The leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu, has taken a swipe again at President Muhammadu Buhari whom he claimed has died and is being impersonated in Aso Rock.

In a live broadcast from Israel on Saturday (today), the IPOB leader who called the president an illiterate claimed that the real Buhari is dead and the person in Aso Rock is Jubrin, a look-alike of the president who comes from Sudan.

He said next month, IPOB will hold a meeting where he will reveal and provide evidence including pictorial proof to show that Buhari is fake as he alleged that the president died in Saudi Arabia.

He said the Nigerian cult government gave him strict bail conditions so he won't be able to talk or speak his mind which he refused to do and that's why they decided to kill him and shut him up permanently.

The IPOB leader once again hailed past governor of Ekiti, Ayodele Fayose and Femi Fani-Kayode for always standing up against the president and always criticising him.

He blasted the Arewa consultative forum whom he claimed pressured the Ohaneze Ndigbo to do something about him when his popularity was growing in Nigeria. He also heavily criticised the South east governors, Ohaneze Ndigbo and other Igbo leaders who he said helped in proscribing the IPOB group as a terrorists sect.

He also spoke on Aisha Buhari who said last year that Nnamdi Kanu took advantage of the president’s absence to carry out his activities.

Mrs Buhari while speaking at the presidential villa in Abuja said the absence of the president created a setback, that the IPOB leader leveraged on.

“As a result of the president spending several months outside Nigeria, a 40-year-old man who was still living in his father’s house created a state out of a state and that is a major set back for the country and the health sector did not benefit,” she said.

Nnamdi Kanu also blasted the Abia state governor, Okezie Ikpeazu and others whom he claimed planned his obituary. He claimed the governor received stolen items from his house by the military.

Nnamdi Kanu also said that IPOB needs freedom because they cannot be slave to the Fulani people.

In Malawi, a Catholic priest having fun with lady at the beach has generated mixed reaction across the social media, after the photo went viral in the country.

The priest identified as Rev. Fr. Charles Mukhalira Chiuta Dhlovu of Mzuzu Diocese in Malawi was pictured enjoying his time with his colleague named Grace Mwiwa.

According to reports, the priest is in charge of the Church radio station called Tigawane radio while Grace Mwiwa is one of the presenters who recently got promoted to administrative job.

It was gathered that the radio station organised a party at beach where the priest was seen having a swell time.

However, the viral picture has divided internet users as some say the priest didn’t do anything wrong because he’s human and allowed to have fun while others have argued that the way he handled the female colleague at the beach in his half-naked state can lead to his downfall if he’s not careful considering the oath of celibacy.

The Catholic Diocese of Mzuzu have not reacted to the trending photos and it is not certain if disciplinary actions will be taken against the priest.

American hip-hop trio Takeoff, Quavo and Offset of
Migos are being sued by another rapper over their hit song “Walk It Talk It,” claiming they stole the song from him.

According to court documents obtained by The Blast, rapper M.O.S. whose real name is Leander C. Pickett
claims he recorded a song entitled “Walk It Like I Talk It” in 2007 and copyrighted the track in 2018.

Pickett says he released his song on a mixtape entitled “It’s Like a Movie,” with DJ Folk .

In January 2018, he says he learned about the Migos' song which was on their third album, “Culture II.”

He accused them of never having his permission to use his track and is demanding an injunction against Migos from continuing to profit off his work.

M.O.S. wants the band to turn over all money they made and is seeking unspecified damages.

A judge was so shaken by footage of a paedophile raping a two-year-old girl that she adjourned the case for three days.

Convicted child rapist Jason Daron Mizner was supposed to be sentenced in the Brisbane District Court on Tuesday but it was put off until Friday.

Justice Leanne Clare said she viewed a portion of one of the dozens of rape tapes and found it ‘very confronting’, and needed a break to ensure a fair sentence.

‘I think it would be best to put some distance between the viewing of that tape and the delivery of the judgment so that it does not overwhelm the sentence,’ she said.

The prosecution wants the 44-year-old jailed for life over the more than 60 child sex crimes towards the toddler he has pleaded guilty to.

His vile acts dating back to the early 2000s included more than 30 counts of rape and videotaping the assaults.

Mizner’s lawyers argued his sentence should be reduced because he suffered ‘torture’ the last time he was in prison for a different crime.

The paedophile spent years in a Thai jail for a separate sexual assault of another young child and they claimed the abuse there should be taken into account.

‘He received beatings and other torture, partly in relation to [the Australian] offending,’ Mizner’s lawyer said.

