Very poor media packaging such that even when Nigerians were saying it is not achievable within that frame of time, the guys were busy repeating the story going as far as taking pictures of Ugu I'm certain is not worth 1.5 million naira being payloaded at a particular airport. It is forgiveable. |
Politics / Obiano Out: APC In by Cuche: 8:08pm On May 15, 2017 |
Obiano decamp to APC or loose out - Kalu http://alabingo.com/2017/05/kalu-advises-obiano-decamp-apc/ So funny but it is possible. First, election rigging and manipulation of election results is still as it was in 2003, 2007, 2011 and 2015. Nothing has changed, every little gain in reforms is immediately overtaken by a gigantic fraud in the succeeding electoral process somewhere, some place and under the guidance of the same Umpire - the unrepentant INEC. And ofcourse, the political party wielding the Federal might of Police and Armed forces which sometimes dictate proceedings to the Judiciary. Gov. Obiano is not ignorant of the profitability of election manipulation for instance the one that brought him to power. The "Landslide" victory and frustration of electorates in Idemili North and Onitsha North/South. And so, will it surprise him to see a "Landslide" victory for whomever APC anoints as its candidate for the November elections. I believe that allowing Obiano a second term will be in the best interest of the State. His greatest achievement so far is the investor confidence and the relative peace the State is enjoying. Despite the economic situation in the country people are trouping to invest in various sectors and that shouldn't be killed. We shall have the best platform to crucify Obiano or baptise him a fraud if at the end of the second tenure none of the investments attracted has gone beyond the foundation level. I am yet to be convinced that any of the conspirators have the interest of Anambra at heart because if they do the sanest thing to do will be to allow the MOU's materialize. We all know 'Government is a continuum' is a mere slogan. To continue with projects left behind by one's predecessor is purely discretional. Obiano should not treat with kid gloves the threat of APC Champions because "anyhow" they must put up a firm challenge. His retinue of PAs, SAs, SSAs, Heads of Boards, Commissioners and other appointees must start working, each forming a community/town based strong group that would defend their votes if the needs arise. It does not stop at 20 million naira town's choose your project. He Obiano must build reasonable friendship with people that matter at Abuja. Courtesy calls, say hello to them when it matters and put the local conspirators in confusion per the cordiality with the real power brokers. He must build roads visible to all in the zones. Both Ngige and Peter Obi ( Obi's poor quality anyway) have set standards in spreading motorable roads and Obiano must be seen to tow that line and pace. It is a very useful campaign tool. Finally, It is interesting to note that the league of 8 or was it 12 extraordinary gentlemen that met at Awka last week to strategize on how to usurp power are not new faces to the Anambra politics but with exception of Ngige who is not contesting and maybe Godwin Ezeemo, I am yet to see the modest contributions of the gentlemen to the communities they hail from. I was at Uga not long ago home to the trillionaire "Family" the roads were in bad shapes. Is it not Anambra again? where rich names do roads in their communities So what will they campaign with, critic the shortcomings of the present administration? That will not work not after the APC 'shange'. 1 Like |

Politics / Re: 8 APC Aspirants For Anambra Governorship Election 2017 by Cuche: 4:30pm On May 14, 2017 |
For the past 2 years Anambra Central has had no Senator, the amount accruing to the seat, the constituency project allocation, the quotas in Fed. recruitments and the trickle-down to the Otimkpus, party men and the Senator's relatives has been in suspension ever since. That these gentlemen are seemingly unperturbed by the show of power exhibited by the APC led Government and INEC left me wondering what they can offer Anambrarians after all. It is high time they started talking to the APC Government apparatus that we need that election first. |

Politics / Re: Obiano Moves To Construct Railway In Anambra by Cuche: 4:15pm On May 01, 2017 |
I don't understand this rail project. Will it convey Containers from where to where and Is it included in the five billion naira project ? Modified I want to believe it is as a spillover from the $2 billion China Airport project because rail construction is not cheap. We need more roads in Anambra communities in the interim. Anambra South in particular has been neglected in road infrastructure probably because the opportunity they had with Barr. Chinweoke Mbadinuju was wasted. 1 Like |

