Babzilla: WHO IS THIS DEMENTED MONKEY?Slowpoke , I don't join issues with never-do-well like you .The last time I checked "freedom of expression " does not give an ignoramus like you the right to soil successful people's image . |
Babalegba: your first post showed you as an individual of questionable morals while the second one showed your poor grasp of the English language. Environmental delusion is high sounding but is not a condition. Your parents should demand their money back from your teachers. And finally Nigerians will not be browbeaten by the corrupt apes you represent.Boy ! Learn how to chose your battle , before you get consumed . And for your information , no one in your lineage can match me in any sphere of life ... Usage of English language inclusive. Pauper keep off my lane . |
mekaboy: From your comment, you deserve to be in a cave where there is no civilization, because it is clear u don't know what democracy is about. Emeka offor should charge the man to court to prove that what the man said is falls. Police shld not have detained him pass 48hrs. The same lawmakers break the laws, the law enforcement agency break the laws. We live in a lawless country and its risky. That is why there is nothing to show for the billions we spend on security. You poor folks should give me a break , I know the 2 characters involved in this case too well . For one , Chukwudi with his fictitious name " Mr Bonny " and Emeka Ofor are from the same kindred and to the best of my knowledge , Emeka Offor remains the biggest philanthropist that has ever emerge from their community if not the state at large , and this guy happen to be one of his greatest beneficiaries , thus my anger over this choice of using the social media to tarnish his benefactors image . In the other hand , this guy himself is into drug pushing in South Africa , therefore he lack moral standard to abuse Emeka Offor either online or offline . Now , I wonder why you folks are crying for him , because Emeka Offor has used the power within his arsenal to fight back ... common folks , you get what you give , that's the rule of made men . Learn how to chose your battle ! |
Babalegba: why did you post something as dumb as that. Are you retarded or something. You must be suffering from environmental delusion . I'm not a dumb ass like you , so don't quote me again . Pauper ! |
That serves the fictitious " Mr. Bonny " right and I can bet that same fate awaits many of you in this forum and other online forums - all of you who derive pleasure in soiling the names of successful people , character defamation is a big crime anywhere , so folks better desist from such atrocity , if you have genuine allegation against anyone, the law court is the best place to try and convict someone ... enough of this "pull him down" syndrome everywhere. Someone who lives in a class house should not throw stones. Enough is enough ! |
Foremost , to me , an expert is someone who has vast knowledge in his/her area of endeavor and is up-to-date , irrespective of whether the knowledge is acquired via formal or informal education. What's your definition of an expert/professional in any field of endeavor ? You be in the know about the capabilities of the following two sets of people , which would you engage his/her service and why ? Sentiment apart ! 1 ) Let me use for example ,western part of the country , where Yoruba is the dominant local dialect : Someone from the western part of the country in the filed of building technology , who acquired his knowledge in this industry through informal education and is handicapped in the use of refined English , thus can not sell his service to you through English expression . 2) Formally educated person in the same building industry , with well refined English abilities in his arsenal , but obviously lacking in the in-depth technical know-how - here, I'm referring to people who uses formal paper certificate and refined English language to gloss their ignorant . |

@OP Although , your write-up makes some little sense , however you seemed not to know the true meaning of education , you come across as one among the multitudes that do equate people who attend formal institution ( especially higher institutions ) as they only learned/literate people ,thus the reason why you have termed the successful entrepreneurs you mentioned their names up there as illiterates - that's where you got it wrong, believe you me , all those you named up there are more educated than you ( no insult intended ), show me a successful person and I will point to you an educated person. My point is , that someone did not attend/dropped out formal institution of learning ( by the way 90% of people who attended formal institutions of learning are not properly educated ) does not automatically make the person an illiterate . The best form of education anyone can acquire is self and continuous education and the only place to gain this priceless form of education is via informal education- this is what those successful entrepreneurs you mentioned up there has . Thank me later for putting you through. That been said , I'm a proponent of sound formal basic education ( primary and secondary education ) . |

FIELD WORKERS- Yes you heard me clearly, filed workers are the nucleus/backbone of every successful company you see out there , so long as they are getting it right , be rest assured you will remain effectual. The problem with Mr. Biggs is the same problem with every other company locally or internationally which has crumbled/is crumbling, ineffective/poor filed workers . The management cadre in the upper echelon of every company has little role ( innovation and implementation of new ideas ) to play to sustain an establishment , this is the gospel truth . |
kaycrystal: He's innocent d same way IBB is, d same way tinubu is, d same way abdulsalm is, same as GEJ n d rest of d gang!Which law court of competent jurisdiction has pronounced any of those names you mentioned above corrupt ? I still insist that personal opinion of someone like you does not hold water . Maybe you can change the word corrupt with " poor leadership skill " , then I will have reason to agree with you that their poor leadership skills are the reasons why the country has not experienced the kind of rapid development we all wish . |
[quote author=Empero1]! |
