PoliticsWhy Cross River Has No Chief Judge -speaker by Ctorch(op): 8:24pm On Sep 17, 2020
The vacuum created by the exit of Justice Maurice Eneji as the Acting Chief Judge of Cross River State may linger unless the National Judicial Council recommends his successor, says the Speaker of the State House of Assembly, Eteng Williams.

He said on Thursday this while reacting to the exit of Justice Eneji since September 3, noting that there is no letter recommending anybody for confirmation as the Chief Judge of the state.

“We don’t have any letter before us for us to treat. The vacuum that has been created is not the assembly’s problem. It is judicial problem because the NJC has not submitted anything to us.

“Moreover, it is a constitutional thing. If you read the constitution, it says the governor will send (names) to NJC, NJC will recommend. The word there was ‘recommend’. They did not say they must. And the constitution says the Assembly will confirm. The confirmation is not compulsory. It is either you confirm or you say no. The aspect the Assembly has to do is either to say yes or no.

“As we speak, there is nothing before us. They have not sent any letter to us from either the governor or the NJC. The vacuum created is a constitutional problem and as lawyers, they should understand what the constitution says about that.”

The Speaker further stated that “NJC should do the right thing and follow what the constitution says. The constitution says the Assembly will confirm either yes or no. If we say no, it means it is not confirmed. They know the procedure. They know how it is done. Cross River should not be an exception.”

Before Justice Eneji was appointed acting Chief Judge twice, the NJC had recommended Justice Akon Ikpeme to be appointed as the substantive Chief Judge of the state but the House of Assembly refused to confirm her because the members said she was from Akwa Ibom State and as such constituted a security risk.

Foreign AffairsBarbados To Remove Queen Elizabeth II As Head Of State by Ctorch(op): 10:18pm On Sep 16, 2020
Barbados has announced its intention to remove Queen Elizabeth II as head of state and become a republic by November next year, as the Caribbean island nation seeks to move fully beyond its colonial past.

The decision was formalized in the so-called Throne Speech, delivered on behalf of Prime Minister Mia Mottley by the island’s Governor-General Sandra Mason to mark the state opening of parliament on Tuesday.

More than half a century after attaining independence from Britain, “the time has come to fully leave our colonial past behind,” Mason said.

“Barbadians want a Barbadian Head of State,” she said. “This is the ultimate statement of confidence in who we are and what we are capable of achieving.”

Mason said “Barbados will take the next logical step toward full sovereignty and become a Republic by the time we celebrate our 55th Anniversary of Independence” — which will be marked on November 30, 2021.

When asked about the speech, a Buckingham Palace spokesman said: “This is a matter for the government and people of Barbados.”

Queen Elizabeth is head of state of the United Kingdom and 15 other formerly-British ruled countries, where she is represented by the governor-general.

They are Antigua and Barbuda, Australia, The Bahamas, Barbados, Belize, Canada, Grenada, Jamaica, New Zealand, Papua New Guinea, Saint Kitts and Nevis, Saint Lucia, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, Solomon Islands, and Tuvalu.

Many Barbadians have called in the past for removing the queen’s status — due to its lingering imperialist associations — and several of the island’s leaders have advocated becoming a republic.

A government-appointed commission concluded in 1998 that Barbados should become a republic with a non-executive president as head of state to replace the queen — but the recommendation was not acted upon.

Mason cited a warning by the country’s first prime minister, Errol Walton Barrow, who had cautioned against “loitering on colonial premises” — saying: “That warning is as relevant today as it was in 1966.”

“Having attained Independence over half a century ago, our country can be in no doubt about its capacity for self-governance,” she said.

A number of nations have removed the queen’s status as head of state since achieving independence, while remaining part of the 54-member Commonwealth, with Mauritius the last to become a republic, in 1992.

During Queen Elizabeth’s reign, eight referendums have been held on becoming a republic, of which three passed: Ghana (1960), South Africa (1960), and The Gambia (1970).

Barbados is sometimes called “Little England” for its loyalty to British customs.

The move by Barbados comes as the historic role of the British Empire comes under renewed scrutiny, as part of a global reckoning on race relations and the colonial past fuelled by mass anti-racism protests in the United States.

