PoliticsRe: Why I Will Not Vote Buhari Even Though I Voted Him B4 by Curlieweed: 3:39pm On Dec 13, 2014
queencalipso:
I just hate nairaland politics, they can't argue reasonably without insults. Especially the buhari supporters, I can't bear to read most peoples comments because of insults no constructive arguements only insults and abuses. Some people really have anger management issue.
What kind of constructive arguments do you expect from janjawids? How Buhari will use the armed forces to defend our economy? Or how Buhari will stabilize global oil prices?

The absofucking truth is that Buhari made a speech openly supporting "total" Sharia when other members of the Northern Muslim elite were more circumspect in their support. His open support for Sharia earned him the unalloyed love and loyalty of the poor and dispossessed in the North (Religion is the opium of the masses). Most of the Janjawids supporting him do so only to take advantage of this block of ignorant support.

They know that Buhari is a fascist and not a progressive. They know that he doesnt have a clue about how a modern economy works. They are also aware of all the colossal sums of money that gets missing anytime he gets into a position of trust, whether at NNPC ($2.8 Billion), Head of State (53 suitcases) and PTF boss (25 Billion).

You APC lot are dumb. You call him clueless and In same write-up, you call boko haram sponsor.

The ND struggle is no threat.... it is a realiity with significant precedence. Rant all you want online but reality is staring you in the face.

Mobilize all the army to the creeks but all the oil facilities will be up in flames before you step in. Most oil majors are in stand-by mode as we speak to shut in their wells and reduce casualties.

Before now, militancy had no genuine course but your nomadic born to rule bigots has handed them a genuine course on a platter by labelling a performing president as clueless just to get him out.

Just sit, relax and enjoy the ride. Will be long and bumpy.
You don't have to be daft to be a janjawid but it sure helps. However, if you are outstandingly retarded you could become the presidential candidate. how else can you explain Apeeshit giving someone who has vowed to stabilize global oil prices and defend our economy with the armed forces a presidential ticket in 21st century Nigeria.

Answer that. Buhari statement is as a result of missing money. Stop spewing rubbish.
You will see your $20 billion after Bin Buhari tells us where he kept the $2.8 billion he saved for NNPC in his private overseas bank account.

He had to cut deals with everybody to become the consensus candidate
Only in places like Syria, Iraq, North Korea do you see sole candidates and 99% winning votes and that is what Jonathan wants
And he calls himself a democrat
I don't know why you guys keep repeating fallacious ignorance everywhere.

Which primary election did Obama win to get his second term ticket from the Democrats? Which primaries did George W Bush to get his second term ticket from the Republicans?

Traditionally, the party with the incumbent president avoids primaries (except in cases of extremely poor performance) in order to avoid dividing the base and take full advantage of the powers of incumbency.

Dear delegates,

Today is decision day.
I thank you for granting me audience. I thank you for listening
to me.
Today, it will be your turn to decide who will represent our party in the general elections. As you vote for the presidential flag bearer of APC, remember the future of the country in which your children and their descendants will grow in is at stake.
Make a decision you will be proud of in years to come. A decision you will look back on and with joy say "I played my part".
To all of you my friends and supporters keep praying for me and for our dear country.
We will emerge victorious.
Thank you!

I understand you nwanne, but I had always maintained that Ikwerre is not indispensable to the Igbo nation, and that with or without them, Republic of Alaigbo would still be great, they offer nothing we don't already have, but sometimes I just have to make sure that facts don't get twisted, for the sake of the future generation.

Ikwerre can exist independent of the Igbo nation, but they must not be allowed to twist historical facts to achieve that, facts must remain sacrosanct.
Thanks Bro. I understand, it's just tiresome. The funny thing is that a former counsel for MASSOB is Ikwerre. The man wanted to skin me alive with his mouth when I told him he wasn't Igbo. He basically said that those of us from the Igbo heartland don't understand the cost of being Igbo. He said that since my people from Nkwerre never had to flee their homes during the civil war, how would we understand what they went through.

Yea, Akalaka(destiny), the Bini man so ashamed of his Bini heritage that he goes by an Igbo name Akalaka.

