obasanjo as a Christian achieve as president? His achievements are nowhere near 25% of what Buhari has put in place, in terms of critical Infrastructures. |
DontGiveUpYet:I am not a fan of Adeboye, or even religion. I must say this, Adeboye got it 100% this time. Vote who you want. You can't force people to do your bidding. Obi was my state governor for 8 years....can you list his landmark achievements? Was he able to conduct common LGA elections? Did he ever give account of how he expended LGA funds? Which wise leader goes about bragging about saving billions in a jobless economy? Muslim-muslim, Christian-christian, Muslim-christian, Christian-muslim.....all these are nonsense! |
Hi Amunethseranu:I am not a fan of Adeboye, or even religion. |
Wickedfact:This people wey dey talk no even sabi Peter Obi. We dey wait... Campaign go soon start. |
ceede2:Tribal sentiments, not love. |
successmatters:Just like the Anambra that he ruled for 8 years, and hijacked LGA funds by not conducting LGA elections, has now become Nigeria best state. Hurray! Let's celebrate! |
pleasureosondu:Muslims dey warm up too na... |
successmatters:Obi is not going to be Nigeria's president. Which salvation are you talking about? Is it the Anambra salvation of not conducting LGA elections or not accounting for LGA funds or embarking on shabby road construction projects that can't outlive an administration or saving billions of the people's patrimony in your private bank in jobless economy? Una juju no go ever work! |
sammysneh:This book wey una no sabi sef. Buhari is promptly intervening to salvage the situation through the Sports Ministry. These funds ought to have been made available by the NFF headed by Pinnick. Wetin be NFF president work? If your children never chop, na Buhari you go blame too abi? |
sammysneh:U dey ok so? U don leave Pinnick now na Buhari you wan blame.... |
Snapchat:Yeye talk! |
RingRoadMafia:Who post the picture of this man wey no fit account for LGA funds for Anambra for the 8 years wey him be governor LGA elections sef, him no conduct. |
kingamaa:Oga, leave our this 'our leaders matter....blame Pinnick directly. Let's stop hiding under 'our leaders' and covering grossly incompetent people. |
Snapchat:Yes |
Snapchat:Make e pain you well well... Una no go sabi anything until after Buhari leave office. |
StPete:E pain you? Na oyinbo people wey you dey worship talk am o. |
yefeola:Granted....he wasn't the president. Please, list his landmark projects as Anambra governor. Before you blow any lie...I am from Anambra state, and I know the state like the back of my palms. I am waiting.... Thank you. |
buckeyemedia:You are obviously not a deep thinker. How can the simple fact that Tinubu chose a Muslim running mate to serve with him for 8 years, if he emerges president, worry you?Whereas he has a christian as wife for over thirty years? Oga, it is in the same saner climes, UK, Spain, US, that people are protesting high costs of food, fuel etc, na Buhari dey rule dem too? Na your intelligence Tinubu abuse, not mine. As far as I am concerned, there is nothing wrong with a Muslim-muslim ticket. No be the same Tinubu wey you dey accuse of being selfish and self centered, make Ambode and Sanwoolu wey be Christians governors? Anyone that says that APC's performance is abysmal is a compound liar. That person must be very uninformed. I dare you, let's put the projects of this administration side by side with those of any other administrations before her. Major facelifts of the nation's airports, the Bonny-Bodo Bridge project, Warri-Itakpe Railway revitalization, Lagos-Ibadan Railway project, 2nd Niger Bridge project etc, eclipses everything done by the PDP administrations of 16 years. |
Anwons:Oga, go sidon. Muslim-muslim ticket is nothing. You guys should stop all this nonsense. When you eat yam or suya or fuel your vehicle with diesel or petrol, do you bother about religion, tribe or where it originates from? What about when you board a plane, train or taxi? Do you worry about the religion or ethnic affiliation of the person who takes you? There is nothing arrogant about a Muslim-muslim ticket, rather it is senseless to see something wrong with it. Tinubu's wife of over three decades is a Christian. I have been married for over ten years to a devout Christian myself, whereas I am absolutely non-religious. The lady I was initially engaged to be married to, wey dey form 'Holy Mary' and dey try to drag me to church by force....no be she I catch wey her ex dey still dey knack? Abeg, keep your religion for your pocket make we hear word. Why didn't any Christian shout 'blue murder' when Tinubu almost singlehandedly installed two christians, Ambode and current Gov. Sanwoolu, as governors of Lagos state? Issues like religion should never find a place where governance and leadership are being discussed. It is unwarranted, petty and divisive. |
