Olaide1295:
Hello everyone,
My friend is willing to be a driver partner for a car owner on uber or Taxify. He is a graduate mechanical Engineer, speaks English, lives in Lagos with his wife and child. I can assure you he is very honest, straight-forward and knows Lagos roads. The downside is this is his first attempt at Uber driving and he doesn't have an android phone. I will give him money to buy a phone once anyone agrees to work with him. He has a drivers license.
You can reach him on 08059851846 (call or text) or call me 08109753383.

@gazzuzz and everyone
I am very credible in the ecurrency business section on Nairaland.
How much is he willing to drop upfront for a solid Camry 04?

Yea the truth is bitter that's the reason you are so bitter about the upfront.

Is not your investment so quit this your stupid bully.

Some do upfront and it work for them.

Some dont and still succeed.

Leave the guy let him continue to rant.

Your business decision is your choice.

That's his business terms. If you can't accept quit bullying.

Plenty of drivers pay upfront with no complain.
Don’t mind the pained guy crying more than the bereaved.

Transportation business is total different from hiring. U pay upfront if u are to hire a car. And rentals is after usage.

Where did u hear that any type vehicle do pay upfront in this kind of business eg buses, tricycles, taxi on rentals pay at the end of each day, week or month.

Dont make it look like the upfront is the norms. When did u even start thinking of joining this business sef jjc
Nigerians and your twisted ways of running business, that’s why there are lots of issues in the country. Hire purchase, rental, lease mode of running any venture in any sector is the same, part of the problem is this absence of standard, if all partners insisted on same standard, then drivers will comport themselves. Keep redefining your own definition, there’s no qualms.

Bros if u mention assurance deposit for d group, nobody go answer u. Na only Nairaland wonders dey happen. If dem give u car for d group and u later mess up, nobody go give u car again
Anyway I don’t call it assurance deposit, I call it what it is: upfront rent, not arrears,or where do they pay rent in arrears in the world? Why others call it assurance deposit I don’t know. If you want to do rental arrangement for any asset, I think you have to pay that rent upfront based on your periodic arrangement. You won’t take a shop space and pay rent after you used it I believe you pay before usage. So people should call it what it is: rent and if it’s rent,it’s paid before using the asset: in this case the asset is the car.

i think its because majority of car owners here are always emphasizing on 'experienced drivers'... why not give new drivers the chance to proof their worth, dont forget that those experienced ones were once jjc, like me i havent seen any driver partner because i am new on the platform but i am ready to hustle....give me a trial pls, 07060509656
You are right though, the issue is the business terrain is tough and driving in Lagos is not for the faint hearted and if you have not been exploited by LASTMA or Police before you won’t understand how to deal with them, coupled with how to position yourself tactically and all that.
Where do you reside anyway and do you have 30k upfront rent?

I don’t know why drivers still worry themselves coming here to look for cars with assurance deposit when pple get cars easily elsewhere. I’m in about 10 different ehailing groups and d drivers there connect themselves to cars everyday without any deposit.
And besides........make I no talk again
And the story is still the same with partners complaining about drivers with terrible attitudes, isn’t it.

they are serious but 'seriously' looking for easy agreement that puts 100% in their pocket.. cheesy
Lol.

They don’t want to pay upfront, some want 20k weekly and I laugh. For common sense sake, you pay rent upfront and not in arrears.
BusinessRe: If You Are Uber Partner In Lagos, Please Share Your Experience Here by cooldood(m):
It seems there are no more drivers for e-taxi who are ready to do the do. You’d post available car here and requirements, then some drivers will chat you up and be begging, what the heck. There’s no need for such, if you are a serious driver and ready for the terms below for a solid Camry 2004, drop your WhatsApp contact:

Experienced driver
Upfront deposit
Weekly rental of 30k

Cheers

I got busted by police today taking a U-turn when the sign said no u-turn. I didn't see it until the police guys took me there. Who I want give story of the 5k I lost to them today.

Drivers are getting smarter getting their own vehicles now. Let soft loan with 20% interest be accessible to drivers and u will see that over 90% of drivers will dump their partners
First of all when you experience challenges on the road, your partner can only empathize with you but not necessarily ask you to take any losses from the agreed payment. See it this way, you rent a shop for business and pay rent monthly, you know you will go through all kinds of challenges making money from any business, but the landlord will still collect his agreed rent.

When you take bank loan to buy your car (just like some partners) you will know that whatever you go through, you must pay the monthly periodic installment cos bank won’t listen to any story. And by the way, bank will not just give you loan just like that without collateral. So if you tell story, they take and sell your collateral.

Hmm, bad market.
This is what these drivers need, public naming and shaming,in fact my friend and I think we should come up with a portal dedicated to these drivers (and also partners) to comment and rate these guys, so anyone in need of drivers/ partners can do a preliminary due diligence through the comments/ reviews posted.

Too many complains about drivers. It is one story or the other. Whether na 30k or 25k or is it 20k weekly that a friend gave his car out for, na still problems from drivers.

Please name and shame anyone that is messing up this ecosystem.

Hello,

It seems drivers now want partners to dash them their cars- if you want to do rental, i thought it’s common sense to pay the rental fee in advance rather than in arrears.

Anyway if you are a serious driver and wants a good car for Uber drop your WhatsApp contact here, Camry 2004 is available.30k weekly, mainland resident driver preferable.

Cheers.
PoliticsRe: Sowore Rejects PACT Result After Fela Durotoye Emerged As Consensus Candidate by cooldood(m): 7:50am On Aug 31, 2018
This is why even the so called youths of this country are not ready for progress or change. You did not issue any statement before the PACT election that you are no longer part of it, immediately the results are coming out/ finally out you now quickly withdraw. Same traits of desperate old cargoes. If the so called elders of this country are inept, and the youths can not organize themselves, then the country called Nigeria is doomed and set for perdition.

When someone like me analyzed the emergence of TSTV last year and categorically said they are not ready for real business and they will likely be kicked out soon, some people came for my head. Now almost 1 year after all the ill-timed announcement and poor preparation for war (a sector where there is a big monopoly player), it is one story or the other.

FamilyRe: Why Are Fathers Under-appreciated? by cooldood(m): 8:45pm On Aug 22, 2018
Most mothers manipulate their children while growing up telling them all types of lies that they are the ones fending for the kids. Then expectedly most people fall for their mothers’ gimmicks cos responsible fathers are always out there trying to make money for the family and therefore not so close to their kids. Except smart kids who give themselves brain to understand the manipulative tendencies of their mothers. As for me, I appreciate my dad more than mum cos I give myself brain even though am also close to mum. I implore fathers to create time for their kids so they value them when they grow up to counter any manipulation from these our female manipulators (my mum not excluded).

That's why poverty is a bastard, but poverty of the mind is worse. If you are not poor in your mind, you won't still show off. But because she's still poor in her mind, she needs to show off. Empty vessels make the loudest noise, thats why most africans are always noisy when they seem to achieve a little in life.

Backup/Contingency boyfriend- this is something i'll continue to regret not having, sometimes being 100% faithfull is'nt worth it at all.
The moment you decide to have a backup guy, it means he’s not your first choice and you’d never give your best to your main guy and I can assure you of this- the relationship will likely fail cos you have already set it up to fail with a second choice backup.