PoliticsNigerian Embassy Building In Congo DR Taken Over By Police, Hoodlums by Ctorch(op): 7:22am On Sep 16, 2020
Police, Hoodlums Take Over Building Belonging To Nigerian Embassy In Congo DR After Evicting Staff, Stealing Valuables

Policr officers and some armed hoodlums have taken over a building belonging to the Nigerian Embassy in Kinshasa, Congo Democratic Republic, SaharaReporters has learnt.

The building, it was gathered, houses staff of the embassy and visitors.

The Jean-Claude Okito family of Congo DR had accused the Nigerian Embassy of encroaching on their land, claiming that it was occupied without any title deed by the Nigerian officials.

The family was said to have visited the place last month with a judicial order after which one Hajia Kadijah in company with policemen and armed hoodlums took over the building and evicted a Nigerian Embassy staff named Kazeem.

His personal belongings including clothes and other valuables were seized by the armed Invaders.

John Obi, President of the Nigerian community in Congo DR, described the incident as a national disgrace.

Obi told SaharaReporters that the evicted Nigerian Embassy staff now sleeps in his office as he is yet to be provided another accommodation by the government.

He said, “Police and some group of people on 24th of August, 2020, took over the residence of Nigerian Embassy in Democratic Republic of Congo. The Embassy staff that living their is still outside, they seized all his personal belongings including his clothes. He is now sleeping in his office.

“What a shame and disgrace to the Nigeria Government. Our National Assembly should call the Minister of Foreign Affairs for briefing on this and find a lasting solution to this.

“Also, one week ago, our embassy was burgled by the police on duty, who stole some properties including laptops. Up till now, no arrest had been made or any of the properties recovered.

If these can happen to an embassy, I wonder what will happen to ordinary Nigerian citizens in Congo. Nigerian Government should do something fast.”

PoliticsAccept Candidate Recommended By NJC As CJ, NBA Tells Ayade by Ctorch(op): 4:17pm On Sep 15, 2020
THE Nigerian Bar Association on Monday asked the Cross Rivers State Governor, Ben Ayade, and the State House of Assembly, to accept the recommendation of Justice Akon Ikpeme by the National Judicial Council as the substantive Chief Judge of the state.

In a statement issued on behalf of the association, the NBA President, Mr Olumide Akpata, blamed the governor and the state legislature for the lingering appointment crisis, which he said, had left the office of the Chief Judge of the state vacant for two consecutive weeks.

The association asked the governor and the state legislature to urgently resolve the crisis, which he said, was crippling judicial activities and undermining the independence of the judiciary in the state.

The office of the Chief Judge of Cross River State has been vacant for about two weeks, following the expiration of the three-month tenure of Justice Maurice Odey Eneji, in acting capacity.

The legislature, in refusing to confirm her appointment, alleged that she constituted a security risk because she hailed from the neighbouring Akwa Ibom State by birth, and only acquired the Cross River State citizenship by marriage.

The NBA stated on Monday that the reason adduced by the House of Assembly for refusing to confirm Ikpeme’s appointment was disturbing.

The statement read in part, “The failure of or refusal by, the government of Cross River State to complete the appointment of a substantive Chief Judge is, therefore, brewing a constitutional crisis and strikes at the very root of the rule of law.”

Reacting, the Special Adviser, Media and Publicity to Governor Ben Ayade, Christian Ita, said, “There is nothing the governor can do if he has not received any letter from the NJC (National Judicial Council).

It is only when the governor receives a letter from the NJC that he can forward it to the House of Assembly. Then if the House of Assembly confirms, the governor swears in the person.

“What happened in Akon Ikpeme’s case is that the moment the House of Assembly refused to confirm her, the governor does not have the power to override the House of Assembly.”

PoliticsJohn Emeka Akude, The First Black Elected Member Cologne City Council In Germany by Ctorch(op): 10:05am On Sep 15, 2020

African makes history as first elected member of Cologne’s City Council

On Sunday 13 September, millions voters went to the polls in towns and cities across North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany’s most populous state, to vote for Lord Mayors, Mayors, Councillors and the Integration Councils.

Many candidates of African origin participated at the elections. Results are now coming in. Dr John Emeka Akude, a Nigerian-born political scientist, was elected member of the Cologne City Council (Stadtrat). He made history by becoming the first Councillor of African origin in Cologne, Germany’s 4th biggest city with about 1 million inhabitants.

