What a purrfect thing to add to the global anti-Russia party. It seems Russia can't claw its way out of this.

What's your background as far as work? Are you willing to do medical training? |
1. Managers need a broad set of skills to be effective and decent at their job. It's not that a younger person can't do it, it's that they're less likely to have the training and experience for it. 2. The positions you're going for are honestly not that challenging unless the site/facility is large, with a lot of staff, and offers a number of services. Generally speaking, your tasks and responsibilities are pretty narrow and repetitive. Still, it's not surprising that hiring managers are concerned you're not ready for the responsibility. 3. You're getting valuable experience and that will open doors. You need to articulate your experience and responsibilities instead of worrying about perception. You should also take opportunities to get more training. Attend workshops, conferences, and etc. Also, you may be applying for positions that differ too much from what you're currently doing in terms of scope. 4. Regardless, you're doing great! You've lasted where others didn't, and a number of companies are interested in your talent. So many people would love to be in your position. |
If you see square waves in the ocean, get out of the water as soon as possible. Why? Because the phenomenon is usually associated with strong and powerful rip tides. Swimming or surfing in the middle of a cross-sea is not something you should be doing, even if you're an experienced swimmer or wave rider. https://www.surfertoday.com/surfing/what-are-square-waves |
While you may know a thing or two about traditional rip currents and changing tides, you may not be aware of the dangers of square waves. Yes, this is a real thing — and a truly stunning phenomenon at that — but it's also one of the most dangerous sights to see in the water. Known as a "cross sea," a square wave occurs when two swells meet to form a square, often resembling a checkerboard pattern. As the European Space Agency explained in 2010, "The conditions are quite common in the ocean and occur when a windsea and a swell, or two swell systems, coexist." It pointed to a 2004 study that showed "a large percentage of ship accidents occurred in crossing sea states." But these cross seas can form swells up to 10 feet high, as well as create unique wind patterns, making it difficult for boaters to navigate and swimmers to make their way through. So, again, while rare, if you do stumble across this, avoid heading out via a boat or swimming in the potentially rough seas. https://www.travelandleisure.com/travel-tips/square-waves-cross-seas-danger https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hS3jEcCEaHw |
They must mean that they feel you won't be interested because they're shorter. But I don't think this is a major issue. Guys really don't care on average. If they're feeling a woman, and they're confident, they'll try to talk to Beyonce. ![]() |
Angola could become the world's second biggest producer of rough diamonds by 2030, Diamantino de Azevedo, minister for mineral resources, oil and gas, told last week's The Future of Diamonds conference.... "Angola has been the only place in the world where production has grown as a result of new discoveries of diamond deposits," over the last decade, he told delegates. The country was "the next most important mining hub and attraction for mining investment," he said, according to the VerAngola news website, given its high potential, business opportunities and favorable tax regime. Angola is currently the world's fourth biggest diamond producer, but has yet to explore 60 per cent of its diamond-rich territories. De Beers has revived plans to invest in Angola, after "substantive and consistent reforms" in a country torn apart by a 27-year-old civil war. Last month Angola has revised down its forecast output for 2022 by almost a third from 13.8m carats to 10.5m carats. Angola has made repeated efforts to counter diamond smuggling - deporting 250,000 smugglers between 2003 and 2006 - and has faced ongoing allegations over "conflict diamonds". The long-delayed Angola Diamond Exchange has yet to open, despite a pledge by Mr de Azevedo, that it would be functioning in the capital Luanda by December 2021, even if it was in temporary premises. http://www.idexonline.com/FullArticle?Id=47434 |

The United States has asked 12 Russian United Nations diplomats to leave the US, accusing them of "espionage activities," as Russia continues its attack on Ukraine. The Russian diplomats were asked to leave due to their alleged engagement in "activities that were not in accordance with their responsibilities and obligations as diplomats," Ambassador Richard Mills, deputy representative of the United States to the United Nations, said during a UN Security Council meeting Monday afternoon. Russian Ambassador to the UN Vassily Nebenzia responded by saying Mills' explanation of the expulsions was "not satisfactory." The diplomatic expulsions were announced less than a week after Russia began its attack on Ukraine, though the US said that the move had been in the works for several months. Last week, the US expelled the second-most senior diplomat at the Russian embassy in response to Moscow's expulsion of the second-ranking US diplomat in Moscow earlier in the year. The State Department announced the expulsion in the hours after Moscow began its bombardment and invasion of Ukraine. The US Mission to the UN also said in a statement that the 12 Russian diplomats were "intelligence operatives...who have abused their privileges of residency in the US by engaging in espionage activities that are adverse to our national security." "We are taking this action in accordance with the headquarters agreement. Today's action has been in the works for several months," US Mission spokesperson Olivia Alair Dalton said. CNN has also reached out to the State Department for comment. https://www.cnn.com/2022/02/28/politics/us-expels-russian-un-diplomats/index.html |
The New York Stock Exchange and the Nasdaq Stock Market halted trading of several U.S.-listed Russian stocks this morning in the wake of tough new sanctions imposed by Washington in response to the invasion of Ukraine. NYSE’s website said the exchange had halted the trading of Russian telecom operator Mobile TeleSystems PJSC, mining and steel company Mechel PAO and online real-estate classifieds company Cian PLC due to “regulatory concern.” Nasdaq halted the trading of several other Russian companies, including search-engine operator Yandex NV and online retailer Ozon Holdings, citing “news pending.” Ozon, sometimes called Russia's Amazon.com, held its initial public offering on the Nasdaq in 2020. https://www.wsj.com/livecoverage/russia-ukraine-latest-news-2022-02-28/card/cTRdEpwhpdUspKwAISo1 |

