You must be silly writing this useless English and claiming to be a student of Ife where I once bestrode like a colossus, graduating at the top 3-5% of my class and yes, it was in Engineering (Faculty of Technology). After that, finished graduate school where bottom suckers like you, pathetic spellers of common English words and poor communication skills, can never be admitted! You little boy artist are way over your head and out of line when you talk stupidly about things you don't know. Imagine: can your type dare look me in the eye in Ife if you wouldn't be sacrificed to the gods at New Bukka and your skull hung from the strings at Amphi? What a dumbass! There's no point explaining anything to you because you are totally incapable of understanding anything even if it smacked you on your ugly face.

PoliticsRe: Moving The Federal Capital Territory From Abuja To Port Harcourt by CyberG: 12:03am On Apr 28, 2012
^Hmmn...shows the base thinking of some people. A government with powers and resources to arrest, detain, try, gather intelligence, fight and kill terrorism, crime, kidnapping of < 1000 people and empower its 160M+ people, educate them, train them in every way and grow its economy, so that the < 1,000 people are totally isolated, captured, punished rehabilitated or killed REFUSED TO DO IT EFFECTIVELY. Rather, it will UPROOT his home base and run away like a coward to another place until the bad eggs arrive (only now much stronger) and then pull the base again until it is chased into the sea or relocates to a foreign country because IT WILL NOT DO THE RIGHT THING! Well, the suggestion is ONLY possible because the leader of the pack is a school child and mentally incompetent and totally inept. When Nigeria actually had (though imperfect) but STRONG leaders like Obasanjo, Buhari, Muritala, etc who know what it is to actually LEAD, this sort of ridiculousness would not even arise. You know that even when you want to be stupid, there are some people you should move far away from because they will summarily make you permanently unavailable BUT not this TOTALLY RETARDEEN.ED bottom SUCKER Goatathan Chimpluck!
PoliticsRe: Federal Republic Of South Nigeria by CyberG: 11:51pm On Apr 27, 2012
In my opinion, what achieves the exact objectives and advantages of a broken Nigeria is true Federalism or Regionalism. Let each state have all the powers it needs to govern its people, secure their lives and be responsible for its resources and development. Let there be a federal government that is only concerned with national defense, monetary policy, national economy, foreign affairs and no powers to influence any state. If this cannot work, then breaking the entire country into a 1,000 pieces will not achieve anything except weakness and while it may tickle some people's fancy to breakup, creating more problems for future young Nigerians with your selfishness will only invite curses. If your side of the country is embroiled in war by virtue of your stupidity today and your children are put to the sword, who will they blame? If your people need a visa or have no rights and people are hostile to them and they hear stories on how their fathers once lived in those lands for free, they will curse you. These are some things to think about and I counsel that before people jump on a band wagon, you should fully count the costs of your action because pity after the fact will not solve anything! For me, I will be back to visit you guys sometime 'cos I love Nigeria. If you mess it up, it's sad people will suffer some more than others but remember that some of us have more than a few passports! grin grin
PoliticsRe: Federal Republic Of South Nigeria by CyberG: 11:50pm On Apr 27, 2012
If Nigeria had only a few ethnic groups with pure homogeneity, it's probably easier to make a division on the basis of that but with 250+ peoples, someone will always be marginalized either now or in 100 years and such people will prefer that there are at least some "majorities" that can help to check each other if and when necessary. This is the advantage Nigeria has right now. It has been said many times on the forum and writings by others that some peoples in Nigeria are individualistic, do not like to be governed or have authorities over them - they prefer that each person does his own thing the way he wants. It's their choice but the nature of the evolution of human societies make it impracticable for any person or society to be an island. Even in Europe, otherwise separate countries aggregated to function as a bloc in some ways which gives them many advantages.
PoliticsRe: Federal Republic Of South Nigeria by CyberG: 11:49pm On Apr 27, 2012
After 2 years and 3 months, you people have STILL NOT DONE ANYTHING about this your dream! In 200 years, at this rate, this thread would be over 1600 pages and NOTHING WILL BE DONE!