Reacting to Akude’s victory, Rahab Njeri, the only other African-origin candidate who took part in the election in Cologne said though she was not elected but all African-descendant inhabitants of the city were winners with the victory of the Nigerian-born politician. Both ran on the platform of Klima Freunde (Friends of the Climate).

Other results that have been released show that several African candidates won elections into the Integration Council (Integrationsrat) in their cities and towns, including Kevin Uguru in Essen, Pastor Lumbu in Dortmund and Elizabeth Kaneza in Aachen.

Integration Council – in some cities also known as Ausländerrat or Ausländerbeirat (Foreigners’ Advisory Council) – is the official representative organ of the residents of foreign origin in a city, municipality and district.

The main task of the Council is to represent the interests of the foreign-origin population and, above all, to advocate for integration and equality between foreign and German residents at local level.

Comprehensive results of elections into all the Integration Council in the state will be announced on Wednesday.

Sunday’s election in North Rhine-Westphalia is seen as a test for next year’s federal elections. Exit polls suggest the CDU with 36.2% of the popular votes emerged the overall winners in the municipal elections, followed by SPD (23.7%) and Greens (19.1%).

BusinessMusk Battles Bill Gate On Powering Of Electric Cars. by Ctorch(op): 6:52pm On Sep 14, 2020
Musk Says Gates ‘Has No Clue’ About Powering Electric Trucks

Elon Musk said that Bill Gates “has no clue” about electric trucks, responding to a Twitter follower about a week before the much anticipated “Battery Day.”

Musk was responding to a question about Gates’ “declarations” on electric trucks. In an August blog post, the Microsoft Inc. co-founder laid out his thoughts on the future of mobility, suggesting the world should use clean electricity to run as many vehicles as possible, though he said it “will probably never be a practical solution” for heavy, long-haul vehicles, cargo ships and passenger jets.

Tesla has said its Semi truck model, which was first unveiled in 2017, is expecting first deliveries beginning 2021. Tesla has been investing heavily in the model that boasts 500 miles of range.

Gates believes that future long-haul travels will be more likely powered by alternative fuels such as biofuels and electrofuels, because batteries are big and heavy for long distances. He didn’t refer to electric trucks specifically.

He concurred that “EVs excel at short-haul travel,” touting the sector has made lots of progress with increased competition and greater affordability. In the same post, he applauded several companies that would soon debut all-electric pickup trucks for consumers, such as “legacy companies like GM and Ford and new carmakers like Rivian and Bollinger,” just stopping short of naming Tesla, which is the maker of pickup EV Cybertruck.

Gates is the world’s second-richest person, while Musk is fourth, according to the Bloomberg Billionaires Index. The electric-vehicle maker’s fortune has surged after Tesla shares more than quadrupled this year.

PoliticsYoruba Summit Group To International Community: Stop Giving Nigeria Loans by Ctorch(op): 3:37pm On Sep 13, 2020
Declares Oct 1 As “Unhappiness Day”
• Calls For Boycott Of 2023 Election
• Alleges President Buhari Of Anti-restructuring Stance
• Reiterates Calls For Self-determination

The Yoruba Summit Group (YSG) has called on the international community and multinational lending institutions to cease and desist forthwith, from any further disbursement of loans and grants to Nigeria because of the bleak future of the country.

The group said the call became necessary because “subsequent disbursements shall not be countenanced as part of assets and liabilities of the Nigeria country that would most sooner than later be reconfigured or dissolved.”

The group has also reiterated its call to Yorubas to boycott the 2023 general elections just as they are advised to henceforth, consider October 1 as a day of “unhappiness” when they must tie ribbon on their arm as a sign of declaring Nigeria as a failed state.

The Yoruba Summit Group (YSG) in its reaction to what it described as “anti restructuring” stance of President Muhammadu Buhari, said the country looks irredeemable and it will be a waste of time to vote in the 2023 general elections.

The self determination group in a communique signed by its Publicity Secretary, Mogaji Gboyega Adejumo noted that the time has come for the Yoruba to begin to think outside the contraption called Nigeria.

The group also dismissed efforts by the federal government to review the 1999 Constitution as a “wasteful exercise”, noting that the ethnic composition of the members of the National Assembly cannot bring the desired restructuring. The group also alleged the National Assembly as an appendage of the federal government.

