ndigbo you are being a bit selfish arent you ? before oil was discovered the north supported nigeria for hundreds of years with the groundnut pyramids. not once did they say the south east are parasites. the money was shared equally amongst all the regions. now they find oil in south-south and you are talking about seceding. thats greedy dont you think ? its like a kid who has been supporting his broke friend for many years and once his friend gets small money he turns his back on him
How are exactly are they being selfish. Why shouldn't they secede? Just take a look below of a time line of Igbo genocide

1980 Northern City of KANO!

1982 Northern City of MAIDUGURI!

1984 Northern City of YOLA!

1985 Northern City of GOMBE!

1986 Northern Cities of KADUNA and KAFANCHAN!

1991 Northern Cities of BAUCHI, KATSINA and KANO!

1992 Northern City of ZANGO KATAF!

1993 Northern City of FUNTUA!

1994 Northern City of KANO

Notice I didn't even mention what happened in Odi massacre of 1999 or the 1966 pogrom

Your analogy is a stupid one. No one told the north to stop producing

So because of groundnut, that gives them the right to keep polluting the Niger Delta

When I told people close to me that voting for GMB would be a mistake and that it would be better to sit at home and observe or vote for GEJ, they said I was talking nonsense. I hope you all are witnessing the change

The exchange rate is worse now than it has ever been. Food items are now more expensive than before. You would think giving the idiots we have as governors asking for the sharing of ECA money from an 'empty' treasury and the state of the economy, GMB would appoint an economic team as well as a finance and agriculture minister to give him solid policy advisers. Instead he operated as sole administrator

I guess getting an F9 in waec math and owning a farm allows you to understand the competing interest of 170million+ population. Don't even try an bring up his HOS experience. This is not command and control anymore, it wont fly anymore.

GMB keeps appointing Northerners in almost every position, even a dullard knows given our history and the optics of political appointment, you would tread carefully but No, he does what he wants.

Why have you not appointed a CoS, his media aide tell you, "in the fullness of time". Ladies and gents, what more do you need to know that this administration does not have your interest at heart

BH bombings are now almost a daily occurrence, BH suspects are now being sent to the SE. Everyone knows how tense things are, What happens if one of those individuals should blow a bomb there now?

No ministers, no policy direction

This country is in autopilot
PoliticsRe: US: We’ll Compel Nigeria To Accept Same-sex Marriage by CriticalThought: 3:55pm On Jul 15, 2015
When Nigerian activists where fighting Northern leaders concerning age of marriage, we did not hear from the US. Now they want to come and talk about gay marriage, If they plan to talk about it, we should also press them on police brutality and racism towards blacks in their country.

On the issue of gay marriage, one only needs to look at the Nigerian society to know that we don't accept it. Legalizing it would mean the Nigerian FG is ok with gay divorce, gay marriage, gay kissing in public, gay bf and bf in secondary school amongst other things and every citizen should be ok with it. Brethren Nigeria is on the brink of collapse and gay marriage is the priority? Where do we draw the line. Should we now accept bestiality, afterall they can do whatever they want, do we want to now raise children in a woman/woman or man/man household? Have we considered the effect it will have on our society.

If you look at the biology and anatomy of humans, you will see that it is supposed to be man/woman, if you look at all the religions, you will see that it is man/woman

As for those that are gay, I wish you the very best and I want you to prosper, If you are reading this, just remember its because you have a father and a mother.

The pasture is very much greener outside but you must already know how take care of the grass if you know what I mean. You cant just enter a foreign land without planning for visa, housing, education, feeding, entertainment etc. Everyones scenario is different

Diplomacy not Official Conduct is what is required. Do you know if she has allies up there? what you can do is be official about your conduct and gather enough negative perception of her conduct, it is not what is official that will resolve your problem, it is how much dirt you have on her and your ability to propagate or project your boss character to the rest of the company - no board likes a bad leader unless he is delivering results. is she?
I see your view, I would further say a combination of both could help in resolving the issue.

I feel my manager is going to do a poor review on me in the next six months. She is taking it personal for some reason and since I got employed in the Bank of Agriculture, I have been working hard to get permanented. I want to complain to the right authorities through the appropriate channel so, I need someone to please guide me.

My problem started when I had clash with someone at my place of work who was directly employed because she is a relative of the former MD, I didn't report her but someone else did to the manager and right now for some vague reason the manager became hostile.
What exactly is permanented?

If you submit reports with that kind of language, what do you expect?

