Alexgman1: Its up to two years since i broke up with my ex (ALEX MARVEY). But uptil now I haven't gotten over her. She has moved on & deeply in love with someone new who she profess to be engaged to. She has blocked me on every social media platforms but yet i still find a way to stalk her. Following her updates & uploads using a different and fake id.
Whenever we cross paths on the road she ignores me like we never knew before. Despite the fact that it was her that messed up and did all the lies & cheating, yet i still forgave her for everything she did.
How can i move on and let go of her totally & for good because anytime i and my new girl are eating, walking, bathing & romancing i do imagine my ex. It's gonna be hard o but it is possible. How?, here are my counsels; 1. Ghost her- Stop following her on social media. You need to stop seeing anything that reminds you of her. Delete her number so you won't have to see her whatsapp status. Unfollow her on all social media platforms. Wake up to this reality bro. She has moved on, you need to move on too. (Woman? Smh, No keeh your sef o) 2. Find yourself a better woman and create memorable moments with her. (Don't be carried away while doing this sha, women have no guarantee/warranty) 3. Love yourself to the extent that you'd forget ever loving her. Trust me, you can forget her. |

Nairaland General › Re: My Experience At A Wedding Affected My View On Gender Equality by CrystalMax: 6:48pm On Jul 26, 2020 |
30naira: Today, I attended a wedding ceremony. At the reception, the couple tried to maintain social distancing inside the reception hall, so there were limited seats. Most of the guests were in the open field outside. I sat behind two ladies, who should be in their mid or late twenties. I wasn't really paying much attention to them.
After a while, they left their seat and went out. After about 5 minutes two guys came, and sat down in the empty seats the ladies left. These guy are obviously in their early twenties.
About 30 minutes later, the two girls came back inside, I noticed that one of them has had a change of cloths. So obviously they went home and returned.
The girls demanded that the guys should leave the seat, because they got there first. It is their seat. As expected the guys bluntly refused. The girls started raising their voice and cursing. No one really cared to listen to them, the boys were busy consuming the drinks on the table.
One of the ladies got frustrated by the indifference of the boys, grabbed a glass of juice from the table and threw the content at the guy's face. The guy in turn opened the entire can, got up and started pouring it on the girl's head, ruining her make up and soaking her weavon.
Next thing we saw, the girl grabbed him by the collar with both hands, tearing at his skin with her nails. Before you could say Jack, the guy started raining down slaps on her face, she fought back too.
Before we could rush down, the girl had a bleeding nose and a red swollen face.
Now this is the part that particular offended me. Everyone that gathered round started heaping insult on the boy for beating up a girl, despite the fact that she initiated physical contact. Some women even went as far as threatening to arrest the boy. The entire narrative changed quickly. Some stupid men even tried to beat up the boys. I stood my ground and insisted that if anybody lays a finger on the boy, I ll see to it that everybody is kicked out of the reception.
It took the intervention of the officiating minister to calm the crowd. Everyone was insisting that he would pay for the girl's medical bills. Funny thing is that the guy had finger marks all over his neck. She was sobbing and attracting sympathy left and right, as if she was not the one barking like an animal moments earlier. In the end, it was the guys that were kicked out, the girls had the seat.
I get confused about this gender equality stuff, women want to be treated like men and treated differently at the same time. You can't claim equality only when it suits you. If it were two guys fighting, I'm sure they ll both be kicked out and nobody will spare a thought for the injured, there ll be no sobbing or comforting, it ll just be seen as two people disturbing the peace. But everyone is suddenly acting up to protect an equal specie, who is also the offender, and the females see nothing wrong in this inequality
Do you want equality or not? Personally I respect and treat everyone equally, but if you initiate physical contact, male or female I will retaliate with the same ferocity. God bless you for standing on the right side. Women don't know what they want. They want to be treated equally as a man and at the same time want to be pampered like a girl. If any lady wants to play feminism with me, I'd gladly support and respect her for that as long as she's ready to bear the consequence. You should not want to sit with me like a king and at the same time want me to treating you like egg. The guys might not even know the girls were sitting there before then o. God go save men! |

