Thierry Henry who is on a 2 month loan deal from MLS side NY Red Bulls came on as a 68 minute subtitute against Championship side Leeds United in the FA Cup tie at the Emirates Stadium. He scored the only goal of the game with his second touch of the ball and increased his goal tally to 227 after having scored 226 goals in 320 appearances in his first stint at Arsenal FC. Henry who spent 8 years in North London, won 2 Premier League titles and 3 FA Cups with Arsenal FC. He recently had a Bronze Stature of himself unveiled in recognition of his contributions to Arsenal Football Club.

^^ @ 4 play. No one is saying we know better than them. Of which we may but it seems we just dont know how to do things right by ourselves. Coming to the issue, the behavioural pattern (how they reason, how they behave and the mindset) of the people in the West and Nigeria is different. That is why a policy that works perfectly there will not work here. That is what they have failed to understand.

There is a grand conspiracy by the FG under Pres. Jonathan and the Western Financial Institutions with the way this subsidy removal is being forced down our throats. If you notice since Pres. Jonathan mounted the saddle both in acting capacity and as the main man, Nigeria's Foreign Debt has tremendously increased and its Foreign Reserve has been severely depleted. That is why in a bid for Pres. Jonathan to cover his tracks, they need to implement this policy without delay.

On Fuel subsidy removal, our government introduces policies, laws, rules & regulations without considering the behavioural pattern of Nigerians. They would introduce policies that are suitable for people in Europe and America to Nigeria where we have different Tribes, Regions, Cultures and ways of life. A place where people make decisions based on Religon and silly sentiments caused by hardship and suffering caused by the same Governments. Overseas, they conduct researchs and studies to know how the people will react to things before its implementation but in Nigeria, Government & its Agencies just impose policies and laws without putting the behavioural patterns of its people (how they think, how they behave in certain conditions and how they react to issues) into consideration that is why it is always hard for Nigerians to adhere to Policies & follow laid down rules and regulations. For example in a case where a road is bad and the Govt. which is thier responsibility, fails to repair the road and we all know its against the law to take the lane for motorist in the opposite direction (One-Way) but you see The Police, Army and Govt. Officials taking the lane. When you see those that made the law whose main duty in the first place is to repair broken down portion of roads and enforcers of the law break the law then Other citizens will too will be forced to take the lane but assuming the road is smooth and motorable then there will be no cause whatsoever to follow One-Way. The human brain is always seeks for a way out when somebody is in a tight corner and the solutions could be either right/wrong or legal/illegal depending on the situation. Conclusion- Fuel Subsidy removal is a good policy because it puts an end to the business of oil marketers robbing us blind thereby blocking wastages which in turn makes more money available for the Government to provide basic infrastructure social amenities & help improve the economy but unfortunately it also frees up more money for corrupt minds whom are roaming the streets looking for an opportunity to loot these funds. In the long run, this policy is bound to fail or it will take longer than expected before it starts to yield the dividends it was created for because Fuel Subsidy is not Nigeria's problem but CORRUPTION and sadly strategies to tackle it is still not being discussed.

Corruption as you all know is the biggest problem Nigeria is facing. It has ensured that nothing works in Nigeria and has made majority of Nigerians poor despite the abundance of Crude oil and natural resources. Our leaders past and present have all tried to overcome it with the creation of Anti-corruption agencies like EFCC & ICPC. Though they have been able to drag some big names to court and even succeded in trying them but they have not been able to put them behind bars and haven't been able to compel them to return the stolen funds therefor the introduction of these agencies have done little to eradicate corruption. It is reported that 90% of Nigerians live under $1 per day because of this situation many Nigerians have been pushed to the wall and would therefore do anything to make money whether legal or illegal. Corruption in Nigeria is now psychological. We see our public officers who were nothing before getting to their respective posts now swimming in sudden wealth which in turn has made the average Nigerian have the mindset that '' If i get to a position of authority , i'll also take my share by looting Nigeria's resources'' so you see it is going to be difficult to eradicate corruption because majority of Nigerians have the tendency to cut corners just to make a living. Therefore, the only solution to corruption in Nigeria is if the 90% of those reported to live on $1 per day start to live on $10 per day. Even if a man chooses not to work and decides to sleep at home all day, he should still get that $10 in the form of welfare. Then minimum wage should not be less than N100,000 though tax deemed reasonable should be collected from the class of people receiving these salaries and those receiving above the minimum wage. By doing this, the urge for Nigerians to make money by crook will reduce, they will not collect bribe, they will discharge their duties effectively and dilligently, N100 will not buy their vote, they will not seek to cut corners at every given opportunity etc. Overall there will be tremendous improvement in the quality of life. Only when this is achieve will corruption cease to be Nigeria's major problem.

