My own take . Many are not financially literate and many skip or do not take marriage counseling seriously before entry into marriage. Marriage is a certificate given without taking the examination. Two are better than one when u marry right. Marry a friend who is willing to have ur back and willing to work or hustle and vice versa. Do not rush to have kids except time and health is not on your side and make sure both of your incomes can sustain the yourself , spouse and numbers of kids you can have. Family planning is key, so know the number of kids you and spouse can provide financially . planning is also key, cut your coat according to your size and avoid living an expensive life or chasing clout on social media. And if you are poor, stop having too many children

Matthew 5 vs 18 does not tell you that Jesus Christ wants you to obey the Old Covenant as that would amount to Jesus Christ sinning against God Almighty who declared that that Law is binding only to those who have have blood of Jacob flowing through their veins. - Deuteronomy 30 vs 15 - 20. undecided

God is not foolish and His decrees are all of them to eternity. So listening to a YouTube video instead of what God Himself said to you is a huge mistake to start with. undecided
I am not here to argue theology 201 or advance theology with you or which is that or which law should not apply or not , I am not a professor. I do not know everything and I am still learning. My point is that our society cannot continue in a corruption fashion with the numbers of churches we have in Nigeria. We are called to be light of the word and show Jesus Christ to the Lost. Our Christian brothers and sisters are being murdered in the Northern part of Nigeria by Muslim terrorists , yet there are not too many peeps are speaking out against such atrocity or such practice. Christians have to speak out against such injustice and evil , we have to encourage people to obey God commandment and to keep his commandment , repent and change with their ways and return to God. Accept Jesus Christ as Lord and savior

Kobojunkie:
1. The 10 comandments were never relevant to Christianity as Jesus Christ gave us a new set of laws altogether from the Old Law - that only applied to those who were born of the blood of Jacob. undecided

2. It's not a question of should the Old Covenant not be applicable today but a fact that it was never applicable to Christianity from the very beginning. undecided

3. Jesus Christ gave us a new set of laws , a standard different from that of the Old Covenant, so do not assume that laws which appear as part of the old also feature in in New Covenant. For one, the Old Covenant has 613 laws in total whereas the New Covenant has just about 60 or more laws, but significantly lighter burden than the Old. undecided

Honesty, fairness and kindness are very hard virtue to find in the Nigeria police force. With the high number of churches and mosques, you will think the police will listen and obey such preaching or teachings from alfa, pastors, but no . They arrest the innocent, harass ordinary motorists to pay up or get their vehicle siezed. If you have a matter that u need help, involving the Nigeria police will cost you your money. I wonder why is it so hard to find a honest policeman who is fair and does not want bribes.

Nigeria cannot be dependent on oil revenue and continue with bad electricity and infrastructure if we want to move forward. What has the message of the Gospel to do with what is written in the book of Exodus and Leviticus, books written for those who are under a different agreement as instituted by God Himself for His promise of the land of Canaan - Deuteronomy 30 vs 15 - 20? undecided

How can you move forward as own who claims to believe in Jesus Christ if you are not even able to differentiate the Old Wine/Covenant from the New Wine/Covenant since you continue to mix them both against God's very own commandment, this as taught us also by Jesus Christ? undecided
Is 10 commandments not relevant to the Christians today? Should the Old Testament not be applicable to Christianity today? Stealing is wrong both in the old testament and new testament

You see when you go to Murtala Muhammad Airport and major Nigeria institution , it seems everyone in power or has influence is there for bribery and looting. With the very high numbers of Churches in Nigeria, it appears that sermons preached on Sunday, Wednesday and Friday, Saturday and everywhere is not being practiced generally. The message of the gospel cannot be avoid if you stay in certain areas of Nigeria but it appears no one is even listen to a particular verse of Thou Shalt not steal. From the numerous police checkpoints who force ordinary citizens to pay or the car get seized or so citizen to the looting at national level- What happened to Christian taking a stand against such practise
467. Not to steal money stealthily (Leviticus 19:11)
468. The court must implement punitive measures against the thief (Exodus 21:37)
469. Each individual must ensure that his scales and weights are accurate (Leviticus 19:36)
470. Not to commit injustice with scales and weights (Leviticus 19:35)
471. Not to possess inaccurate scales and weights even if they are not for use (Deuteronomy 25:13)