Personally, I do not advocate the breaking of Nigeria except under very strict conditions which CANNOT be fulfilled. For example, every human being including babies, women married from another land MUST LEAVE WITHOUT EXCEPTIONS! Why? Leaving even one person of a different mentality will create the same problems Nigeria has now in another 100 years! But this is a condition that CANNOT be fulfilled and if anyone MUST stay, they will be removed to the fringe cities and have ID cards without ANY PERMANENT RIGHTS TO ANYTHING except the clothes on their back! Why? Some parts of present Nigeria are so greedy, help one person and be hospitable, they will come back chest beating and blaming their fine hosts for making their life so comfortable and claiming the land their ancestors never knew existed. This is the HARD and INCONVENIENT TRUTH. However, if Nigeria were to break because of its problems now, you can be sure that every hamlet would want to break as if it is a solution to its problems as soon as the current problems arise. Or, some parts would think this would give opportunity for expansionism which will not be tolerated. The oppressed parts will form alliances and friendships with far away lands and there will be a big slaughter and a big battle - you can never trust what a big monster would do for when you give it a "start" command, the stop is up to it when it's exhausted.
EducationRe: Bishop Oyedepo's Landmark University In Pictures by CyberG: 11:01pm On Apr 27, 2012
dadaic: Someone said, the politicians should do something this man has done, which is some way true, but then, they can't because...bla bla is watching them, but instead they go to other countries and create employment for people from other countries.

Now Bishop Oyedepo understands the level of unemployment in this country, and trust me, if so much was invested in building such school, why didn't he set up a company and help some graduates out there who don't have jobs, because you can't tell me you would accept a graduate to become a lecturer in your school, If nestle can pound in 4.5billion naira into the building of another plant which will in turn create employment to over 7,000 people, then i think that is an aim to reducing something, but then, you have built a school only for the rich to attend, and yet when they leave school, they have no jobs, yet, are not even productive in what they were taught, or the way they were brought up in such schools, needless to say they have no idea of what the word 'university' is all about..So in the reak sense, this is a major development in the sight of just one man, for himself, and making more money. That is my view anyway.
You are funny Mr. Man. For starters, if building these universities did not create jobs; did he build all of them by himself overnight or he called the house out from under the ground or from space? LOL. FYI, to build these structures, he has created and generated more economic activities in the real sector than some states of the country who just take oil money and loot the coffers into insolvency! In case you don't get it, several hundreds of workmen would have been involved to physically build the structure, project managers, architects, cooks and food sellers (to feed the workmen), drivers, cement (dangote, etc), gas or diesel stations, etc. Now after it's all built and school starts, is it not human beings that will be the professors and teachers in the school or that is not employment? The buildings need to be maintained, looked after, repainted, swept, etc is that not employment? As for the comment about the rich going to the school, how much do you think Nigerian students pay in foreign countries or do you think it is cheaper? In fact, you will pay out of state tuition fees which could be at least 2X that of a resident. So, school fees of 20K - 30K per year could be expected but how much does he charge in Covenant Uni? Someone said 350K, Unilag now charges 350K or do you want the place run aground because charges are so insufficient to run the place to standard until it fold-up?

Finally, he does not OWE you or anyone a JOB or to CREATE even a shitting toilet - what have you done for yourself or anyone? He never said he is an entrepreneur, that is what Adenuga, Dangote, Otedola...and YOUR OWN SELF do or can do and another person "manufactures" the man power that will run the country and businesses. Mr. Man, go and contribute something first and stop complaining!
EducationRe: Bishop Oyedepo's Landmark University In Pictures by CyberG: 10:49pm On Apr 27, 2012
erad: Lol... Very funny ironic country. A country where d poor contribute to d making of sumfin gud n can't reap d benefit of that thing... A country where religion has eroded common sense... A country where thousands of loyal church members weep day n night dt their kids haven't gained admission despite performing well in required exams meanwhile their general overseer actually has he school dey can't afford to tk their kids too... I'm nt against anybody o, jst saying ma own... Pls let Pastor Oyedepo tell us if he didn't attend a missionary sch at any stage of his life n let us knw hw much he paid to attend dose schools at all levels. If dis was hw dose missionary schools charged back den, will he be wat he is todayhuh Let's be rational pls... To me, d church in general of today has lost its purpose...
For starters, I am not Oyedepo's mouth piece. Here: I think the level of intellectual discourse is declining so fast among most Nigerians and pathetically in Ife - certainly not the Great Ife I attended just a few years ago. Mr. Man, use your brain and answer the following questions:

1. Can you tell us how missionary schools of those days was funded? Teachers, principals, janitors, etc were hired and paid, did they work for free and if not, who paid to run the school?