The ExxonMobil-led owners of the P’nyang gas project in Papua New Guinea have signed the major agreement with the PNG government that will underpin the project's development. Co-venturer Santos said the signing of the gas agreement on 22 February 2022 marked "a major milestone" for the project, setting out the fiscal framework and supporting project scoping and evaluation. P’nyang gas will be delivered through new upstream facilities in Western Province in north-west PNG and link to the existing PNG LNG export facility near Port Moresby. Santos said up to 5% of P’nyang gas produced will be made available to support the government’s electrification efforts in Western Province or another agreed location. No specific fiscal terms of the gas agreement were disclosed by Santos, but the Australian company — which acquired Oil Search in late 2021 — said the project will provide landowner benefits under a benefit sharing agreement to be negotiated in the future. In addition, the project will create local and regional jobs and business opportunities, provide training and skills development opportunities and help build stronger communities, added Santos. The operator ExxonMobil said in a statement the timing of the P’nyang development is proposed for it to follow the Total-led Papua LNG project. P’nyang would provide about four years of additional construction activity after Papua LNG, and drive economic benefits for the country and participating provinces, said the US supermajor. “On behalf of ExxonMobil and the other co-venturers, I thank the PNG national government along with the government of Western Province for their partnership in moving the P’nyang project forward,” said Liam Mallon, president, ExxonMobil Upstream Oil and Gas. “The P’nyang project gas agreement marks a significant milestone and underscores the intent of all stakeholders to set a clear framework toward the P’nyang project’s future development.” Read more here https://www.upstreamonline.com/lng/major-gas-project-agreement-signed-in-papua-new-guinea/2-1-1172113 |

The Environmental and Social Impact Assessment (ESIA) for the Hope Wind Farm project on the East Coast Demerara has been approved. The Hope Wind Farm will be the first large scale wind energy facility to be constructed in Guyana and the approval of the impact assessment paves the way for the issuance of an environmental permit for the project. In September of 2018, Hope Energy Development (HED) submitted an application for an environmental authorisation to construct and operate a wind farm. The project proposes the construction of four wind turbines along the coast at Hope Beach, outboard of the Lowland/Hope to Ann’s Grove Villages and two additional wind turbines in the Chapman’s Grove area, 2km further to the South East of Hope Beach. According to a public notice on the website of the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) the project’s EIA fully complied with the Terms and Scope outlined by the agency in consideration of the submissions made by members of the public and adequately address the views and feedback expressed by members of the public and other stakeholders during consultations and the statutory 60-day public review period last year. The Environmental Assessment Board (EAB) approved the project’s ESIA, which the EPA says has adequately assessed the potential adverse effects or risks posed by the project, and the mitigation plan proposes appropriate and adequate measures to minimize the aforementioned. During the initial studies, the HED discovered that wind power is stronger during the evening hours and at its lowest during the day. A decision was then taken to incorporate a solar element into the project as well. The solar farm is expected to provide 20 megawatts of power. The approved ESIA states that while wind farms present a risk of harm to residents due to wind turbines falling over or parts of rotor blades breaking off and being thrown some distance, they would be complying with the World Bank environmental and safety guidelines for the wind industry which advises a minimum safety offset distance of 1.5 times the maximum height of a wind turbine in order to achieve acceptable levels of safety risk. The wind farm is slated to generate over 50GWh of electricity per year that will be delivered to the Guyana Power and Light’s (GPL) grid and will provide an alternative to Guyana’s reliance on fossil fuels for power generation, and its associated emission of carbon dioxide and other pollutants. The power purchase agreement with the Guyana Power and Light (GPL) but once this is done, it would mark the end of the feasibility aspect of the project. The plant is planned for commissioning some 18 to 24 months following the signing of the PPA, and may occur as early as the third quarter of 2023. They need to be quiet before their card gets blocked too. |
1. The main people crying about this are Arabs. Their society, culture, and religion are terribly violent and racist. They should just be quiet and be thankful anyone defends them. 2. Being surprised that white media is racist is like being shocked that water is wet. 3. This isn't about Ukraine. It's about controlling Russia. And they need to be controlled. 4. Russians and Ukrainians are central Asian, not European. 5. Russia lost. lol |