‘The Australian Federal Police gave evidence at the [Thai] hearing about the Australian offending, so it’s not much of a stretch that inmates in Thailand would have known.’

Justice Clare disputed that just because Mizner had a difficult time in a Thai jail that he should have his potential sentence reduced.

The court was told Mizner, who was 31 at the time of the assaults, formed a relationship with the Australian girl’s mother, before committing the offences over a number of months.

While he was on a holiday in Thailand, the girl’s mother found videos he had made and a range of other unrelated child exploitation material.

Mizner stayed in Thailand, where he formed a relationship with a local woman before assaulting her young daughter and being arrested by Thai authorities.
He served 11 years of a 35-year sentence and was deported when released on bail last year, with Australian authorities arresting him when he returned to Brisbane.

It’s the second time sentencing has been delayed, after a delay in September, when a doctor preparing a psychological report for the court suffered a heart attack.

Reports reaching us says that the Director of Strategy and Documentation of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, Olisa Mbakwe on Monday announced that its leader, Nnamdi Kanu has been fired from the group for placing more value on his dog than those murdered in the struggle for the realization of Biafra.


Speaking during Sunday’s broadcast from his base in Israel, Kanu mourned his dog and “a few other people” in his compound, who lost their lives when military men invaded the place in September 2017.


Kanu had said during the broadcast, “The Army of the zoo killed my dog Jack and a few other people in my compound. I am sorry for what my sureties are passing through, but I want to assure them that they will have a special place in Biafra. I shall not be honouring the court.”


Reacting, Mbakwe described Kanu as an “insensitive and callous leader that has no value for his own followers but rather his dog, Jack whom he paid tributes to after his long disappearance from the struggle”.
In a statement he personally signed, Mbakwe, of IPOB, also insisted that Kanu was a “traitor not worthy of any leadership position anywhere in the world”.


He stated that Kanu was removed for reasons which included, “personalisation of the Biafran struggle and derailing from the core objectives of IPOB as a grassroots movement”.


The statement read:

“On Sunday, October 21, 2018, an individual, Mazi Nnamdi Nwanekaenyi Kanu, claiming to be the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) and Director General of Radio Biafra made a live broadcast that has left us perplexed, because it is unthinkable that someone will impersonate IPOB to the point of plotting to abuse the organization to hurt the interest of Biafra.


“The strength of the Republic of Biafra that we are struggling to actualize, is in its human resources as embodied in our versatile youths that dominate the fields of play across sectors of human endeavor; the country we have set our vision on creating is therefore not to be made up of tombstones but of people fulfilling their life missions as ordained by God.


“Nnamdi Kanu relinquished his position as the leader of IPOB struggle the day he deserted our members to die, when they had mobilized to stand for our belief in Biafra at his residence in Afaraukwu. Several of our members were injured and some died in that encounter and even after emerging from hiding more than one year later all Kanu could do was to desecrate their memory with his radio broadcast.

Nnamdi Kanu vividly, specifically and particularly recalled his family dog, Jack, by name while he dismissed our members that died as mere statistics — he only recalled them as 28 IPOB members.
“Even if Kanu had not deserted, there is no way we would have continued under the leadership of a man that values his family dog more than Biafrans.


“We are not unmindful of how Kanu struck the deal that granted him bail in the first place while abandoning our members, Benjamin Madubugwu, David Nwawusi, Bright Chimezie Ishinwa and Chidiebere Onwudiwe to languish in jail. Instead of using his freedom to accelerate the freedom of these authentic freedom fighters, he rather went about Biafra land receiving obeisance from Biafrans like a monarch, when our dear land is completely republican. The travails of these our brothers are not over yet and might have been worsened by Kanu’s live broadcast, which has totally upset us.


“In line with the decisions earlier announced on Radio Biafra on November 17, 2017 that Mazi Ezenwachukwu Sampson Okwudili is the new director for the radio, we reaffirm that Mazi Nnamdi Nwanekaenyi Kanu remains sacked as the Director of Radio Biafra and has also been removed as the leader of IPOB since he has proven he is not a worthy leader that respects the sanctity of the lives of our members.


“Following interventions by our leaders, considerations were being made to reverse the earlier announcement but after studying the Kanu’s live broadcast from Israel we came to the painful conclusion that we cannot make progress with our vision of Biafra, when one man has completely personalized and commercialized the struggle. The decision to drop Nnamdi Kanu from playing leading roles in IPOB affairs is hereby upheld. We shall announce replacements after consultations with the various stakeholders.”