I wasn't deceived by Mr Peter Obi's public show of humility. As far as I'm concerned less than half of what accrued to Anambra was meaningfully used during his time the other half found its way back to private pockets of cronies and associates. Where do I start the long list from? Not that bad against the backdrop of some Governors and cronies pocketing more than 75% of the money that came to their respective states in the PDP 16 years. |

Buhari's troubles are many and the wicked Chameleon called England will mar Nigeria. How can the least intelligent and backward race lead tribes of above average intelligence people. Is Buhari the best Hausa Fulani can offer Nigeria in terms of leadership? Nepotic, despotic, leader of murderous herdsmen, dull incapable of apt decision making, deaf to good advice, divisive in every move and sick. Leadership is not just about kwuruption subjects. We need a leader that will unite Nigeria through dialogue and enduring compromise. 3 Likes |

Kingsley1000:I don't rate him better than Chris Ngige. Assuming, Ngige had a complete 8 years Infrastructure-wise Anambra would have gone very far not just in quality but the spread of critical infrastructure. Something tells me that by now we should've had an Independent power supply. He has a very radical development mindset, I wonder what he is doing in Ministry of Labour. He is the kind needed in Ministries like Works or Power. |
Politics / Re: Willie Obiano's Quality Road Lasts For Just One Week. by Cuche: 11:06am On Apr 23, 2017 |
Africonji:Peter Obi was involved in Substandard roads. In fact, I don't think there was any road he did with concrete base in his entire 8 years including that of Madam Etiaba. All roads will not be concrete based because of costs, however, I expected some roads to compulsorily be of solid engineering because of topography, soil and anticipated loads. Ngige did concrete based roads at Idemili, Ogbaru and Orumba; Some other roads were contracted out to be concrete based but Peter Obi completed them with his usual laterite method. Minus roads Obiano has not done badly. I think as part of his second term campaign, he should look for money and get more roads done. At least 40 km of roads in each of the three zones. The Southern Senatorial zone looks the most neglected. |
Politics / Re: Willie Obiano's Quality Road Lasts For Just One Week. by Cuche: 10:49am On Apr 23, 2017 |
Igboesika:Obviously, that is a completed section of the road washed away by Roads can be done on laterite base like that one. Such roads don't last that is the more reason why consultancy service that will advise the Client/contractor on the structure and best design suitable for each area, topography and soil is essential. The lesson: All inner street roads must not be laterite based. |

Okorocha that couldn't effectively manage a small state like Imo. Uncompleted projects littered all over, salaries, pensions, gratuity and other benefits not paid. He is unperturbed that to lead APC Governors forum alright is a difficult challenge for him. How on earth does he want to steer a complex Nigeria? I will vote 1. Atiku ( not a saint anyway), 2. Tinubu, 3. Kwankwaso, 4. Ganduje, 5 Mallam El Rufai 6...15. Mr Peter Obi. 16. Mr Godswill Akpabio..20. Rotimi Amaechi...98 then Okorocha in that order. Any of numbers 1. to 4. are proven and tested to be better managers. El Rufai is rumoured to be a tribalist and has this unforgiving nature aside that he is a good manager as well. 2 Likes |

It depends on her concept of comfort and city com state. Example. A place like ABJ, people who think the way I do will prefer to rent a comfortable 2-3 Bedroom flat, pay transport or fuel a 1.4l car to work from any of the outskirts than Pay the same amount and squeeze in a self-contained BQ (attachment to Family duplex) and trek to work in any of the central areas. For the singles, what happens when family and friends visit. Some friends may need your roof over their head for upwards of 3 months before they could be settled in the new location like in new job situations. Don't lecture me on security and similar risks. Rogues operate anywhere once the mind is made up and accident can involve somebody on foot. |

