Chei, see as oga frosbel wan spoil business for our men of God. If people stop paying tithes and offerings to them, where do you expect them to get money to buy jet and live luxurious lifestyles.

Joagbaje:

A religious section doesn't need an atheis as moderator , an atheist doesn't believe in religion nor God. So why should moderate.

I nominate Bidam or Snow White .

Correction.

We don't believe in God cos he doesn't exist.

However religion and religious people exist and we "believed" in them.

Face it guys, without us, this religious section will be so boring.

I nominate Enigma and Muskeeto. Both of them are active.

Enigma has been here for long and he is matured and sensible. He is a veteran who had the respect and admiration of most people around here.

Also Muskeeto has been here for long, he is balanced and won't let religious sentiments get in the way of fair moderation.

Seun has clearly sent us a message : that he can do whatever he likes with his website and his users opinion or wishes don't mean squat as nairalanders mean nothing more than traffic numbers to him.

But we will send him a message : we are more than traffic numbers, we are the ones that make this site what it is. Without us, this site is useless. Our wishes are valuable and are being trampled upon and we have to voice our displeasure at this. You may think we can't do anything but you are wrong.

A single foolish step by you is all it takes to initiate a downward spiral that may go farther than you imagine.

Respect our wish or you will regret this foolish step you are taking.

Remove your ayatollah from this section and send him back to where he belongs. If you can't reinstate mmw, at least replace with with a sane human not a terrorist macbantunji

ofufra: Pls ,I'm travelling to the US and wld like to buy a tablet but due to pocket size was considering a google nexus 7 32 or 16GB but I wld like to know how compatible it is with nigerian networks

Buy the one with 3g(sim card slot) it's compatible with all Nigerian networks.
Except if have access to a continuous and strong wifi network , that's only when the non-3g version can be useful in Nigeria.

^^^

Nice strategy.

Make it look like you are doing Christians a favour by unjustly removing a mod and unduly favouring your ayatollah maclatunji over any other mod. Now, no mod will ever challenge your ayatollah again or else he lose his job. I know that your intentions are not really about doing christians any favour, anybody can see that.

If you really wanted to replace Jesoul, you could have just done it or get another active christian moderator.

this decision to remove MMW over an issue with your ayatollah is just dissappointing and betrays the respect I had for you

This is what happens when an organisation has no strong competitor. The management just take any action without considering his customer's wants, cos they know you have nowhere else to go. Reminds me of Microsoft in their glory days. Now, they cant just do anything they like or they lose significant market share and that may wreck the company.

Seun, I know nairaland is your baby but without us, your one million users (majority of whom are non-muslims), your site is as good as nothing. Dont begin taking steps that will generate negative sentiments towards you from your non-muslim users.

Dont, because as soon as a strong competitor comes along.... you know what can happen.

Religion / Re: Why Has Christianity Failed Among The Jews? by cyrexx: 7:37am On Aug 07, 2013
GeneralShepherd: The average nairaland religious section atheist is obsessed with christianity.

I know Santa-claus does not exist do I wake up everyday harping my nephews and nieces about the non-existence of Santa? No!!!

Is it possible for an Atheist to have a meaningful conversation without mentioning God?

When believers in Santa Claus start behaving like God believers ( hating and killing non-santaist, Santa preachers enriching themselves by collecting tithes from poor Santaists, when Santa belief is stalling your national development etc etc etc) , I am sure you will get obsessed about Santa Claus. You won't keep quiet about Santa belief of ignorant people around you .

Still doesn't change the fact that Amoled has a better battery conservation propensity than IPS, It will even get better by the day.

When professional experience doesn't match with reality, its proper we don't pander to sentiments but observatory fact.

A clear case is the Screen comparison of the Lumia 820 to its more modern colleague, the Lumia 720.

The Amoled screen tech of the 820 is glaringly clearer and brighter than the more modern sibling, the lumia 720.And both sporting the same WXGA 800*480 resolution . . .

You are missing something here. Lumia runs on win os that has less power consumption than android. Ips is better in power management than amoled when placed side by side. Google it and see for yourself.

My posts are a torment to you and your superstitious beliefs, otherwise why do you shiver and tremble at the mention of my wonderful name, Lord Cyrexx, a name that is above all names; and you have to pull a strawman fallacy over irrelevancies just to hide your fear and trembling over my name.

How does that sound to you? That's exactly the way you sound to those who do not share your delusional superstitious assumptions that a dead jew is a source of torment to anyone.

@ all, I'm still wondering why God is a torment to atheists, you don't believe in Him, noted. What is your problem with if he's loving, cruel or not- you already said He don't exist. How can someone that don't exist be cruel? What is that to dyou?

I don't know where you get the misinformed idea that your imaginary God is a torment to anyone.

One of the most productive things one can do with his time is to try to free people's minds from superstitions and unproductive beliefs in a man-made ideas about non-existent god designed to keep them in mental servitude to their slave masters.

If he wants everyone to believe him and everyone did not believe him, doesn't that show him to be a failure?

For posting the link to this wonderful thread. Didn't know about the thread until u posted it as one of your favorite threads. It's quite an interesting thread having read all your stories. Your story was fascinating. So was cyrex and one other guy. I can only tell you that all your stories and views have now made me a better Christian. I'm working on a topic- HOW ATHEIST VIEWS HAVE MADE ME A BETTER CHRISTIAN- I'm gonna post it in a week's time.

Good for you. I'm not particularly on a mission to recruit people to atheism ( Though I would love people to critically examine their beliefs and not just do follow follow and moreso, I understand that not everyone can handle the shock that they have dedicated their whole lives to a man-made belief system and mythologies)

But, if my story or any other person's story has helped you in anyway, I say again : Good for you.