solomon111: WTF are you saying.?The last time I checked , you aren't a law court of competent jurisdiction , and your personal opinion does not represent facts , so your assumption that he's corrupt is baseless - until a court of competent jurisdiction pronounce him corrupt , he remain's innocent . |
My compatriots and their pull him down syndrome, especially the poor folks present in this forum , whose mantras are : Every successful businessman is a criminal that must be destroyed at all cost ; Every successful politician is corrupt and the bane of stagnation in the country and their personal lives , therefore deserve nothing but death ; A successful career person is a pen robber that deserves nothing but lifetime jail . Folks stop hating the elites. |
Religious bigots and their hypocrite life styles - since you all agree that it's proper and effectual for pope/priests to grant someone forgiveness, then how come you all sees it as an abomination when government pardons criminals like in the case of DSP Alamieyeseigha , Bode Gorge etc . |
@OP The worst thing anyone who's sound in mind will ever do is living on others opinion , because the moment you started doing so consider yourself a failure and dead . Also , living life based on belief and fantasies will fail you on the long run, but living based on reason/realities will make you a winner anytime any day . If you are wise , surely you will decipher my advice , so also will anyone with mature mind and higher IQ . Wishing you all the best in your endeavors . |
@ frankmoney I would like to have private discussion with you okay . Here is my email address : snbrokers@yahoo.com |
Anyone of you casting aspersion on Fasehun is bloody hypocrite , because the last time I checked , " Forgiveness " is not a sin in Yoruba land and Nigeria at large - besides, Al-Mustapha was not even found guilty by the law court , which has the legal right to pronounce someone as such. Let's all allow the sleeping dog to rest . |
Well , it solely depends on what your concept of who a professional is ... If you are the type that shares in the school of thought that a professional in any discipline is someone who has an in-depth knowledge of his act, with or without higher formal paper certificate(s) , then you will have no reason to worry when entrusted your investment portfolio in such person's hand . However, if your concept of a professional is someone who glosses his/her ignorance with many higher formal paper certificates and polished English , but without in-depth knowledge in its act , then you are better off managing your investment portfolio yourself . Meanwhile, non of the options above can equal when you manage your investment portfolio yourself- all you need to become a pro in investment management is by continuously educating yourself in this area and embracing the guts to take calculative risks . |
blink182: this is what I was saying in some other thread and some ignorant people said I was talking nonsense. My guy , citing your postulation , you're indeed neither a vibrant politician nor a good student of politics . For your information , all the Abuja mights need to do is just to empower few independent minded ready for battle power brokers in that state ( this is already happening ) to neutralize the state grip of the party machinery and grass root followers , then the rest will become history . Amaechi my man should retrace his step , or if he has made up his mind to dabble into the battle full time , he should quickly go back to drawing board and apply Power Tussle rule 105 . |
Truly , majority of you are illogical . As far as am concerned , this deal is true example of trade by barter , and it's the best strategy any sensible executive leader , who has genuine interest to develop/update infrastructure in a country where corruption is high like ours ,can adopt . For One , the Chinese government will not be giving our government physical cash , rather they are coming to build the aforementioned infrastructures in exchange of getting crude oil in same value , so there won't be any means the looters in the corridor of power will embezzle it . All the government through it's designated ministry for the concerned projects will do is oversight function , ensuring that the Chinese government/its contractors do quality job . The issue of interest would also be paid in kind , that is through crude oil , so I don't see any wrong in that , capitalism is the best form of economic system . Let someone counter me , would it not have been beneficial to us today , had it been OBJ, during his tenure entered into this kind of agreement with any country that had the might to provide us with 24 hours electricity , while we in turn give them crude oil in same value with minimal interest rate payable with crude oil too . If that was to be the case, am sure by now our beloved country should be enjoying constant electricity , thus us having value for the assumed USD16 billion that was wasted on the same project without nothing to show for it till date . |

I hold Dr. Ezeife in high esteem and I partially share in his opinion that 2 party system will do us good in the politics of this great nation , however , my fear is that we don't play politics based on ideology , thus my reservation for such system at present. In a sane environment where politics is being played based on ideology , 2 party system do bring healthy competition which of course lead to good governance nay development , because money , tribal sentiment ,thurgery and other anti progress vices doesn't determines who emerges as political party candidate in an election , rather each of the parties involved always strive to present their best candidates in elections , but same thing can't be said about our own polity at least presently ,so for now multi party system/ two party system with option for independent candidates is our best bet until we are mature enough to live above mediocre . |
ohaleoghene: Pls is there any woman I can look up to in Nigeria ? Why just men ? I have a dream of becoming a big philanthropist, and to have the biggest fashion house in Africa . Is thetr anybody I can pick as a mentor in that respect ? Thank you |
