A Lagos based lady has accused her husband of brutally beating and maltreating her after she advised him about drinking alcohol. According to the woman, her husband who takes drugs to control his high blood pressure - allegedly descended on her after she told advised him against taking alcohol for his own health.

The woman also claimed this is not the first time of being beaten in her marriage as she alleged that the husband no longer wants to take care of their child.

The woman who has now fled Lagos, is currently in Port-Harcourt, Rivers state capital and is seeking for justice.

There was pandemonium earlier today in Offa, Kwara state after gunmen stormed the area for a bank robbery operation. According to reports, at least four people were killed in the course of the operation including a security personnel. The robbery was reported to have lasted for several hours without any resistance from the police or the army.

The robbers who came with heavy weapons and dynamites which they used for the operation - carted away huge amount of money and cars before escaping through Igosun route in the area, according to reports..

The Federal High Court on Friday dismissed all the 13 counts of money laundering and passport fraud instituted by the Federal Government against a serving Justice of the Supreme Court, Justice Sylvester Ngwuta.

Justice Ngwuta was among the judicial officers whose houses were raided by the operatives of the Department of State Services in October 2016.
He was subsequently charged with various corruption offences by the Office of the Attorney-General of the Federation.

Ruling on an application by him on Friday, the trial judge, Justice John Tsoho, dismissed the charges on the grounds.

Justice Tsoho, whose ruling was anchored on an earlier judgment of the Court of Appeal, held that the pre-conditions for instituting charges against a judicial officer were not met before charging Justice Ngwuta.

A youth corp member has been arrested for allegedly defiling an eleven (11) year old JSS 2 student in Warri area of Delta state. According to Israel Joe, simple instruction to carry out home lessons have ended the little girl with pregnancy.

The Nana College Warri student now goes through the pain of abuse and molestation.

The suspect has been arrested and is currently in custody at Division B police station in Warri.

It was also gathered that a notification has been sent to National Youth Service Corps NYSC national secretariat as the suspect is to be charged to court.
