Angelberry:Hello! |
@OP It's conventional wisdom that those who like to receive/preach about the importance of giving when they don't have anything (opportunists, leeches, too clever by half and covetous people) are never good in giving. Next time, choose your circle of associates/friends well. Well, still take solace in the fact that the hand of a giver is always on top. However, don't forget, cheerful wise people never give and "hope" that their beneficiaries will reciprocate same gesture to them in their time of needs, at worst they do "have hope" that their beneficiaries may reciprocate to their kindness when they have need. In all, I pray may your immediate need never consume you instead may it be a new source of worthy experience and cause of advancement in your life. |
pyxon:Say that to your wretched parents. At the risk of sounding immodest, I'm more successful- financially and otherwise than you, Peter and your wretched parents. You don't know me in person, do you? Slowpoke! Now, vamoose from my mention because I don't join issues with nonentities like you. |
Well, foremost, Peter has shown that he doesn't know what school is. The last time I checked, no known dull.ard anywhere in the world is successful, therefore, it means that any successful person one sees anywhere must have acquired some form of education/schooling. Now, the level and kind of school one goes/acquires varies, from formal to informal - basic to standard - advanced to professional etc and all these types of schooling are more of choice and circumstances and in the end all within this group are schooled. Also, that one is a Dr or PhD holder doesn't automatically makes the holder a better educated person than his peers that intentionally or unintentionally has no formal education or say that stops formal education after basic level (elementary six but still continues with self-education), instead it means that either the Dr or PhD holder has acquired above average knowledge within his choice of academic/professional discipline. Now, to the main subject issue here- MONEY. It's conventional wisdom that acquisition of money is no respecter of profession. Any one that wishes to accumulate massive riches is expected to commercialize his expertise/service/embrace entrepreneurship/ become a business person. This is so because acquisition of money has to do with profit and expansion not negating mastery of your line(s) of business and innovation. |
Only the poor and covetous will disagree to her postulation, which is by extension a conventional wisdom. Money still remain just a means to an end, it's never an end itself. |
People, forget about the OP and her illusory story, she's just an attention seeker- a big troll. |
My people with their opportunistic attitudes are at it again. I'd thought that this administration will be different from the previous ones. Is it not time when we would become an associate/partner to these countries you listed instead of to remain a servile to them due to our practice of opportunism. Wise people knows that manipulators feeds fats on opportunists and they do so with pride too. When a nation/people choose to relate with others in opportunistic manner, one only has the option to eat from the crumbles of the master-the manipulator. However, when you relate with a manipulator as an associate/partner with a diplomatic mindset and action (giving in equal or more proportion than you receive in both intellectually and materially), you cannot be treated with disdain and your inalienable rights will never be trampled upon. |
@OP Don't mind all these people telling you that your child is an "expressive child/ forming her own personality" ish. The last time I checked, The essence of coaching/training is to enable the learner to learn from the coach, simply put the leaner is expected to pay at least 90% allegiance to the instructor- obedience is better than sacrifice hence more glorifying. Therefore, the rule on how your adolescent child should behave should be your dictate not your child making. When she turns say 18 years, she can start to form her own personality and assert her expressive wish based on the virtues you might have already inculcated into her. The axiom which says, don't spare the rod to spoil the child remains divine. Be a wise, diplomatic, strong-willed, caring and loving father to your child. |
@OP You're confused. A sane and sound man don't need to be a mummy's boy to care for his mother in particular and other people at large. I, for one, I'm not a mummy's boy/man, yet, I bet you that I cares for my mummy more than a self-acclaimed mummy's boy like you do towards your mummy. Kindness is an innate thing. |
Believe you me, his comport in this picture may not necessary mean that inwardly he's undergoing any form of trauma, normally that's how most intellectuals comports. |
maiahsaiah:Young lady, don't mix up esteem with pride. I don't want to conclude that you lack the prowess of proper word usage. I have known most of my compatriots especially the underprivileged for their penchant in disparaging others when issues above their understanding and IQ is being discussed. Believe you me, you are too young and beautiful to behave like a narcissist - refrain from such bad attitude okay. I wish you all the best. |
Angelberry:Send me a PM or give me your email address here. |
Angelberry:My word is my bond. |
Angelberry:I'm here to prove you wrong. If you are single, not contentious, not too clever by half, have no sense of entitlement complex, below 32 years of age and averagely good looking with infectious smile then send me a PM. I'm ready to make you a queen and will treat you as such for the rest of our lives together. |
@OP Great men always live at the periphery of conventionalism. Consider it. |
