Husten:DG will not be sacked, keep your thoughts to yourself, deal with reality. I know people that have their ID card already |
kennyok:Just because you can't see it does not mean it doesn't exist. I know people who have their ID card already. |
sheddybest:You clearly don't understand the mandate of NIMC, and you are not following the project closely. The ID card is the end result but there is so much more behind the scenes. |
okooloyun1:I know close relatives who work there |
Ura:Sigh, another one who has no clue what they are talking about. The DG tenure is up in a few months so he will leave NIMC soon. Buhari has nothing to do with what you are saying. |
eljoey:You mention the DG himself is not free from fraud, where is your evidence or are you one of those that go by what you saw on the news or what you have been told, I know people who went for recruitment exercise. It was free and fair. Tell us the zone where the successful candidates came from, again show us proof. All the parameters they used for selection is on the NIMC website, I bet you didn't bother to check it |
okooloyun1:You do not know what you are talking about, NIMC is working |
UAE, thankyou. All other countries should follow their lead. All monies must be returned. Nigeria must work oh |
In this GMB first term, here are some things he should consider State Police Let each state manage their own police force, Doing that ensures that the FG no longer controls police to do their bidding. Instead state governments do that and if they are not performing, you know it’s the governor of your state that should be blamed. It also means that the police come from the individual community, so if they misbehave, you know where they live Excess crude account for all states Yes we have one already now, but I am talking of ECAs managed individually by the state. Just imagine once we sell the oil, all states get a share, and obviously oil-producing states get a bit more. No states are dependent on the other and no governor has to beg the President, the money in the ECA should be only for rainy days and infrastructure development. The money left over from the state each year is split in half, one half goes into the FG ECA NASS salary reduction This is going to be difficult but can be achieved with political will. APC is in control of the house, senate and presidency. If this is not done now, it may never be done. The NASS budget rivals a lot of state budgets; this should not be the case. Eliminate minister of state portfolios I don’t think I need to explain this one. Fixing the refineries We have oil under out feet but we move it abroad and then refine and bring it home to sell for a higher price. Why are we doing this to ourselves? Fixing the refineries means a lot of high paying jobs, a booming economy, reduce oil prices for us and more oil we can export. Best of all, no more fuel scarcity War against Indiscipline This must be implemented in the right manner. EFCC and ICPC must be properly funded and they should be autonomous in their operations reporting only to the president and ministry of justice. All past and present politicians must be probed, if they are afraid of jail, all monies must be returned and they must sign an undertaking that no one from their family line will enter public office for at least 2 generations. Monetary limits in political campaigns There is too much money in politics and whoever has the most buys the government. Dangote and Otedola will always have a bigger say in how Nigeria operates than the rest of us. 70% of Nigerian live in abject poverty, by implication they have managed to silence 70% of Nigerians, make it an equal playing field for everyone, rich people and corporations shouldn’t have a greater say in how the rest of us live our lives Remove Federal Character In as much as we are a diverse country. The concept of federal character ensures the right person will not always be picked for the job. This hurts all of us. We are playing a global game against other countries; only the best and brightest should represent all of us. At the end of the day, it is all of us that will benefit from it. No more subsidies This could be done before or after refineries have been fixed. This will bring immediate hardship but we will be better for it in the long run. Oil cabals have been stealing money this way for years Limits on all political office positions The former generation cannot continue to control the upcoming generation. Let each generation have say in the world in which they plan to live in. Old folks should think about retirement and let vibrant young men and women lead us forward while the statesmen and women provide guidance. Create an Environmental Protection Agency This is important, our lands have been decimated by oil spills plus we have pristine lands that should be looked at as national treasure. This agency should spend their time going after companies dumping toxic stuff in our country while also protecting our health and environment |
Dont let anyone deceive you into believing there is a best place to meet a spouse. However, there are places where you can statistically increase your chances of meeting "the one" gym church park office shopping mall social media nysc camp ![]() good luck folks |
Enough with the conflict baiting headlines. Everyone knows the economy is bad but you want to attribute it to one person. Let us stop pretending like this economy spoilt in 2007, it was bad way before then What is APC scared of, you will have the chance to fix it, maybe they are lining up their excuses already for when they dont perform. We are all witnesses. Good day everyone |
