Your Governor is wicked, selfish and greedy! That seaport is supposed to be at Ibaka, and not Eket. He does not want Ibaka to develop beyond what it is, hence his wanting to site it in his local government, forgetting that Ibaka sea has natural depth of over 16 metres, you really don't need to dredge it but Eket, even if it is dredged to get a considerable depth so the seaport can be sited there, in no time the sands will fill up the dredged areas. So, you see, Akwa Ibom might have to wait for eternity for that seaport to happen but, if it eventually happens, men... that would be the bomb!!! Even Dubai no go see Akwa Ibom back. Udom should take it back to the people who deserve it, and that is the Ibaka people, the Oron people. I am neither from there, nor from Akwa Ibom state. NigeriaIsDoomed: Brother they don't know Akwa Ibom. True true we go get that seaport even if na to pause other projects. Imagine a dirty skull mining Yoruba who cannot take care of his personal hygiene opening that his stinky mouth to talk shit Akwa Ibom. Go to their Ibadan now you will be gasping for breath and cursing everybody because of how dirty and smelly the state is. They have exported their dirty lifestyle to the UK. All na wash...there is no major development going on in Akwa ibom state. No job creation, no nothing. Just stealing and politicking. The youths there are jobless, Porthacourt seems to be their own Lagos, where they seek greener pastures. Akwa ibom is relatively peaceful but, pray that those hoodlums in their tens or dozens, does not besiege you in your home, late at night, with machetes and locally made guns, sledge hammers ,etc... They can steal!!! |

Exactly what her mother does at home, now she's replicating at school. Instead of sitting there watching her behave that way, the foremost thing to do is to restrict her, thereby preventing her from inflicting injuries on herself. Sometimes erratic behaviours can be embedded in one's DNA, but normally kids of that age are known to be throwing just tantrums, rather than being destructive. For me, the best thing to do is to grab her and give her some dirty spanking on her butts, with my palms, that is, if she was my daughter, and was doing that at home. From the clip, you can see that her teacher had no option than to try to calm her down by talking, and that is because her hands are tied. I pity her parents, they have lots of work to do

etrange: Madonna?!?!?!?!?!?
If only these kids on Nairaland knew who we're talking about here, you'd know this is a big deal. It doesn't even matter if you're her fan or not, Madonna's dominance in the music industry back then is comparable to that of MJ and her influence can still be felt till this day. So to a musician like Rema, meeting Madonna and getting compliments from her is huge. It's like a painter meeting Leonardo DaVinci. Leonardo may not mean anything to you, but he definitely means everything to an artist. Madonna is a Goddess, and I am sure Rema was just a semen waiting to be ejaculated when Madonna was dropping HITS. Rema should thank his stars |

Osama2478: Nairalanders,
Please I need you to help me have a third eye into a personal matter. Although, I have taken a position, I just wanted to be sure I never overreacted.
I am a guy based in Europe and my wife is in Nigeria. I have only been away for a year.
There was a day I was calling my wife on phone and her other phone was ringing which I asked her to pick up but she never did only to say that it was my friend calling her. I was surprised and asked her immediately how did my friend get know her other number. She gave some not-so-convincing explanation but I let it slide.
Curiously, when I returned to Nigeria, I discovered that this friend sent money to her and she never told me about it. The so called friend also didn't tell me anything. In fact, he has always acted as if he wasn't having any contact with my wife.
When I saw the transaction, my wife wanted to manipulate the situation to make it look like I was invading her privacy. I stood my ground to know what purpose the money was meant for but no reasonable explanation.
I called the friend too to know what the money was meant for but only retorted if he couldn't give my wife money as a friend. He couldn't offer any reasonable explanation. With high sense of modesty, this is a guy that would wish to be in my position economic wise and I have always been very generous to my wife when it comes to money. Therefore, financial lack could not be an excuse.
After this experience, I severe my friendship with the guy and rein in on my wife too. I felt that was not the kind of friendship any reasonable person should keep because I felt betrayed by his actions and inactions in relating with my wife behind me. I also see both of them (friend and wife) to be dangerous to my well-being.
Please I will like to know if I overreacted.
Thank you.
MOD please take it to front page for wider views and opinions Do you have children, or a child yet? I advise you run a paternity test. |