2. If kids and people wept day and night to get into university, it means among other things that opportunities (or spaces) in school is limited. So for example, these days >1 Million students need to find places in university and assuming even a 50% were admissible after passing, are there enough schools and course of their choice available? If not, whose job is it to build schools, equip and run them? If the person has not done his job properly for > 20 years, and YOU yourself have NOT built even a nursery school yet, do you have a right to complain or rather commend someone who does?

3. Do you know that Oyedepo works harder than you have ever worked all your life, has a wife and kids and assuming (just assuming) he had so much money, who should he take care of? His family or millions of Nigerians who let thieves steal their commonwealth while defending them?

4. If you score high marks (I mean not just merely attain minimum passing scores), you will be admitted. Even in foreign universities (and I know what I am talking about 'cos I've been there), you are told explicitly that attaining and surpassing the minimum requirements is NOT a guarantee for admission. Even in a course, scoring 90% will not necessarily mean you get an A because if most of your other classmates are scoring 99.5%..99%...98% and class average sits at 94%, you could be staring down a D or E very easily.
PoliticsRe: Re: Thisday Bombings - Is GEJ Back In Nigeria? by CyberG: 8:42pm On Apr 27, 2012
Why would a dumbass school child fly back to Nigeria because of an ordinary bomb? Someone selected on the alter of tribalism and religion knows he doesn't owe you nada so far as he can keep stoking the narrow interests and paying them to sabotage the entire country.

EducationRe: Bishop Oyedepo's Landmark University In Pictures by CyberG: 8:33pm On Apr 27, 2012
Either some people are just utterly stupid or born insane from the comments they are making! How can you fault someone who started from ZERO, no government appointment or contract and is investing billions of dollars inside Nigeria without running a business in the US, UK, Canada, etc or owning an oil well! Yet your elected leaders steal the country blind, almost completely consumed a $60 B foreign reserve, ECA account, etc removed subsidy so you can pay more to steal and yet you defend them because he is from your tribe or has no shoes or you're benefiting from the theft! But now someone does the complete opposite and even more and you slander him, complain, what do you really want? Look, I went to Ife but that school started ONE day and everything has a beginning! Ife and co cannot admit everyone even if they wanted to and would you rather spend the money stolen by your father in a Ghanaian University than spend it in a school that has everything you are looking for and more? People be reasonable and grow some brain!
PoliticsRe: Moving The Federal Capital Territory From Abuja To Port Harcourt by CyberG: 4:17pm On Apr 27, 2012
So running away to the South and spending billions of dollars to re-invent the wheel is more expedient than having a government that can stand to do it's job of protecting every part of the country? What if after running to the new capital, another problem or same problem repeats, then the government will run again into the sea to build a capital?
PoliticsRe: Jonathan Commisssions Enugu International Airport (picture) by CyberG: 5:04am On Apr 27, 2012
^ What is the fight again now? If the airport was not finished before commissioning and now it is being finished before use, is it not better than getting people killed while trying to use this facility?

