I guess some parents didn't pray for their children at all or just didn't pray enough that's why we see alot of silly, rubbish and nonsense posts here on nairaland (please forgive me for saying this but its the truth). |
God bless all our children, it shall be well with them, they will be greater than us, we shall not bury our children, AMEN!! Let us learn to pray for our children from the moment they arrived into this wicked world till we will leave them on earth. |
Femmy2010, how do you arrive at the clearing cost because i see it varies? Is it by the vehicle model and year of manufacture + shipping line + your own fees? |
Don't wear shades/sunglasses/stunnaz at all except when going to the beach |
Femo, sure boy!! Dat thing dey work die!! |
@CRISTOG & ALJ_HAREM, there is no basis for comparism. In as much as im a fan of Fashola and a non supporter of GEJ because i was not satisfied with his achievement when he was a Governor until now that he's president and just because Fashola has performed well in some areas doesn't make him a messiah. Forget statistics, if you want to know if Fashola will achieve more than GEJ as President, let him first of all become the President before you compare him with GEJ and not before. |
When i first started visiting Nairaland in 2006, it was a place i got innovative ideas but fast forward to 2011 it is now a place where people air their silly and unreasonable opininions and these unintelligent ideas/arguments now make the front page. I pray that come another 5 years time, Nairaland should be more than it is and not slip into oblivion with the way baseless arguments make the front page. Moderators please do something!! |
Just because someone has achieved things necessarily doesn't make the person more suited for other kinds of challenges. Some people wanted GEJ, now that they have him see what we are getting in return, Just because Siasia excelled with the national teams at lower levels, now with him at the helms of affairs at the most senior level Nigeria won't be at next year's African Nations Cup, We all lauded Gej when he made Iweala the Minister for Finance but she is the brain behind the subsidy removal plan which when implemented will impose serious hardship on Nigerians. MY WHOLE POINT- The same people we put our trust in always foul up when you least expect because they are human beings like you and i. We should never overestimate the presence of people in our lives because without them, our lives will still go on. And For those of you still clamouring for Dora, take placards to the senate and request for the immediate removal of Ngige and the immediate swearing in of Akunyili!! |
So as Dora Akunyili isn't in the Senate now, Nigeria's situation as deteriorated further?? So she's Nigeria's/Nigeria's Senate's messiah?? You must be out of your mind. |
A Philantrophist but Overbearing. |
Calculative/Intelligent but greedy (doesn't know when to stop). |
For men- whenever they are matured enough (1) Financially (ability to adequately cater for a woman and the children they will be having together). (2) Emotionally (ability to stick with a single woman for the rest of his life). (3) Psychologically (ability to cope with the many issues of women and never letting their tantrums frustrate him). As for women- (1) Maybe whenever they are ready to have kids (motherhood). (2) Probably in fulfillment of one of their goals in life. And for both of them, other silly reasons like (1) Pressure from family members that they have reached the age of marriage. (2) All my peers and friends are already married or getting married and i don't want to be left out. (3) For the religious and spiritual ones-Guaranteed intimacy whenever they want it. |
Though i do it too but what is bad is bad. You guys should stop encouraging acts like this. Though people would say he's only urinating by the road side and nothing more but how will this country move forward when we are quick to defend bad acts and behaviour. |
Femooo!! Na u sure pass! More engine oil for ur engine! |

For me, it will be Etisalat's Easyblaze 3G internet Ad. At the beginning, they showed a car being revved by the driver while waiting for the traffic light to turn green like it was participating in a car race. When the light turned green the car got into motion and in started to increase speed till it was moving with the speed of light. At the end of the Ad i couldn't help but clap. If you drive on Nigerian roads and you are given the freedom to speed unrestricted then you will appreciate that advert. |
Which Advert Currently Showing On Tv Are You Impressed With? Tens to hundreds of adverts get shown on Tv every now and then. Some are just colourful but don't show the effectiveness of the product being advertised. For some, there is no correlation between the advert and the product advertised while for some the concept of the advert will blow your mind but on trying the product you will be disappointed. This thread was created just for the sole purpose of you disclosing the advert which you saw on Tv and you were impressed by the concept. Please don't hype any product just say the advert you fell in love with or without trying the product. |