His inferiority complex and hatred for his Bini culture was too much that he went further to give his sons Igbo names of Akpa Ohia( Bush bag) that gave rise to Ekpeye tribe and Ogba that gave rise to the Ogba tribe. And his sons and their descendants now worship Igbo gods, answer Igbo names, use Igbo market days, etc.

Akalaka must be a worthless Bini man, to do such, don't you think so?
My Bro,

These argument gives a false sense of importance to some people. Of what importance is it if Ikwerre are Igbo or not?

What do you need them to be Igbo for? How does Ikwerre saying they're Igbo benefit us? I don't understand? If they say they're Benin, then take their word for it.

Pazienza, Ikengawo and tonychristopher, i wish to remind y'all that the Federal Government of Nigeria having seen and studied the irrefutable facts presented by the Ikwerres, duly in its wisdom, proclaimed the Ikwerres a separate entity from the Igbos and entered same into the binding law of the land ascribed as the Constitution of the Federal Republic.

It has been Nationally accepted by all and sundry across Nigeria except regrettably, the Igbos.

Tonto Dike, Uche Okwukwu, Julius Agwu, Duncan Mighty etc you highlighted (without concrete evidence) might have used Igbo tribe out of convenience or most likely under duress.

It is daredevil Igbos like the 3 of u, who coerced them into proclaiming their Igboness.

For failing to accept the decision of a Noble people as we the Ikwerres and having the audacity to affront us over our decision, pazienza, ikengawo and tonychristopher have portrayed themselves as absolutely classless individuals.

A word is enough.
I don't know (or care) if Ikwerres are Igbos or not but it's regrettable that an adult from the SS doesn't understand why Rivers State was created. Even Asari, a proud Ijaw man understand's that your state was created for the same reason that the apartheid regime in South Africa created several "black homelands" or more accurately Bantustans, namely to divide the strength of the Eastern Region and thwart the aspirations of the Igbo.

That's also the reason I'm disappointed in my Igbo brothers who are busy insulting themselves over the Bantustans of Imo, Anambra, Abia, Enugu and Ebonyi arguing over arbitrary lines drawn on a map by greedy enemy soldiers. If I may ask Ikengawo, what makes Awo-Mmama different from any of the towns in southern Anambra, linguistically or culturally? I'm just disappointed in y'all.

On the other hand, you could be right. Even in his prime, he wasn't particularly bright. Recall the way he was looking like a mumu while IBB and his boys were crisscrossing the entire country openly planning to chase him away from office. That's why his baptismal name is Buhari. The man na mumu.
PoliticsRe: How Ikpeazu Will Win Abia 2015 by Curlieweed: 8:12pm On Dec 09, 2014
Ngwakwe:
This is no longer about party politics in Abia State but a rejection of a people by the so-called stranger elements in Aba.

Gov T. A Orji wasn't in PDP in his first term

We are voting Dr Okezie Ikpeazu as a political bloc and that's our choice.
Fortunately, politics is a game of numbers and Ngwa people alone don't have the numbers to unilaterally elect the governor of Abia which makes your resort to parochial sentiments all the sadder. Moreover, if you must elect an Ngwa man then elect a competent one.
PoliticsRe: How Ikpeazu Will Win Abia 2015 by Curlieweed: 7:51pm On Dec 09, 2014
Ngwakwe:
I am just trying so hard to withhold what I know and the animosity between Ngwa people and their Igbo brethren in Aba which has created almost irreparable mistrust between the two groups.

We have tested Ogbonnaya Onu, Orji Uzor Kalu and T. A. Orji, all from other zones, they all stole our resources (from Abia South) to develop their cities and villages at our detriment.

Dr Okezie Ikpeazu wasn't introduced into politics by T. A. Orji neither was his education a patchwork. He is respected by his people.

If your Ngwaphobia wouldn't allow you to see true son of Ngwaland control the affairs of Abia State and Aba in particular then leave the State until the eight years is over.
Stop trying to make enemies where there are none. Aba and by extension Abia is too important to Igboland to be sacrificed on the alter of ill defined parochial sentiments. We need an Igbo person that can do the job of realizing the vast potential that is inherent in Abia.