Ask your guy to hire me, I am a private investigator. Contact me. Regardless: Hey guys, Pardon the long post. So when I was still in 200 level staying in school hostel, I had this pre-degree roommate - handsome bad guy. He met a lady at the center he was attending tutorials for Jamb and PD exam. The lady and her mum were living in the town where our school was. They started having sex like mad. They so much had sex to stupor that one day this my guy came back completely drained. We had to arrange Malt and Milk for him to get himself that day. Now this girl was involved with another guy who was already working in all this Oil drilling company and he was alright.
I came back from lectures one day and my former roomie was alone in the room and moody. I asked him what was wrong and he opened up to me that the girl is pregnant and they have tried to abort the baby to no avail. Ha... So wetin wan play like this? He said the girl and her mum had already planned to pin the pregnancy on the working guy's head as this my guy no get shishi plus he couldn't even tell the girl to keep it for him or go and stay with his people because he had stayed at home for like 5 years committing plenty atrocities before his mum managed to send him to school for PD. He was sad because he didn't want another man to take care of his child.
When I asked him about the situation after some time, he said the working guy had already accepted the pregnancy and had already started buying baby things down. lol... The guy didn't gain admission again and went back home. Later he came back and did Diploma... When I asked him of the child, he said the child was a carbon copy of him, that the girl had done intro with the guy but when he has money he would come back for the child..
Last month, I received a friend request from my fomer roomie on FB. Long story cut short, after 7 years, he has blown through yahoo in SA. I asked him about the child and he said he can't trace the baby mama again, her mum had relocated from that town and he has exhausted all means looking for them. I jokingly offered my help and the guy was willing to give me money to help him trace her. I told him I would see what I can do.
It took me a while but I was able to trace the girl on SM and even traced the now husband to LinkedIn. Babe is living well with Oil money and has 3 kids and truly the first girl is my guy's carbon copy.. Damn... I started feeling for the child. Beautiful soft girl-child.
I decided ring the girl and immediately I told her what was happening, she hung up and blocked my number.. lol.. I sent a msg to her with my second line and told her to better call me back before I send a message to her husband... babe called me and was begging.. that my former roomie is not responsible. he was not trying then... she couldn't wait .. blah blah .. that please I should not scatter her marriage... was really crying over the phone... The RP in me wasn't buying it until she mentioned that I should please think about how this would shatter her daughter's life. Omoh the human in me made me pause come begin reason am...
My former roomie's lifestyle isn't really what a child would be proud of.. the guy has done everything from cultism to robbery and still hasn't changed and now to yahoo.......only thing he has now to offer that child is money....He said his mother has been telling him to go and bring the child from another man's house. I don't care about the babe because ladies always think their hoe-phase would go unrewarded.. I pity for the babe's husband coz he was simp then and has remained so till now oblivious of anything..... I only sincerely care about the 7y/o child whose life would be turned upside down by this shocking revelation..
Anyway, I told her that I wouldn't do anything for now but my guy is very desperate and she better handles it fast and that it's only a mater of time my guy gets to her one way or another... Babe thanked me and hung up. Next day, she wiped her and her husband's SM clean and deleted the accounts.. except the man's LinkedIn of course.. The man don sha accept me as one of his connections.... I've not revealed any findings to my former roomie.. Last time he asked when I want to start tracking her, I just stalled him. I'm sitting on the sidelines for now.. Omoh I weak ..... The good, bad and ugly comments are welcomed. |

That anger has been brewing, and with its content so high of course! Even foetuses will be blamed in their mothers wombs for forming at all. We have limited time to get it RIGHT |

obembet: Dear Elders brothers and sisters in nairaland, please what is the name of this thing and what's the work? Hmmmmmmm!!! Hehehehehe..kwikwikwikwi..quququququ...I laugh in Japanese. It was 1981, during my Grand Pa's burial preparations in the village, and also the Masquerade festival was being celebrated; some sort of preamble as the festival hadn't gone into full swing, yet. There were some little Masquerades running around and scaring people, especially the girls. My younger brother and I were also mingling with those Masquerades, as we had the privilege of knowing who wore a particular Masquerade's costume. We were still youngsters, and had returned from Lagos for the funeral with our parents, and as Lagos boys, we chanced our mates and they gave us our ways . To cut long stories short, my younger brother had issues with one of the boys who happened to be from our own kindred. So, this particular day, the boy who had issues with my younger brother decided to adorn himself with the Masquerade costume, with canes, hovering around our house in the village, stalking my younger brother. We recognized him, as his shoes gave him away. Prior to that particular day he had lectured us about this particular plant you enquired about on this platform. Trust..my brother had already planned to deal with him too. So he got that plant ready, we cornered the Masquerade behind our house, stripped him off of the costume, doused him with that plant. Omo!!! It was hell on earth for the Masquerade, he began brake dancing , doing azonto and ended up doing the Atiliogwu dance! His screams attracted almost the whole village to the scene. Some experienced elders had to help him remove the Masquerade costume. He almost passed out, if not for the palm oil they bathed him with... Finally they found out it was Lagos boys that committed the crime. Villagers almost lynched us if it wasn't because my family had clout... That act was an abomination, but we were pardoned and made to pay a fine. We call that plant Agbara. Never you toy with that thing. Be Warned!! |