Are you gay?? |
^^ nothing like not yet, NEVER! Im not from the North nor do i have any interest in Abuja whatsoever but they should move it to a zone just for the sole purpose of satisfying a group of people is not reasonable. The South east can develop in other ways apart from situating the capital in the zone by good foresight and well laid down plans.^^ nothing like not yet, NEVER! @ronkebp, dat is his style?? I laugh!! Instead of u proposing solutions to him you are encouraging him all in the name of style! Wat is style in dis one-is it the multicoloured hair or what? It seems you won't be different from him. |
Dumb suggestion by the poster! Just because Lagos(South west) has had it, FCT Abuja (North central) is having it presently doesnt mean it should be shifted to Enugu(South east) for no reasonable reason other than to satisfy ibos. Someone is proposing Enugu, another Anambra, another Abia, You for carry the capital plant for all the South eastern states. And don't forget that we have North east, North west and South south also existing in Nigeria. So far Nigeria is existing, the capital will always remain in Abuja and if you know you are not pleased with it leave Nigeria and go and create your own country (and even if the ibos succeed in doing that which is not even possible in the first place, they will still disagree and kill themselves over where to situate their capital because ibos are never united). |
^^ thats someone reasoning well. Im on my way to church, will be back to reply unreasonable , |
I have now totally confirmed that you are not intelligent @ afam4eva. Did i say that Arnold became a president in the US? Aregbesola was a just Commisioner in Lagos and did not hold any elective postion. Nigeria's constitution does not state that you have to be a native of a state before you can be appointed to serve on a cabinet. That was why he went back to his state to contest for an elective position. |
Let me enlighten haters like beaf and co. Lagos politics is in the hands of non native lagosians but they are yorubas from the South West. When they were standing up to be counted, where were native Lagosians? So far you are yoruba, politically you can make it in Lagos but If you are not pleased with the current arrangement, you can go back to your respective states because there's nothing you guys can do about! |
@all4naija. There are about 21 radio stations in Lagos so you have unlimited choices to make from. |
@afam4eva. Arent there Nigerians that are councillors and lawmakers in the US & UK?? Arnold from Austria was a governor in US so what's ur point. Pls do your research before making statements that are not intelligent. |
Same old problems that should have been dealt with in the summer. (1) We are not disciplined at the back. It seems the players are not always aware of their defensive duties that is why nobody goes for the ball while defending set pieces. We need to abandon zonal marking and switch to man marking so that we can utilise Mertesacker's weakness(pace) to our strength. (2) we need to change to change formation from 4-3-3 to 4-1-3-2 or 4-4-2 or better still 4-4-1-1 to enable us have additional presence in the opponents box. We really need to do something fast because i don't see Wenger changing approach early enough. |
How much? |
Heard dat he wasn't dat wealthy but he was comfortable so im suprised at his current situation. At a point in time he was my favourite naija artiste. He is a talented guy but i do think he just got lazy along the line. He better get his acts right. I believe naija's entertainment industry and the fans will welcome him back if he comes out with new and nice stuffs. |
@alethia. It seems ure aware of the situation in Jos. Most people that comment only react to what they read on the pages of newspapers. They have no knowledge of the true situation in jos. Early this year, almost all the soldiers in jos were transferred because some have been there for a long time & they were also accused of attacking the people they should be protecting. It was also noted that majority of the soldiers were northerners of hausa/fulani origin and also muslims and were accused of collaborating with the hausa/fulani/muslim to attack the native Plateau people(Note- native Plateau people are mainly christians) so therefore they were replaced with southerners. Im still worried with complaints against these new set of soldiers. |
@trae_z. I totally agree with you. Nigeria will move in the right direction only when we humans in it decide to change for the best. The war against corruption will be won only when i and every other Nigeria decides not to enrich ourselves to the detriment of others and not by the President going after his brothers, sisters, uncles , aunts, political associates, business associates (how many people can he go after at a time). Although i suggest intimidation by punishing those accused, charged and convicted of corrupt practices BUT WHO WILL BELL THE CAT?? |
@chelseabmw. Nice one there. No mind Mr, Cork, he thinks he's in romance section. |
