I decided to start this thread because the Nairaland members of today care so much about which topic makes the front page and which one shouldn't.

Its so sad that you can hardly find a thread where one or more members wouldn't be criticizing seun or his mods about topics that should and shouldn't make the front page.

I even came across a thread where a member threathened to leave Nairaland simply because his topic wasn't on the front page haba has it gotten to that extent.

I want us to understand that we're not paying a penny for being a member or making a post on Nairaland. So why should we be so emotionally concerned as to which member's topic makes the front page and which one doesn't.

In the old days the members then bothered more about their posts and cared less about the front page palava, but now the reverse is the case.

Finally, in order to make Nairaland more enjoyable for yourself, avoid minor distractions such as the front page palava and focus more on how you can make an impact or better still learn from others on this forum.

You have a good number of girl friends and you're sad cos you girl is leaving you for someone else. My dear stop being selfish and let her live her life.

My dear Nairaland can be likened to the famous Onitsha market or any other noisy gathering. You should also know that its membership base is almost a million and amongst them we have boko boys, Massob members, opc, insane people, underaged children amongst others.


So in order to survive I would advice that you should avoid being too friendly on the forum. Just post your opinion and go then check back later to see replies. If someone insulted you, reply the person in a more 10 times the insult he or she gave to you. If someone commends you, commend him or her back.

If you follow this method you won't have much friends but at least you would have your diginity. Cos no one would take you for granted.

Are you a short person[/b]before you start insulting or discriminating against short guys, you should ask yourself if you're a short person or not.

Let me give you a piece of advice.

When next you want to apologize to a lady you claim to be in love with, you must first note that the relationship is a two way stuff. I.e you love her and can't live without her and vice versa.

Going through all you wrote just to make her forgive you isn't commendable. Sounds more like she was tormenting you for fun of it.

Next time such an incident occurs, I wuould suggest that you apologize passionately, if she refuses then ignore her. I'm sure that after a whole week of no communication, she would realize her faults and put aside her ego and would be the one to put the first call across.

But note. This option would only work if the girl is truly in love with you. If she isn't you would wait for a whole year and she wouldn't even flash you.

Cheap scam.

When you call the numbers they would start requesting for finanical support form you. They would tell you to support the Nigerian police in whatever way you can so that they would have enough resources to tackle this issue when next it occurs.

I'm a Nigerian, and I know my country so believe me when I say its a cheap scam.

I would suggest you go for stat.

Stat is kind of related to computer science. I myself I'm a computer science student, and in my 2nd year, we had some joint csc lectures with stat dept. Your data base management in csc is 75% stat.

So there's nothing to worry about just accept stat.

Physics on the other hand is related to engineering. You have courses like engin drawing, solar physics, nuclear physics, and many more.

So if you're mathematically weak, believe me, you won't survive in physics

Just weight yourself accdemically and I trust you would make the right choice.
