Politics › Re: Who Is The Owner Of Nigeria by coputa(m): 5:11am On May 23, 2023
Nigeria is collectively own by Nigerians including you,no one person or ethnic group owns Nigeria.

Being opportune and wealthy doesn't make one the owner of Nigeria.Nigeria is a country, she's no ones fathers property.

All these people stealing the country's wealth will one day loose them to the children of the poor, who will wealthy when they are no more By then, their children will sell them.
Politics › Re: What I Learned From My Late Dad. by coputa(m): 12:46am On May 23, 2023
nabiz:
In summary, my late dad was not wealthy but was rich happy and fulfilled in his own way. He grew up in the city but came back to village after an accident that nearly take his life. He lost all his savings as a result of the accident.

My dad had on secondary school certificate but was very intelligent that many thought he was a university graduate.

He was a leader or a secretary in almost all the organizations in my village. This is because of his sincerity, the villagers alway insist the he should lead. He had opportunities of becoming a very wealthy man, because you can never become relevant in politics without visiting my dad. He will always reject money from politicians and tell them to go and use it for the betterment of our community.

The one that got me angry was when our speaker once introduced a governorship aspirant to my dad to hp him win elections in my community. The man brought hundred million cash to my dad. I was sitting in a poorly furnished living room with my dad smiling hoping that things has changed in my family. To my greatest surprise my dad sent for our community youth leaders and handed the money to them 100% to build a town hall which though was later named after him. My anger was that the money was not giving to the community. It was given to my dad though to be use to mobilize some important men in the community which he has a chance of taking 800 million from the money.

In my village the call my dad a crab because you can never eat it and close mouth. My dad will alway expose you if you plan evil with someone and he hears it.

When my elder sister wanted to contest for an election in my village, he came to my dad for a blessing, you will be surprised what my dad told her. My dad said" MAY GOD BLESS YOU AND MAY YOU SUCCEED IF YOU ARE GOING THERE TO BETTER THE LIF OF YOUR PEOPLE BUT IF NOT MAY YOU LOOSE.

We all hate my dad, especially me as a first son. My dad died driving all Benz, and living in his uncompleted building which he hope i will complete as a first son.

To shortten the story, we did not know the value of my dad. Sincerely I did not like my dad because of what I called his selfish interest, till the day he died. I never knew the meaning of the adage which said that good name is better than expensive oil, till the day of his burial. As a first son compiling his biography, I have the opportunity of reading all the biography people submitted. Almost everyone in my community wanted to tell his own story and encounter with my dad. Infact i could not publish everything the wrote because the program was getting bigger. Many acted drama about my dad.
I remembered how I was crying while reading his program as a first son. I never knew my dad was a great man till the day of his burial. The community really appreciated everything my dad did even till date respect we the children.

As a first son I was not close to my dad because of his character so couldn't learn much from him. I wish he is alive today and I wish I can become him. He is my hero. Rest in peace dad.
What did you learn from your late dad, that honestly pays,if so,what are fruits from his honesty.

Do you want to emulate him,by giving what belongs to you to other people when you have children.

It is a good feat, but know that you will never be rewarded by the people you served, you will get your reward in heaven.

I am not justifying corruption, but the society we found ourselves always promote and celebrate mediocrity. No wonder our leaders were never honest.
Jobs/Vacancies › Re: My Experience With A Lady I Hired And Fired Last Week by coputa(m): 11:46pm On May 22, 2023
EmekaStanley:
I hired a lady last week Monday and fired her on Friday same week. I concluded she was not ready yet.

This lady came almost 2 hours late for interview without communicating her reason. If she was going to be late, she should inform the interviewer. Red flag.

I ignored that and decided to proceed with the interview. I decided not to conclude on her based on the interview outcome. I love giving people chances.

I offered her the job, she was excited. She was sent an offer letter which she accepted. On resumption date, this lady came late for work. First day at work. I was like 'Is this 24 year old lady innocently naïve or what?".

On Friday last week, this lady came to work by 10.55am. He work time is 8.00am, and she is an office admin. I was on my seat and sighted her walking in, I had to call her and told her to go back home, and that was it.

By the way, she lives like 15 minutes away from the office, and her route is always against traffic.

I wouldn't know when she resumed from Tuesday to Thursday because I came quite late on those days due to field engagements. When I resumed, I met her sleeping twice. After that, she abandoned her work and stepped out to answer a phone call for almost 1 hour.

My experience with this lady made me understand that a lot of people looking for work are not ready for/to work.

ES
Time of resumption at job interview is part of it,She failed,on the day of the interview.i don't joke with it.Certifiate, dressing and appearance is at the back burner when conducting job interviews,I always look out for your character traits.

The guy that did the post is an Igbo guy. Don't blame Niger Delta because they are not the ones complaining, it is bad belle Igbos. U can't find them where others are celebrating. They only live with bitterness. Who told him that Yoruba does not have oil? What of Ondo, Ogun and Lagos? Hates have destroyed Igbos. That is why it is going to be difficult for igbos to rule Nigeria.
Yes,i know a Niger Delta cannot post that vindictive post. The Igbos are acting like wounded lion right now.

What's the logic of siting oil refinery in Lagos but the oil is produced in Niger Delta?
Is there no land in SS and What's the cost of transporting crude oil from Rivers state to Lagos..
My Niger Delta brothers Igbos are better than you people at least if the oil is located in SE nobody can try this shit
The same license they gave to Dangote was given to your Niger Delta brothers but they prefer to build Hotels and petrol stations.

