Are you a black female accountant or finance professional in Ontario and you are yet to join BFAN (Black Female Accountant Network)? You sure have missed the Oct 27th conference because we are fully booked for it but there are other conferences coming up in the future. Also it is an easy access to other networking opportunities and conferences. If you are interested please pm me so that we can take it up from there. |
einsteino:I want to quote you to add my i know but couldn't locate the page. I know if i call 911, police, ambulance and fire service will park their cars at my doorstep within 5 minutes while engaging me on phone to make sure i am safe. |
EVILFOREST:Who told you they will suffer it? |
Despite having such techoncrats on board, They (PDP) still looted our economy. This is just to tell us that looting is a Nigerian thing and not a political party thing. Until we change our value system, looting will continue in this country regardless of the political party or people in power. |
The foreign affairs posting got me sha. |
dulaman:Does that make what she did right? We are still waiting for her trial on forgery. Nigerians play politics with everything. |
Now i remember where i know this man from.LAWMA. He was once the head of LAWMA. He is a good man. I had issues with LAWMA in my former office and one of our clients gave me his number. I called him to report them to him and he immediately called his boys to order. |
mzjennypher:Yeah it's long enough to understand the environment and make an informed decision. I did a week and had every cause to regret it. |
mzjennypher:They randomly pick those to check their boxes at their Cairo airport and bin their fish. I was a victim last year. This year, i used BA, they didn't pick anyone out when we stopped over at Heathrow airport. |
philip3:If it is TRIEC you are talking about, you are supposed to follow a plan. If he is not, you have every right to demand for a change. Which kain motivational materials? Did you tell him you didn't see all those 7 habits books to buy? Abeg go get yourself another mentor, he may not necessarily be in your field. |
philip3:Is the person not in the same field with you? Is the person an immigrant who understands our challenges? Is the person too busy to have your time? You have the option of changing your mentor but if i were you, i will try within all positive means to connect with him, i wouldn't give up on him. An immigrant might give you the connections you need to land a job though that's not part of the program. His role is to prepare you for Canadian job market. I had a full blown Canadian as my mentor and didn't have a cause to regret the program though. |
philip3:I can only say that it is highly recommended. |
vascey:Congratulations. I remember when it started. |
Hmm. It is well with my country. |
https://events.ismg.io/event/fraud-breach-prevention-toronto-2018/ This summit comes up on 11th and 12th September 2018. |
It's your file with EFCC that made you take that decision. |
They show you your efcc file, you join APC. |
How many times do we get reports of foreigners assaulting Nigerians here without them being punished for it. |
The skull miners are at it again. Anything to make it. |

A555:Your head dey dere. I didn't want to experience what happened to me when i was travelling back home last 2 weeks where i was begging for aisle seats at the airport for the 2 flights. Naso i tried 24 hrs online check in only to see the error message of no permission to travel to Canada. Nobody told me to leave early for the airport to sort out whatever the issue was as afraid come dey catch me. Thankfully i am back to Canada. Thanks. |
Demiyike:I think it has to do with visa/PR card. Am now back in Canada. Thanks. |
Please why is BA showing missing authorisation to travel to Canada when i attempted to check in online despite having a PR card? Please has anyone experienced such before? I hope it isn't going to pose a problem when i get to the airport today. |
Otnias:Last year Egyptair binned my dry fish and stock fish. Dunno about now though. They random pick people to check their luggages. |
they did not see fulani herdsmen to drive out of peoples farmland. nigeria is indeed in trouble |
#COPIED WHATSAPP MESSAGES, VIDEOS AND PICTURES. I am a lawyer licensed to practice law in Canada and I handle a lot of immigration cases. I came across a case this last Sunday (July 1, 2018 - Canada Day), which I thought is necessary to be shared amongst closed ones without disclosing confidential information. This client travelled from Africa into Canada and was interviewed at the point of entry into Canada. During the course of the interview, he was asked to hand over his phone to the Canada Border Services Agency officer. Upon reviewing the videos stored on his phone. The officer saw a video of a man raping a child and detained him for possessing child pornography. He was determined to be ineligible to enter into Canada on grounds of criminality and was refused entry into Canada as he was determined to be a risk to public safety. He has now been charged to Court for being in possession of child pornography. My client alleges that it was a widely spread WhatsApp video in Africa (I am sure some of you would have seen the same video) and that it automatically downloaded into his phone without his knowledge. He will definitely have his day in Court to prove his innocence, but we do not have to wait to allow such things happen. What’s the moral of this story? This is the era of social media and the distribution of all sort of messages/videos/pictures. Check your phone on a daily basis and ensure that you delete all unsolicited pictures, messages and videos. Block anyone who has a penchant for distributing unwarranted pictures, messages and videos - you may not only be saving yourself from unforeseen embarrassment and/or criminal charges, you don’t want your kids to stumble into such messages, videos and pictures. Finally, a whole lot is indulged in Africa (not meaning to be demeaning). It is a different ball game out of Africa. So for EVERYONE travelling, do a thorough search of the content of your phone before you embark on each trip - just to be sure you are CLEAN. What happened to my client could have happened to anyone, just because he didn’t pay any attention to the videos/messages he received on WhatsApp. This is not a joke, it is a true story. This is for those travelling in and out of Canada. |
IsaAbubakar:What a conclusion! May God have mercy on this generation. |
mimimile93:You think you are doing me? You are doing yourself. You will have some explanations to do to the unborn generations. Just because of jollof rice! |
