ccemordi: Hello House, Wifey just got back from work today and gave me a news i dont know if to be excited or what sef..
She was picked with 5 other staffs to travel to the U.S by her employer on official duty but its Optional if she cant go because of her Condition. The 6 of them will be sponsored by the Company. She is pregnant and looks as if she will give birth anytime soon lol but she is just in her Second Trim ... I was initially making arrangement for her to have the baby in the U.S but now this offer came.
House please help me analyze this matter.
Do you think she should take the offer? If so do you anticipate any challenges at POE OR Should she decline the offer since its optional and stick to our initial arrangement? OR Take the offer and inform VO that she would also like to have the baby in the U.S......Is it Wise?
I am confuse o .. please my Gurus HELP I think she should take the offer. One mama was in similar shoe, she simply told them at POE that she came for a training and would be staying back to give birth as she is already due. I cant remember her moniker. You however need to be fully prepared in terms of cash, Dr's correspondence n all. It will end in praise. |

NaijaMama: Congrats on your passage but I am beginning to wonder, is there anything with accepting that we're giving birth in the US for the passport, so the child will have choices when he grows up?
Everyone seems to be spooling the 'better health care' story and from your experience, it appears they're tired of hearing the same excuse over and over.
sincere answers pls. Well, seems no one has ever thought in that direction but you could try it and who knows, you could just be opening our eyes to another reason to give to the popular question. |

lobus: Good day all,
The situation with my wife and I is thus. We have travelled twice to Dubai and once to Seychelles as a couple. Also once to Dubai while dating. We were both denied UK Visa long ago before marriage.
We intend giving birth in the US. Have doctor and hospital correspondence as well as sufficient funds in my account.
My questions are; What should we look out for? For how long must my funds have stayed in my account?
A response would be appreciated. Hey, why not check out interview transcripts of ppl on this thread? That would give u an hint as to what to look out for during ur interview. Also, you ll need to present a 6month account statement that shows ur monthly income and the closing balance should be sufficient for the journey. |

Omodadi2: Hello house, please what options do one have to pay for baby's passport? Money order, card, cash, etc. Just want to be sure. You could buy money order at the post office, you can also use ur card to pay as long as the surname on the card is same with the applicant's surname. I found the money order option easier though. |

Established: Please I need your help. Kindly help assess this for me. My appointment is next week. Please I beg you guys.
WHAT IS YOUR TOTAL MONTHLY INCOME FROM ALL SOURCES OF EMPLOYMENT OR OCCUPATION, AFTER TAX - 233 GBP (added both my salary and profit from my small business)
DO YOU HAVE SAVINGS, PROPERTIES OR OTHER INCOME, FOR EXAMPLE FROM STOCKS AND SHARES? YES
TOTAL MONTHLY INCOME FROM OTHER SOURCES INCLUDING FRIENDS AND FAMILY - 25 GBP (please does this include profits and gains from business as well. Because the 25 GBP I stated is what I get from friends and family)
HOW MUCH DO YOU SPEND EACH MONTH ON LIVING COSTS? - 110 GBP
HOW MUCH OF YOUR TOTAL MONTHLY INCOME IS GIVEN TO YOUR FAMILY MEMBERS AND OTHER DEPENDANTS? - 20 GBP
WHAT IS THE COST TO YOU PERSONALLY OF YOUR TRIP? - 850 GBP
THE TOTAL AMOUNT OF MONEY YOU HAVE FOR THIS TRIP - 1000 GBP
THE COST OF THE AEROPLANE, BOAT OR TRAIN TICKETS - 650 GBP
THE COST OF ACCOMMODATION - MY FRIEND
COST OF YOUR LIVING EXPENSES - 200 GBP
IS SOMEONE OTHER THAN YOU PAYING FOR ALL OR A PART OF YOUR TRIP? YES
PLEASE SELECT WHAT THE RELATIONSHIP IS OF THE PERSON WHO IS CONTRIBUTING TO THE PAYMENT OF YOUR TRIP? UNCLE
HOW MUCH WILL THEY BE PAYING TOWARDS YOUR TRIP? - 1000 GBP
WHAT IS THE TOTAL AMOUNT? - 1000 GBP
Please I propose to spend 2 weeks. I have a closing balance of 1286 GBP in my Personal savings account and 300 GBP in my salary account. If ur uncle will give you 1000Gbp for the trip, i think the cost to you personally for the trip is 0£, also 850£ is too much for airfare. You should budget 700£ instead, living expenses 200£ and the rest for shopping. |

TheLeakyTribe: Honestly even 36 weeks is pushing it.
I understand how we need to plan our finances well and plan our maternity leave and all the rest but I also believe one of the primary reasons we undertake this sojourn to another man's land is for healthcare we can't get in our own backyard.
The risk of going to Labour is high because of the stressful nature of the trip. More than half a day straight on a flight ain't no joke. Let's try to fix our trips earlier.
However people have done it here, if your pregnancy has been smooth sailing so far you can try going few days to 36 weeks, but make sure you walk around often while on the flight, wear those socks that promote blood circulation (can't quite remember the name right now) and stay hydrated. Compression socks |