jasent: Though my account may seem to be new,but I started following nairaland since 2009.recently I noticed how nairaland has become APCland...During presidential election I noticed a lot of things but I didn't really care because in my opinion Atiku was not better fit to rule Nigeria than buhari,so i just felt both atiku and bubu have got nothing to offer..But on Edo election, I am amazed how negative news about Obaseki quickly make it to front page, while positive one never make it...
Some weeks ago somebody created a thread about the housing project of Obaseki, despite the laudable achievement the thread never make it to front page. Today PDP Flags up their campaign team, still no news like that on the front page(I maybe wrong though).. But we could only see how Obaseki was booed in Oba palace...
To one nairaland, you should be neutral politically.. Even if you have to support a party you must not make it so obvious for all to see.. For this simple reason,I will stop reading any news from nairaland, infact I am done with nairaland.... To the best of my knowledge, Nairaland is not a news agency or media house. Nairaland is a forum. It is wrong to expect it to be a media house. |

Canny19: Thanks everyone. I will update this thread as much I can in a bid to see Canada thru my eyes. Let's fire on!
My first canny experience happened in the washroom at Toronto Pearson International Airport. I was waiting for my last leg at the airport, I felt pressed so I made my way to the washroom. I went in with my sanitizer with the hope of Sanitizing the toilet bowl before sitting on it. I got in there and realized that it was my sanitizer that needed to be sanitized by the toilet bowl cos it was looking cleaner than crystals. As if that wasn't enough, I finished the doings, stood up and the toilet flushed automatically ... Like really... Who asked you? I wasn't sure how it knew I was done .. That's how I used the next 5 minutes looking for the sensor on the toilet bowl o. Finally found it and I decided to trick it by running my palm over the censor and the toilet flushed again.... That's how I won the cold war between myself and the toilet bowl in the washroom o. This Canada ehn.... I must explore I will like to meet you some day soon @Canny19 You are such a vibe!. A Very funny man. "Who asked you?" |

Canny19: The last leg to Edmonton was rough, the turbulence was much. I began ti wonder what was happening. Even the longer flights from cotonou to Addis then from Addis to Toronto didn't suffer a turbulence this much. The cute lady beside me slept for the better part of the journey while I was finding it hard to sleep. I was calm tho cos I got TCC (travel clearance certificate) from my village ppl and they already promised not to follow me to Canada. So I had nothing to worry about.
Landed in Edmonton and saw that one of my checked in bags was ripped. I wasn't surprised tho cos the bag had a whole lot of orisirisi and panti foodstuffs. Stepped out of the airport and was greeted with cold but I decided not to use my jacket, I got shocked when my host came wearing armless and said the weather was warm... Ki lo warm exactly? Are you people playing me ni? It was at that moment I started dreading winter. As I type this, my jacket is on while people are wearing pants n bra outside my window
I'm settling in quite well even tho I'm still in shock how 10pm can be looking like 4pm and 5am be looking like 9am. There's no way one can predict the time by looking outside in this country.
It's time to start 'living life' as opposed to just 'merely existing' in Nigeria
I'm finally HOME. 10/7/20 Home is where an average person can afford 3 square meals per day. Home is where security is well guaranteed. Home is where there is no huge discrepancy between the rich and the poor. Home is where our resources and funds are not being embezzled by our corrupt leaders . Home is where there are job provisions for graduates. HOME is where there is HOPE!! Home is, home is, home is, home is.................. CANADA Have a dream and work towards making it a reality.