YSG said, “The totality of the Nigerian 1999 Constitution must be jettisoned and a fresh document produced, which will truly reflect the wishes of “we the people”.

As a way forward, the group urged the federal government to set up a “Technical Constitution Drafting Committee (TCDC)” to work out within three months a new framework into a document as basis for all ethnic nationalities to live in peace as collaborative neighbours, using existing documents in the public domain.

YSE said the TCDC should have the mandate to produce guidelines that will facilitate the voluntary reconfiguration and realignments by “ethnic nationalities, sub-ethnic nationalities, clans and communities as would later form the basis of their mutual accommodation to live together in a true federation or to actively seek self-determination in order to actualize their God-given human rights under international laws.

“The outcome of the TCDC effort is to be the subject of a National Referendum in order to secure the consent of the Nigerian people. The National Assembly is to adopt the Doctrine of Necessity once again, by making the Law with provisions on processes to guide the historic transition from the 1999 Constitution until the enactment of a new Constitutional order is attained. The new order shall be the basis of any further elections in Nigeria.

The YSG also re-affirms its earlier position that notwithstanding the ambition by a very tiny household in our midst, the Yoruba Nation and her peoples should not be part of another charade in the name of 2023 Federal Elections. We should not confer legitimacy to an exercise in futility at the end of which the gloating message of the conqueror shall be: “go to court.” We therefore wish our peoples to be wary of the insolent offers of Presidency positions, pitting South East against South West Regions. It is a ruse!

The statement reads further, “The YSG strongly believes that the current exercise to amend the Nigerian Constitution is a needless, irresponsible and surreptitious gambit to distract the various Nigerian ethnic nationalities agitating for restructuring, true federalism or self-determination.

“How can you ask people to submit memoranda to amend a fatally flawed constitution which ab-intio contains contrived clauses and entrenched imbalances which will nullify the aspirations of many major ethnic groups in the country, especially in the southwest?

“There is an unfair representation of many ethnic nationalities in the NASS because of our flawed census figures and unfair geographical division of the country into states and local governments done by military fiat by soldiers of northern extraction following successive coups.

“For example, the current situation whereby all the federal legislators in the southeast region, originally one third of the tripod that held Nigeria together, add up to just the number of legislators in Kano State should not be employed to amend a constitution which requires a 2/3 majority vote of the National Assembly. Similar distortions also exist in the southwest when we compare the 20 local governments in Lagos to that of Kano with 44. As it is, the North has been given a veto power over all the other regions combined. This shouldn’t be. That is why there is always the refrain “go to the national assembly” from the North whenever unfairness or imbalances in the polity are pointed out.”

The group said that every signal from the government, contradicts a desire for genuine change – from the President’s pronouncements since he came, his various actions, “the way various bills being smuggled into and sometimes by the legislature into the NASS, particularly, the vexatious Water Bill.”

YSG said it is unfortunate to note that the “Global Terrorism Index screams “Nigeria has Emerged as The Most terrorised country in Africa and ranked third in the world”.

“All our peoples, along with those of other regions are hereby advised to regard

“YSG being a Federation of Yoruba bodies hereby enjoin all member groups to think creatively and execute passive, peaceful ways and means of asserting their human rights. This may include the wearing of RED BANDS on the wrist or shoulders in commemoration of the blood of the innocents that have been spilled. These activities should commence

Flood Sweeps Away Two Children, Displaces Families In Lagos

Flooding in Oyebanjo Street, Ketu Lagos took two kids that are yet to be found .

Saturday recorded another tragedy as two yet-to-be-identified children were swept away as people battled flood after a downpour that lasted for hours and submerged many parts of the area.

The incident occurred at about 8:00pm at Oyebanjo Street, Ketu.

While the rain forced some residents to stay indoors, a few others suffered personal tragedies as the downpour and flooding led to destruction of properties.

The Lagos State Emergency Management Agency in a situation report on Sunday said a search operation was ongoing to find the missing children.

LASEMA’s Director-General and Chief Executive Officer, Dr Olufemi Oke-Osanyintolu, noted that it was discovered that the children were missing around 8:00pm on Saturday.

He said, “The agency received distress calls concerning the above. On arrival at the scene of the incident it was discovered that, around 8:00pm, two children had been caught up by floodwater.

“A joint team of responders comprising agency responders, LASG Fire Service and LASAMBUS was at the scene.

