With all the instrument of state power, what has Jonaltham done to bring whoever is behind BH to book? Or, do you know more about BH than Nigeria's intelligence forces? You give a man all the tools, power and time to do a job and he totally fails and then blames someone else? If Buhari is being BH, why has not been arrested and charged?

Nigerians! Save yourself from this vicious cycle or why must you condemn yourselves and generations to a useless country? For the records, I carry multiple passports and going to almost any country I want is guaranteed but this is NEVER because of my Nigerian passport! Nigeria has not worked AT ALL since Yaradua and Jonathon became president. So, would you cut off your nose to spite your face? Why would you vote based on JUST a person's tribe or other narrow-minded reasons? How also can people suggest he should "groom" someone else because it is easy to say that, question is HOW? What resources does he have to "groom" a younger person?

Assuming that were possible, would you hire a 2-year intern to manage a conglomerate of 150 M+ and trillion dollar resources or someone who actually has done it before and can show you a list of things he accomplished with smaller resources and shorter time? The only (or major) reason he did not win is due to being rigged-out by powerful and corrupt politicians who do not want to be probed but keep stealing the nation blind. GEJ is a lame duck and since he became president his weakness and directionless government has watched while thousands of people have been thorn to shreds with bombs. But what has he done about it? Any vigorous criminal prosecution? Is the government on track to guarantee security of life and property? But instead, yesterday or so it was revealed that the Excess Crude Account now has been depleted to $3.6 B from > $ 40 B dollars since Obasanjo handed over. Is this how Nigeria plans to progress?

If a younger and stronger candidate does emerge also with a comparable record of achievement at a similar level, then Buhari may be less attractive but between GEJ and Jonathan? There is no match!

Interesting that he still wants to contest but that is a good thing that he doesn't give up on his goals and it's his constitutional right but there are TWO questions:

1. Can Buhari put together a team that will forge reliable alliances to make his run most formidable?

2. Will Nigerians look beyond tribal, ethnic and religious sentiments but rather, a record of accomplishments in voting for a candidate?

Someone mentioned about corpers' deaths in the north which is a regrettable thing but what has the government of that time and now done about it? If the government was alive to its responsibilities, any offender or criminal would worry before committing any offence because he is almost certain that he will be found out and punished commensurately. What has the GEJ government done about the violence? How about the BH menace, so much that even his cabinet members are alleged members?

In any case, if Nigeria wants to progress, it's time to elect a leader based on his records, assuming he also tries to show genuine interest in every part of the country, stamping out corruption, enacting policies that will develop the entire country and improve Nigeria's image internationally.

I see people castigating SR, then attacking anyone that thinks Joodfu<k Jonadense is the MOST useless thing ever called "President". Well, June is here shortly and it is sad that all most people will offer is RIP to the victims as the Nigerian government has not solved ANY problem since Jonnadense. So, what record has he got to suggest his stoopid utterances will NOT send more people to their untimely death? SR has a TRACK RECORD. BH sure has a track record of violence and destruction. Unfortunately, most people will only see what is in their minds regardless of hard evidence to the contrary. Haka_Nai nailed it good. While it is very hard to get a "perfect" person with all the glowing requisites of leadership, the constant fights on NL from our fellow Nigerians who talk only of secession (who will elect a leader to plunge a country into another war), revenge, settling of scores, under-developing everywhere else to develop a particular region, emptily boast on how he is better than everyone else, claims he is 90% of every part of the population in states in Nigeria, etc will be impossible to build the rapport to elect a president.

While there are mild and level headed posters (e.g. Ikenna), the rhetoric of 99% of SE will perpetually make it impossible for the North or West to trust it. So, how will a president emerge except Goodlloku selects an SE for president and does not get greedy, controverting his earlier postulations of not seeking a second term? Remember the guy usurped their party's so called gentleman's agreement and if he said zoning is dead, all well and good, how can it now be alive again when he leaves the position? Making change is one at a time and when most Igbos begin to seek common good of Nigeria, they will begin to earn that trust.