Dangote choose Lagos for many reasons, militancy and collection of deve were some of the reasons he ran away from Niger Delta states

Please guys am seriously in confusion right now on what to do, I work in a tomato company in Kano state.

My supervisor who is related to the owner of the stole my money about 70k.

Now my confusion is if I should report him or not because he is our supervisor and the company only listens to him and not the other workers.

Am scared if I go ahead and report him I might end up being affected. They all speak housa which I don't.

It is only both of us in the office, yet he denied it. I don't have any other job yet

Please should what should I do?
That amount is a princely sum of money.Do you have a concrete evidence against him, what are you doing with that sum of money in your work place,if you have concrete evidence, then report him

But,on the other hand, don't you think you will be in his black book if you report him, since his brother listens to him, don't you think he might initiate a sack process against you.

If don't have a solid evidence against him, please let it be,if you are still interested in the job.

If it's cheaper why majority of Nigerians still using cooking stove and firewood.
Business › Re: Commissioning Of Dangote Refinery - (Live Video, Pictures) by coputa(m): 1:40pm On May 22, 2023
I hope kerosene will now be available, because it's only diesel and petrol that's imported into the country, that was why Buhari said all household must use gas cooker.

Majority of Nigerians cannot afford gas cooker,so, they now resort to cooking stove that uses kerosene, but the kerosene is not available, they now patronize locally produced products (black market)

The government should encourage the local refineries by granting them license to operate, this will make petroleum products cheaper and readily available, expecially kerosene.

Shame on our leaders,The petroleum ministry was under Buhari for eight years, yet no refinery is working. They are all gathered without any iota of shame to commission their(stooge) refinery.

Who are they deceiving, they crippled the nations four refinery to create room for Dangote refinery because they are stakeholders.

Okay, let's praise Peter Obi for the good job because he was the governor of Anambra state.

But when next ipob strike, we should blame Charles Soludo because he is the governor of Anambra state. Or, we can as well blame Tinubu because he is the president elect.
This is not a blame game, why don't you ruminate on why students in the south east, specifically Anambra state are always in the forefront; highest scores in jamb, highest scores in mathematics and now, another feat. There something that runs in their DNA.They need commendation and encouragement and not blames.

JungleJustice01:
Thanks to everyone for the input. The problem is my brother isn't so well to do financially. His salary is barely enough for him to survive and he's also an SS.

For this reason, we have been taking care of him from time past. When parents passed, I gladly left him all the funds, cars and all just to help. I still send him support time and again so it's kind of out of place to sit him down and start discussing legal terms, it'd look more like I'm trying to kick him out from getting anything anymore.

I also can't sell the house in it's current state. That will be most unwise business wise.

I'm considering dividing the house but is there any reason one half should be good and the other crumbling? How do I share fixing borehole, compound lights, entire roofing, replacing all windows and interlocking the compound?

I could easily leave the house in it's state and build mine but that's not a good legacy either.
R
What is even wrong in renovating a family house when you have the means, is it not a lifetime investment to the entire family.Does it stops you from building your own in future.

Since you have the fund, just do it without any string attached, considering your brothers condition.

Do not involve any lawyer or writing any agreement, this might generate distrust and animosity among you.

Somebody said the insecurity rate increased in the East because Obi lost election and I laughed. IPOB/UGM would have been more emboldened to overrun Nigeria especially the South if Obi had won.

Lack of political powers is hiding how much savage and domineering the Easterners can be. I lived among them for years.
Bitter truth ,give Igbo man power and you are finished, the Nigeria state and some western interest knows why they don't want an Ibo man to be president

Learn to take advice, Nigerians should learn not to wash their dirty linens among foreigners,it will still bounce back to you individually.

If you watch foreign media, they hardly show or expose their dirty sides, even,on their social media, they are somehow secretive.

Nigerians should always jettison this hate and tribalism that has eaten deep into their fabrics and join in the nation building. What the ordinary Nigerian is accusing our leader of, is what their also embroiled in.

babaYIBO:
I’ve been dating this girl since early last year when I was still serving and she’s really into me. She doesn’t bill me unless I purposely send her something. And we occasionally hangout a lot too.

By mid last year, I brought her home to meet my mum and some of my siblings. My mum likes her so much and she would spend time with me in our house.

I finished my service around September last year, and I started hunting for job. I was taking online classes etc..

So I got a job earlier this year, and the pay isn’t bad. Only my mum knows how much I’m earning and few friends. My girl doesn’t know.

Now, I’m likely to be getting a pay rise this month.

I’m also planning to get married to this girl next year, hopefully, she’s been a good girl even when I was jobless.

I don’t know if it’s okay to let her know my salary range. Although I’d not be telling her specifically the amount.

Is this a good idea?
Why are you obsessed in telling others your salary, to please them or what.Your salary is a joker that you must keep to your chest.

You are an adult Who should know how to spend and plan with his funds,

Nobody should know how much you are paid, even your parents including your siblings and your fiancee.

Statistics shows that women tends to squander money when they see it, it is wise and safer to keep it secret, but if she insist, then tell her a lower amount, probably half of your salary.

This is the reason our fathers kept their pay envelope in the office they never brought it home, this gave them rest of mind.

Some of these northern states that doesn't have a drop of oil with very small IGR and federal allocations are far developed the the over hyped Niger Delta states with huge IGR and federal allocations.

If the north has gotten oil in commercial quantities like the Niger Delta states, the north would have been transformed to Dubai.