EducationFlorence Obi Emerges Unical’s First Female VC by Ctorch(op): 3:24pm On Sep 11, 2020
Professor Florence Obi of the Faculty of Education has broken a 45-year jinx by emerging the first female Vice-Chancellor-elect of the University of Calabar, Cross River State.

She emerged top after a rigorous screening exercise involving 12 other candidates.

Obi will take over from Prof. Zana Akpagu, whose tenure ends on November 30, 2020.

The Pro-Chancellor and Chairman Governing Council, UNICAL, Senator Nkechi Nwaogu, who announced the emergence of Obi on Friday, congratulated her for emerging the first female Vice-Chancellor of the 45-year-old institution.

Nwaogu described Obi as “an astute educational icon” and prayed for the success of her tenure as Vice-Chancellor of UNICAL.

“You can see the tranquility in this governing council. What we assured the university community is that we were going to be transparent, open, fair, and just.

There is a guideline from the Ministry of Education as to how to conduct interview for the appointment of a Vice-Chancellor. There are so many parameters we had to look into and that is exactly what we did,” she said.

She said Obi’s emergence is a victory for the women and said the 10th Governing Council expects her to build on what the outgoing Vice-Chancellor had done.

What I expect from her is to look at what the outgoing Vice-Chancellor has done, governance is a continuum, start from where he has stopped and ensure there is integration even amongst all the people that contested with her,” Nwaogu said.

Also speaking, Obi promised to run an inclusive administration, adding, “I’m happy and return all the glory to God. I have just received my appointment letter from the 12th Council as Vice Chancellor-elect. The process was free and fair, and I promise to run an inclusive administration.”

Obi was a former Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Administration, and former Commissioner for Women Affairs in Cross River State.

One of the candidates, Prof Joseph Asor, while reacting to the outcome, said, “We lost. Prof Florence Obi won. I came third. I have congratulated her. May God give her the strength and wisdom to pilot the affairs of our university. I thank you all for the support.”

With Ghanaians being regaled with news stories that Nigeria’s economy is contracting, security of lives and property not guaranteed by the central government, and businesses packing out of Nigeria with Ghana as favourite destination, older ones over there will be bemused to hear the mention of a nemesis as a constant and a near-maximum ruler: Muhammadu Buhari. Uh, wasn’t it the same Buhari, who as a military leader of Nigeria, in a fit of xenophobia, sent the Ghanaians packing out of Nigeria in an exodus-drive that has left its mark in the lexicography of Nigeria as “Ghana Must Go?” The designation “Ghana Must Go,” now used as descriptive term for a cash-store jute-like tough bag, has its origin in insulting and very shameful circumstance because Nigerians parodied the Ghanaians as having no better carriage-bag for all their years of toil in-country than a cheap jute bag to transport all they had worked for all those years in Nigeria. It is always with a sense of wry and dry humour and a heavy dose of guffaw that we chortled about “Ghana Must Go” in our national discourse. Those older Ghanaians who remember the shame brought upon their nation by the military rule of Buhari are now in positions to exact revenge on Nigerians especially now that they know that Nigerians chose to return this same Buhari in a democratic setting whilst Nigeria continues to plunge downhill. Thus, it was plain xenophobic attack against them back in 1984-1985, not that they were economic parasites.

Man (Adam) and Satan who first Existed or created.

(Genesis 2:5–7, 2:15–4:1, 4:25), God, or Yahweh, created Adam at a time when the earth was still void, forming him from the earth's dust and breathing “into his nostrils the breath of life.” God then gave Adam the primeval Garden of Eden to tend ...

Who is he? Was he created? When was he created?

Now , The first use of the name Satan is found in 1 Chronicles 21:1; chronologically, Job, which was written much earlier, surpasses this. Satan is found throughout Job 1 and 2. Satan literally means “adversary” in Hebrew.

Do Satan came into existence after the creation of man or Was Satan in existence before the creation of man. Who first Existed?

In that case Adam(Man) and Satan who first Existed? Or who was the first to be created.

Lalasticlala we need answers to this.

