A North Carolina Man punched a stranger after an SEA Wireless store, last week, in Lincolnton after the stranger was busted staring at the girlfriend's butt..

Surveillance footage from the store captured a guy in a red shirt taking a glance at the woman while he was leaning on the counter.. The woman's boyfriend called him out for his wandering eyes and he admitted to doing it with a laugh.

That enraged the man, who punched the stranger in the face, knocking his red hat off his head. The man stumbled back, picked up his hat and left the store while the other man casually returned to the counter to continue his transaction with the clerk..

The man's girlfriend asked the worker not to call the cops and ordered her protective boyfriend to apologize to the stranger. He then went outside to find the man and apologized

A housewife identified as Harriet Nassali, has been arrested by the Ugandan police for reportedly beheading her husband, Siraje Kavuma, and digging a grave in their matrimonial bedroom with the intention of burying him. The lady who made efforts to dig a grave inside their master bedroom, however was only able to dig as deep as 3 feet.

On realizing the complexity of her gruesome action she decided to flee her home. Her terrified 13 year old child decided to alert the neighbours, narrated what had transpired thus immediately calling for police intervention.

Luke Owoyesigyire, Kampala Metropolitan Area police spokesperson who spoke to newsmen, disclosed that the incident happened over the weekend at Lwesubo Buwambo village. It was further gathered that the couple’s daughter, alleged that her mom had always threatened to kill her husband whenever they had misunderstandings.


“They had an argument over a piece of land prompting Nassali to pick a machete and cut Kavuma’s head, killing him instantly,” Owoyesigyire said.


One of the children also gave information about a male friend, who had grown so close to their mother days before their father was hacked to death. The male friend identified as Alex Kamusangi then led a group of investigating officers to Nassali’s hideout and both were arrested.


Further inquiries reveal that the deceased and his wife previously had misunderstandings, as a result of a land procurement deal gone bad resulting in their separation. Close family friends also revealed the bitter history of how the deceased had given his wife 27 million Ugandan Shillings to buy a plot of land, however, she used the money for something else.


The deceased’s body has since been transported to Mulago Mortuary for post-mortem, and the two suspects detained at Mattuga Police Station vide 08/12/08/2018 as investigations are on-going. The police also assured that they will be arraigned in court, after their investigation is concluded.

The Edo State Governor, Godwin Obaseki, has denied reports that he said huge debts left behind by the immediate-past administration of Adams Oshiomhole was hindering the work of his administration.

Obaseki said that the reports were false and fabricated, as none of the media houses that reported the story over the weekend could provide any proof, either by voice recording or signed statement, to show that he made the comment.

According to him, those behind the story were only out to deceive Edo people and achieve a predetermined end.

He said, “The report is the figment of the imagination of the individuals who published it. The publication goes a long way to show how much the noble journalism profession has been invaded by people who do not have any training what so ever to do the job.

“The Edo State Government under the leadership of Obaseki is not hindered by debt obligations. All our projects are being undertaken as planned and the terms of our facilities from the World Bank and the Federal Government are liberal with repayment period of over 20 years.

“As chairman of the Economic Team, under former governor Adams Oshiomhole, Obaseki negotiated most of these concessionary loans from International Development Agencies (IDAs).

“Thankfully, we have roads and other infrastructure to show for these facilities across the state today.

“The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) that ruled the state for close to a decade ran the state aground as Edo infrastructural facilities were in a state of decay as at the time Oshiomhole-led interventionist administration took over power.

“Edo roads were called ‘Lucky Stones’, a metaphor for the shoddy road patchwork done by the then PDP administration, using oversize stones. Some roads were ‘constructed’ on paper, but were not constructed in real life.”

Some photos shared online by the Independent National Electoral Commission, have revealed what its officials go through for the success of elections.


As part of efforts to ensure that more Nigerians participate in the Continuous Voter Registration (CVR) exercise before the August 14 deadline, officials of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), have crossed a river to reach the Taraba hinterland.


This was to enable INEC to reach eligible voters in Kurmi Local Government Area in Taraba State.
According to a tweet via INEC's official handle, @inecnigeria, the officials were pictured carrying a motorcycle, as they waded across the river.


The tweet read:

"The registration officers of Kurmi Local Government Area crossing a river to enable them get into the hinterland for the last lap of the Continuous Voters Registration in Taraba State."


Although there have been calls for INEC to extend the deadline for registration, the reference to "last lap" in the recent tweet by INEC, indicated that the deadline may not be extended.

A popular cleric has released a damning prophecy about the future of Nigeria, specifically touching on its impending break-up.

Primate Elijah Ayodele of INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, Lagos, has revealed the year Nigeria will split and according to him Nigeria as a united nation may not exist beyond 2035.


He made the claim during the recent launch in Lagos of ‘Warning To The Nations’, a book in which he compiled all his prophecies covering the 2018/2019 period, The Herald reports.
The cleric also called for the suspension of the 2019 general election in Nigeria.


