Hehe let me rant small...hmmm motherhood is not easy oo but its all worth it. Alhamdulilah for making me a mother..Big kudos to all mothers out there.
After going through labour and delivery one will come and be dealing with boobs engorgement.. pls maamas how do u deal with engorgement and milk draining.. I have finished a pack of 50 disposable breast pad am on the second one now which is almost finished..My baby doesn't drink much..she only takes little at intervals... I keep washing bra day and night and sometimes I have to change top like two times b4 nightfalls.. The smell of b.milk is not nice at all..

End of rant..pls any advice is welcomed with two hands..tnx

Hey,sorry ma'am! Engorgement is painful, I can relate. Can u be extracting using a breast pump? And you can refrigerate it for the baby's consumption later.

Let her go for a semi-automatic washing machine, that's the best for her situation. It works like an automatic machine in that it is connected to the water supply of the house and will draw water itself when their water supply is available but it is also a Top loader washing machine, which makes it possile to put water inside manually like a manual washing machine when their water supply is not available. The manual washing machine is too much stress while the full automatic is not suitable for a place without regular water supply. So, Semi-automatic is what she needs.

U have to endure it. It wont become light until u ve given birth...say 6months after birth. I am a fair skinned person, during my last pregnancy, all the visible parts of my body became very white and fresh and everyone admired me but guess what? My stomache and butt were no sight to behold, OMG, they were extremely black that my husband and my family members used to laugh at me alot. My neck and face only got dark few weeks to the time i gave birth. My stomach also got darker immediately i gave birth but it continued to get better until like 6months after birth that it returned to normal.
I didnt have no stretch marks, so I am thankful it was only just dark.

Its my second pregnancy now and its the same trend, i am not applying anything cos I know its only for some time.

Enjoy it mama...lol

Can you whatsapp cos sometimes you need to use a tape to measure and I do same here to get accurate shoe size.

Size 3 cannot fit a 16 month o.
At 18 months my baby was wearing UK size 7 though it was a bit bigger than him

Lol...i was like you too when I had my first baby! You can use google and you will see pics of baby sleepsuits,bodysuits etc. And as per where to start from,some moms on this thread have posted "To Buy" lists, i cant remember what page. Any one that knows the page can please refer her.

Team July how we dey? Started feeling like 1st trimester again at 27 weeks with some kinda food aversion. Now i cant eat meat stew cuz the smell puts me off. Anyone feeling like their 1st trimester here again? I sha manage and eat the one i can eat make God do d rest.
As regards shopping, teamie lululuv u are really gingering ooo, saw that u have almost concluded ur shopping and me i'm just here doing notin . So ystday i shopped for some few bodysuits/sleepsuits after i realised its quite cheaper buying them here in lagos(dont know how possible that is). I had planned to shop abroad and have it delivered here but the prices i got in lag was better of.
Bodysuit- 3k for a pack of 7
Sleepsuit-3500 for a pack of 3 and they are Uk products.
Socks-1,500 for a pack of 4&5.
Shopping continues next week sha make God bless our pockets.

Lol ur description is so funny...so I wanted to ask...my doc and nurse asked me not to do d sitz bath...bcs d heat was going to melt the stitches... Dey asked me to clean d area with warm water and disinfectant... But a friend told me to start my sitz bath after my stitches av fallen off by itself...that way my episionomy site would av healed a bit..and wouldn't av d chance of loosening... That's OK too ryt..

I advise that you follow strictly what your doctor reccommends because he is the one that knows what method of stitching he used on you. Some Method of stitching will allow for warm water use without melting while some will not melt even with hot water.

My sis, if you are so scared of labour pain, please opt for a CS. I actually planned to have a VD but baby turned to be breech after my water broke so i had to have an emergency CS. I was 6cm dilated before the CS,so the pain was still very bearable. The procedure lasted for like 30mins and after some few hours i was able to eat. I would opt for a scheduled CS again and i would even advise my blood sister to do a Scheduled CS! You know why? I didnt go through labour pain. After the procedure, the pain was extreme but they kept giving me pain reliefs and that reduced the pain. The pain kept reducing everyday and by 1 week after, i was fine. Guess what? Nobody can see my scar cos its on my bikini area and i even got my flat tummy back. So even if i decide to wear a bikini to swim, nobody will notice anything. Whenever, i read how people describe the torment they pass through during labour, i always thank God for making my baby breech so he could save me from that pain cos i am not sure i would have been able to forget it in a haste. I have seen people who had VD and on their baby christening, they are not having all the fun cos of the stitches! The most important thing after all is for a mother to carry her bundle of joy and nurse joyfully after 9months. So, choose wisely but most importantly, involve God while making your choice. May we all deliver safely and may everyone celebrate with us!

Anyway you're better take casual leave, go for vacation. Come back and plan your birthing trip.