Bad roads cuts off fivry Akwa-Ibom Communities

At least five villages and two wards have been cut off from the rest of the state by the deplorable condition of the Nkara - Udok Atai Road in the Ikono Local Government Area of Akwa Ibom State .
It was gathered that vehicles had stopped plying the route , thereby impacting negatively on the socioeconomic activities of the people as pregnant women could not access medical facilities in the other communities .
Residents of the affected villages , including Nkara Obio , Ediene Atai , Osuk Ediene , Nung Idio and Udok Atai , have cried to the state government to intervene and save them from hardship.
A resident of one of the affected villages , who spoke on condition of anonymity because he was not authorised to speak on the matter , described the suffering of the villagers as unbearable .
He said , “ Right now, motorists have stopped plying the route ; women going to the popular Edem Obu Ediene Itak Market have no other alternative but to wade through muddy water to cross over to the other villages .
“ The suffering is unbearable , especially during the rainy season like this . Motorists have stopped using the road due to its poor condition . Market women , who have to wade through muddy water to cross to the other side, get soaked before reaching their destinations .
“ We are crying to the state government through the new Commissioner of Works, Eno Ibanga , to come to our aid and fix the road , ” the source said .
The state Commissioner of Works, Prof . Eno Ibanga , did not respond to calls to his mobile telephone as of the time of filing this report , but the Chairman of Ikono Local Government Council , Itoro Columba , admitted that the road was bad and required urgent government intervention .

If you have been to the area , you will see the deplorable condition of the road ; it is bad and needs urgent government intervention , ” he stated.
On whether the government was planning remedial measures to ameliorate the sufferings of the people on the road , the chairman said , “ You know how it is with government . The government of Akwa Ibom State is ever ready to intervene in such projects , but you also know the limitations .

Hausa man allegedly pretending to be mad in a South-South community nabbed by vigilantes (Video)

An Hausa man allegedly pretending to be mad in Umutu community, in Ukwuani Local Government Area of Delta State, has been nabbed by community vigilantes following suspicion that he was acting.

According to an eyewitness and an indigene of the community who spoke with a CorrectNG.com correspondence, residents of the community started seeing the man in the community about 3 weeks ago.

Though he wasn’t dressing in ragged, dirty and torn clothes as most mad men would do, they believed he was mad as he slept in open places and was often seen picking and eating bad and disposed foods.

Suspicions of his sanity grew after he was spotted making a phone call and exchanging number with an unidentified person in the community.

Following this, vigilantes of the community approached him in a bid to kick him out of the community only to find out that he was not mad. When questioned, he confessed to have been brought to the community by a person who is yet unknown.

PoliticsAnambra 2021 Election: 12 Aspirants Gunning For PDP Ticket by Ctorch(op): 7:33am On Sep 02, 2020
Twelve persons have declared interest in the November 2021 governorship election in Anambra State.

They include airline operator, Dr. Obiorah Okonkwo, United States of America – based surgeon, Dr. Godwin Maduka, House of Representatives member, Mr. Chris Azubogu, Senator Uche Ekwunife, Emeka Etiaba, Dr. Harry Oranezi, Dr. Ifedi Okwenna, Mr. Godwin Ezeemo, Chuma Nzeribe, Mr. Val Ozigbo, Uche Oligbo and Ugochukwu Okeke.

There are indications that more people would join the race in the next few months.

Anambra State chairman of PDP, Chief Ndubuisi Nwobu told reporters in Awka Tuesday that the party would give all of them equal opportunity during the primaries for the selection of the party’s flag bearer.

According to him, unlike what used to be the situation during previous elections, the state executive committee would not allow anybody, no matter how highly placed, to interfere in the selection process.

He observed that it was such meddlesomeness by people who claimed to be stakeholders that caused the defeat of PDP in the previous governorship elections in the state.

Nwobu said the party would avoid anything that could lead to rancour because PDP was determined to take over Anambra State to return the state to the path of progress.

He regretted that Anambra, which was debt-free before the emergence of the present administration, has been ranked among the highest debtor states in the country, adding that the people would no longer tolerate such a situation.

Meanwhile, The Senator for Akwa Ibom North-West, Senator Chris Ekpenyong, says Nigeria will be the winner if the South-East geopolitical zone produces the president in 2023.

According to him, this will help deepen national unity and give Ndigbo a sense of belonging in Nigeria.

Ekpenyong, a former Deputy Governor of Akwa Ibom, spoke in the state capital, Uyo on Thursday.

He said every section of the country deserved an opportunity to lead the country, irrespective of tongue, tribe or geopolitical zone.