OP I don't want to believe that you teach English in that school. All the same, try to iron out things with your employer's. It's always better to live on the offensive side of the world than to live on the defensive side of the world- this is one major secret of happy and long living life. |
@OP It's a sin for one to earn without giving equal and proportional service. So, if you are guilty as charged, either you resign honorably or beseech him to give you time to improve and mean it. Now, having read through your subsequent responses, I have to conclude that the problem you have is what many other compatriots have too which is "servile attitude". Change from a servile staff to a loyal, self confident, self strongly willed and opinionated staff. Whenever you see any mistake, call your boss attention to it albeit humbly and air your opinion. |
@OP It's only manipulative men that will give consent to your proposition. I, for one, I am an egalitarian no apologies. Propose that men should always be the primus inter pares over women I will agree with you. |
To what end exactly? Come on, it's about time the world will do away with anything religion- you atheist don't rejoice because you are not better. Let's all embrace irreligious but spiritual worldview and make our environments better. |
I concur. In fact, this notion should not be restricted to PhD holders only, I mean any post-secondary formally or self educated person who's unable to convert his knowledge to job and wealth creations should stop every claim of being educated. The essence of acquiring knowledge is to use it to make our environments better than we met them. |
@OP Many a time, most people do mix up gutlessness and laziness for introversion. Excuse me, from what you stated above, you come across like a gutless and lazy person and your introvert nature compounded it. Confident and hyperactive introverts never have issues at their work places or with people in general. I am a confident, maverick and hyperactive introvert and I command admiration, trust and respect of people wherever I find myself. |
As far as I am concerned, there's nothing wrong with women who long for equality with men. I am an egalitarian myself. However, I see everything wrong with women feminist proponents. |
@OP This is so because an average Nigerian is an opportunist who always covet and long to reap where they did not sow. No wonder majority would rather go to church to pray for miracle and astronomical progress in life while negating mastery of an art, hard and smart work. We need a change of mindset to succeed as a people, else majority of us will continue to be servile to the westerners. |
Majority of we Africans with our servile attitude is the main reason why the westerners always assume that we are inferior to them. Every sane and sound person should strive to condemn servile and opportunistic acts and attitudes because they are the worst forms of diseases that can inflict any man or country- they can never make one great. |
Have you ever had an encounter with a covetous but unambitious person before? Share your experience. I, for one, am in a fix now. |
@OP Good diction, me like. Meanwhile, I will suggest that you quit from the relationship. The lady in question may truly be love with you but that could be because of your great personality (as I can sense from your post and possibly any achievements you have made in life. Her own happiness alone will not be enough to sustain a marriage between you two, you too deserves to derive happiness from her which obviously her negative attitudes has not provided you so far. In the end, you are in better position to make your final decision. This is strictly my personal opinion and it's because we seemed to share in common a lot traits. |
lastpage:Slowpoke! I bet you 100 times your present life you can never best me in any sphere of life. |
isobayor:Sharap there you sycophant. I have more than 500 of your type on my monthly payroll. |
lastpage:Bro! Take it easy. From your ill-thought suggestion to present bank workers to secure larger quantity of loan from their banks to give them cover from being retrenched easily (a professional banker present/ex ought to know better that no bank will genuinely give you loan above your severance package without supporting collateral) to your lame claim of owning a plot of land you bought for 500k that now has worth estimate of 25m (I don't care when you buy the imaginary land since you said you have worked in the bank B/W late 90's to earlier 2000), I am in doubt if truly you have experienced bank work. |
olasquare22:Kudos! Now, I am satisfied with your answer. Actually, my company will soon launch a product on the Nigerian market and I always like to do things outside the conventional norms, thus the reason for my inquisition. It will not be a bad thing to have you as an economic consultant. Accept my humble regards. |
olasquare22:Thank you once again. I really understand all you said about APG. However, I am looking toward a "postpaid" service plan and a guaranty instrument that can suit such purpose. In a postpaid service plan (a situation whereby the contractor is fully ready to use his own money to finance a project until completion), it's expected of a customer (me) to be the one to present the contractor a guaranty instrument to boost his confidence. |
olasquare22:Thank you very much. Meanwhile, may I know, in a country like ours where level of trust is so minimal, assuming I still want to carry on with my wish to be the one to issue a guaranty instrument to my associate without need of giving him money upfront to execute a job for me, what bank instrument can best suit my purpose in place of L.C citing the fact that L.C is majorly used in international trade. Thank you in advance for your professional input and time. |
