Politics / Re: Niger-Delta Leaders Reject FG’s $10bn Development Package by Cuche: 11:15am On Oct 31, 2016 |
afanide: Work will soon start in Niger Delta but that would be after the development of North East. North East Development is an emergency, the newly inaugurated presidential committee has been given a marching order on works to be done. Niger Delta will be considered by the 2nd term which is soon enough hopefully Nigeria will be out of recession by that time |

Niger Delta oil is a spoil to be shared and used for the defelofment of all Nigeria. The offshore derivatives belong to Northern Nigeria with the largest land mass, the greenfield down south is for the grazing of our livestocks. We shall resist any attempts to restrict the movement of our livestocks to any place in Nigeria. Peaceful co-existence between herdsman and farmers must be fostered by the armed forces. Our brothers in the army will escort Herdmen around in opposition states to ensuring they are not harassed. We support one Nigeria and so the $10 Billion Niger Delta development plan must not be released before the same amount is released for the rehabilitation, development and resettlement of war torn North-East. Politics / Re: Top 3 Things I Will Fix Before Leaving Office - Buhari by Cuche: 10:46am On Oct 26, 2016 |
nabiz:So it seems but I don't trust his promises. He will likely not leave office because he has over time made insinuations that nobody can solve Nigeria problem better than him, nobody has integrity, no one else can fight corruption, no one can solve Niger Delta Crises, no one can fix electricity deficits, no one can keep Nigeria one except him, no one knows all except Retired Maj. Gen Buhari. It then implies that until these problems are fixed he will not leave office be it in 2030. Tinubu, Atiku and many more arrests will be made to clear the way. Anybody nursing the idea of a new political party has a date with DSS, EFCC, Nigerian Police and cowed Justices |

globe16:Penny wise Pounds foolish Mr Obi and his smart ways Who do we hold responsible for these paintings called road construction? I could remember when the outcry was much about the shoddy works by the contractors, because many believed that the project costs were sufficient to deliver some measure of quality. Mr Obi assured a gathering of Anambra people that the contract included maintenance costs for like 10 years and that any contractor who does a bad job will come back to it at his own personal cost. Sweet talk! Some of the contractors said they could only do the job the amount that eventually got to them could manage, they hurriedly dismissed the issue of maintenance at their own personal costs. I think what Anambra people should do now is to plead with Obiano to take the issue of maintenance of these roads seriously if possible create an agency for it, with a fraction of the budget for works going into it. 5 Likes |

cktheluckyman:Amaechi Rotimi should concentrate on his job as Minister of Transport (a big portfolio for that matter) and re-invent some good name for himself. The perception of him down South as Judas is disturbing enough that one would have thought he'ld be in no position to be named in all dirty politicking since the inception of this administration. Had it been GEJ won the last election, Rotimi would have been somewhere close to James Ibori's present location. Now he enjoys immunity which he does not consider fair enough but is hell bent on engaging Wike, GEJ and Wife on a battle using all apparatus of Government at APC's disposal. I don't see Amaechi serving out this term as a Minister if he doesn't heed to wisdom and concentrate on his portfolio 1 Like |
Politics / Re: Buhari Can Never Win 2019 Elections by Cuche: 6:27pm On Oct 05, 2016 |
EnEnPeecee:History says that Dictators don't handover to 'nobody' simply because they think 'nobody' is capable and qualified. Dictators are usually life- Presidents or they are deposed, election is the least worry of a Dictator, they never lose an election. By 2019, all the dissenting voices including Jagaban would be cooling off in EFCC's custody. ICPC will be all out to ground defaulters of Asset Declaration particularly those in the opposition. DSS will chase most of the former governors and individuals willing to bankroll the opposition, out of the country. Forget 2019 except Osibanjo becomes president before then. So far only God can tell if Buhari has any good intentions for this country because the state of things has never been this bad and we are yet to appreciate his concerns 1 Like 1 Share |

mickool:Obaseki will win and he will work for the Edo people. I know Edo people are dissapointed in Oshiomole who did more of talking than working. History has shown that it is poor judgement to say that because an underperforming governor picked someone to replace him that that replacement must be a puppet. Obaseki is the better of the top two contenders. 2 Likes |

With this law farmlands and agro-settlements will be free of the cantankerous race To make it biting and ensure total compliance, law should have included clauses like: 1. Phone numbers of Police divisions to be contacted once a Fulani and his cows migrate around farmlands 2. Failure of enforcement officers to respond within 10-15 minutes is punishable by 6 months imprisonment 3. Sentiments expressed by Hausa-Fulani Police officers in hounding the defaulters is also punishable by huge fines. |
Politics / Re: Anambra North PDP Vow To Kick Out Obiano In 2017 Governorship Election by Cuche: 9:56am On Aug 27, 2016 |
Obiano has not done much on inner road construction, I feared for my car driving through that road from Aroma- Ifite- Unizik road, that few km road is very bad, however, he may have his own plans and priorities. Now that the flyovers are completed channeling funds to inner streets roads will not be bad. And to do more with little money he may have to use the State Ministry of works, equip them and employ experienced engineers as adhoc staff to do emergency repairs and constructions on the inner streets. |