The palace said he married the woman because of the spiritual strength she will bring to the kingdom and the fear of God in her.

“Necessary rites fully performed,” the statement read.

A female long-tailed macaque had climbed onto the holiday maker’s knee first, and her friends, who thought it was cute, pulled out their cameras to film the moment. Then, suddenly, a male monkey joined her and shamelessly made his move.


Thankfully, a tour guide came to the shocked tourist's rescue and threw some food at the monkeys, which distracted the male and caused him to leap off.

The International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC), has officially announced that its aid worker, a 24-year-old Nigerian midwife Hauwa Mohammed Liman who was captured by Boko Haram in May has been killed by her abductors.


Reuters, in an updated report, revealed that Red Cross said this on Tuesday, October 16, during an interview session with Patricia Danzi, its regional director for Africa saying the death of Hauwa was because it failed to pay her ransom, adding that paying such a ransom would set a regrettable precedent for other 16,000 of its aid workers across 80 countries in the the world.


However, the Geneva-based aid agency said that though it was reluctant on paying Hauwa's ransom, it appealed to the the Islamic State in West Africa (ISWA), a faction of Boko Haram, to spare the life of the valiant aid worker.
“When health care workers are captured or abducted there is always a demand. We are a humanitarian organisation so we cannot enter into such kind of negotiations. So we always ask for unconditional release. And that’s what we did. That was the plea.


We believe that there is no cause that can justify an execution of a young healthcare staff (worker). We are now in a period of mourning...Then we will have to rethink what we can do. And the (security) guarantees we can get. Because we want to give humanity a chance, we want to be there for the people that still need our help.”


Nigeria is the ICRC’s second largest operation in Africa and its aid workers help 80,000 mainly displaced people in the northeastern town of Rann. Liman and two other Nigerian aid workers, Alice Loksha and Saifura Hussaini Ahmed Khorsa, were working in Rann when they were kidnapped by ISWA in March. Saifura was killed in September.

Recall that a few months ago, a Nigerian lady, Gift Mike, was arrested and taken to the State Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Department, SCIID, Yaba to answer questions bordering on the death of her South African lover, Daniel Grant, at a hotel on Victoria Island area of Lagos.

The deceased, as gathered, checked into a hotel on Sinatu Daranijo Street, in the company of his girlfriend, Gift. Thereafter, they went to PAT bar, in Victoria Island to wine and dine before returning to the hotel at about 1.30 am. However, management of the hotel, as well as other lodgers, were jolted from sleep by an alarm raised from one of the rooms.

The hotel manager, Abdul Ismail, who rushed to ascertain what the matter was, found the dangling body of the South African in the toilet, consequent upon which he alerted policemen at Maroko division.
There is, however, a twist in the incident, as an investigation by the Police has shown that it could be a case of murder and not assassination as suspected.

The gubernatorial candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Rivers State, Tonye Cole, is in trouble for skipping the mandatory National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) scheme. Sources close to the stylish businessman-turned-politician said he is struggling to get the NYSC to help him out with the problem.

The Lagos-based billionaire emerged APC’s gubernatorial candidate for 2019 during the party’s primary in Port Harcourt on October 1. Lawal Isa, Chairman, Rivers State APC Governorship Primary Election Committee, had said Mr. Cole got 3,329 votes to beat other aspirants.

According to him, Dawari George, a former aide to Rotimi Amaechi, scored 491 votes to come a distant second. Dumo Lulu-Briggs, another business mogul who stood the election, secured 38 votes while a serving Senator, Magnus Abe, got a single vote.

With only WASC and a testimonial from King’s College attached to his forms, it seemed Mr. Cole, for some undisclosed reasons, deliberately omitted his degrees as contained in his public profiles.

While he failed to indicate his tertiary education qualifications, the APC candidate sumptuously showcased the training he has attended across the globe and the many papers he has presented and positions he has occupied. But findings showed Mr. Cole went straight to King’s School, Ely, Cambridgeshire, the United Kingdom after he left King’s College, Lagos at age 16.

He is also said to be an alumnus of the University of Lagos and Universidade de Brasilia, Brazil, where he was graduated with merit honours in Architecture. Curiously, information regarding his tertiary education and the record of his compulsory NYSC participation are all absent in the document he filed with his party and INEC. Given his family background and the age he completed his primary and secondary education, it is very clear Mr. Cole got his first degree before he was 23.