Primate Ayodele, who was speaking on the solution to Nigeria’s myriad problems, said, “Practice True Federalism, whereby states will be in charge of their own affairs, taking care of their resources and their people. Let there be no election in 2019. After Federalism, Nigeria will not exceed beyond 2035 before splitting.”

Suspected bandits have killed four policemen in Jankasa village, Rigasa, Igabi local government area of Kaduna state.

The policemen, were said to be on their way for an operation in the area when they were ambushed around 7pm on Saturday.

The bandits were said to have engaged the police in a fierce gun battle, leading to the death of the deceased officers.

Yakubu Sabo, spokesman of the Kaduna state police command, confirmed the incident in a text message.

He said the officers killed were of the inspector-general of police (IGP) intelligence rapid response team (IRT).

“At about 0630hrs of Saturday, a team of detectives attached to IGP IRT while on operation along Jankasa village of Rigasa Kaduna, were ambushed by armed bandits.

“After a fierce gun battle, four of our policemen paid the supreme sacrifice.”

According to him, a reinforcement was mobilised to the area, with the view to bring the perpetrators to book, but no arrest has been made yet.

Wole Soyinka, Nobel laureate, has challenged former President Olusegun Obasanjo to swear that he never awarded oil blocks in return for sexual gratification while he presided over the affairs of Nigeria.
Soyinka spoke in his Interventions VIII series, titled: ‘Quis Custodiet Ipsos Custodes?’ meaning “Gani’s Unfinished Business,” launched recently in Lagos, south-west Nigeria.
He said Obasanjo knows him so well that he does not make accusations lightly and that he despises snide insinuations.
“I now challenge you (Obasanjo) to search your soul, very deeply, and swear to this nation that you never awarded oil blocks in return for sexual gratification,” Soyinka said.
“I do not make accusations lightly and I despise snide insinuations. I believe you know me well enough. And I am no prude, I am not a hypocrite of sexual desire, nor am I interested in the seamy side of Power. Take your time, think deeply and remember that each day brings you closer and closer to your Maker and the Day of Judgment-going by your own professions.”
Soyinka made reference to a letter written to Obasanjo by Abubakar Umar, in which the former military governor accused Obasanjo of awarding oil block indiscriminately and illegally.
The literary scholar said sex-for-grades as a solution to burdensome energy seemed to have become the practice, saying that even when Donald Trump and Bill Clinton were accused of sexual misconduct, no one ever accused them of using their nation’s assets for a romp.
“If I denounce you (Obasanjo) as a degenerate in need of help, remember that I do not require fiction,” he said.
“Verifiable truth is solemnly at my disposal. I do not concoct a thousand snipers for a thousand listed enemies of governance-one of the most impudent egregious fantasies ever manufactured by a former ruler, simply to destroy a successor and persuade oneself that one is a maker and breaker of governments.”
Soyinka also said during Obasanjo’s celebration of the 10th anniversary of his presidential library, the former president accused him of blocking his ambitions to become the secretary-general of the United Nations.
“Could someone please stop crediting me with that level of international clout? Of course, I feel totally content and fulfilled with my contribution to that operation to ‘save our world’ from the clutches of a predator, sadist and liar-convincing evidence of which we provided in our successful diplomatic offensive-but the umbrage should also go to that very Femi Falana and the late Beko Ransome-Kuti, with whom I worked in close collaboration,” he said.
Soyinka also said that under Obasanjo’s watch, and with proven collaboration, an elected governor was kidnapped, locked in a toilet and held there under duress to force him to sign cheques on the state treasury, saying that “he escaped confinement, thanks to a sympathetic policeman , but the state went up in flames. The state radio and television houses were torched. The house of assembly and the law courts—my own special preserve-were vandalized. Who did you say was president at that time?”

A woman narrowly escaped death after her gas cylinder exploded at her home yesterday in Kano.
Blessing Nkoyo Emmanuel said the gas cylinder exploded as she tried to turn it off after cooking at home. Blessing said her clothes and weave immediately caught fire after the explosion but she managed to escape from the house before the roof caved in.
The Nurse, who is from Eket in Akwa Ibom, suffered injuries, but nothing life-threatening.

On struggles getting into music: I would say I was one of the lucky ones, the first time I ever recorded and dropped that got big, that was the first song I ever recorded, started blowing up.
On being recognized worldwide: Lucky for me I started when I was like 16, I’m 25 now so it’s been a while but now it’s like, everybody’s looking at Africa, everybody’s interested in whatever Africa’s doing, so it’s better now for us and easier for us to get stuff out there, they love the music too, it’s good music.
On his song that touches him the most: There’s one that I wrote, about 2 of my friends who died, that was ‘FIA.’
On his performance at Wireless: [It was] Great, they tried to cut me off and sh*t but the crowd was like f*ck that.
On getting love from home and internationally as well: To be honest, me, I’m not into this international stuff but I’m really doing it because I’m one of those people pioneering this movement. I have to put a cape on my back and do it for the culture but I always prefer being at home.

