One really has to be very careful with what he takes into his body this days, cos Nigerians can go any length just to make profit. Even if it means serving expired products (poison) to people for consumption. |
Blackett:Happy new year bro...how have you been? |
player007:You will have to follow whoever you wish to send your pm to first before sending the pm. |
Jesus...I can't believe it...may his gentle soul rest in perfect peace. |
gatiano:Go back and read my original post...I said according to the dictionary meaning of Satan there's no need to sound objective unless of course you disagree with the dictionary. gatiano:True gatiano:This is where Hosea 4:6a comes into place....True gatiano:True gatiano:Where did you get such information from, cos I know it doesn't exist in the scriptures...prove me wrong. |
God is an all merciful God; he's willing to forgive once you admit your wrong doings. Question is - is satan ready to admit his wrongs before God and beg for forgiveness? I believe its logical to think that the Devil doesn't seem to want to change by any means...it's not like he hadn't had the chance. According to the dictionary Satan means chief spirit of evil and adversary of God; tempter of mankind. just his name alone means that there are NO godly qualities within him.... God can read hearts, and was able to see that he (satan) had and has no intention of changing, that's why he was condemned by God and awaits eternal punishment. |
Jeromejnr:This is where I'll have to add my own voice...The tithes Abraham paid were spoils from war (Genesis 14:18-20)...mind you, it was never recorded anywhere in the bible that Abraham's tithing was a continues process. Secondly it was paid to a high priest. Now back to the second passgae (Hebrews 6:20)...Jesus is now our high priest which means we no longer have to pay tithes to him like practiced in the old testament. Why? Cos christ can fend for himself unlike the priest of old who where totally dependent on the income of the children of israel. That's why he (Christ) didn't emphasize on tithing during his days on earth. Jeromejnr:Wrong...tithing wasn't free will. It was mandatory because the priest of old had to feed and take care of their families...that was why God referred to those who refused to bring their tithes to his house as robbers. See malachi 3 verse 8 The free will you might be referring to was practiced by the new testament church...they weren't under any command to bring. They brought as they could afford...that's not tithing. That's giving out of free will. Acts: 4:32-35 32 All the believers were one in heart and mind. No one claimed that any of their possessions was their own, but they shared everything they had. 33 With great power the apostles continued to testify to the resurrection of the Lord Jesus. And God's grace was so powerfully at work in them all 34 that there were no needy persons among them. For from time to time those who owned land or houses sold them, brought the money from the sales 35 and put it at the apostles' feet, and it was distributed to anyone who had need. Jeromejnr:This has nothing to do with the topic at hand. |
AnEvangelist:Short answer...NO |
tebirim:I understand, contract jobs with banks are nothing but slavery. Imagine paying someone 20k for a month of which he would spend about 12k on transportation. That's terrible. |
tebirim:The ball lies in your court...do you want the offer or not? |
AnnieBeyonce:Really...I didn't notice that during my schooling days. |
So after sending their children and family members abroad for basic education with tax payers money, they would deny other Nigerians the same opportunity? Cost-saving measures indeed...silly people. |
ArchEnemy:Based on the bible, why did God ask the children of Israel to tithe? Let me answer that for you so as to save precious time. Deteronomy 18: 1-5 1 The Levitical priests—indeed, the whole tribe of Levi—are to have no allotment or inheritance with Israel. They shall live on the food offerings presented to the LORD, for that is their inheritance. 2 They shall have no inheritance among their fellow Israelites; the LORD is their inheritance, as he promised them. 3 This is the share due the priests from the people who sacrifice a bull or a sheep: the shoulder, the internal organs and the meat from the head. 4 You are to give them the firstfruits of your grain, new wine and olive oil, and the first wool from the shearing of your sheep, 5 for the LORD your God has chosen them and their descendants out of all your tribes to stand and minister in the LORD's name always. God commanded the children of Israel to bring their first fruit to his house because the levites weren't allowed to own lands, fields..etc. And God being a fair God, commanded the remaining 11 tribes to shoulder the responsibility of the levities. See also.. Detuteronomy 26:12 12 When you have finished setting aside a tenth of all your produce in the third year, the year of the tithe, you shall give it to the Levite, the foreigner, the fatherless and the widow, so that they