The one-year service, organized by NYSC is compulsory for all Nigerians who graduate from universities or equivalent institutions at less than 30 years of age. Apart from being a prerequisite for obtaining government and private sector jobs in Nigeria, the NYSC Act prescribes punishment for anyone who absconds from the scheme or forges its certificates. For instance, eligible persons, who skipped the scheme, are liable to be sentenced to 12 months imprisonment and/or N2, 000 fine, based on Section 13 of the NYSC law. In Section 13 (3) of the Act,
a three-year jail term or option of N5,000 fine is prescribed for anyone who contravenes the provisions of the law. Subsection 4 of the same section also criminalizes giving false information or illegally obtaining the agency’s certificate. It provides for up to a three-year jail term for such offenders. The APC chieftain would not pick calls or respond to text messages from this newspaper.

However, when contacted, on one of his allies, Tonye Princewill, said Mr. Cole could not speak on the issue because the party was yet to set up a campaign structure for the 2019 polls. All of Mr. Cole’s public profiles show he had tertiary education in Nigeria and in Brazil but none indicates the dates of his graduation.

ZENITHNAIJA could not also extract any record of where he served in any of such profiles, some of which have been edited recently. Attempts to speak with the NYSC spokesperson, Adenike Adeyemi, failed as her line was unreachable and text message to her phone was not replied. But a senior staff of the scheme, who could not be named because he is not authorized to speak on the matter said the NYSC has no record Mr. Cole served or was offered an exemption.

A South Carolina woman is on trial for allegedly abducting her husband’s lover. She also reportedly forced her spouse to get her own name tattooed above his crotch as payback for cheating.

Tammy Moorer is accused of conspiring to kidnap 20-year-old Heather Elvis, who mysteriously vanished in December 2013 from Myrtle Beach, after she had a sexual relationship with her husband, Sidney Moorer. Nearly five years later, the young hostess hasn’t been found and is presumed dead.

Tammy Moorer is standing trial for the kidnap of Heather Elvis. Testimony in the kidnapping trial against Tammy Moorer revealed Monday that the jilted wife was overheard explaining the bizarre "punishment" to her 38-year-old husband, Sidney Moorer for cheating on her.


Prosecutors contend Tammy became vindictive after discovering the affair between her husband and Heather Elvis in October 2013 and hearing rumours about the possibility that Elvis was pregnant.
Jacob Melton, who was friends with one of the Moorers’ sons, testified Monday that Sidney got Tammy’s name tattooed on his lower waist when she learned about the extramarital affair.

"If you didn’t have that thing with that girl, this wouldn’t be happening," Tammy allegedly told her husband, according to Melton’s testimony.
As the trial entered its seventh day Monday, Elvis’ former employer also provided testimony.
Dennis Clark, a former manager at the Tilted Kilt, the bar where Sidney performed maintenance work and met Elvis, said Tammy demanded on the phone that the hostess be fired or her husband wouldn’t continue to do repairs.

Clark claimed the conversation occurred sometime between October and December 2013.
Clark told the court:
Tammy barged into the conversation and proceeded to tell me how Heather was causing problems for her family, spreading rumors that she was pregnant by her husband and [said] to fire her.

The defense team maintained Monday that the evidence in the trial shows there was an affair but doesn’t indicate that Tammy played any role in Elvis’ disappearance.
Both Tammy and Sidney have been charged in connection to Elvis’ case. The pair initially faced murder and kidnapping allegations in 2014, but two years later the murder charges were dropped.
Sidney was tried last year on the kidnapping charge, but the proceedings ended in a mistrial when the jurors couldn’t come to a unanimous decision. No future date has been set for his retrial.

In 2017, he was sentenced to 10 years in prison for obstruction of justice in the case.

Gabriel Segun Ajayi, a 32-year-old Nigerian married to a 50-year-old Russian woman died of a massive heart attack at a dance club last Friday night, October 12, in the city of Cherepovets, about 500 km north of Moscow.

Russian investigators have launched a preliminary probe into reports of Ajayi's death, saying that the cause of death would be determined after a forensic examination.
Earlier, the official portal of the city of Cherepovets, Russia reported that Ajayi had died of a heart attack at a local nightclub.
The Nigerian Embassy in Moscow said that it is looking into reports about the Nigerian national's death.

Ajayi and his wife, rural Vologda region resident Natalia Vedenina, had earlier captured the attention of Russian daytime talk shows with their romance, due both to the 18 year age difference between them and the unusual story of a reported Nigerian prince agreeing to move to rural Russia to be with his wife.