It has gone o my sis! I went to another clinic to see their consultant cos i am unable to see my consultant in my ANtenatal clinic,I only see Student Docs. Thats how the Consultant told me she used to have this kind of pain in pregnancy too and she knows it can be very excruciating, she explained why i was having the pain with some medical jargons so i couldnt really comprehend. She sha wrote out some drugs which i collected from their pharmacy, i was also given one paracetamol injection. Like an hour after i got the injection, i just started having this miraculous relief and then i followed up with the drugs and the pain is totally gone now. The drugs i was given were paracetamol( she said it was a stronger paracetamol than the ones we see all around), calcium, B.Co, and i was told to continue with my folic acid and ferrous.

Hello, proudly #TeamJuly#. My EDD is 23rd July,2017 and i am #TeamPink.
My 24th week scan says i may be having a girl but that I should do another scan by 30weeks to confirm.
You remember i wrote about my waiste/ left leg ache? Well, my mum just confirmed to me that she used to have that pain whenever she was pregnant with a girl. So that confirmed to me that I am team pink. I have a boy already,so i am happy about having a girl now.

Customised87 sorry.. i had the lower back pain too and got quite excruciating at a point, but it subsided on its own gradually. Doc said its a result of growth and stretches the body is experiencing.

Trendytessy hm my first shot was a horrible experience. My hand pained for good 2 weeks. I realised the problem must have been my taking it on an empty stomach that day. For the second, i made sure i ate well ehnnn and it was smooth. No lingering pain. Also the nurse asked me to not tense up but relax my muscles. I tried that during the second shot, and i can say it was painless all through.

OMG... I cant wait for it to subside o, it pains me so much that it makes me cry at times. Thanks

Abeg, i have been having severe pain on my left lower back and it affects my left leg such that i limp when i walk. Is any mama going through this and has anyone experienced it before? What can i do to ease the pain cause i told my Dr about it at my last appointment and she said its baby's weight thats casuing it and i should swallow paracetamol for the pain. I have been taking paracetamol but it doesnt stop the pain at all. I never had this kind of experience when i had my first baby. Na only me waka come for this matter? #TeamJuly

Hi Mrs sugar, im in houston too. got in on wednesday. the flight via emirates is looooooong. i have never experienced such in my life, my last US trip was on United airlines so 17 hours direct from Lagos,while this one was 30 hours total, abeg it was a lesson in endurance, food was pfft. Anyway, our POE story is similar and since i cant figure out how to type on nairaland unless Im replying someone, lemme just state where mine was different from yours.
1. I flew emirates, They asked for my fit to fly on emirates.
2.when i landed in houston, no body asked for a single document, not doctor's records, evidence of payment, like nothing, all my papers stayed in my bag, and i found myself asking them, sorry, is that all?
3. First officer asks what im here for, i say maternity leave, he says ure pregnant?!?, (cos i dont look it, if you're not looking for it), he asks if anyone is joining me later, i say husband, he says cool. any food, i say no, he says- not even egusi, I say not even that. Then i ask him if he's had egusi before, he says- does it taste like mangoes? i laugh, i tell him what it is, he laughs and says, sorry to keep me further, but i just need to see one more officer.
4. Then I got sent to secondary check where i was getting nervous for nothing. Officer said he just wanted to tell me I had done well by notifying the embassy in Naija and then he calls two of his colleagues to read the email the embassy sent them about me, then he starts to gist me about two other women who lied about pregnancies and how they were denied entry. I make all the right, "ehn ehn", "oh my" sounds and he says i should keep it up, honesty and all and ensure my hospital gives me a clear bill before i leave. He Asked how much i had but did not ask to see any proof even when i told him i don't have cash only card (must be my angelic face).
4. NO agric visit, the end!!!

She applied for tourist visa with her hubby, she is visibly pregnant at this time, during the visa interview she was asked if she is preg, she told them yes. They were denied visa. She reapplied, this time she plainly stated its for the purpose of child birth, the VOs took their passports and hosp docs and told them to come back a week later. My friend picked up the passports but to her shock, still denial.

Please what could have happened? Am confused. She has travelled with her hubby before (not USA), they are employed in good organisations so money is not the issue. She intended staying with someone in the US.

The denial may have something to do with the person she intends staying with in the US. Maybe he/she has a bad history with them. IMO

Good day folks, got our family visas renewed via drop box. Myself n hubby. Our first visa was solely for birthing. Had my son May 1, 2015 in Medical Centre of Plano Dallas. Visa expired 23rd Feb 2017. Applied March 1, got an email to pick up 10th March. Will be picking up on Monday. Applied and renewed in Abuja. I bless God and thank this beautiful e-family.

Bally got the highest votes that week only because Fans of Bisola and Efe voted for him, he does not have a fan base of his own.
Bisola has got distinct fans, Efe has got distinct fans. Do u know what percentage Bisola led with when she was up for eviction, same with Efe. Tboss only narrowly escapes everytime she is up. Thats too say she doesnt have that much large fan base. If Debbie-rise had been evicted yesterday, I would have feared that her fans will vote for Tboss and increase her chances so I am certain the winning tie is still between Efe and Bisola.