AtlanticBreeze:Actually, there's a security report that some world powers are seriously considering giving support and voice to the yearnings for splitting the country. The recklessness of sons of uthman Dan Fadio and seemingly immunity they are enjoying being the crux of the considerations. As security men look the other way while they go on killing spree. How easy it is to comb the Benue and Eastern states forest for armed herdsmen militia but no authorization to do that. The cow dung always gives a lead on the trail/track. Prisoners of conscience like Mr KANU actually come from Prison to become leaders or at least have a say on who becomes the leader. The clever politicians all want to identify with him just in case. Not that they liked him and Mr Obi has this burning desire to be President of something whether Nigeria or a fragment of it. Let's see how OOO can make that happen. 2 Likes |

The Nation reports that Rear Admiral Ikoli was battling an undisclosed illness, which made him loose weight.
A picture of depression and suicide is painted here. If the police is serious about the investigations and nabbing the culprit no matter how highly placed. The Nation news reporter should be invited to name who gave him all these informations he put down. The person or group of persons who provided him these informations will help the police in the investigations. It looks to me like people who kill and buy over the press to paint a biased reportage that will becloud the clues. |

Owners of big farmland should have a perimeter fence or dig trenches around it as long there is no law proscribing the movement of herdsmen, they will continue to transverse unhindered in search of pasture. Unfortunately, cows can't differentiate maize, millet, rice crops from grass. |

kingzizzy:That possibility was witnessed in Edo State last year. But that is not exactly the same case with Anambra because Obiano's effort is appreciated across party divide. The voices against him are so insignificant and we all know it is from quarters that want to usurp power. PDP is a house divided against itself and the only person who can be a strong contender from APC is Chris Ngige but he is not contesting. Ngige to me is fearless and aggressive in nature, he personally surpervised projects and gave the contractors no room to cheat, the roads he did many years ago using RCC, are still motorable and very solid. |
Politics / Re: Anambra 2017/2018 : Why APGA Must Win By All Means by Cuche: 11:23am On Mar 30, 2017 |
Obiano has a better chance of winning than all the other contenders. He should do new roads or at least patch up the dilapidated roads especially in Nkpor/Obosi axis, Awka and Nnewi North. It is a very important campaign tool to garner support in these densely populated areas. Most people believe he has not done much in roads. I don't think Obiano has made much enemies to necessitate a gang up from the Federal cabal against him. From my observation he is a bridge builder and is at peace with most politicians with clout irrespective of party. He deserves a second term to complete the development of key infrastructures in Anambra East, West, Anyamelum and Awka North. It is important that the Oil and gas exploitations, Agricultural revolutions and the value chains are not abandoned. 1 Like |

Kobicove:Agreed because Obiano did well. As a governor he is rated above average. His second term will also enable the Holy Roman Catholic Church to consolidate its position in all agencies of Government. There are still few agencies under the leadership of non - Catholics in the State. Hopefully, in the next 4 years he will heed the counsel of knights decision to ensure we lead in all Ministries and parastatals. [ na play I dey oh ] Just like Buhari (Dorminant Fulani) and Osibanjo (oppressed group), Musa Yar'dua and Goodluck Jonathan, one day someone from the minority and oppressed religious groups will govern the State. It always works that way turn by turn. For now it is our turn. |

Tired of the hide and seek game displayed by this woman. It is obvious the money are proceeds of corrupt practices and acquired from traversing the course of Justice. It is so immoral for Judges to take money against the innocent. If she were to be my mother, aunt or a close relative, my advice to her will be simple- Forget the money, show remorse and cooperate with the EFCC. Magu and his team is doing well. It doesn't remove the fact that it is selective arrests and trial so far. There are many men and women affiliated to APC who are in possession of huge sums acquired in the last 18 months, who can't explain how it came by. Moreover, if it is about arresting people and getting them to explain how they came about certain money then thousands of people most especially in Lagos and Abuja will go down. 7 Likes |

What pains me the most is that he painted roads with coaltar, I dare say black oil paints at the same cost that could deliver standard roads, go round the state and see for yourself the state of those roads some are just 4 years old and not heavily used as well. How can somebody be cunning to himself? Obiano is so confused that he doesn't know where to start from, whether to patch or start a fresh construction. So horrible and multiple road failures 1 Like |