Well , from my own perspective and experience , the secret of becoming successful at young age/ at any age are as follows : - Master an art through either formal or informal education and always remain innovative - Imbibe self and continuous education - Leaders are readers ( although, not all readers are leaders ) - Live on your own opinion , because living on others opinion is the easiest route to failure and death - Surround yourself with people who're more passionate and informed than you are in your chosen field ( chose your team wisely ) - Work hard , but never forget " Smart Work ", because it pays better - Expansion is good but remember that it doesn't equal profit- profit is what will keep you going - Positive mindset is also very important , because misinformation and misconception are very bad diseases Lest I forget ,have it at the back of your mind that theory is different from practical and that experience remains the best teacher ( our prayer always is, may we never be consumed in the cause of experimenting ) . And "quitters never win " they say , but never forget/undermine " Surrender Tactics" , because at some point in the cause of your journey to success you will need it and when applied rightfully will lead you to the desired promise land . Good luck to all who aspires to become successful in life . Bye the way , you don't necessarily need to attend any IVY league school neither at home nor abroad to become successful - having the privilege to attend one will only help to gloss that greatness which is already in you , for quick public consumption . |
@Originalsly Nice words you you've put up there . However, permit me to say your opinion is that of an enlightened person , who's not entrepreneur informed. @op , The time to start your journey in the entrepreneurship world is now ,because the moment you created a " fall back plan " , then your chances of quitting at any slightest challenge you might encountered on the process of building yourself becomes higher than normal , thus your failure rate is inevitable. Every successful entrepreneur has it at the back of their mind that the word " impossible " does not exist in reality . I'm wishing you good luck . |
It's obvious this write-up is the writer's personal opinion and view on this issue. The Obasanjo I know is not a pretender , thus wouldn't have stooped so low as in faking his own resignation as BOT chairman then ; with an intention to be begged by the president to remain on the seat . Common guys , let's always apply some common logic on some of these information when relayed to us , before we consume them as truth . |
As much as I like the type of politics Amaechi plays ( maverick and rebellious ), I however loathe him for despising others that share same political traits like him . If anyone who doesn't share in his thoughts and actions are traitors to him , then he should also know that he's being see as a traitor by those in his political party affiliation and associates whom he has divergent views in some of their ideologies - thus should accept in good faith any persecution that comes his way. " Tolerance " is one important trait I deciphered he's lacking as a politician . |
SP.Special:Excuse me , I think you misconstrued the true meaning of education , you seem to be among the multitude who always mistake attending formal educational settings and acquisition of irrelevant paper certificates for true education- Cram and pour as obtained in our higher institutions of learning is not they way forward to acquire true knowledge . Self-education is the true meaning of education, this is where the true knowledge lies , and it will always have edge over formal education any day, especially in his instance . As I always say, once someone has gained basic formal education , the other best form of education one can acquire is self-education , especially for someone who has passion for business or is gifted in any skill/art . Self-education will earn you fortunes , while formal education will earn you a living . This guy should follow his instinct ( so long as he's not wishing to drop out of school because Bill Gate or any other made person out there did ), establish himself in the business world , then he can enroll into formal higher education in the future to acquire paper certificate just for the sake of social strata . I advice in my capacity as someone who have been privileged to experienced both sides of life . Remember , what one do not belief can never be genuinely established . |
@OP Citing your presentation herein , I have no doubt that you have acquired sound basic formal education , this means you can afford to accept responsibility of your actions and inaction. Now, my advice to you is ; live on your opinion and I assure you , success will never elude you so long as you imbibe self-education in your system - Remember " Readers are leaders" .The truth is that whenever you started living on others opinion , you are dead already. People tend to mistake education for attending formal higher educational settings and acquisition of formal paper certificates , but this's misconception of what true education is. You/Everyone who aspire to succeed in every life endeavors need is to master an act and follow it up with continuous self-education . "Self-education will earn you fortunes , while formal education will earn you a living". Please , vie into the business world , after you established yourself you can then enroll into higher institution of learning to acquire formal certificate just for social strata . Meanwhile , always have it in mind that " risk not taken equal an opportunity missed " , but that doesn't translate that you should be jumping into non calculative risk(s), no . In the other hand, experience remains the best teacher , but our prayer always is , may we never be consumed in the cause of experiment . For now , I suggest you keep hold on your inheritance neither sell nor secure loan with them , rather try hustle up for money from any other possible means you could , to start off . Surely, you will fail many times on your way before hitting your goldmine , but never quit , however remember " surrender tactics ", it helps in many occasions . "Failure in not a sign of ignorance , rather it's an act of perfection ". Take my advice where necessary , but never live on my opinions . It shall be well with you . |
fubbyy: jonathan prepared himself? In which way? Impeaching the governor when he was a deputy or killing yaradua? Was jonathan the only person whom prepared himself ? What happened to others? Why is he the chosen one?Have you heard of the word " OPPORTUNITY " before ? As I said somewhere above , opportunity will never come, rather you seek for it , and it takes a prepared person to do so . Once more , I say " It takes innovation to become prepared and it takes a prepared person to seek for opportunity . |
