Look at studying free in Scandinavia, or studying in Spain. |
Does he have a business or does he just cut hair? There's a difference. If he's had a shop for several years, he's ready for marriage. |

as a kid, steven barrett, an associate professor of aeronautics and astronautics at MIT, would watch the movie and tv series ‘star trek’ during his free time. his young eyes would gaze upon the shuttle crafts, so futuristic and dystopian that they would glide through the horizon at a lightning speed. barrett noticed how these space crafts seemed frameless, bare of their moving parts such as the propellers, and noiseless. such an observation still influences him today to the extent that he thinks, in the long-term future, planes should be stripped of their turbines and propellers to be more like the shuttle crafts of ‘star trek’ in their glowing light. at MIT, the professor did just that. MIT engineers, led by barrett, have introduced the world’s first plan without moving parts, bare from any propellers and turbines. the lightweight aircraft relies on an ‘ionic wind’, or the abundant flow of ions produced aboard the plane that generates enough force to thrust the plane over a steady and sustained flight. through this concept and design, the plane ditches the use of fossil fuels, an element that adds to its silent glide. as the professor spoke to the university’s official news site, he describes how the plane is the first-ever sustained flight with no moving parts in the propulsion system. ‘this has potentially opened new and unexplored possibilities for aircraft which are quieter, mechanically simpler, and do not emit combustion emissions.’ the design weighs about five pounds and has a five-meter wingspan attached to thin wires resembling fences. these wires act as positively charged electrodes, while similarly arranged thicker wires, running along the back end of the plane’s wing, serve as negative electrodes. the fuselage of the plane holds a stack of lithium-polymer batteries. barrett’s ion plane team included members of professor david perreault’s power electronics research group in the research laboratory of electronics, who designed a power supply that would convert the batteries’ output to a sufficiently high voltage to propel the plane. in this way, the batteries supply electricity at 40,000 volts to positively charge the wires via a lightweight power converter. You know what's interesting? The equivalent role and pay in US/UK/AU/NZ/CA or any other desirable location doesn't afford you as many options and opportunities. It's only people abroad in high 6-figure roles that have the same options in-country as a Nigerian with the job described by op. What I mean is having substantial capital to invest and being able to easily do well in business. The American would have to borrow, sacrifice, and take high risks. Even if successful, the margins may be terrible and have them doing not that much better. But to answer the question, someone in that position should do both. Use the good salary to get some investment real estate, and start a bunch of businesses. Then basically buy a foreign passport. Apparently, you can buy citizenship (for your whole family) in multiple Caribbean countries for a few hundred thousand USD. You can basically do the same thing in Greece and Portugal. When your kids are ready for uni, send them abroad. Maybe invest in some real estate or businesses abroad too. |

