Its a blessing to have a good MIL. It can be depressing when both mother and son stand against the wife. Still, I'll never pray ill for any MIL.

Lol lock your room and everywhere else before going out and let her stay in the sitting room. grin

Then install something that looks like a camera in your sitting room, it doesn't have to be functioning. Let her know that things have been disappearing and you got someone to install CCTV just to catch the thief, she won't lift anything from your house again.

You're always welcome.

Everything about my physical fabric is art/humanities. My line of work entails making assumptions/hypothesis and being hyper imaginative.

You are the one in commerce/accounting - you should have been able to pass your message more clearly in the 2nd post.
I carry 10% of the blame - the rest of the 90% belongs to you. cool
Sweets,

In Nairaland, i'm neither in commerce nor accounting. Take Creamish for the NL personality she is. Assumptions are a 50:50 ratio in terms of True:False in the virtual and real world. U will not always be right.

We have derailed this thread way more than necessary.

Cheers.

The teaching here is that the word disciple can also be in form of a verb
Present continuous tense - discipling
Past & past participle & discipled

The definition you gave up there is for the Noun form of ''disciple"

When it's in verb form it means - to educate/train or teach, thus, the op is grammatically on point.
U fail to understand my point Dark... Im not faulting the OP grammatically... Im faulting the use of that verb discipled in the context of his post. It's more torture than teaching.

Consider this:
Today's kids are so spoilt that they don't know that in our days you could be beaten for any of the following reasons:
1. Crying after being beaten.
2. Not crying after being beaten
3. Crying without being beaten
What is the teaching here? It's more of being maltreated IMO..than being discipled.

Disciple is a noun/verb. Discipled is the inflected form - meaning it's correct !

We were well trained/discipled by the Rabbi to face the alacrity of life
Dictionary meaning of disciple:
a. One who embraces and assists in spreading the teachings of another.
b. An active adherent, as of a movement or philosophy.
2. often Disciple One of the original followers of Jesus.
3. Disciple A member of the Disciples of Christ.

What exactly is the teaching here? huh

A friend on Facebook shared what happened to him today!

On my way to work today, I saw a purse on the ground along this quiet road, there was just a lady ahead of me so I picked it up without bothering to check the content, I hissed severally at her but she ignored me, I said "hello" yet she ignored, so I doubled-up and tapped her on her shoulder, she turned immediately and said "Do I look like your age mate ?
I replied "no, you don't" and pointed the purse at her and asked "if it belongs to her" she was shocked and full of regret. She said "yes, Its her's" so I handed it over to her and moved on, she said I should hold on a minute... "I told her sorry I can't, I'm late for work" and moved on. She just stood there and watch me leave... and I made sure I was bouncing as I moved on # lol
Ok..so without turning back (while bouncing off), U knew she was just standing there and watching U leave? grin

grin There's this lady that my bro is about marrying after we have visited her parents for a formal intro, she spends most of her days in my bro's place.
Something transpired one fateful day,she told me I have been taken her for granted lately, prior to her complaints, we both shared things in common, our mode of interactions and level of communications both with my bro and herself were d evidence because they were so lovely back then. But now? she no longer talk to me, refuses to wash my dish after meal that's if she agree to cook, refuses to eat if I do the cooking even she won't wash anything I used for cooking. The level of the rivalry is getting to much! I don't wanna be part of it any longer! My bro noticed all these changes but he's not asking me for anything as relating to that.
@bolde.d.. What did u do to make her change this much? When u take someone for granted, it's very likely that the person will change towards you. Why are you shocked?

I think the issue here is to ascertain her fertility status
Women who have miscarriages are fertile. Getting pregnant before the wedding is no guarantee that the child will be born.
Family › Re: Is Pregnancy Before Wedding The Best Way To Avoid A Childless Marriage? by Creamish(f): 10:48am On Feb 04, 2016
As long as he is certain he will marry her...no second thoughts..and she agrees to take in, then It wont be a problem. Everyone has their own solution to issues.

A Childless marriage can be viewed in different ways. U may have kids but they all die young.. the marriage is still childless. She may get pregnant before the wedding but due to some unfortunate circumstance, a miscarriage happens after the wedding.. ..still no child..

It's not a guarantee but if it helps him sleep at night, no qualms. There is no moral justification for a lot of things we do.. Children come by the grace of God.

tearoses:
Turn good men into ritualists? . . more like the man already had badness already within him.

Will a good man cut off a females breasts and dump her on the road like a rag?
Will a good man bury his gf from the neck down for 8 months and feeding her once a week?
Will a good man use his own children for rituals?

No one can be pushed into anything that they don't already want to do.
Please let everyone be responsible for their own actions and not blame anyone else

OP are you saying that men are puppets on a string and have no brains to determine right from wrong?
That alone is an insult to men.
Well said. God gave everyone the ability to differentiate btw GOOD and EVIL. A responsible man will hustle to provide for his family come rain or sunshine.. Ritual isn't hustling pls.. (for those babies men OP is referring to).
