Regarding the highlighted, how can Anioma be one when some groups deny being Igbos while others accept being Igbos? Logically, in my opinion, its either you're united in not being Igbo or you're (as mostly likely) the case not united at all.

My Bro, this kinds of thread just irritate me. Actually, I'm beginning to have second thoughts about the usefulness of democracy. Roaches is the Governor of my state. Actually, his LGA shares a border with mine( and if you know how small IMO is , you will know that is a walking distance). How has that helped me or the vast majority of people in even his own LGA. What are his tangible achievements after being a governor for close to six years? These are the questions you should be asking not all this "reaching out to others" bs. It's the same way people failed to critically examine Buhari's actually record in public service and today we are in a full blown economic meltdown.

However, I was rudely shocked, disappointed (actually embarrassed) to hear her on Al Jazeerah - Head to Head announcing that "god" created Nigeria. Now I am not a religious person but I can recognize blasphemy when I see it. This woman was faced with explaining the raison d'être for her "beloved country" and the only thing a supposedly educated and intelligent woman in the second decade of the 21st century could do was a resort to vague superstition.

After watching that interview, nothing she does surprises me any longer, no matter how ridiculous; lying on the bare floor, taping her mouth screaming herself hoarse about false flag abductions. Nothing! I've written her off. I don't have time for the willfully deceived.

First of all, I am not speaking for or defending Joe Igbokwe, I am speaking for myself. There's been an alarming amount of hate speeches flying around Nigeria since the 2015 election which should worry any right thinking person. The speeches are not necessarily from leaders, but purely from ordinary citizens especially between the SE and SW (as usual).

I am glad you included "as usual" because it's the norm between them. If you go to any Nigerian Forum on the WWW. That has always being the same and it didn't start in 2015.

I find this sort of ethnic tit-for-tat put-downs silly. However, I am a firm believer in free speech, I will defend anyone's right to freely abuse and insult other ethnic groups.

It's interesting to note that the group that's being least likely to engage in this so called "hate speech" have also being more likely to engage in occasional outbursts of real life blood letting. Maybe there is something in "hate speech" after all.

Can you be so kind as to give examples? Please don't tell me about Nnamdi or some random ignoramus on social media because all sides are equally guilty. Please give me an example of an Igbo leader engaging in hate speech.

Nzuzu-kwe is a slowpoke. People don't generally 'hate' without reason. If you belong to a group, you should be aware of those reasons. An intelligent protagonist for change should advocate based on these tangible issues not paint everyone with the broad brush of bigotry just because he had the privilege of being born Igbo.

The statements of the Sardauna against southerners and Igbos is a hate statement. I had never known Amaechi to demonstrate any interest in Igbo affairs(to be fair, I've never heard him deny being Igbo either),but for the avoidance of doubt and to gain what he came to seek he surely declared himself a full blooded Igbo man that day.

Interesting aside here about Amaechi. If I am not mistaken he is of Aro ancestry, which may explain his stating he is Igbo.

Moreover Ikwerre isn't a single dialect. There are several local variations with varying levels of intelligibility.