From "Laccident" to TCC from your village people, bros...You are such a vibe! Thanks for making me laugh hard. I wish you all the best in Cannie. God bless your new HOME |

Elders please I need your counsel. IELTS have delayed me thus far, thank God the jinx was broken 2weeks ago. Here is my situation; Although my previous IELTS result was not perfect, I opened an EE profile last year September with the hope of using it for PNP applications.(Sadly, none ever worked out, I was there with hope and faith) To the glory of God, I have aced IELTS now but my profile will expire in September and I am sure by God's grace I would have ITA before then. My Questions: 1. Should I withdraw the existing application and start a new application? 2. If I proceed with the current profile (which I have now updated), will the account expiration affect my application when I am now in the whole documentation process?
Please kindly advise! Thanks in anticipation. |

I bet many Nigerians did not read that contract. It is even worst here on Nairaland, people read the topic and just jump into conclusion. Before we say anything, let's ask, when did she leave the label? The contract shown to us reveals it's a 4 years contract, signed in 2013 with an optional renewal for 2 years. If she ever signed the renewal, can we see the content of the renewal? If not, when did she leave? What was the penalty of her not living up to the terms she signed?
Let's see it all. Half truth is also half lie. |

Family › Re: Time To Divorce My Wife? by CrystalMax: 8:44pm On May 05, 2020 |
noakchukibadan: Hello,
Please no ethnic banters. One of us is from Ekiti, and the other is from Benue. I am married for 8 years with 2 kids. It has been one problem to another.
I must be very frank, before marriage, my wife had many very questionable characters, but unfortunately we did the marriage counseling in a church were the pastor happened to be her family member. Many of the issues would have been resolved, but when I raised those issues about her character the pastor promised me that everything will be fine after the marriage. Although this is not an excuse, but looking back now I would have been more patient and taken my decision myself instead of rushing into the marriage. For this I HOLD MYSELF ACCOUNTABLE
There is hardly nothing we do not quarrel about, I have always been the one to initiate settlement. The only way I ensure that there is peace in the house is for me not to complain about anything. Even at that, there is always trouble. If the children do anything wrong, she always says those characters the children are exhibiting are not from her and that she is not surprised that they inherited such characters from me.
She can go for months without talking to me, even if I tried to, I have done all I could do, I have begged, cried prayed. I just feel tired and exhausted from trying to make the marriage work or have peace in the home, the sad part is that she often reminds me every time there is misunderstanding that I should remember that she can stay on her own without talking to any body. Just to add, she is very prayerful.
OTHER INFORMATION. 1. I can say conveniently that there is no money problem at home. Finance is okay. 2. I went to see her father 2 years ago, the man said unfortunately he can not do anything. This is true because she was raised away from her Father, she has no contact with any of her fathers family and her father has a zero say in her life. 3. she has 5 elders ones, non of them is in communication with her because of many unresolved issues. Of her 3 younger ones she only maintains a relationship with the last boy who is just 14 years. . 4. Her mum can not talk to her because she simply dares not. However, behind, her mother use to beg me and she kept saying she understands her daughter's character and that she is doing her best by praying and doing deliverance for her. 5. She is not in contact with her maternal uncles and aunt because she said they supported her elder ones when she had problem with them.
So I am stuck with no one to help call the both of us and resolve the issue.
Every year for 5 straight years, she always forgets my birthday, last year, she forgot also, three days later, she bought me a present and I refused to collect the present and I asked her why does she keep forgetting my birthday, year after year for 5 years. She just said sorry, but I left the present in the room, she never bothered to bring the present to me. Another birthday was gone yesterday 2nd May, and as I write, no happy birthday yet.
I literally cook for myself, and all domestic things I do for myself.
I will end this by saying that in fairness to her, her character was not too different before the marriage and courtship, sincerely only once, that was like one year before the marriage I broke up with her, she came to apologize and promised that she will change. Her mother also came to apologize to me also.
This woman has refused to change or allow peace to hold sway, she is right every time, while everybody around is wrong. Sincerely, I do not know what to do anymore.
I am tired and exhausted. I do not know what to do anymore. I am 42, I was diagnosed of high blood pressure 2 years ago. Bros, I love your maturity and sincerity, it is highly commendable. Please yield to the counsel of the sages in here. Prayerfully do whatever will give you legitimate peace of mind. You deserve to be happy too. On the other hand, my fellow Bachelors and 'Man'chelors ....let's learn from this. Don't ever settle for less, think of the long term. |