The Emir of Daura is not happy with the minimal federal government presence in President Buhari's hometown.
The traditional leader expressed displeasure when he received the Minister of Agriculture, Audu Ogbeh, in his Daura palace on Monday, August 6, 2018.
He urged appointees of President Buhari to reciprocate the gesture by coming to the aid of people of his constituents through developmental projects and farm inputs.
“Buhari by his nature will not influence the siting of any projects in Daura,” the Emir said according to reports.
“But his Ministers who benefitted from his appointment should reciprocate by bringing developmental projects to Daura, his birth place.
“It is a call to duty for the Ministers to make provision in their Ministry’s budget of ensuring that Daura benefitted immensely from Buhari administration.
“If the Ministers failed to site any projects to Daura, they have betrayed the President and people of Daura. Like the Rice production in Kebbi State. Katsina has prospects in rice production and irrigation farming.
“Katsina has dams and irrigation sites like Sabke, Jibia, Zobe, Daberan, Mai Ruwa dams and if utilized and reciprocated has potentials of feeding the state and its neighbours.
“I urge you to go back, look inwards and search for what, how you can assist people of Daura. Daura is faced with absence of projects for its development and its people are hungry and need federal government assistance,” the Emir announced.

The Minister disclosed plans to establish a tomatoes farm and processing plants that with create about six thousand (6,000) jobs for farmers and also stop its importation.
Also responding to the Emir’s request, Ogbeh said the ministry will look into the issue of establishment of a rice mill as well as providing improved seeds to create jobs in Daura emirate.

A ghastly motor accident which occurred earlier today left some passengers with injuries in Charanchi Local Government Area of ​​Katsina. It was gathered that the vehicle which was apparently speeding – veered off the highway and fell into the river.

The story has been told of the famous barber who was born without hands but who has become really good at his job.

When faced with hardships in their lives, many people find them too challenging and give up, especially on their life dreams. But not for Gabriel Heredia.

Gabriel is a 20-year-old Argentinian barber who was born without hands. Despite his handicap, he was able to grow up happy and independent. He also always had the support of friends and family, never feeling discriminated at all by his schoolmates. In fact, his inspiration for such a line of work was his mother, who is a hairdresser.

At the tender age of 14, he started working as a barber, and learned all the techniques to perfecting both haircuts and beard trimmings. Although he first saw it as a hobby, Gabriel quickly determined that this was the profession he wanted to work in.

“I have learnt to serve a glass of water by myself, I’ve studied, I’ve learnt to ride a bike, a motorbike, and even to drive a car,” Gabriel said about growing up with his severe disability.
His family soon helped him open his first barbershop, which he worked at for one and a half years. There, he met Zlatan Gomez, the president of Argentina Corta, an organization for barbers to connect, do charity work in less fortunate neighborhoods, and teach hairdressing to those who are interested.

Gabriel is now part of Argentina Corta, offering up his services to people of all ages so they can build up the skills they need to get decent jobs.
As a bright and caring young man, Gabriel strives to not only be a barber, but to also make a connection with the neighborhood: “The thing that I like the most of my job is that people feel comfortable and stylish with my cuts and that makes me feel happy.”

He is also a perfectionist: “I want my shop to be the best and to have another barbershop too.”
Maybe his perseverance comes from the fact that he’s had to overcome so much in his life, but perhaps his energy also comes from being a father. Gabriel has an eleven-month-old son named Tobias, who “gives me strength. I want to raise him with this message: there is nothing you can’t do. You have to improve yourself day by day.”

Nowadays, runs his own barber shop in Buenos Aires, where people line up around the block for his services. He opened up shop just a month ago with his girlfriend Yanina, whose aunt offered him the space rent-free, and business is booming.

Gabriel’s story shows us the obstacles we face in life are almost never completely insurmountable. Whatever problem you face, you can usually tackle it by innovating, adopting the right mindset, and never giving up. When you encounter difficulty in life, what holds you back the most is often your own mentality.

As the legendary painter Vincent Van Gogh once said: “If you hear a voice within you say ‘you cannot paint,’ then by all means paint, and that voice will be silenced.”

A Nigerian journalist, activist and humanitarian identified as Jack Vince, has taken to his Twitter page, @Jack_Vince77, to share some screenshots of a chat he had with his younger brother who is a soldier currently serving his fatherland in the North-East region of the country.


He posted the screenshot of the chat and wrote: "MY YOUNGER BROTHER IS A SOLDIER serving close to the Cameroon border in the northeast. Below, I had a conversation with him today.

Mavin Record artiste, Dr Sid has revealed how he fought hard to keep the defunct Mo’Hits records together, adding that he spent several nights crying.
The record label founded in 2004 and co-owned by D’banj and Don Jazzy crashed almost a decade ago despite a string of group and individual hit songs as well as commercial success.
In a recent interview with Pulseng, Dr Sid said ”It was very difficult and it was very hurtful. It was very painful because anybody that knows me knows that I am a team player. I will sacrifice my personal gain for the sake of the team. Next to D’banj in Mo Hits, there was nobody who could command a stage like Dr Sid, but I never was the guy who threw myself out there, I was all about how to make the team better.”
