I know men who find it hard to let their wives pay bills... I know others who luv when their wives pay bills. To each his own. No woman is deluded or should be rubbished if her man has decided to foot the bills and no woman is silly if she decides to meet her man half-way. It all depends on what works with the couple.

To all the women out there, staying with cheating husbands thinking he will stay, keep dreaming, one day you will also see your husband marrying someone else.

To the man, what can I say. You have decided to embarass yourself, your children and your family because of lust. You should have done the honourable thing by not getting married or divorcing but instead you choose to be unfaithful and deceitful. Do I blame you? Not really! you and your stupid wife deserve each other

She is insulting the new woman cos the new woman uploaded a picture she took in the old woman's house. It's the new woman's online profile...not the husband's.

Now that's a thing of choice. I know many women who are married and are being battered by their husbands, yet, the chose to remain in such abusive marriage.

Now even I can't argue this. Yes I believe attitude is everything. I've lost count how many times I've seen and heard some women lament that they wish their kids have the influence of a father in their lives, that's after realizing at a stage that all children, need the influence of a father in their life.

Like I said earlier, a primordial society... I can successfully handle any single lady, I've never been a coward, just as long she doesn't wake up one morning and say "when are you going to propose to me?" Seen this one time too many.

I want to believe you're among the women who tow this line of thought.

We see this issue differently..tho I don't doubt your points. I just happen to have a more positive outlook on life.

It depends on the type of organisation, if its a top notch organisation you can simply apply for a sick leave.

But for the start ups, I remember what I used to do back then, early in the morning my MD would get this text from me;

"Good morning ma'am, please I'm sorry I can't make it to work this morning, I woke up with serious stomach upset, but as soon as I get strong enough I would rush down to the office."

The goal of telling your boss you would come to work once you are ok makes your boss less offended because there is still a possibility of you coming to work and you didn't just abruptly decide not to come to work, so if the interview is in the same town you can still make it to work after the interview, and if you can't come back on time it would be taken the "illness" turned out to be too serious

Well like you said, it all depends on the organization. In mine, U can't just cook up a "Sick" story. For any day you claim sick and unable to make it to work, you must send in an excuse duty from a hospital (stamped and signed by a doctor & subject to verification) or else your facing an outright dismissal.

Personally, I always come clean with my boss. She understands.

Pardon me creme de la creme. I believe its a two way thing. Just like amicable09 said, some ladies want to mingle, but nobody wants to mingle with them, may be they're successful and drive fancy cars, now such things scare lilly livered men away, and sometimes, attracts the gigolos.

Some despite the fact that they're not successful, just have genuine bad attitude, now that also scare men away.

So, I believe being single is a status as well as a situation.

Ok...so what d'u call women who get married and get battered/butchered by their husbands? isn't that more of a situation? I could take a poll and ask women what they'd prefer.. Be single at 40 or battered at 40. Ur guess on the vote is as good as mine.

Sometimes it's not about the attitude. Some women just don't want to be married...some are scared of commitment and would rather raise a child alone..so they opt to have a baby daddy.

My issue here is with the stereotypical ideology society gives single ladies. It is not always about her attitude. Men who run from successful ladies should remain on the track..running. They cannot handle them. There are men who can comfortably handle successful women who have no qualms with settling down.

I still maintain that being single is not a Situation but a status. It only becomes a situation to those who have allowed the societal influence to get them desperate. There are women who know where best to channel their time, energy and resources to make better of themselves..rather than die of depression. It all depends on the lady and how she sees herself....not how the society sees her.

Sadly true.. cos the society viewing her as being useless have decided not to mind their own ever increasing problems.

The onus is on the woman involved to ignore haters and luv her life regardless. She has to make the best of her life at every point in time cos the only person that can truly make her happy is herself.

What I will suggest you do is that, henceforth, let your frequent calls, sms, care and affection head on diminishing returns and watch her reaction afterwards. If possible, stopping calling her and even if she calls you, act like you no longer care about her.

However, you can as well start giving her monosyllabic replies during chat
just to signal to her that your affection and interest in her is dwindling. If truly she loves you as she claims, she will come of her shell and start doing things in a different way in a bid to have you back. And if she doesn't still give a damn and still acts the way she has been acting, you don't even need to tell her that it's over, just let the relationship die like that

It takes a whole lot to get someone to change a behaviour...especially a dominant behaviour. Even if she changes, it's only temporary till she gets what she wants - Marriage. Once she is married, she goes back to the way she has always been..

It's like what you guys drum in our ears daily...a man who cheats cannot change.. U cant change a man..bla bla bla.. What makes this case any different?

@OP... U know how she is. Decide if u can deal with it or not (all sentiments aside). If U can't, please move on. A more patient man/someone more compatible will come her way. That's the reality.