may eat in your towns and be satisfied. Now according to the passage above, the tithes were expected to be brought to the temple every 3 years. And it was strictly for the levities, the widows, fatherless...etc. Secondly, it was never in form of money...mind you money was in use then, but God never asked the children of Israel to bring money into his house. Unfortunately our churches today go about preaching about money, money, money. How many churches distribute bags of rice, palm and groundnut oil, tin tomatoes, maggi...etc to widows and the less privilege on monthly basics? Whereas that's what God instructed the israelites to do, and that's what the church in the new testament did as well. But what your greedy pastor keeps telling you is that if you don't bring a certain percentage of your salaries and first fruits (in cash) to him, the hottest part of hell awaits you. That's robbery if you ask me. |
ArchEnemy:I asked you a question based on your first post...kindly provide an answer. Thanks. |
saxwizard:So long as the gospel of Christ is being spread, I see nothing wrong with the SEX caption. |
ArchEnemy:Sacrifice 10% to whom? |
Read the following passages carefully. Leviticus 15: 16-18 16 "'When a man has an emission of semen, he must bathe his whole body with water, and he will be unclean till evening. 17 Any clothing or leather that has semen on it must be washed with water, and it will be unclean till evening. 18 When a man has sexual relations with a woman and there is an emission of semen, both of them must bathe with water, and they will be unclean till evening. Note: verse 18 deals with seminal emission during sexual intercourse, but verse 16 is our focus cos it speaks of a seminal emission that does not occur as a result of intercourse. If this is indeed a reference to masturbation, then read verse 16 agan...God simply said, "Go and take a bath." Masturbation has been around for a long time, and since God does not clearly condemn it, I would not be too bothered with it, either. Masturbation is practiced far more than adultery or fornication, yet God is practically silent on the issue. This ought to tell you that God is not overly concerned with it...so in my opinion, its not a sin to masturbate. And for the records, I don't masturbate. |
muawkabs3226:Good luck and success in your choosen career path. |
Did you or anyone submit any form of application to the said company on your behalf? If your answer is no, then disregard that message. |
Nice thread...I've learnt a lot. |
There's already a similar thread in progress...since we can't have two similar threads running I would have to lock this thread. https://www.nairaland.com/1310548/learn-how-use-excel-spreadsheets |
muawkabs3226:I would suggest you go for computer science. Computer science is mathematics if you ask me, cos you'll end up taking mathematics courses till you graduate. So in the end you can refer to yourself as a computer graduate and a mathematician. Mathematics on the other hand is more like a solo course, even if you offer computer courses it would be the general computer you would do in your first year; so you'll end up having very little knowledge about computer. Secondly in the area of jobs, the employment market would be more favourable to a computer graduate than a mathematician. |
silvoice:Sounds like a contract job. Bro contract jobs with banks are terrible, you might end up working there for 2 whole years without any form of increment in regards to your pay, secondly as contract staffs, you're excluded from annual leaves, meaning you're going to work like a machine year in year out; no break. And finally there's no job security...the bank can lay you off at the slightest financial challenge they come across, leaving you empty handed with zero entitlements and zero benefits. If you have an alternative means of income like you stated, then continue with it. Contract jobs aren't worth the stress. |
Caracta:Mine doesn't o... you've got mail. |
agbajesaid:Bro its impossible. Even inter faculty transfer eg chemical engineering (faculty of Engineering) to industrial chemistry (faculty of science) is very strenuous. You would have to keep shuttling the two faculties every now and then, you must ensure that your file has been moved from the old faculty to the new one, you must keep pestering the student affairs unit for your new reg number that carries the new faculty's code, also you may be asked to rewrite some courses in your new faculty...etc. Now to your question. Inter university transfer is just a word you see on your university guideline book...it doesn't exist or should I say Nigerian universities do not practice it. The only transfer I witnessed in all my years in the university was that of DE (direct entry) students. The best option for you would be to continue in OAU. There's no need putting yourself through unnecessary stress that would yield zero results at the end of the day. |
Caracta:Sup cara, how was your night...Does your Gtalk still work? Mine's been inactive since late last year. |
