Interesting. Are you sure? |
Don't associate with massively insecure people. They're so insecure that it's a mental íllness. |

Go to the gym. You'll be alright. |
thesicilian:Things lazy people say 2. People around you generally want you to be successful, just not better than themNot everyone hangs with losers 3. There's no purpose in life. We are the ones to create purpose for ourselves.Captain Obvious 4. Planning too much and overthinking can in most cases be a recipe for failure.Things lazy people say 5. You are not irreplaceable. No one is.Things bums say 6. Salutation is not love.Captain Obvious 7. Money, love and relationships will definitely make you happier, but most of your happiness and peace will always have to come from within you.Captain Obvious 8. Most people only keep you around because of what they can get from you. As soon as you loose that "usefulness", they'll disappear from your life. Not everyone hangs with losers 9. It is hard for a total stranger to hurt you. Most of your struggles in life will come from the actions of close friends and familyThings clueless people say 10. Regret is a waste of time, learn and move on.Captain Obvious 11. Perfection does not exist.Captain Obvious 12. Life's unfair. It's been like that from the beginning and will remain so till the end. You just have to learn to deal with it.Captain Obvious |

If you're an adult and you don't know how to cook anything, you need to fix that. And every parent should be teaching kids to cook from when they're little. It's a life skill, not an option. |
It's wild that you have so many young guys there complaining about a lack of good jobs (trade and professional), but they ignore trucking. They would rather be dealers apparently than drive a truck. And if cheap foreign labor was dominant, then Brexit should have made them take those opportunities. That's what happens whenever the US clears a bunch of cheap labor illegals out of a company. |
The co-pilot needs to be punched. Seriously. |
mrksquare:You could say the same about South America, and all of Asia. |
4kelly4handsome:Rideshare companies suffer from a host of problems that taxis don't. The companies actually complement each other by filling in gaps. It's more likely that each business will change the nature of the other, not wipe the other out. It's like saying planes or trains will eliminate buses. That's just not reality. 2. Bank Tellers:No technology is smart or secure enough to totally replace this kind of human involvement. Every bank fraud criminal born, regulation created, and etc makes X amount of tellers necessary. 3. Cashiers:Some people may prefer a cashier because they're: -elderly and want physical help -a parent with a bunch of kids at the store -multitasking -tired/típsy/lazy -chatty and like to socialize with the cashier and others as they shop -people who reject technology -concerned about messing something up or missing out on deals Machines also break, need maintenance, or can be too expensive for some. In some parts of the world, people mostly shop in stalls, and those folks definitely aren't using self-checkout. Thus, cashiers aren't disappearing any time soon. 4. Telemarketer:Ultimately, we're talking about sales. You can't automate the very human and psychological process of sales, only improve it and expand it with technology. Unless people stop talking on the phone, telemarketing will survive. 5. Dispatchers: (except emergency services) Dispatchers for typical service industry jobs such as plumbers, taxi drivers, and other services are quickly being replaced by automation. No machine or tech alone is smart enough to do this. It introduces too many serious problems. 6. Watch repairers: there are two significant concerns with the watch repair jobs that are still in existence. First, many people are switching over to smartwatches that integrate with their phones. Any issues with smartwatches are usually too complex for a traditional watch repairer, so these watches must go back to the manufacture. Second, as automation replaces many in the manufacturing industry, traditional watches tend to get cheaper while watch repair costs are increasingSome people pay tens of thousands of dollars for mechanical watches. Your favorite rapper is constantly flashing a mechanical watch, and millions of people want one (even a fake) just like it. It even seems to be trending because quite a few new makers have appeared. So jobs may shrink substantially, but not disappear. 7. Printing press operators:Digital publications are awesome, but there are many uses for literature that make a physical copy way more practical, useful, and desirable than digital. People also like the experience of printed media, collecting it, sharing it, displaying it, and designing it. It will shrink, but not disappear. 8. Bus Drivers: Driverless vehicles are becoming much more common, and we are sure public transportation is soon to follow Traditional bus drivers will soon be replaced by driverless transportation to increase efficiency and lower government Costs. The technology is nowhere near where it needs to be for this to happen. 9. Librarians: With the move towards digital media and libraries turning to self serve kiosks, the traditional librarian role is quickly disappearing. With the move towards digital media and libraries turning to self serve kiosks, the traditional librarian role is quickly disappearingThis is totally wrong. Someone with this training and knowledge is necessary to manage all that material and those resources. The change in media format makes no difference. In fact, they're even more necessary considering the exponential increase in media. |
1. You should be curious enough to want to take random machines apart and rebuild them. But definitely don't do that without researching it first. 2. You should be passionate enough to have personal projects going. It can be anything, a robot or a cooking appliance. 3. If you don't like math, you better learn to enjoy its beauty. 4. You will have to code (regardless of discipline). So familiarize yourself with that. Your specialization will determine just how much you have to do. Explore MOOCs on https://www.edx.org/ You won't be disappointed. Also, think about what you can create specifically for Nigeria. It doesn't even have to be amazing. It could be various mods to existing technology. |
Can the average hawker even afford tools to accept that? And what will they do about fraud? Unless the government is giving out free tablets, free software, and free payment processing, how is that going to work? ETA: Hawkers shouldn't be victims of this goofy policy. They're hardworking people unlike the crooked politicians who came up with this. |