May there be any issue of who transferred such huge amount to my account few days to my trip if they discovered a lump sum was transferred or i need not worry about the bank statement but just the account balance? Thank please advise. There can't be any issues, i suggest u hold ur marriage certificate to back up ur claim of who transferred the money. |

funtolash: Good evening naira land family. Just got introduced to this page by a friend and she did spoke highly of the quality and quantity of information/value one can get from you guys. So excited about that. So here is my case: I have a B1/B2 visa valid for 2yrs that I got last year june. I was not pregnant then and I've not travelled since then. Now am just a few weeks pregnant (almost end of my first trimester) and I intend having my baby in the USA. Here are my questions and ls forgive me if anyone of it is stupid:
1. What is the first thing I need to so in preparing for the trip. 2. Do I need to send a letter of intention to embassy. During my interview I was asked why do I want to go to the US and I said vacation. (Remember I was not pregnant then). 3. Is it advisable to travel with my 3yr old daughter. We were both issued the visa last year and both us have not got to use it although we've both travelled to Dubai before we got the visa. 4. At what month of the pregnancy wld you advice I travel. 5. When buying my ticket, what shld be the duration. I've heard people say 2wks while others mention 2 months 6. I intend staying in New Jersey (East Windsor) with my aunt. Is that advisable and will it raise a red flag at the POE. she is a nurse and also a citizen. 7.Any recommendation on affordable and good hospital in New Jersey. 8. My husband visa expired in Feb this year. How do we go about renewing it. Need step by step procedure and any information that would help the renewal.
Would really appreciate your response. God bless you all. Read the first page of this part 3 atleast, answers to some of ur quedtions are there. More importantly, all ur questions ve been answered by people who have put up their experiences. Try n go through the thread. |

I guess the check stuff is random cos I did not get a call when I applied for my parents .
I wanted us all to have a cool easter but time is running fast . I never knew easter was 27th until yday. Thought easter is always in April.
Though , it's like vacation for them plus my parents cos they will be spending 4-5 weeks except my sis that will be spending 2 weeks max.
My parents have visa already.
Should I go ahead with this Friday 18th for thier interview date or postpone it to a later date to give room for the "check". Payment was made yday at GTB and Ds-form was completely filled today. Yes or Nah?
Thank you my people Yes! |

I submitted my DS 160 form the night before my appointment date, and i was granted visa so i think they study the DS 160 form at the point of the interview. |

jossymama: good day friends in the house I apply for b1/b2 in 2014 I was not giving, fast forward she ask why in all the state in US why I am going to new/j I told her hv a friend that travel to new j and get nice things to buy for her shop the next thing sorry we can allow u visit now but u can reapply. My qus now is I want to apply again this year hv Ben to dubai 8times on business trip just came from south Africa last week so don't no how to stay all this apply thing because the first was don by an agent but now I want to do it myself. Any good adv how to go about it pls thx all wanting to hear from friends plsssssssssssssssss I think you were denied because you gave a notion that u would be doing biz with the visa. I was asked at my interview if i would be doing any form of buying and selling with my visa and i said no. So, u telling the VO that ur friend was able to buy nice things for her shop gave you away, and you even travelled to Dubai for Biz. IMO You can re-apply since you are sure of the information the agent filled on ur form, try to tidy up the fact that you are only going for a visit or vacation as the case may be. If u are going for vacation though, be careful of the state you will choose, as some states are not "actual Vacation spots" |

babyokujide: D notorised consent form is for what biko? And how do I find out which one a particular state will accept. Who do I call/email. I intend birthing in Virginia. Thanks dear You need the notorised consent form for your baby's US passport application IF ur husband will not be on ground in US as at the time of the application. However, the only way to know is to ask ppl that ve given birth in that state. If you are unable to get anyone who has given birth there, notorise the form and travel with it. If they accept it,fine. If not, ask ur husband to notorise at the embassy and send to you. Then you can come back and update the thread so other people who would like to give birth in Virginia later may learn a thing or two. |

The truth is that her ties is in issue and your mom sponsoring her is also entwined with all the other factors. If your mom dosent sponsor her, who will? If she says she's spending ALL her savings on a trip that soinds off. Will the VO hold in her favour , I honestly cannot say o! All I can say is to 'keep the faith' Btw are u related to motherlovetina? If not read her posts cos una story similar No, we are not related. BTW, they will only be paying for dre flight ticket cause its stated in the invitation that accommodation and feeding would be taken care of by the program organiser. Actually, i got my US visa while i was still single and i had only been to Dubai. That was in 2014, so i think u have a chance. |

Ronnie1984: Wonderful mummies and daddies...a beautiful morning to u all and I cannot fail to commend all those who have shared their knowledge on the various budding issues. Pls I have a little problem...I really do not understand the notary document thingy and how to properly get the consent letter arranged. I need to get a clear explanation as to processing because my hubby might not be going on the trip with me and I need to get the baby's documents out on time to leave on time. Pls someone who understands Shld explain to me. Na beg I dey ohhhhh. The consent form can either be notorised at the US embassy or by a notary public, it depends on the state u r birthing at. Some states accept only the US embassy notorised form while some states accept both. If u are fortunate that the state u r giving birth at accepts both, you can print the form from the US embassy website and give to a notary public near you to help u sign and notorise it. You shouldnt fill the form, just sign(u and ur husband) and fill ur ID card details, leave the dates and also the baby names space blank. You can then travel with the form and then fill the blank spaces after u had given birth. However, if ur state accepts only the US embassy notorised form, you will have to wait till u ve given birth, then your husband can print out the form, fill it and notorise it at the US embassy before sending it through courier services to you. So, u first of have to find out which type ur state allows. |