Beyond that, let's call a spade a spade: Jonathan, Chime, and other politicians sold people a dummy commissioning an unfinished project. That is 419 in case people don't see it that way. As for Rochas, he may be liked by some people but running for presidency of a country is beyond being liked by some people. Let him show a sample of what he can do by running Imo State so well everyone will be falling over to cast their votes for him. don't start mentioning the name of someone who has not graduated from "university" to hand over a $300 Billion+ company to him! See what the school child turned president who did the same recently has turned the country into?
RomanceRe: How Do I Convince This Girl To Accept My Proposal. by CyberG: 2:42am On Apr 27, 2012
Don't make a hasty decision but at the same time, you should marry someone who TOTALLY loves you, not one who is double guessing herself. Look, if you go with someone that totally loves you, then you can grow in love but the other girl not sure yet etc, you will be working hard all your life to please her. As a guy, don't give up your advantage otherwise when she starts insulting you, you will be the one to apologize. A woman will never appreciate a guy who she perceives as "easy" or a relationship in which she feels she calls the shots. Don't lay a crappy foundation now only to be wondering why she doesn't listen to you in future.

Look, for a girlfriend, bangmate, this rule does NOT apply and you must see the difference. If it is just a girlfriend issue, it doesn't matter so far as you get to bang her silly, it will be much easier to leave sef 'cos her attitude will be enough reason and you wouldn't care whether she did too much shakara or some other guy is involved for as long as you balance the account in your favour. Again, don't forcefully convince someone you want to marry o (especially as a guy who has something to offer) otherwise, one day she may turn around and blame you saying you were the one that pressured her and she had "other options" then.
RomanceRe: I've Been Told That He Is A DOG!!!!! by CyberG: 2:23am On Apr 27, 2012
Hmmmnn...this is serious and your question is best answered most accurately with a crystal ball but what human knows what will happen exactly if you dated this guy? It all boils down to asking yourself simple questions and answering very honestly based on what favours you:

1. Everything is a risk, are you prepared for the worst if it doesn't work out?
2. He is older with kids, would that not bother you after the initial shine of a new guy wear off?
3. What do you want from him, long term - marriage, sex or companionship?
4. Would you not be looking at the younger guys sooner than later if your aunt, cousins, etc ask you probing questions?
5. In your heart, do you honestly want him and can handle whatever comes out of it without bitterness? Note that this guys doesn't seem to have hidden his "badness" from you so proceed with two eyes open!

But in another vein, this idea is the more reason why IP addresses should be blocked otherwise, as soon as some losers realize that it's only their fellow "team members" that are reading or responding to their posts, they will bombard Nairaland with new ID / user names defeating the original purpose. This will in turn artificially swell the number of users, create more headaches for admins managing the site, etc! But yes, I subscribe to this idea! grin grin

However, would you prefer someone who rightly or wrongly expressed his position in public (you see it and can criticize it) or someone who would silently kill, steal and destroy your common wealth while destroying the future of everyone now and taking the money out of the country where people like me WILL spend it and send the balance to my kin via MoneyGram?
EducationRe: Bishop Oyedepo: New Kings University Under Construction by CyberG: 11:13pm On Apr 25, 2012
David Oyedepo is NOT a perfect man like all humans. However, can anyone cast a stone against this deed except of course you are all mad? Wait, he did not go to lodge all his holdings and STOLEN money from Nigerians in the US, UK, Swtizerland, etc. Also, he has not sat on it saving it in the Nigerian banks! He has not embezzled pension funds, rigged himself into "power", advocated removal of subsidy after stealing the entire nation blind!?

He has multiple investments that employ at least 1 person in Nigeria and has not asked you to bail him out when time comes to pay the salary. In fact, he has contributed more the Nigerian economy more than all you critics will do in a million generations and you abuse him while Maduekwe fucki.n Jonathan steals all your money and uses his rigged power to impoverish you further. Now you must see something is wrong with Nigerians. Wait: he is investing billions of Naira to build a university in Nigeria for Nigerians and if only the useless government ran the country well, private universities could be an avenue to earn foreign exchange by having foreign students enroll at the university. This creates jobs for thousands of people who are jobless, provides education for people who will need it and if intensive research is incorporated, all these can only be good for the country. So, why are you useless nonentities still complaining? If you are so sure you've got something against him, why NOT confront him personally and tell him your mind? I believe he is in Sango Otta most Sundays.

Most Nigerians have designed themselves to suffer, neglecting their own gifts and resources but glad-handling the little they have to me, foreign governments and foreign institutions in Oyinbo land! angry angry