Welp. |
This isn't motivational to me, but it might be to some of you. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FfzrScBFUvs |
"The very first time that I saw your brown eyes Your lips said 'Hello' and I said 'Hi'" |
So your girl was like "Lisa got a big ole butt I know I told you I'd be true But Lisa got a big ole butt So I'm leaving you" |
"never trust a big butt and a smile..." |
PJ Morton piano album Wow. This dude is one of the few today (it seems) keeping real r&b going. And he's mainstream. I don't know how I missed him, but I appreciate him. |
Instead of asking random people on NL, go out into different communities and research. Talk to people, learn about problems, and think about how you can offer a solution. This can reveal a bunch of hustles. Some won't last, and some will just be a product and not a business. But you'd be surprised at what silly things can make you quite a bit of money. |
AKWATGOLD1:That's what I'm thinking too. |
That's a tough call. If you're doing a medical program, it's definitely worth it to go abroad. The thing is that 7M can do a lot in Nigeria, but only so much abroad. And you could end up back in Nigeria with no savings or anything. One thing you could do is build not just a house, but some rental property. You could maybe keep it simple and build a multifamily. It's way cheaper and easier to start a business in Nigeria. And you have more than enough to get a bunch of little things going. But take your time and be confident in your choice. Don't just do what a friend is doing. Don't be lazy about it. But it's a tough call. Whatever you do, work hard. |
S**very is legal there. They lose. |
Also, if you want to vacation somewhere in the region, try Papua New Guinea. https://www.nairaland.com/6839230/papua-new-guinea-experiences-info |
Bifwoli:That sounds like the same stereotyping people do about Nigeria and Nigerians. Most Jamaicans can't even afford those homes. Please indicate what official information source you used to determine this. |
It's not cheap, but it's within reach. University of Guyana has bachelor's and master's for 5,000 USD, and doctorates for 7,000 USD. uog.edu.gy/tuition-fees At Lincoln American University School of Medicine, the first year is 11,000 USD and subsequent years are 6,000 USD. laumed.org/fee.php Georgetown American University has a BSN program for 7,000 USD. gau.edu.gy/tuition-fee-policy/ You'll have to contact Greenheart Medical University to get tuition fees, but I suspect they're affordable. gmu.edu.gy/admissions/tuition-and-fees/ There are many more schools offering programs that can go as low as 3000, but I suspect international students will be paying more like 5000 at the lowest. It's a lovely place with great people and vibrant culture. You'll leave with a competitive education and some great experiences. If you want to know more about life there, read my thread on Guyana. |
Udapod:Maybe look at Guyana. They're a bit cheaper than Jamaica (for med school). |
kellylacey:Some women are bitter and dysfunctional. They want a partner to see bad in good and share their warped view. Compassionate. Some women like guys that are selectively compassionate. They like someone who generally is a massive a**hole, like them. Sense of humor.Humor is subjective. And some women even see a good sense of humor as a negative trait. They think it's immature, not sexy, negative, or soft. Dependable. Some women just think this means the guy is good for being used, or for being their plan b. Self-confidence.I think it's fair to say almost all women find this attractive. But it can also work against guys because some women almost don't allow them to be human. Financial stability. This is subjective. And some women have terribly unrealistic ideas about what that means. Intelligence. There seems to be two strong views about this with most women. One large group of women wants a guy who's capable, but not "smarter" than them because they're massively insecure. Another large group doesn't care, and may even find it unattractive or something they don't find relatable. But both groups essentially impose a limit on how intelligent they want their partner to be, and what ways they want that intelligence to be demonstrated. Chivalry.Men and women want to be treated like they're cherished. It's really not a gender thing. But some women view this as a weakness. They view it as an indication that a guy can be used, and consider him less masculine. It may even turn them off. Creativity. Some women, arguably a lot, don't care. They tend to care more about status and visibility. You do not have to remain guessing on what really attracts women. You kind of do. Every woman isn't the same. Traits that some women love are considered grotesque by others. lol Some universal, general qualities women tend to like: height, deep voice, nice teeth, swimmer build, neat grooming and dress, and money (upper class level). Driving a muscle car doesn't usually hurt either. |
I don't believe this offer actually happened. Indonesia is not a developed, progressive nation. And they're definitely racist. Any company in that region looking for management will seek locals and people in the region first. They have nothing to attract and retain foreigners. This offer could be tr4fficking of some kind. |
If you just want a nice vacation try Seychelles or Angola. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pCIIDO5hQLg ETA: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lhyCDXX-ifA |
I wasn't going to say anything, but his girl looks like a man. Seriously. And as for the topic of getting with oyinbo women, there's a lot you can say. But the essential point is: Why would you protect, love, romance, and give physical intimacy and passion to someone that literally wants to oppress and/or eliminate your people? Even if they weren't psycho, they're just not good-looking. Furthermore, having kids with them amounts to genocide. |

No, as long as you choose a good partner. |
What studying are they going to do there with all those sanctions? What studying will they do when Putin is unhinged? |
This is all fine and good, but the US can't talk out of both sides of their mouth. Take more manufacturing out of China if you're really about what you say. |
There's no reason to visit Thailand. |