Ajayi met Natalia on the internet in 2012, with neither speaking the other's language; they communicated through an online translator.
Natalia's 22-year-old eldest son was apprehensive at first, concerned that the romance may have been some sort of scam.

However, Gabriel turned out to be real, and in 2016, Natalya flew to Nigeria, where Ajayi proposed. After marrying, the couple moved to Russia, and in 2017, Natalia gave birth to twin boys.
After coming to Russia, Ajayi began learning the language and started working as a tractor driver and local IT specialist.

"I would spend days on the internet, and wasn't phased by the color of his skin or his age, nor the fact that he was from a completely different culture," Natalyia said in a talk show."

"The more I got to know him, the more I realized that this was my man, who could feel and understand me, how I feel, even without words."
Natalyia was devastated by the news of her husband's death.
"Gabriel had a massive heart attack, he collapsed and died. He wasn't on any medications. My husband didn't have any complaints about his heart. I was informed two hours after it happened…Our children are just babies –they are just a year old, they don't understand anything yet," she said.

Ajayi will be buried in the city of Cherepovets to be closer to his widow and his children. His mother lives with the rest of the family in a nearby village, and is assisting in nursing the children.
The rest of Ajayi's family aren't likely to attend the funeral due to the distance and difficulties in obtaining a visa on such a short notice, according to local media.

The police in Lagos state have arrested a 22-year-old married woman, Sulyiat Badmus, for stealing her boss, Shukurat Opeoluwadu's five-month-old baby in the Odoguyan area of Ikorodu in the state on September 27th.

Parading the suspect before newsmen in the state command's headquarters today, the commissioner of police, Edgal Imohimi, said the suspect had applied to be an apprentice at the toddler's mother's shop. Edgals said Sulyiat whisked the baby away when she noticed the neighbor, a 50-year-old woman, whom the mother left the child with so she could go hawk the local herbs she sells, became distracted.

“Sensing that Amosun was busy outside her room, the suspect sneaked in and stole the baby. She absconded thereafter. After directing the anti-kidnapping squad to take charge of the matter, investigation led to the arrest of the suspect at Sabo in Ikorodu.

The baby was rescued from her and has been reunited with her parents. The suspect has confessed to the crime and on conclusion of investigation, all persons involved in this dastardly act will be prosecuted.“ Edgal said
When interrogated, Sulyiat said she had been married for some years now without a child of her own. According to her, a herbalist had told her she will never conceive and that led to her being desperate to have a child. She blamed the devil for her act and asked for forgiveness.

American students can now get a certificate in ‘Trumpaganda, as the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign begins a course on the subject.

According to a report by TheHill, students will examine Trump’s “war on facts, press and democracy,” during the eight-week course. The class will be offered through the university’s journalism program.

“As a candidate, Trump employed the most common propaganda device, name-calling, to define, degrade, discredit and destroy his primary opponents as well as the “fake” news media,” the course description reads.

Mira Sotirovic, associate professor in media, is teaching the class, and told the Daily Illini that students will look at President Trump’s strategies for dealing with the press to look how propaganda can exist in a democracy.

“Propaganda is effective only if it is concealed and camouflaged as something else, such as news, advertisements or PR releases, and it is critical to learn how to detect propaganda and recognise propagandistic features of any communication, including presidential,” Sotirovic told the paper.

A Muslim woman who tried eloping with her Hindu lover, was tied to a tree for 5 hours and flogged for bringing dishonour to the village after her family managed to track her down.

The 19-year-old girl who is said to be the daughter of Mohammad Farid Ansari, eloped with her lover Rupesh Kumar from Jogiya Maran Village in north east India. It was gathered that she has been dating her Hindu lover for more than 18 months, and told reporters that she was “ready for any punishment”.

“I love the boy and will marry him come what may. “I don’t believe in castes or religions. “I am 19-year-old and can well decide whom I should marry, whom I should not,” she asserted.
Her relationship was forbidden and her family managed to find her after contacting her lover, according to reports.

The Muslim woman was punished for bringing dishonour to the village by the village council, and she was tied to the tree and whipped. Though no arrests was made in relation to those who tied her up as no complaint was filed, it was further learnt that her father told reporters that he had asked his daughter to introduce him to her partner but she had refused.

Former Minister of Education and presidential candidate of the Allied Congress Party of Nigeria (ACPN), Oby Ezekwesili, says former Vice-President and PDP presidential candidate in the 2019 election, Atiku Abubakar, cannot effect the change Nigeria needs to progress if he is given the opportunity.