@ noblezone. it is those that have ensured that no government institution is working would also ensure dat money realised from subsidy removal is looted. Do u understand why Nigerians are against this policy?

^^ I dont mean to join issues wit u. If truly u are in USA then i guess why ure uninformed about the current realities in Nigeria. Are the citizens responsible for the mismanagement of Nigeria's oil money? Nigerians are not lazy. There is no electricity. The cost of powering generators have gone overboard thereby causing people to get laid off. If there is 1 employment opportunity, 2000 will apply for the job. These are just are few points in many u should reason with.

IMF is concerned about Nigeria repaying its debt hence the support for subsidy. GEJ, Okonjo-Iweala, Sanusi are all IMF muppets. IMF Isnt concerned about the suffering of Nigerians but only their money. The way GEJ is going about this subsidy removal suggets that IMF is the one behind this policy that is why we should resist them.

Sanusi, the most intelligent man in Nigeria? Thats untrue! Under his leadership he ordered banks to remove all of their off site ATM's, few months later he's instructing the same banks to plant their ATM's back all over the place all in the name of transforming Nigeria into a cashless society. No foresight at all. Didn't he's brain think about that from the onset? Dats the same guy IMF is crowning the most intelligent guy in Nigeria. I see IMF is as clueless as our government. Rubbish!!

Its ridiculous the way those for a useless party like PDP and those for a party systematically robbing us blind like ACN can come out and support the the wrong doing of these groups of people. The revelations and statistics above just further confirms that there is no difference between our rulers & politicians. They are all a bunch of rogues only thinking about themselves and not their people. He was the back bone of 'Plantashun Boiz'. I dont now know where things went wrong with him but I guess it was because he was not really a commercial artiste because of the genre of music he took up after their seperation. Before the introduction of GSM into the Nigerian market, Nigerians still had a way of communicating with themselves although Phones have aided communication and it has made it the easiest thing to do now in Nigeria. Federal Government says removal of oil subsidy will later make petroleum products very cheap like Telecommunication but they have forgotten that the lives of Nigerians, one way or the other solely depends on Petrol & its brothers unlike GSM. Increasing its price will impoverish Nigerians and further reduce the little purchasing power Nigerians have left. What an insensitive government we have!

^^ exactly what what i wanted to say. He his an expert con artist. In addition:- Arthur Nzeribe- entered politics solely for his personal financial gain and grabbed all he could while there. David Mark- has been in government since God knows when and isnt showing signs of leaving anytime soon. The peculiar thing about those mentioned above is that they are always in the Romance section. Sometimes they make sense but most times they comment solely to be seen and heard without anything objective to say. These are the ones i can remember for now:- Lefulefu ( creates senseless threads and silly comments and he derives joy in bashing Naija girls), Mr. Cork ( just because he claims to be in the UK, he thinks he's in heaven sitted on the left hand side of God), Freecocoa ( seems intelligent & at times sounds polished but most times, talks like a tout. She's got the tendency to become a female thug), 190 ( Most times, appears very dumb and silly but since he went off some weeks ago, he seems to have matured since his return). Im not dissing these people but truth be told, they just love seeking attention and they seem to have made nairaland their Living room. Though they are more than these. Whenever i remember the others, i'll let you nairalanders know.

Never even knew he was from Bayelsa because he has never openly associated with the state before until now that the gubernatorial election is closeby. He has decided to join PDP (a nest of thieves and corrupt people) that means he too will become same of the same because he became successful with hardwork but mainly through government patronage. He should move to another political party other than pdp & acn and work his magic there so that i will be convinced he really wants to make positive change. Until then, he's just an unserious politician!

The issue on ground just tells us that our political elites are the same thing, They use underhand tactics to snatch power while its ordinary Nigerians that usually pay the price for their selfish actions. It happened to my HP DV6000 laptop. That is the syptom of burnt VGA chip on the motherboard due to excessive heat and its common wit HP Pavillion Series particularly DV6000 that have AMD processors. Though I dnt knw if the problem too is common with HP 630. Just ensure ur laptop is properly ventilated.