No doubt is an aggressive performer no doubt but then we would have to endure masquerades, native doctors from far away Igala and Ondo roaming around Government house like native fowls. Ngige so much love for Circuit Characters amazes me. Also, Ngige is a mean fellow whereas Obiano has some kind nature with much attestation to that right from when he was in Fidelity bank. I don't think given the revenue and the prevailing conditions of the Buhari led government that Ngige will do more than Obiano is doing. One thing I like about Obiano is that he is pursuing the goals he's set with tangible degree of success and the enablers are also on point. 5 Likes 1 Share |

Very good of him to give little, he would have given more if he hadn't returned his share of Dasukigate to EFCC when they opened the door for freewill return. Olisah Metuh was not that clever and nearly died in detention. We need smart Igbo men like Obi in the Senate. Honestly, I will vote for him, he is a better choice. He should allow Obiano some space to work, my grouse presently |

Ebube used to be such a natural beauty, one easily notices her outstanding nature and manner from afar. I am talking of 2004-2008. This blending and competition for roles in the Nollywood has transformed her a lot via skin toning, she is no longer shy, her dressing now defined by Nollywood culture, although she retained much of her voice. The Ebube of then is much prettier than Ebube of now. She was then in the class of beauties like Mrs Rita Edochie 1 Like |

Abagworo:Are you trying to compare Anambra with Imo state? Okorocha missed it, big time, when he stopped paying salary. I heard the bailout loan he took from FG was diverted. Most states in the country really depend on the salaries of its civil servants to stimulate all other strata of Labour and trade. So not making available that money is a sure way to create poverty and much grumblings among the citizenry. 1 Like |

Like someone said the blueprint for developing Anambra state is crystal clear and Obiano is pursuing it with vigor despite the economic downturn. FFK crying on top his voice whereas majority of his Southwestern brothers are pleased serving the Fulanis. All Southwestern state governors except one are willing to cede part of their arable lands to the Fulanis for expansion of their colony (grazing fields for cows and donkeys). Leaders of this generation Hopefully Tinubu will be rewarded with oil fields (bounty) in Niger Delta when the sharing begins early next year, for single handedly delivering the Yorubas to the Fulani lords. Except, he has some other plans, I am yet to know the rationale behind a first class material and a Professor looking like a slave tossed up and down by all the Aminus, Nasir and Aishas at Aso Rock. We Igbos said no, we ain't gonna serve the Fulani. Nigeria must be built on Justice and Partnerships 2 Likes |

He is not daft' only because they chose to look the other way Forcing 10% of contract sums from contractors and blackmailing investors to part with some shares is corruption for some but a clever and legal means to affluence to others who are in Buhari's EFCC good books I am in support of war against corruption but the selective fight is what will likely make among other things, Buhari's administration a failed one. And this is will likely pitch the South against the North, facilitating the demise of Nigeria |

Till then nothing has changed about Buhari of today and Buhari of 1984 These investigation must include the sources of campaign fundings for APC in the last elections. All the Governors who made withdrawals/deductions from the Government purse to finance APC must also be called in. Anti-corruption war must not be seen as selective |

Toyota cars are good in many aspects except brakes. It should be seriously looked into, possibly a recall and replacements with more reliable brake systems. The problem is not only with its hiace bus and hilux, Toyota saloon cars also show unreliable brakes . They should borrow designs and materials from BMW, these accidents involving their vehicles are becoming too many |

Oby Ezekwesili spoke like someone who is a master of her trade. I don't think that phonetic Lady from Ogun state has what it takes to manage that portfolio, she has not accumulated enough experience for that; the same with the Banker at CBN. We need experienced men and women, and we have them in this country. It maybe that they have not been approached or that they do not want to be part of the administration |

Anambra is lucky to have Obiano as Governor. Not many will see the wisdom in this step. Yes, in conflict resolutions, the terms can never favour both parties equally there must be some imbalance in the compromises. The difference between George Bush Snr and Jnr on one hand and Bill Clinton on the other. Billions of Dollars that could be used to better the lives of an average American wasted Thousands of amputee Soldiers and permanently maimed ex service men Many more dead in revenge terrorist attack Both Bush Snr and Jnr knew no peace during their tenures. You got to love the man Peter Obi, he is so clever and cunning that I dare say he will make a good representation for the Igbos at the Federal level especially for a country where honesty in governance in abhorred. Here is a man who promised to resign from politics and to uphold APGA till the very end He is working behind the scenes for what I don't know. The moment Buhari's EFCC picks him up I can confidently shout from the roof top " Run Jonathan Goodluck Run they are at your door steps" What is he contesting for Senate ? PDP Vice President in 2019?