480. Return the lost object (Deuteronomy 22:1)
481. The court must implement laws against the one who assaults another or damages another's property (Exodus 21:cool

There are many churches in the United States and even a mega church the size of a stadium in Texas. In fact , So the church is not the problem of a poor economy but the solution. Folks are quick to attack the church as a money grabbing center when no one has forced anyone to give generally. Nigeria economy is bad because there is widespread corruption from the grassroot level to the leadership level. If we stop blaming the church , stop collecting bribes , stealing or looting, obey the commandments of God and you will see positive changes in Nigeria.

Religion / Re: The Dangers Of Disobedience To God by cooltola(m): 3:07pm On Aug 02, 2021
You see if you continue with disobedience, you reap what you sow. The reaping of disobedience can be devastating in the long run and even creates unseen-able problems. We all champion Abraham as the father of faith, but imagine if he decided to ignore God and flat out disobey God. The same case apply to your life, failure to obey God just create unnecessary problems that can be avoided and prevent or delay you from reaping what God has for you. For you to obey God, you must first trust God and not lean on your own understandings. Some folks should have avoid certain troubles if only they just listen to simple instructions from the words of God. If you are weak and powerless , ask God to give help you out. God is ready to help at all time. Remember the Father in Heaven is rooting for you and want those who are disobedient to repent and changes their ways. The door is always open to repent before it is too late. Accept Christ as Lord and savior

Obedience is better than sacrifice - you have heard that before. It is more profitable to trust and obey the words of God than to listen to the enemy or even yourself. It will save you a lifetime of headaches when you obey . God knows what best for you and what is best for you. You can't know more than the Heavenly father. Learn from the example of David, Saul and countless other from the Bible. Disobedience reaps horrible consequences in the long run, it is only by great mercy of the Almighty Father that you are still standing and not consumed. Trust God by accepting Jesus Christ as Lord and Saviour.

Even God has stopped listening to any prayer coming out of that country. If you don't believe me how come things always seem to go from bad to worse in that country since 1960. With all the churches and mosques that exist in that place, all praying for the same thing. Not one prayer has ever made it through to God. Going to church is a therapeutic exercise for most Nigerians cheaper than going to a nut doctor

God has not stop listening to prayers, we are just disobedient, stubborn and reaping the consequences of widespread corruption and being one sided to our tribe generally Nigerian is reaping the seeds of corruption from 1960s today Those olopas who are suppose to be honest are corrupt and money hungry. Too many ogas at d top wan chop, no one is honest anymore, oil revenue is not enough and the society suffers.e.g Efcc is partial and only go after yahoo boys and the opposition party. Until we stop religious and start obeying God, being fair to justice without showing favoritism to corrupt politicians, then we can move forward as a nation. Obedience is better than sacrifice, God bless Nigeria.

We have many churches and mosque and many religious institutions in Nigeria, I wonder why honestly is not a common virtue in Nigeria police force. It is not as if policemen and women do not know what is wrong or what is right. I wonder if they are paying attention to what is being preached or taught in the mosques or churches. I have never met an honest policeman/woman in Nigeria in my life who does not force people to give them money. I look forward to meeting one

Innocent until proven guilty, Kyari does not need to write or explain himself on twitter- He needs to appear to court of law and plead his case- If the court find him innocent then he is free to go back to Nigeria and resume his police career and if he is proven guilty, then he should face the music. He cannot escape the FBI or the US Department of Justice. If USA can find Osama Bin Laden, then I am sure they will find him whether Buhari protects him or not, it is only a matter of time. He is a lawman so he should understand the process of court system with lawyers, prison and judges. You cannot escape justice period, you may escape justice on Nigeria and anywhere on earth but when it is the ultimate judgement day come before God- you are on own - Give your life to Christ and Let Christ pay for the wages of your sins
