Does that make what she did right? We are still waiting for her trial on forgery.

Now i remember where i know this man from.LAWMA. He was once the head of LAWMA. He is a good man. I had issues with LAWMA in my former office and one of our clients gave me his number. I called him to report them to him and he immediately called his boys to order.

Good day house, finally got the golden mail on Tuesday. Please I read in the previous pages where someone complained abt luggage issue for Egypt air but want detailed. Please what's their luggage limit or issues with flying them?
I hope to land first week in Nov

They randomly pick those to check their boxes at their Cairo airport and bin their fish. I was a victim last year. This year, i used BA, they didn't pick anyone out when we stopped over at Heathrow airport.

Same field. Came to Canada when he was very young so more or less full blown Canadian. Clearly didnt understand our challenges. He wasn't aware of professional bodies and how to join. Sends more of motivational emails. What I needed from him was more of an understanding of Canadain work place culture tho.

Anyway I used linkedin to establish contact with 2 other Nigerians in my field and so far their impact has been awesome.

Just wanted to see if I could get more out of the guy. Plus he told me blank he more or less just stumbled on supply chain (my profession) as a career path.

If it is TRIEC you are talking about, you are supposed to follow a plan. If he is not, you have every right to demand for a change. Which kain motivational materials? Did you tell him you didn't see all those 7 habits books to buy? Abeg go get yourself another mentor, he may not necessarily be in your field.

Ok. Thanks. Was paired with someone who I just couldn't establish rapport with. Just wanted to find out how best to maximize the mentorship

Is the person not in the same field with you? Is the person an immigrant who understands our challenges? Is the person too busy to have your time? You have the option of changing your mentor but if i were you, i will try within all positive means to connect with him, i wouldn't give up on him. An immigrant might give you the connections you need to land a job though that's not part of the program. His role is to prepare you for Canadian job market. I had a full blown Canadian as my mentor and didn't have a cause to regret the program though.

Hi guys. Just wanted to find out if anyone has gone through the TRIEC mentorship and what the experience was like. How did you get the best out of the mentor you were paired with?

I can only say that it is highly recommended.

It's got nothing to do with the payment. Same happened when I tried to check in with KLM a couple of weeks ago. I called customer service about it, and they advised it was a random check to confirm visas or PR card holders before allowing the passenger to check-in. It only means you cant check-in online, which is very annoying if you like to select your seats early. You will get checked in at the airport once they view your PR card.

Your head dey dere.

I didn't want to experience what happened to me when i was travelling back home last 2 weeks where i was begging for aisle seats at the airport for the 2 flights.

Naso i tried 24 hrs online check in only to see the error message of no permission to travel to Canada. Nobody told me to leave early for the airport to sort out whatever the issue was as afraid come dey catch me.

Thankfully i am back to Canada.

Thanks.

How did you buy your ticket ? Did you use a credit card? If you did try and get authorization from the owner of the credit cards before you travel . If not you risk having your flight canceled

I think it has to do with visa/PR card.

Am now back in Canada.

Thanks.

Please why is BA showing missing authorisation to travel to Canada when i attempted to check in online despite having a PR card?

Please has anyone experienced such before? I hope it isn't going to pose a problem when i get to the airport today.

@deni83

congrats on your landing and thanks for sharing... may the land favour you.
I have some questions:
1. are there some foodstuff that are not acceptable on Egyptair?
2. how did you book with them, cos we have been trying but their website is not working well?

Last year Egyptair binned my dry fish and stock fish. Dunno about now though. They random pick people to check their luggages.

#COPIED

WHATSAPP MESSAGES, VIDEOS AND PICTURES.

I am a lawyer licensed to practice law in Canada and I handle a lot of immigration cases.

I came across a case this last Sunday (July 1, 2018 - Canada Day), which I thought is necessary to be shared amongst closed ones without disclosing confidential information.

This client travelled from Africa into Canada and was interviewed at the point of entry into Canada. During the course of the interview, he was asked to hand over his phone to the Canada Border Services Agency officer. Upon reviewing the videos stored on his phone. The officer saw a video of a man raping a child and detained him for possessing child pornography.

He was determined to be ineligible to enter into Canada on grounds of criminality and was refused entry into Canada as he was determined to be a risk to public safety. He has now been charged to Court for being in possession of child pornography.

My client alleges that it was a widely spread WhatsApp video in Africa (I am sure some of you would have seen the same video) and that it automatically downloaded into his phone without his knowledge. He will definitely have his day in Court to prove his innocence, but we do not have to wait to allow such things happen.

What’s the moral of this story? This is the era of social media and the distribution of all sort of messages/videos/pictures. Check your phone on a daily basis and ensure that you delete all unsolicited pictures, messages and videos. Block anyone who has a penchant for distributing unwarranted pictures, messages and videos - you may not only be saving yourself from unforeseen embarrassment and/or criminal charges, you don’t want your kids to stumble into such messages, videos and pictures.

Finally, a whole lot is indulged in Africa (not meaning to be demeaning). It is a different ball game out of Africa. So for EVERYONE travelling, do a thorough search of the content of your phone before you embark on each trip - just to be sure you are CLEAN. What happened to my client could have happened to anyone, just because he didn’t pay any attention to the videos/messages he received on WhatsApp.

This is not a joke, it is a true story.

This is for those travelling in and out of Canada.

Hi everyone, I'm asking on behalf of a friend (silent reader) who just got ppr mail yesterday. The head of department for her previous company (the one she used her work experience in) just passed away last week and the company has removed his details from the website. The deceased was the one who signed her reference letter.

She is worried that another review of the file will be done before her passport is stamped and that if they don't find his details on the website it can cause problem. Can this be an issue? I do remember seeing somewhere that another review may be done but I'm not sure, hence her asking me to put the question here.

Your response will be highly appreciated. Thanks.

Your review is normally done before PPR. My update was done before PPR. Once you have gotten to PPR, just start packing your load. Nothing to worry over.