We also need a party (APGA) answerable to us running the affairs of our homeland. We need to chase PDP out of our states. They can run Abuja for all I care but we need people answerable to us running our affairs and focused on our priorities.
PoliticsRe: APGA Gubernatorial Primaries by Curlieweed: 6:57pm On Dec 09, 2014
zendy:
APGA with its major political base in the South East held Gubernatorial primaries in some states yesterday 8th Decenber. I would appreciate it if anyone can update us on what is happening in their states in regards to this but reports reaching me about two states (Abia and Imo) is as follows.

Captain Iheanacho, former interior minister, won in Imo state defeating his closest rival Okey Ezeh by 972 votes to 44.

Also Abia state, the former Managing director of Diamond Bank Dr Alex Otti clinched the APGA ticket. Otti polled 485 votes out of a total of 503 votes cast to defeat his rival, Mr Chikwendu Udensi, who scored eight votes.

The situation in Enugu is unclear but it is believed that there is an understanding between APGA and Governor Chime for his faction of PDP to decamp en mass to APGA should his prefared candidates not scale through.

I have no reports about APGA in Ebonyi state just yet.
Good news! We need to send PDP out of every state in the SE. APGA all the way!

PoliticsRe: An Imam Who Converted To Christianity by Curlieweed: 6:45pm On Dec 09, 2014
ItsMeAboki:
@op:
Sorry to burst your bubble, more Christians are converting to Islam than the other way round. In fact Islam is currently the world's fastest growing religion, even with all the negative publicity through the largely Christian dominated global media (though I am sure you'll want to disagree).

There many more examples of prominent Christians, including holy men converting to Islam; here is one - its nothing new, we are used to it:

A catholic priest from the island of Java in Indonesia who has woken up from a 17 month long coma has converted himself to Islam after the man claims Allah spoke to him and showed him “the beauty of the heavens”.

Here is more of what he had to say:

“I know nothing of Islam. Never once have I read the Quran but God spoke to me and asked me to follow him to the heavens and the Holy light shone through my entire being and behold the golden gates of heaven appeared before me and God told me his name and it was Allah” told the newly convert to a journalist of the Kalimantan Press.

http://worldnewsdailyreport.com/catholic-priest-wakes-up-from-coma-after-17-months-converts-to-islam/
As an African, I have no dog in this fight but the real reason Islam is the fastest growing religion is because Islam predominantly exists in 3rd world country with typical higher birth rates like in Arewa. Moreover, most people in the former Christian homeland (Europe) are disavowing religion altogether. The percentage of Europeans who consider themselves non-religious range from over 70% in Scandinavia to about 44% in the UK.

As for your stories of "converts", there are a lot of similar stories of alien abduction. These stories only go to proove that a lot of people in dire need of psychiatric care are sadly not getting it.
PoliticsRe: How Ikpeazu Will Win Abia 2015 by Curlieweed: 6:30pm On Dec 09, 2014
Ngwakwe:
Your sentiment against Ngwa man being in authority is hereditary and no need of joining issues with people filled with prejudices.

Majority of these people that are hypocritical criticising the choice of Dr Okezie Ikpeazu have no point than the usual Ngwaphobia.

Had T. A. Orji chosen anybody outside Ngwaland say Isiukwuato, there won't be this noise.

They prefer pretenders from Ngwa than contenders in Abia politics.
Do you care to explain how Curlieweed as an Nkwerre man would have a "hereditary prejudice" against Ngwa people? Are we neighbours? Did we ever historically compete for resources or markets? If you're talking about Aros, who we historically competed against for markets, you could be making some sense. This is childish. I expect a lot more from you.

Berem raised an intelligent question (which you ignored) and chose to indulge in some parochial inanities. The pertinent issue Berem raised is that your man who "has no other hometown than Aba" was given the task of keeping his hometown clean and has failed miserably at that task.

More to the issue, is Ikpeazu the only Ngwa man for the task? I personally know a number of more competent Ngwa people. You should feel some shame that a non-Ngwa man who allowed Aba (and the entire Abia South) to rot for 8 long years will be the one to choose your Ngwa saviour.

It is also quite strange that you should hold Alex Oti's Aro ancestors against him but I have never heard any of your Ikwerre brothers in Rivers Stare holding Amaechi's Aro ancestory against him. That is even beside the point. The two public officials who contributed most to making Aba great are MI Okpara from (Umuahia) and Mbakwe (from Obowo). Can you show me their hometowns in Ngwaland?