gateleo:GMB is not the issue here, what is the issue is that other Nations dignitaries are acting like GMB is running the country and GMB is allowing it, that is perceived as a parallel government. GMB can simply come out and say, no meetings with foreign entities until after May 29th. What they are doing only continues to further undermine a sitting president whether they choose to see it or not. |
Telecoms sector is a success in private hands and so will electricity, dont listen to Atiku |
olaxy2:If done right, power privatization is a good thing. government hands have been on this thing since the days of our elders, there has been no progress, let private companies(legitimate) handle it Just include a bit of government oversight so they dont get carried away with billing etc |
This is how it starts |
Lets be honest with ourselves, nothing will happen to GEJ. Let me tell you why If Buhari goes after GEJ and actually finds a way to throw him in prison then that means they want to set the country on fire. The SS and SE will not let it slide Obsanajo, IBB, Danjuma, Saraki, Tinubu etc are still walking freely and you only probe GEJ, good luck explaining it to the country |
Looking for a serious answer to this question, what value are traditional leaders of today adding to the Nigerian society? It seems to me that they are just there to collect their own share of the National cake and bend the thugs to whichever politicians pay the most |
humberjade:I am not vexing for you, but we on the outside dont really know what goes on in the corridors of power. We see headlines on politically controlled newspapers and form our opinions. God will bless our hustle Enjoy the rest of your day |
The Nigerian masses are being hoodwinked. Do you know what it means for $20 billion to be "missing". I doubt that is the correct figure but I have no evidence to back up my claim. My suspicions is that the number was inflated to make the GEJ administration look more incompetent that it already is. |
jusRadical:Then it will be very clear that the intention was to undermined the GEJ administration and they succeeded in it. The average Nigerian will not believe whatever GMB says unless that $20 billion has been found or some political titans , obasanjo level and above are in jail |
A lot of people keep talking like Diezani is the problem, you are all being distracted. She is only playing by the rules of the game while trying to bring positive change. Buhari can probe whoever he wants to, but if he goes after Diezani, it will not be because she did anything wrong but because they want to use her as a scapegoat. I am not saying she is innocent, but lets be serious, there is IBB, Obasanjo, Tinubu, Danjuma, Saraki and yet people think Diezani is the problem |
humberjade:Why do you think he is high?, just because he lost an election therefore, he should stop doing the job he was elected to do. Please park well |
MzJackBaueress:How do you know his services are not needed by the GMB administration?, give me proof, not your opinion |
EggovinMma:Quite frankly, the conditions on which Nigeria was built is shaky, It will always continue to be that way if the North acts like its a do or die. What even surprises me the most about their actions is how they spend so much time wanting to control the country but their states are decimated financially, educationally and environmentally. |
searching4lovee:This is the kind of thinking that ensures Nigeria cannot move forward, so because people voted for the party that did not win, therefore they must suffer. Of what use is democracy then I hope you see the light some day |
APC may hold the presidency till 2031 GMB/Osinbajo - 8years Fashola/Oshiomole or Rotimi - 8years |
EggovinMma:What do you mean by enjoy presidency, this is not a game, our futures are at stake, let us all work to get the best person to do the job |
manny4life:Why would I hate on your comment? There is nothing to gain or lose. We all have better things to do. If you think I have no idea of the model used by Netflix that is your own cup of tea. Netflix will always have issues when it comes to availability of current seasons, licensing cost keep going up and there are only so many deals they can make with production companies. Netflix does not operate with Nielsen ratings like others do out there plus there is no ad money coming in but what they have is exclusive most of the time, where else are you going to find “the killing”, “orange is the new black” etc. That is original content and they must keep cranking out such shows to increase their consumer base. To make the statement that Netflix is ONLY a delivery medium shows your limited knowledge on Netflix and shows in their catalogue. They are also in the original content business As side note, ganja is not my thing, if it is yours, carry on. Cable providers all have on-demand as well, so there is nothing special about it. What you need to understand is that Netflix is not for everybody. Its consumers know that they will not have the latest titles but they don’t need to spend half their time watching commercials plus the price point is more reasonable compared to Comcast, TWC etc You talk about Netflix losing its glory but its US subscribers broke through 40 million (WSJ) for the first time. Internationally it broke through to 20 million (WSJ). Its shares are up 13% to $537.24 after hours as of Wednesday. If we look at video quality, Netflix and Hulu Plus stream at 1080p HD, Redbox 720p. If we look at mobile apps and devices delivery, redbox is not on gaming consoles, apple tv or even roku but Netflix is. All the providers have their strengths and weaknesses but ultimately the consumer decides when, where, how and what content they want. |
You have to applaud the western media, they go to far lengths to meddle in Nigerian politics. When the violence did not occur as expected, its now time to rubbish any legacy of democracy GEJ will leave behind |

THEY MUST SUFFER IT FOR PUTTING THERE EGGS IN ONE BASKET. NONSENSE