If you think your boss is not treating you right, find out what your company policy is on reporting to higher ups and go based on that
CareerRe: My Company Owe Me Money!!! How Can I Get It Back by CriticalThought: 4:57pm On Jul 07, 2015
preciousone123:
Dear readers,

I started a new job about 5 months ago and my manager had promised me that after my second month with the company I would be provided with staff card that enables me get money off in silver bird galleria on the weekends. Also I was told that as I decided not to eat in the canteen I would have added on money to my salary. Also because I drink into work I would also be given some re-imbursement towards fuel.

However this is 5 months and still I have not been given or offered any re-imbursement or added on salary. This is beginning to affect my motivation and also my beliefs in the company to keep to their words.

If anyone is feeling the same way I feel, pls can you share it with me. Does your company's lack of fufilling the psychological contract between you prevent you from being committed to the job? Or is the lack of trust you have in them making you re-consider if you would like to get a new job else ?

So if my company at this early stage is already not fufilling their promise. I wonder how many more of their promises in the future they would fail to fulfil....

That is a big question I want the masses to help me answer
...

There is a difference between promise and contract in the workplace

You mention your boss made you a promise, was this verbal or was there a written contract?

If it was not legally written, agreed and signed by both parties then nothing for you oh. Its your word against theirs and you cant prove it in court without paperwork.Your best bet is to try and get it in writing or find another job

The pox are big and irritating.

Should I go or should I stay?

Should I blame it on the devil or people from my village?

Why this time?
Why are you looking to blame the devil or people from your village?, If you break glass in the kitchen or NEPA take light, is it the people in your village that caused it? Not everything has spiritual roots, sometimes man made error. If you had gotten the chicken pox vaccine when you were younger, you would not be having this issue now

I cant believe you are considering going to the interview in your present condition, are you trying to endanger other people in that place. The right course of action is to reschedule and tell them why you are doing so, if they refuse, then they never cared about your well-being in which case you saved yourself from one chance.

Wish you a speedy recovery
PoliticsRe: Buhari yet to appoint Chief of Staff — Presidency by CriticalThought: 6:19pm On Jun 29, 2015
It amazes me how some of the simple things that need to be done become like rocket science in Nigeria. How difficult is it to appoint a COS. Surely there must be one in a population of 170million+. The COS has key responsibilities such as

The COS must select key Aso rock staff and supervise them
Structure the Aso rock staff system
Control flow of people stepping into PMBs office
Manage flow of information
Protect PMBs interest
Negotiate with NASS and other vested interest groups to push PMBs agenda forward
Advise PMB on various issues

Why cant the PMB administration see this. Due to their inaction, we arestuck with dealing on trivial issues, before you know it, 4 years has come and gone
PoliticsRe: Buhari yet to appoint Chief of Staff — Presidency by CriticalThought: 6:08pm On Jun 29, 2015

I'm not clamouring for Buhari to appoint ministers just yet, I'm adopting a wait and see approach first. It's still early days, if after a few more weeks and we are still here then I'll agree with you that things are in a bad state and that the Baba doesn't know what he is doing.

We all have to assume the position of tactical and constructive criticism. The time to cry wolf may well come but right now any cries will easily be dismissed as that of an unreasonable man.

For now let's be vigilant and continue watching the man.
Why would you adopt a wait and see approach?, the very reason that it is in the early days should have even resulted in getting those ministerial posts filled. The PMB administration knew they were coming into power 3 months ago and yet it seems like they don’t have a list of names

The ministers need to meet with lobby groups, media, coalition partners, other ministers in government and sectors that have public interest to them, they are the eyes and ears about the trends going on. They will need to figure out budgets, planning, implementation and give reports to PMB. They will need to fight opposition when they make unpopular decisions. This is a lot of work

You want us to continue watching the man while he does nothing to take this burden off him. NO
Now is the time to get the right people in key positions when there is still political good will and the masses are still shouting change

Definitely PMB does not posses all the expertise experience to run it all. But we need to thread gently in order not run the government down. Imagine the on going crisis the N Assembly is facing and who will approve the Ministerial appointees when the crisis persists along with the long break the Senate president just approved.
I agree the N. Assembly needs to settle but we are not even hearing of a date to announce. At least assure the public of a deadline to take action. Surely, thats not too much to ask

Why will ministerial appointments ground the government when we have the Permanent Secretaries still working in the ministries. Even the so called Ministers depends on this Perm Secs before embarking on any project or decision making. Abeg let them leave story and present more useful write ups that will bring development to the nation rather than embark on witch hunting this government for their selfish reasons know to them. cool
Can you tell us what is witch-hunting about criticizing a government that knew it was coming into power 3 months ago and yet did nothing about finding candidates for key government positions.

PMB is starting to run this country like a sole administrator. He cannot do it all by himself, or are you telling me he has expertise in all the fields
